Guys, I just built my PC, and it idles around 40C. However, during games, it goes up to 85C, which I don't like. I am considering undervolting it. I have a Ryzen 7 3700X and RTX 2070 Super. So, I need your suggestions: How much should I reduce the voltage? If someone else with the same processor and GPU has undervolted their system, please let me know the voltage value you have set.

So I am having this really obscure issue that I cannot seem to figure out wherever I ask for help. I recently bought a new monitor (144hz) and I am having some trouble. When I first set up the monitor, I had no issues that I could find. One day I wanted to find a new way to record clips as the game bar was recording a black screen, and decided on nvidia shadowplay. This is just a different game DVR software. The moment I downloaded it and tried to use it my monitor and games started acting strange. My GPU usage increased from before, I was getting screen tearing that I could not stop with GSYNC or VSYNC, and there is another issue with the formatting of my games. Every game so far has been screen tearing, and some games I am scared to even open because while the formatting thing is happening my CPU jumps up to 100% usage so I instantly kill the game as to protect it. Video of the formatting issue linked here. I have since deleted shadowplay and the problems persisted. I tried many different solutions like playing with my control panel settings, all the blah blah your monitor can't keep up with your GPU stuff. Nothing has worked, and I have a feeling the problem may not be that simple. I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my GPU, I have tried variable refresh rate on and off, I have tried Vsync on and off, triple buffering on and off, and I also did a full uninstall of my graphics drivers and a clean install of the new ones. One more thing to note is that it says my monitor (Acer VG240Y S) is not G sync compatible in the control panel even though it is and I have a 1.4 DP cable. Operating system- Windows 10 64 bit Ryzen 5 3600 OC 4.20 GHZ, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC, 16 GB DDR4 3200 memory, 600 Watt - Thermaltake Smart Series - 80 PLUS Gold PSU, 1TB Samsung 860 EVO SSD, ASRock B550 PRO 4 MOBO Is there anyone who has experienced this or may have extensive knowledge of this type of stuff? My pea brain cannot handle this level of computer science. Thanks ahead of time.

I want to upgrade my cpu to play games on 1440p and 144 Hz. This works mostly fine with Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and CS:GO. The problem is BFV and the upcomming BF. BFV stutters like hell and this even on medium settings. I get around 80-100 FPS, but it feels like 60. To combat this problem I want to upgrade my CPU and with it most likely my mobo to make the bump to PCI-E 4. Any suggestions? I built a PC 6 months ago(july-august 2020). It has an rtx 2070 super, ryzen 9 3900x, asus prime x570 pro csm motherboard, 32 gigs of 3200 gskill trident z rgb and an 80+ gold antec 1000w psu. Since I don't care about sound levels, I have all my coolermaster 360ml radiator's 3 fans, gpu fans and 4 case fans at max speed. Randomly though, my PC's screen goes black, it is still running but no cursor or anything shows and the cpu and case fans ramp down. The cpu and case fans have been set to max in the bios. I don't have any overclocks on. How can I fix this problem

I would like to ask for some help with GPU clearance in the NZXT H210 case. I was planning to build a brand new PC with components I choose but I got an opportunity which I couldn't refuse. I bought a nicely specced out PC from a kind fellow and now I'm stuck with options. The mobo is a Mini ITX one and I don't want to put it in a mid tower and I really fancy the look of the H210 case. The question is, will I be able to fit the GIGABYTE GeForce® RTX 2070 SUPER™ GAMING OC 8G GPU into case? The length isn't the issue, rather the height. On the official page I see that the case is only able to accomodate a GPU which is 44mm in height and the GIGABYTE one is 50.2mm. I have read that some people could fit even a GPU which is 52mm in height but I couldn't find proof. Does someone have experience with this case?

Hi all- I am looking to get a GPU for a VR PC I am making for my basement and to play some games on. This is not a main PC, so I do not want to spend a ton of money on the GPU. I previously made a forum post about this and I had settled on the RX 5700 XT, but the gpu I ended up getting was defective so I had to return it. In addition the RTX 3060 I had before is now freed up so I could use that. The system I am putting it in is a Ryzen 7 3700X & B450 - based system. I can sell the RTX 3060 also and get something better if that makes more sense in this system. I was thinking either RTX 2070 Super or RTX 3060 Ti. What do you guys think? I want something that reasonably fits the system I am putting it in, but does not totally break the bank.

Current build: AIO-Cooled R9 3900x, EVGA RTX 2070 Super Black, 32 GB DDR4 3600 Corsair Vengeance RAM, ASUS Prime X570 mobo. What do I do with it?: Games, Elden Ring, Destiny 2, Dragon engine Yakuza games, Halo infinite, and lots of VRChat and other VR titles on Vive Cosmos Elite. currently at 1080p So after 3 years of chugging along with this PC, I've really started to notice the cracks. I can't run Destiny 2 at 144hz consistently. Elden ring runs about as good as it can, and VRchat is CHUGGING. I'm looking for advice on what type of upgrades are worth doing, whether it's just upgrading to the best the AM4 socket has to offer or replacing my graphics card, all the way up to a new pc build so I'm not on a dead end platform any more. Any advice helps, I'm looking for the best way to get a performance upgrade.

Hey guys, I've been reacently realizing something about my PC. I have a GIgabyte 2070 Super that I bought a few years ago and now it's having strong fan spikes which is weird and really loud at times. So I'm using the FanControl Github app to try to monitor my GPU fan speed. However, I something I just realized is that for the 3 GPU fans I have only the ouside 2 every spins. My middle GPU fan never spins, I don't know what to do as the FanControl software only sees one GPU as a whole and when I turn it to 100% still only the outside 2 fans spin. Right now I'm just hard capping my gpu fans to 50%, is there a problem with my GPU?

Hey, I recently bought a MSI rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio and in one of my favourite games I dont can barely get above 60 fps and even drops lower than 50 in some cases (driving very fast or a lot of explosions). Cpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5): between 20% and 30% Gpu Usage (ingame, Gta 5) max. at 2% (in Warzone it goes up to like 55%) GPU Clock (although it's overclocked): 1605 - that's the default clock (should be at 1800 at least) And it doesn't make a difference if I play on all low settings or everything on ultra in Gta. Although on Ultra it's more stable. I first thought it could be that it's running of an HDD but when I reinstalled it onto my ssd it stayed the same. My Specs: Mainboard: Asus B450 F-Gaming Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600 @3.95 Ghz (Box cooler) Ram: 16 GB of GSkill Aegis @3000 mhz with CL16 timings (xmp profile enabled) Gpu: Msi Rtx 2070 super Gaming X trio, overlocked (powerlimit at max, core clock: +100, memory clock: +450) through msi afterburner or dragon center (doesnt make any difference even if I uninstall one of them) ! When I lower the powerlimit to 100 for some reason I get above 80 fps but only for about 1 hour. Psu: Seasonic Focus Gold 650W, standard cables Case: Nzxt H510, with 2 intake and 2 outtake fans Memory: 970 EvoPlus 500 GB Nvme ssd from Samsung Screen: Asus VG278Q (TN, 144hz, 1ms) In other games it's fine: 1080p Call of Duty Warzone (everything on ultra): average fps of 140 Cs:Go (high): 350 - 420 fps Apex Legends (everything on ultra) : 135fps Temps: Cpu: doesnt get much hotter than 75°C Gpu: almost idle so about 50°C

I have an RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition that has been pretty quiet up until recently when i overclocked it. I raised the power limit to 120% and overclocked everything just fine but then a few hours later the card started making this weird buzzing sound that I have never heard before. I reverted my overclock but left the power limit at 120% and the buzz persisted. So i tried lowering the power limit and what do you know, the buzz decreases the lower the power limit is. Before i overclocked the card, there was no buzzing sound whatsoever and now it wont go away no matter what. The buzzing sounds like its coming from the front of the card right before where the "RTX 2070 Super" starts on the backplate. Any ideas whats going on?

I just bought a new pc and for some reason I'm having weird fps drops that happen in every game and even while just browsing the web or in the desktop. These fps drops happen at the same time with gpu usage drops, the attached image shows my gpu usage while playing cs go, its usually at 40% and I get 380 fps and then the usage drops to 0% and back up and I get 20 fps. These drops could happen two to three times a minute in game but rarely happen while browsing the web.(I tried updating the drivers but nothing changed) My specs are Ryzen5 3600 Asus b450 prime Corsair16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 Memory - Vengeance® LPX - Black GALAX GeForce RTX2070 Super XPG ASX8200PNP-512GT-C 2TB - 3.5 inch -SATA3 6Gb/s - 7200rpm - 256MB Cache - BarraCuda If you guys have any idea what is causing the problem and how to fix it ill be happy to try it.

Good morning, I have had the same i7 4790k since 2017 and just recently upgraded my GPU from an R9 380 to a 2070 super. I did achieve some performance improvement obviously but maybe not as much as I would like. For example: Warzone on Ultra @ 1080p I am achieving 80-110 fps and sometimes it drops into the low 70's. I was wondering if the CPU is holding me back since it is quite old and if so what would be some good suggestions on upgrades? My Build

So what's people's opinions and experiences on these two series of cards. From the UK the 2070S seem to be around the £450 to £550 mark, whilst the 5700XT are around £300 to £400. I've read that the 5700XTs are still heavily hit by lots of different driver problems, such as stuttering above 144Hz, black screen issues and so on. They also don't come with the NVENC encoder for streaming, but that is a huge price difference so still not sure how easy it is to compare to each other, especially as AMD seem to have their own streaming solutions. Any owners of either series, especially if experiencing having used both want to add their experiences using these cards?

Ryzen 7 2700x, RTX 2070S Planning to streaming, recording gaming. I am worried about bottlenecking but I don't even know why that happens and what exactly is it? For my understanding choosing a poor CPU for a good GPU. My screen will be 2560 x 1440 old apple thunderbolt. I plan to play and stream (anything that I can get my hands on) at 720p (maybe even 1080p if I am not aiming too high), aiming for stable 60 fps. I also want to enjoy games (modded minecraft mostly, story based FPS) at 1440p without any recording or streaming. But my main concern with this build is NOT enjoying gaming but streaming and recording. Should I be worried with choice of my CPU or it is all right? Does down sizing my screen resolution have an impact on performance of CPU or GPU, should I with an exact screen? Thank you! (I have found this similar topic but it doesn't really answer a lot of my questions: )

Hi all I am planning to build my first PC at the end of June in the sales (Australia). I am unsure if I should wait for the new NVIDIA 3000s series (seems like I could be waiting until next year) or if I should buy a 2070 super now and then potentially sell and upgrade a couple months after 3000s launch? My budget for the GPU is around $1000AUD ($650USD) so it's entirely likely that the new 3000 series could be way too expensive for me Thanks

Hi guys, I upgraded to a new GPU and monitor two weeks ago. The GPU is a Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super and the monitor is an Asus VG27AQ. I mainly play Overwatch and wanted to get close to 144 fps on this. But the new set up has led to several (weird) problems. I'm not getting a consistent 144 fps in game even with settings on low. I don't really expect to get stable 144, but I would like stable 120 or even 110. As it is, I sometimes get 144, but rapidly changing between 70 and 144. The fps counter is constantly flying between those values and more likely to be around 70. What's more, Sometimes I get extremely stuttering frames, much worse than I saw with my old R9 380X. I've enabled G-Sync on Nividia control panel, windows, in-game and on the monitor and disable Nvidia Shadowplay. GPU temps look fine, it doesn't seem to be under any stress. I've updated my Nvidia drivers and removed my AMD ones. The second issue is audio. I have my new monitor connected with DisplayPort and an older 1080p monitor connected with HDMI. When I boot the system, audio for both monitors works fine, but after a while (I think it might be after one or both of the monitors sleep) audio stops working from both. I can still hear audio through my headphones, and windows detects both outputs and shows volume levels when I play sounds. I'm not sure if this is related to the monitor or the GPU. The fans on the GPU. When I boot my PC, the fans on the GPU spin up to around 26% of their max, but then keep ramping up higher and coming back down. I've tried resolving this using fan curves in MSI Afterburner, but to no avail. The only workaround I have is to manually set the fan speed to ~37% and then gradually lower that, until its around 26% and then switch to auto, which seems to work. Any help would be amazing. For reference, my CPU is an i5-6600k on an Asus Z170-A with 16GB of RAM. The CPU is pretty old, but it doesn't seem to be maxing out when I play Overwatch, though it was when I played PUBG and the stuttering made that game unplayable. I've also tried installing the GPU in another slot on the motherboard, but the same results. Thanks

The evga rtx 2060 ko is the same die as rtx 2080 but with some cores locked so if we flash a rtx 2080 bios to the rtx 2060 then can unlock the cores and make it a rtx 2080

Hey guys, got a new GPU here after i had a faulty RTX 1080. Worked like a dream for a week, but now whenever i play anything remotely graphic intense the fans will rev up to full RPM and the only way to slow it down is to shut down my PC. I have performed a DDU reset to get old drivers out, issue persists. I've reseated the whole GPU too, everything is where it should be and nothing is in the way of the fans. Also, when keeping track of my fans in GPU-Z i cannot see the RPM at all, even when its full speed and sounding like a jet. I've tried adjusting the fan speeds in Aorus Engine but it will not control the fans, its like there is only two settings, low RPM or full-turbo. May be also worth noting that the GPU temp has never gone past 63c. The temps in the case are all good. Kind of lost on what to do to be honest! Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm in the process of picking parts for my first PC build and I want it to be as silent as possible. So far I've decided to go with Noctua for the CPU cooler but when it comes to the GPUs I don't see many that are marketed as quiet. I've decided to get an RTX 2070 SUPER but the only cards I see that could be quiet are the EVGA XC HYBRID and the MSI GAMING X TRIO. My problem with the Hybrid cooler is I don't know how loud the pump is so I don't know if that will be an issue. And the TRIO seems to be unavailable for purchase although this might change in a month or two when I actually buy the parts. My budget is roughly between $500-$600 USD. Any help figuring out what the quietest and coolest 2070 SUPER within my budget is greatly appreciated.

Hello, i bought RDR2 a couple months ago and immediately noticed that "Other Apps" took exactly 5416MB of Vram, now i tried a couple things back then but i can't quite recall what they were but it didn't do nothing so i just waited for a lot of patches in case it was a bug. Fast forward to today where this number is exactly the same, now, i'm 100% sure that nothing other than Steam and the game itself is running in the background i closed everything chrome, icue, steelseries engine etc. But nothing, i even booted my pc in safe mode and again the same exact amount, i tried Vulkan and DX12 and nothing changed, i really don't know what else to do i even deleted and reinstalled the entire game which with my internet connection literally took a whole week so i'm not too keen on doing that again. Here is a photo of the graphics settings menu: My systems specs (in case they matter) are: CPU: Intel Core i7 4790(non k) GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super RAM: 16gb 2133mhz Edit: Following rockstars recommendation i closed all running services excluding steam and rockstar and it didn't help.

Hi guys! I need some help, so I recently (August 25th) upgraded my Grapihics Card from a R290x to a MSI Ventus RTX 2070 Super OC, I uninstalled my old Graphics Drivers with DDU, updated all of my drivers on my pc (which helped), but I keep getting a freeze when playing games, sometimes after 10 min sometimes after 2 hours or so, I tried to look up forums followed some threads which seemed to help postpone the crash but what happened before was my screen just turned black when playing Dota 2 but could still talk on Teamspeak with my friends, after updating the drivers, I no longer can do that and the game just freezes in its frame. My computer is relatively old, however, I'm not sure if it could be caused because of old hardware. If somebody would be kind enough to help me identify the problem I would really appreciate it! Here are my specs: i7 4930k (no overclock) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 Kingston 16gb HyperX WD Black 2TB SSD Intel 530 240gb Corsair Hydro H110i Corsair AX860i My Cpu Temps reach maximum of 45 degrees celsius and my GPU max 68 degrees celsius roughly. The only thing I see is maybe a system reinstall, but I'm not sure if it would stop random crashes, I also looked at task manager on my second screen and I've seen no spikes, only thing that I saw that was weird was that my HDD went into 90%-92% usage from 100%. Thank you all! Sincerely, Sebastian
