Hello, My friend got his issue that he can’t play GTA or RDR for that matter, because apparently his epic games acc is linked to a different social club acc. It worked one year ago – we haven’t played since. The complete error message is: “this epic games account is already linked to a different social club account. Please log in with that social club account instead”. When he then tries to look in again with his social club, it says: log in failed. Log in with email address (which isn’t his email). But if he logs in online to social club, his email address works just fine. Launching GTA straight from the Rockstar Games Launcher isn’t possible either, because he then gets redirected to epic games and then onwards to the same error message. Have any of you encountered that problem and got a solution? I have found some reddit posts, but nothing worked so far. (Apparently the issue got more frequent in the past days) Thanks for any help -

Right now on humble bundle GTA V is on sale for $15 USD. I want to get the game but I also want to use mods on it. Does the Rockstar launcher work with mods? Also, I heard that Rockstar will automatically update games. Is there any way to manually revert to an older game version to not break mods? Thank you for the help.

I just recently switched my OS from Windows to Ubuntu, but I found out both Epic Games and Rockstar Games Launcher don't have a Linux client. While most games I bought are on Steam, my GTAV was in the Epic Games library, and I don't want to waste money to buy one more copy. I heard that some people did successfully use Epic Games on Linux, so please tell me how to. thx. -
So I've been getting frame drops pretty constantly in both of rockstar's newest games on my high-end PC every 5-10 seconds, about a frame or 2 drops from 60 fps to 20-30. Specs: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Intel Core i9 @ 4.10GHz 16.0 GB 2133 DDR4 G.SKILL MSI MAG Z590 TORPEDO (MS-7D08) (U3E1) 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (EVGA) 931GB Samsung SSD 870 EVO 1TB (SATA (SSD)) 232GB Samsung SSD 750 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD)) 2794GB WL3000GSA6454 (SATA ) NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM) The games are installed on the SSD 870 EVO 1TB What I've tried so far (NONE HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE) Capping my fps and/or capping my monitor's Hz Defragging all of my storage devices Scanning for malware and viruses Resetting the clock speeds on my CPU Turning on and off Vsync both in the NVIDIA control panel and in-game Lowering and turning up the settings in-game and in GeForce Resetting my virtual memory Going through task manager and eliminating tasks Clearing space on my SSD in order to eliminate bottlenecks Checking task manager to see if my ram, cpu, or gpu was capped out at 100% (none are) Switching from DX11 to DX10 Repairing corrupted windows files Reinstalling both games Disabling fullscreen optimization My GPU is not overclocked and never has been, this has been an issue when I had a gtx 1070 as well. When I play GTA 5 the ram usually caps out at around 8gb despite having 16gb of ram, that might be the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, here's a youtube video of my stutter

I just installed RDR2 and I have HORRIBLE frame stutters and hitching. It's made the game unplayable. (I don't think it's hardware limitations. Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB RAM, RTX 2080Ti, NVME storage.) I saw a fix for it by changing some starting parameters by going into the R* launcher settings tab and going into the start settings and changing a line, but I cannot find it. Appreciate any tips!

A few days ago I decided I'd want to get back into GTA V with some friends, so I decided to re-download it. The problem here is that the download speed from the Rockstar social club (as I don't have it on Steam) is just depressingly slow. I at first just decided to let it do its thing for a while, getting it to around 20GB. Afterwards though, it has slowed down to crawl with average speeds of 50-200KB/sec. Anybody know how to fix this? I have a gigabit internet connection, and things like steam games can reach 60MB/sec so I know for sure my connection isn't the problem. Thanks in advance!

Red dead redemption 2 now has an official trailer. Rockstar games posted a teaser earlier this week, and now, owners of ps4 and xbone can look forward to a sequel. "Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in fall 2017 on PS4 and Xbox One" How long do you think it'll be till there is a proper PC port, and if so, would you play it on PC or console, if at all?

This has to be one of the more humorous articles that I've read today... The Psychic Network has decided that the Auntie Poulet character from GTA: Vice City (released in 2002) is a copyright infringement on the Miss Cleo persona that they created and therefore Rockstar owes them money. https://www.techspot.com/news/70419-rockstar-sued-psychic-network-over-gta-vice-city.html So this is a very frivolous lawsuit, but who knows, maybe the Psychic Network received some message or information that they would win this... I however, would not place bets on this as I'm fairly sure there is a statute of limitations on copyright suits that has long since expired.

When I play GTA V, I always get fps drops when driving, especially when driving through the city. I have a dell inspiron laptop with an i5 7300hq at 2.5 Ghz and a 1050 ti with 8 gigs of ddr4 ram Running the game on high except for tessellation, textures, reflection quality, water quality, and particles quality, those are set to very high. Also I have population density and variety at 80 percent. Any suggestions? nvidia control panel tweaks? (already set the control panel to max performance) Setting changes? please let me know

So, about 6 months ago I bought GTA V off CD-Keys and activated it on the Rockstar website. Just a week or 2 ago I decided to do a fresh install of windows and when I went to download GTA V again, the download like was gone on Rockstar. When I looked it up I found an article on Rockstar's website saying that I can redownload it because its attached to my Social Club but I have had no luck finding a download link. Is there anyway that I can redownload GTA V? Any replies are appreciated..

Hi guys I just installed the new rockstar launcher a few days ago because apparently you have to. Now it says I have to install GTA 5 eventhough I already have it installed on my PC. Do I really have to delete it and wait like 4 days for it to download 85GB again? Or can I direct the launcher to my install folder somehow? Thanks for your help

Was rewatching my game play I've recorded and noticed a ped holding a phone, upon closer look, I noticed that phone has a notch. GTA V came out in September 17, 2013. Apple iPhone X came out in November 3, 2017, that's 4 years after Rockstar's prediction.

Hi guys, I have had gta 5 installed on a network drive for over a year now and every once in a while it just decides it doesn't want to work anymore. My "server" is just a linux pc with a samba server and 2 large drives in it. Even when I launch gta from inside the installation folder and the RGL launches, it does nothing. When I click install in RGL and choose the network drive it says ok and then shows an error and I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hey all, For some reason, over the past two week I've been getting this "Saving Failed" message saving that I'm unable to connect to Rockstar servers. I'm logging in just fine and character progression is maintained; however, I'm unable to find buyers for the vehicle export missions. Coincidentally, this happened literally the day after I finally managed to buy a vehicle warehouse, so I've been unable to make money from this, even though I can source vehicles just fine and my collection is retaind every time I log in. I've tried reinstalling the game, logging into to social club again, changing the NAT settings on my router -- pretty much everything shy of reinstalling Windows! Has anyone else encountered an issue like this? Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this, or do I just need to wait for Rockstar to get their shit together? Interestingly, when I play in a party, I'm the only one with this issue.

Hello, If I connect a Ps4 controller to my Steam Link using Bluetooth or USB and launch gtav, the game loads fine but in game, online and story mode it will glitch. It looks like its switching viewing angles very fast. If I press 'options' on the controller and open settings, I see the mouse moving around very fast. As soon as I unplug the controller it works just fine. Would anyone know a solution? Thanks

So I have played the game for 174 hrs online and offline no problem and today it asks for an activation(it was activated when i got it on steam...). click the box and guess what... a fucking error can't get around it. It shouldn't be asking for this since I did this when I got the bloody game and its linked to my social club. FFS anyone got a fix?

rockstar has seriously some shitty support system,i want to get to contact them so they can reply. But i live in singapore... fkkkkk i did 2 heists,took 5 hours total, and i did not get any money at all because it failed to save. rockstar wont do jack shit to reply, my friend randomly lost a zentorno in a glitch and he did not get it back after 1 month, any ideas we can contact them so they wont ignore us for once... fuck my life man,5 hours, gamers know how much shit i had to go thru in heists...

Well as part of the GTA V Steam notifications, I just found out there are some new screenshots. I am really anticipating this game and if it ends up looking as good as these screenshots and works (unlike GTA IV at launch) then I don't care about the delay, but there are people out there who don't care anymore. The main hype about this trailer that Rockstar is emphasizing is that the game is in full 60fps. Then there is some music and rendered footage or in-game footage of the game, and it looks glorious. I seriously can not wait for the game to drop on the 14th if it looks this good. All I can say is, Rockstar, I don't care how many times the game has been delayed. Your thoughts, please leave them down below. EDIT: Just found someone who has uploaded the trailer which hasn't been taken down yet. UPDATE! IGN were kind enough to show the new trailer for GTA V Heists shot entirely on PC. https://youtu.be/ozGsQCN5jEs I got to say, the new heists trailer looks amazing. As some one who owns GTA V on Xbox 360, I personally haven't played any heist missions yet, so the mission looks awesome along with the graphics. After months of delays, game developer Rockstar has decided to cancel the PC version of GTA V amid difficulties with 4K scaling and the inability to unlock the game's framerate to a value beyond 30FPS. They have also had much difficulty in obtaining high-res textures which were slated to replace the older textures in the console versions of this game. Anyone who has bought the game on Steam is not eligible for a refund as the application does not have that feature. However, people that bought the game directly from Rockstar's website are entitled to a refund.
