PCPartPicker Completed Build Link Budget - $1300 Country - USA Build Uses - Gaming, Streaming, Video Editing, and Content Creation BUILD SPECS - Ryzen 9 3900X, NH-U14S, G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200MHz RAM, 1TB 970 EVO, 2TB (2 x 1TB) 860 EVO, MSI RTX 2060 SUPER GAMING X, Corsair iCUE 465X RGB ATX Mid-Tower case, Corsair RMx (2018) 750W 80+ Gold PSU, Corsair LL120 RGB fans (3-Pack), Corsair ML140 RGB fans (2-Pack). CPU Idle Temp - 40°C, CPU Load Temp - 62°C, GPU Idle Temp - 37°C, GPU Load Temp - 71°C BUILD NOTES - The iCUE 465X RGB case was tricky to build in, for a few reasons. The bigger CPU cooler and the top case fans being really close to each other, made mounting the cpu cooler fans a little interesting. Ultimately had to make sure the PWM splitter was installed and set up first. The ML140 RGB fans for the CPU cooler were next to have their fan clips set up and cables routed above the motherboard. Finally the top case fans had their cables routed above the motherboard. Case fans were then installed first, and then the cpu cooler fans. BUILD DESCRIPTION - This is a personal build upgrade, and I use my computer for gaming, streaming, video editing, and content creation. I originally had the idea for this upgrade, after upgrading a relatives build last year. I also noticed that with the 2700X & 2.5” SATA SSDs in my previous personal build, I wasn’t getting the desired performance that I was looking for (both in gaming and video editing/rendering). I did some research on the new CPU’s, and looked at performance and everything. With pricing and availability what it is, I thought that it was a great time to get a 3900X, for a solid upgrade even in 2021. The RAM, storage (2.5" SSDs), GPU, and PSU were brought over from the previous build, with everything else being new from Amazon & MicroCenter. So far with this build, I’ve noticed much smoother and faster boot and shutdown times as well, thanks to the new CPU and the Samsung M.2 NVME SSD. The CPU fans are the ML140 RGB fans, and I have those connected to a sleeved PWM splitter that I picked up from MicroCenter. The RGB part is controlled by the included Lighting Node Pro and RGB HUB. The case fans are all connected to the Commander Pro and another Lighting Node Pro. Mounting and connecting all of the case fans was easy, but the cable management was a pain in the butt. If you mount these devices at the back of your case, cable management won’t be too much of a problem. I have the Commander Pro and Lighting Node Pro, for the case fans, mounted underneath the PSU shroud, so cable management was a little tricky there. Also, the front CPU cooler fan was re-adjusted after the photos were taken, as I noticed it was a bit crooked. In gaming, the CPU stays around the same as the usual load temps that I get with multitasking and video editing. I may repaste the graphics card however, as the usual load temps average around 58°C outside of gaming, and go up to 71°C in gaming. All temps listed are with D.O.C.P. (XMP) enabled, and PBO disabled. BTW I do have the Noctua NA-HC5 in the pictures, but I ended up not using it. Both didn’t see an ultimate need for it, and it would’ve also increased the Noctua cooler’s height to 172mm, which was not applicable to my case.

About 2 weeks ago when I was mining some crypto I noticed that my fans didn't spin at 100%, which caused my card to thermal throttle. It was annoying as I was afraid it would also do that while playing games. It didn't care about my Afterburner settings, which still showed as if the fans were running in the right speed, but if they were, I wouldn't thermal throttle. HWInfo showed 0 RPM even though some fan was clearly spinning there and the CPU fan wasn't that audible. Just now I could open my PC (I was quite busy) and I found out that the left fan doesn't spin at all, because of that the right one blasts at full speed even when I don't do anything on the computer. It's especially annoying because of the noise. I could shut that right fan off only when uninstalling the GPU, but I couldn't work like that. Leaving the case open, prying the fan to spin, removing all other software that could automatically change the fan speed, reinstalling GPU drivers - none of that worked. Everything's connected properly too. The GPU is Inno3D RTX 2060 Super Twin X2 OC.

Hey everyone, I've been wanting to sell (not for scalped price!) my RTX 2060 Super for a while now and I was wondering what the GPU selling experience is like. I advertised the GPU on my social media and unfortunately didn't see much interest, and no one I directly know is looking to buy. I've seen some people mention negative incidents on eBay where customers will abuse buyer protection, so I'm a bit hesitant, but I want to hear more experiences. Where would you suggest safely selling a GPU/tips to make sure I don't get scammed? I'm also looking to sell a CPU (Ryzen 9 3900XT), so any advice on that would be appreciated too.

Soooo uhm..., yesterday, I discovered my pc is behaving strangely after I connected my Corsair Aio per USB to my motherboard. Ever since, my CPU clock is just going up and down - especially in CS:GO when it just drops to 0,79 GHz - and my GPU temps just being higher as usual. The day before yesterday there weren't ANY problems whatsoever: No weird clock drops and no unusually high GPU temps. For example: under no load (like 5-10%) on desktop with Wallpaper Engine on, I usually had between 35-45°C GPU. Now even without Wallpaper Engine on, my GPU is between 50-60°C hot. Another example: When I play Minecraft with shaders OFF, I reached about 71°C peak. I usually have that temps with shaders on. Also my CPU isn't behaving normal: Before yesterday, it clocked completely normal (i7-9700K - 3.6 GHZ - 4.sth GHz). Then I have changed my power options to "High Performance" (not Ultimate) - but eventhough my CPU clocked higher than normal after that there were no issues whatsoever. But THEN yesterday, I decided to connect my Corsair H115i RGB PRO XT Aio via that USB cable to my motherboard to make it adressable in iCUE. After I did tha, I just updated everything in iCUE, Armoury Crate and Dragon Center, because there were some updates avalible. I thought everything was normal - UNTILL I started playing CS:GO. Then the problems started to occur. I immediately started to make an antivirus scan, but there wasn't anything that seemed to be harmful ans the reason for that behaviour. (Extra note: As I'm writing and not having any programs opened except for Opera GX and Task-Manager my GPU is at 60-61°C at really 0%) i7-9700K, MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super Gaming X, Corsair H115i RGB PRO XT, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming (The PC isn't even 4 months old) PLEASE HELP I AM TERRIFIED HAHAHA

Hi, so I was wondering if an RTX 2060 super would be a good pairing with a Ryzen 5 2600 for 1080p 144Hz. (I live in NZ and the 2600 is over $100NZD cheaper than the 3600. The 2060 Super is only $50NZD more than the 2060). Thanks in advance!

I have a rtx 2060 super, should I buy a 1080p monitor or 1440p. I play games like rainbow six siege, minecraft rtx, and Forza Horizon 4 on ultra settings. Im worried that the rtx 2060 super wont have enough juice to power a 1440p monitor.

I have been having a problem where my computer keeps crashing when playing games, and sometimes in the desktop since I got my rtx 2060 super. I've tried everything to fix it: 1. Buying a new psu 2. Trying new ram configuration 3. Unplugging everything unessential 4. Stopped using my riser cable, which I need for my case configuration 5. Reinstalling drivers and windows 6. Replacing gous thermal paste and pads When I ran my system with a gtx 960 instead, it ran no problem. My system also never used to crash with my gpu I had before this one, gtx 780 ti. I'm really running out of solutions. If anyone has any other ideas, please tell me. I also bought it used on ebay, so there's that aspect too. Recently I got a used RTX 2060 Super. I've been having an issue where when playing a game (or getting off of a game in the case of metro exodus) My screen turns black and my gpu fans get loud. I Have to turn my pc off to fix it. The gpus dye isn't getting too hot, since It maxes out around 75c and the max temp before a shut down is 85c. I also replaced the termal paste after the first time. I'm thinking the memory may be getting too hot because the thermal pads on the memory don't cover them entirely. I haven't measured the memory's temps though, so I'm not exactly sure.

Hello, first post in a long while. I am planning an upgrade for my rig (Since we all need to work from home) and the internet is pretty confusing on this. (My current build was done by a friend, I don't really know much) Here's the setup: Processor: AMD FX-8350 (not overclocked) Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 plus GPU: ASUS STRIX GTX 950 2gb RAM: 1x 8 gb ddr3 1866 mhz Power Supply: InterTech Energon 650 Watts Hard Drive: 1tb WD blue 7.2k rpm Over the next couple of months I am planning a few upgrades. The first one, that I want to buy now is a new video card, namely an MSI RTX 2060 super gaming x. I've been told that the power supply is bad and I need to replace it with something decent. I will also upgrade to (most probably) a ryzen 7 3800x, 16 gb ram, and and PCIe SSD (m.2) Could anyone point me to a good (modular, if possible) power supply for this? A power supply calculator online tells me I need a 426 watt power supply for my current setup and a 474 watt power supply for my fully upgraded rig. Both of these values seem really low to me so I don't really trust it. Since I'm both gaming and working from home the pc will run at least 8 hours a day.

I've read some articles about Seasonic Focus Plus having problems with shutting down for some GPUs. I mostly refer to : https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1093286-why-you-shouldnt-buy-a-seasonic-focus-plus-goldplatinum/ I'm currently trying to build Ryzen 7 3700x with RTX2060 Super. I'm going for 650W 80+Gold model. Will I have a problem with this PSU? Corsair TX650M is not available. Good morning everyone! This is my first post on this forum, and I hope I can get some help! I have an RTX 2060 Super that I purchased a few months ago, and this problem has cropped up consistently since I have owned it. I will start up games like Hitman 2, GTA V, and recently Jedi Fallen Order, and will be greeted with choppy/blurry graphics while moving. The problem in Grand Theft Auto is so apparent because it looks like I'm driving in a blurry ocean. I have posted a video link below showing the problem in Jedi Fallen Order, which I think is still just as apparent as in GTA V. The weird aspect of this problem is that it goes away upon restarting my computer. I have tried looking up this issue, but I can not seem to find a topic that matches my problem. I think that part of the reason why I can not find anything is not having the right language to describe the problem. Thank you all for the help! Link to Video

So I've recently upgraded from a GTX 1070 to an RTX 2060 SUPER. Everything is great, I'm even hitting 2010mhz boost clocks in demanding games. My only issue is when I play CSGO, my 2060S doesn't boost up AT ALL from its idle clock speed of 1470mhz. I play on low settings (for competitive reasons), 1280x1024 with everything on low except for effects and shadow details. But this wasn't an issue for my 1070. My 1070 would boost itself and provide me with 300-600 fps. I'm assuming that my 2060S doesn't deem CSGO demanding enough to boost its clock speed up from its idle clock speed? It's odd because the first 10 minutes of playing CSGO with the 2060S at my settings provided me 500-800 fps (overkill for most, but that sweet frametime and minimum input lag is noticeable for me), but soon after the 2060S clocked itself back down to idle the clock speed, providing 250-300 fps, and won't budge after client and computer reboots).I have the latest chipset, bios, and drivers installed. I'm using AMD Ryzen Balanced power mode and I've set the power management in Nvidia Control Panel to "Prefer Maximum Performance". Is there a work around to force my 2060S to boost its clock speed when playing, or do I need to increase my video settings in CSGO to force my 2060S to boost?Build Specs:https://pcpartpicker.com/user/phyLo/saved/Mw9whM

Hey All, Just have a question about mid-range GPUs. I’m looking to buy a card that should not have to be upgraded for 3-5 years and can game at 4K at Ultra at 30-60fps. My options are: RTX 2060 (€410/$460) RTX 2060 Super (€460/$515) RTX 2070 (€540/$610) RX 5700 (€350/$400) RX 5700 XT (€440/$495) My question is wether the RTX 2070 is worth a $125 jump up in price or would you recommend to go for the 2060 Super or 5700 XT. Thanks, Anoraked

I'm really confused. So I have built my rig ( Ryzen 7 2700X, 16GB Corsair Ram, ASUS Strix X-470 gaming f Mobo, 550 watt gold certified Corsair PSU ) but was waiting for the GPU to arrive so I put an old card in (a Gtx 1050ti) and it was running pretty well ( I only have 2 1080p 60hz monitors so performance was great ) except for some bottle necking. Anyway the new card arrives ( Gigabyte RTX 2060 super gaming OC 8G ) and it works for say a few weeks, then I start getting problems. It keeps crashing often with the "blue screen" and an error code. This gets more frequent to the point now where it will only work for about 2 mins before stopping. Almost every error code is one saying it's a driver is sure so I checked all my drivers and updated everything. Still crashing. I reseated the graphics card and checked all the wiring. Next I thought about power so I did a PSU calculater and I was under my 550 W max. I have filled all the power inputs it has ( 8 pin connector ). The worst that happened was the BIOS crashed once which is bad! But nothing worse than that. I just can't figure it out! Anyone else suggest anything I can do to test? I sold that old GPU but still might have a REALLY old one. I'm open to everything. Posted pictures of a few error code screens and the pc. (Drivers on a 1T Internal SSD) , Thanks.

So this happend when I played in the middle of the game. I tried: 1. Rollback, update drivers. 2. Reinstall drivers. 3.Change cable from hdmi 2.0 to DP and different HDMI 4. Different screen 5. Changed from 144hz to 60hz a bit less spikes appeared. 6. Tried turn on vsync. Tried games on my ssd and now I think maybe its graphics card problem or maybe ssd ? SSD is NVME Adata GPU Gygabite RTX 2060 S Soo maybe you know what it is? Maybe someone encountered with these spikes. 20200216_111142.mp4

For the past two weeks i have been looking around at all manner of RTX cards and their performance in games i play and with hardware i run. After much research i have settled on the RTX 2060 Super as my next GPU to upgrade too. knowing the reputation Asus has for taking Nvidia GPU cores to the max with their Strix cards i naturally went looking for a review of their strix version of the 2060 super to no avail. i did some searching online and found very little in the way of any serious review. i am very puzzled as to why such a card has seemingly gone under the radar of tech reviewers. the only real info i was able to get was from what i saw in Gamers Nexus's video on the 2070 super & 2060 super joint review. The 2060 super should be a great lower cost option for 2070 like performance with a small overclock. so this is where you all come in, if you have a 2060 Super from Asus or not i want to know your experience and overclocks! i want to get the best possible idea of how the card performs and any problems to expect. thank you for reading and i look forward to learning more about this seemingly under appreciated card.
