Hi, I hope all of you are doing well. I have a problem with my computer randomly restarting. It doesn't crash, it just restarts. It can happen while playing games, while idling on the desktop, while running benchmarks, watching YouTube videos,....etc. There are no minidump files either. I managed to stop the issue from happening but the fix doesn't make any sense to me, that's where I need you help. Basically, when I set my GPU power limit to 80% in MSI afterburner, the system is rock solid. Any higher and I experience random restarts. I know this is a potential power issue, but I don't know how to resolve this because I already swapped the PSU to a ROG Thor Platinum 1200w as that is one of the highest tier of PSUs available where I live and the power draw on the OLED screen doesn't go past 600 watts under any circumstances. I also used two 8-pin cables from the PSU instead of using a branched cable. My PSU has hybrid fan control and if I keep the fan on, the restarts are lessened but not eliminated I also noticed that the back of my case lights up the lamp on my tester screwdriver. The casing of the PSU doesn't light up the tester screwdriver, nor do any of the other steel panels on my case. I don't know if that has any significance but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Complete System Specs: CPU: Ryzen 9 5950X ( Stock settings) RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z RGB running at 3600MHz CL14 (Default XMP settings) GPU: Palit RTX 3080 Ti Gaming Pro (80% power limit, no OC) Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero PSU: Asus ROG Thor 1200W Platinum CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black Storage: 1TB Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0, 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus, 1TB Samsung 870 EVO, 10TB WD Purple, 6TB WD Black Soundcard: ASUS Xonar DX, Sennheiser GSX 1000 Fans: 2x Cooler Master Sickleflow 120 ARGB White Edition Case: Thermaltake Armor Revo Snow Edition. Comes with three 200mm fans, two of which have Blue LEDs Keyboard: Corsair K100 RGB with OPX switches Mouse: Razer Naga Pro with Charging Dock Mic: Massdrop Minimic OS: Windows 10 Pro. Installed in 2015 as an upgrade from Windows 7 Pro. Four Major Hardware changes from 3770K on Windows 7 to 6700K on Windows 10, Then to the Ryzen 9 3900X on the X570-E and finally to the Ryzen 9 5950X on the Crosshair VIII Dark Hero. OS Drive was also changed multiple times. From the OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS 120 GB to the 240GB HyperX Savage, then the 256GB 850 Pro, and finally to the 1TB Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0

Hi everyone I’m having some trouble with my PCand was hopping someone can help me. My specs are, Ryzen 7 5800X GTX 3080 TI 32GB of 3200mhz RAM 1000W PSU i just got an RTX 3080 TI and found out that the card doesn’t work when the CPU was slightly overclocked. I have an ROG motherboard and I used Asus’ optimize wizard to up my CPU performance a little. But unless the BIOS are set to default the card will not run. I thought it was a power issue so I went out and got a 1000W PSU but that didn’t seem to fix it. And to be real sure it wasn’t a power issue I rigged it so that the GPU had an independent 850W PSU separate from the system and that still didn’t work. Is there anything I can change in the BIOS to make this work? I don’t want to run the CPU at default settings because I would be leaving performance on the table. Hopefully someone has the answer to my problem.

Hello, Up until recently i.e. this week my Ryzen 9 MSI RTX 3080 TI PC has been running perfectly at 1440p 165HZ BUT in the last few days it has randomly started to micro stutter framewise even in older games and even if set to 1080p e.t.c. I have tried the general troubleshooting steps: - Update drivers - Reseat and Reset parts - Close background tabs - Turned off G-Sync / Turned On G-Sync same with V-Sync to see if makes any difference I am looking at rolling back my graphics driver to version before 20/9/21 see if that does anything but really looking for help as this system was running perfectly until this week PC Specs: 64GB 4x16GB DDR4 3600Mhz Ram AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz MSI RTX 3080 TI 12GB VRam The PC was running perfectly fine and at 1440p 165Hz no problem on ultra settings for the games I play but now just stutters randomly and also when alt-tabbing (which I know can be caused via G-Sync). Monitor is a Gigabyte G27QC A Video evidence: https://youtu.be/aEZkt4pMgBU GPU Voltage was around 95-96% when this was happening again I changed NOTHING from how it used to run.

I recently upgrade from a GTX 1080 Ti to a RTX 3080 Ti but Overwatch and Halo Infinite both are getting 40-50fps on epic settings, I have tried completely reformatting drive and reinstalling Windows 10, updating drivers, changing power profiles to performance, updating M.2 drivers, enabled DOCP for the RAM, and even swapped out the PSU from 860 to 1000 and nothing has helped temps all seem to be within normal ranges as well. the Specs are as follows: Ryzen 7 5800X Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti FE 64gb 3200mhz g. Skill Ripjaws Asus ROG STRIX X570-e wifi Seasonic 1000 Prime Titanium Corsiar h150 icue (360mm AIO) Samsung Odyssey G9 49” ultra wide (5120x1440) Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB Samsung 970 Evo 1TB

Hi All, I managed to get hold of a 3080ti XC3 Ultra at MSRP which i recieved today. Im having an issue with my Acer x34p monitor where when i try to increase the refresh rate from anything above 60 hz, the monitor acts like its getting an intermitent signal from my pc. This issue only arose when i installed the card My old card (GTX 1080 ti) never encountered this issue. Ive done vbios updates, new drivers for both gpu and monitor, unistalling drivers, cleared cmos, enabled HAGS (aparrently a fix on earlier rtx 30 series cards) but still no luck. Any advice would be welcome before i open up an rma request eith evga Many thanks, DaButterGamer

Summary: Benchmarks and hashrates for the new RTX 3060 LHR (GA106-302, the one with the new SKU) are released on EXPreview.com [1], based on a model from ZOTAC released exclusively in China two weeks ago [2]. Upon first mining tests, it seems that the card would immediately start with a lower hash rate, unlike the original RTX 3060 which lowers its hash rate after running a period of time [3]. This supports the previous rumors that Nvidia would implement further changes to the limiter, possibly at hardware level instead of relying on software/drivers [4]. The new RTX 3060 performs around 20-22 MH/s at 119W (stock settings). There are apparently no differences in gaming and other synthetic performance. The upcoming RTX 3080 Ti mining performance has also been leaked. According to the claims, the card performs at 57-58 MH/s at 299W (stock settings), which indicates limitation to hashrate also in effect. Quotes My thoughts Hopefully whatever change Nvidia made implements some robust hardware-based mining limiter otherwise it would be vulnerable to the same exploits as their earlier oopsie. However, still no indications of changes to limit other mining algorithms. It is also unknown whether the new limitations in place could still be partially unlocked on linux [5], as miner devs have recently managed to somehow come up with workarounds that allow the original RTX 3060 to run at 75% hashrate on risers with no displays plugged in (older drivers only for now). Budget (including currency): up to £3200 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: anime rpg / JRPG Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): have LG CX 55 4k120hz Ideally Lian Li Dynamic 001 mini SNOW EDITiON, lian li strimmer cable, lian LI AIO 2 fans on the right side of the motherboard and three lian li argb fans top and bottom, corsair or kingston white rgb ram etc…. Hi guys, thursday was a miserable day, just as bad as the 3080 launch where i was refreshing the website every minute until the very second the 3080ti became available but but yet again my milliseconds response did not take me to a page where you could “add to cart” and with half an hour of retrying, it eventually got the out of stock label. Same in all the retailers i know. i know they have stock as they are available in Pre-built systems! Currently the 3090 systems are the same price as the 3080ti ones so i may as well, although i must say i have no Need for a 3090, i just am at the end of my teather having been trying to buy a new pc for a few years now and at least a 3090 could make me a few pennies more than the 3080ti during the winter months where i could use the pc instead of gas central heating. Would you guys just accept how things are and buy a Pre-built, since that is clearly the only way to get a graphics card these days? If so, can you recommend any shops in the UK please? I would get one that has the Ryzen 9 5900x and hopefully be able to make use of the motherboard to transplant it into the Lian Li 011 Mini Snow Edition I am a beginner and only built a PC once and it was with a friend at university who was very helpful as i have a really poor attention span for challenging tasks. Also there is the matter at hand conserving my dream chassis, that is all white… A chunky black graphics card would look all wrong surrounded by white everything and the asus white cards don’t seem to be in stock anywhere. There is a Galac Hall of Fame 3090 that is available at msrp for £2500 that would be cheaper to buy with the other parts than a pre-built 3080ti system!!!! i would be very grateful for your advice please. Until then, i’m still stuck at home alone with nothing but an ipad for gaming on. I can’t handle more months of trawling the same sites over and over again looking for stock! many thanks, Annie in the uk

At 1440p, is an RTX 3090 overkill and not worth the huge price increase? I want to play Cyberpunk 2077 with all it's juicy graphical goodness. I have an ultrawide at 3440x1440* and I want to crank the settings up and play with RTX enabled. My understanding is that the RTX 3090 has a slightly faster clock and considerably more memory, and that the increased memory is what allows you to play at higher resolutions. Therefore, am I correct in saying that as I'm "only" going to play at 1440p, the RTX 3080 will do just fine and I won't see a noticeable bump with the RTX 3090. Saw a video on LTT YT on Cyberpunk at 4k and 8k** and the RTX 3080 was handling 4k (admittedly with DLSS) just fine; so presumably 1440p will be much more performant? To chuck in some speculation, there's an apparent RTX 3080 Ti releasing in January 2021 with more memory. If memory is the only area being increased then does it still stand that this won't provide a bump to performance? Either way getting hold of any RTX 3000 cards is basically out of the question until 2021, but I like to plan! *Technically more than 1440p but question still stands. **Shame LTT didn't run on other cards/resolutions closer to viewers hardware!

As the title suggests I’m on the hunt for a shorter in height GPU to fit comfortably in my HTPC case. No overclocking or serious tweaking, I just plan to drop this card in and use it vanilla. I don’t care about RGB or how it looks, the case is a sleeper meant to blend in with AV equipment (but if it has bonkers RGB that’s ok too, it will be hidden). I prefer reliability and quieter fans over a few more FPS. The MSI Ventus & Zotac Trinity cards both will fit. Either the 3080 or 3080 ti variants. The Zotac is noticeably cheaper in my region at the moment, but I have no experience with these cards. Any reason to go with/avoid one of these? Any other shorter brands people recommend? Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom!

Hello, I just got a hold of an Aorus RTX 3080 Ti Master and I am having issues with setting a fan curve that will actually stay set. I am new to Gigabyte products and I have read that the software is less than satisfactory. I bought this card from Bestbuy because it was in stock and I have been waiting a while (Like everyone else). Is there a specific utility that will work better with this card? I am currently using MSI Afterburner to at least get all fans spinning during game play. I was having an issue with the middle fan not spinning other then after boot up. My first build and I am still learning so any suggestions other than getting a different card would be most helpful! Intel I7 10700k Asus ROG Strix z490-E Gaming Mobo 64gb Corsair Vengeance 3200 Ram 1000w Corsair psu Windows 10 If anymore info is needed let me know! Thank you everyone!

Hello, I have a PC with the following specs: CPU: i7-8700K GPU: None (yet) Cooler: Corsair H100i 240mm RGB Mobo: Aorus Z390 Pro Wifi RAM: 32GB (4x8) DDR4 3200MHz SSD: 1TB NVMe M.2 PSU: Corsair RM750x +4 Corsair ML120 RGB case fans I was gonna buy the Asus ROG Strix 2080 Ti but cancelled due to quarantine and stores shut down, now I've decided to wait for the RTX 3080 and 3080 Ti launch in Q4 2020. Based on the research I did before picking the parts, the 750W PSU from Corsair would be enough to handle the i7-8700k@4.7GHz and the RTX 2080 Ti without any significant overclocking. I'm wondering if the same will hold true if I buy the 3080 Ti when it's released. Is there a chance that the TDP of the new card will be a lot higher, which means I need a better PSU too? (I'm mainly asking for your speculation, because we don't have actual info in the 3080 Ti until now) Also, is 750W enough for this kind of configuration (8700k at 4.7GHz and RTX 2080 Ti in "Gaming" mode)? I'm mainly asking because someone told me that they bought a 1000w psu for those specs, just to be on the safe side. I really don't want the new card's performance to be limited because of the PSU, so I'm kinda worried I didn't buy something bigger. Thank you

I want to build a new rig for the upcoming RTX 3000 series. Too bad while i can build a pc I have no deep knowledge bout pc components. The PC will mainly be used for gaming with minor or gpu heavy tasks. The big question for me is, should i build the PC before or after the new RTX release (and buy the gpu when it releases)? On the one hand the prices may drop to boost the sales they also can go up to get the more profit. There my lack of deep knowledge rly pains. Wich is the better way to go? What do i want to spend: I have 2000€ - 2500€ (2250U$US - 2800$US) in mind. What do i take from my old rig: Only the general stuff. Mouse, keybord, Monitors i allready have. I have one 32 inch 1440p main monitor and 2 1080p 27 inch monitors + one 42 inch(?) 1080p tv wich is only on when i watch series. For the os and games etc i have a 500gb and 1tb samsung ssd. What do i have in mind: The goal is a high end gaming pc with looks in mind. Becasue of that i have some components in mind. case: NZXT H710i black/white edition. gpu: 3090ti 3080ti (sry typo). I dont know the price for one but i read 999$ somewhere. Dunno if thats anywhere the real price but i would go for a 3080 if its too expensive. cooling: NZXT KRAKEN X73. This one is just by it looks. If there is a better alternative iam open for it. psu: Nothing specific in mind but dont want to cheap that one out. Something around 750W based on what i found bout the RTX 3080ti. Since i want to use cablemod modular is needed. ram: G.Skill Trident Z / Z Neo. 16gb should be enough but i have no cluse bout the speed. motherdoard: Sry i have no clue wich motherbards are good. cpu: No idea here as well. I dont fancy amd or intel. I rly hope you can help me with this one.
