Steam 2023-09-03 00-26-04.mp4 Attached is a video of me trying to open rocket league. I have verified the files and reinstalled it. I'm not sure what else to try.

I have a high end PC running a 6900XT, Ryzen 9 5900X and 64gb of ram, playing on a 165hz 1440p display. I can NOT get RL to stop dropping frames or smooth out the frame timing. I've reinstalled the game, swapped back to the steam version, dropped all my settings to low, enabled/disabled v-sync, enabled/disabled AMD free sync. I've enabled FPS limiters and disabled it. I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING but I can't get the game to smooth out. Any help would be awesome.

After not playing for a while (a month or so) I wanted to play some Rocket League again. Game booted up fine and I could play one game without issues, but when I wanted to go into the second round, my game crashed. I launched the game again and the same behaviour happened a couple of times, every time I could play one round but if I wanted to play the second round the game crashed. I gave up after a while and quit for the day. When I tried to launch the game today, it wouldn't even boot up, it always crashes before showing any screen. I then tired a couple of fixes I found online: Deleting chache folder Renaming the save file folder in documents/MyGames/Rocket League Updating drivers Reinstalling the game on Steam Renaming the folder actually worked so far as I could at least boot up the game again. It even let me go into training but as soon as I went into an online lobby I actually got a blue screen! I then uninstalled the game on Steam and tried installing it on Epic. That didn't change anything though, the game still crashes on launch. My PC specs are the following: Windows 11 Intel I7-13700KF Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX Asus Tuf gaming RTX 3080 32GB Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 5200MHz I don't know if it is related but when I try to play DMZ in Call of Duty it also crahes regularly. I don't have any issues in other games though. Let me know if there is anything else I can try. Thanks in advance!

i was wondering if i can run rocket league with onboard graphics of g41 motherboard from zebronics and a core2duo e7500 2.9ghz an 4gb ddr3 ram? the fps doesn't matter, i'll decrease the resolution to the lowest one....i just wanna know if it can "run" even if the fps is 2 or 3.

TLDR at the bottom I’ll spare you most of the details. Reddit has been very little to zero help. Google is sparse but there is enough info there to get me started. There is nothing all in one place. I play rocket league and there is a “myth” about something called “heavy car bug”. It’s basically just describing input lag. It’s 100% real and I can pretty much reproduce it if I want. There is a lot to speak about but as I said, I’ll spare you details. There is a YT channel by a Reddit user called halfwaydead. He is a really great hardworking guy who has made it his mission to delved into the science of the game. He recently put out a video related to controllers and which ones have the lowest input lag etc. he de-listed the video after a week though because there were some anomalies with the DS4 controller that he couldn’t figure out. He then did some of the tests on his friends PC, and the testing was fine. They figured out that certain USB ports on Ryzen motherboards go straight to the CPU, but other ones are routed through some mobo chipset controller. And it adds lag and problems. MSI actually showed up in his comments section and acknowledged it and said they are working on it. Legends for doing so. I have an ASRock X470 board and cannot find out what ports of mine might be messed up like his. But, my controller actually feels good where I have it now so I’m not messing with it. all this has lead me to random tech sites, and Reddit. Reading things about HPET, system timers, Bus sharing, latencymon, Nvidia driver conflicts blah blah blah. It’sa list as long as.... you know. The main thing I’ve seen is this. Ryzen CPUs handle USB differently than Intel CPUs? And that Ryzen CPU mixed with Nvidia GPU is a bad combination? I don’t know enough about computers to know if that’s correct, it’s just what I’ve seen. It’s why I’m here. Apparently some music producers are aware of Ryzen latency problems? Basically I get inconsistent performance from the game. Some days IT FEELS SO DAMN GOOD!!!!! Teammates compliment me, want to party up with me, we go on big win streaks, I win the ball all the time and score outlandish angle shots etc. Other days it’s like my car has chains on it. Slow, can’t move fluid, teammates hate me etc. there is a controller overclock program some of us use, I’m sure you guys know about it. Well sometimes my controller will accept the OC perfectly fine, but other says it won’t. Some USB ports work one day, but then they won’t work the next day. there is a huge ghost in my machine and no one believes me, very few. They all just say “Get gud”. I have 2k+ hours in the game. I know what it feels like between good and bad boot ups. On bad boots, I cannot win. Using the same strategies I would use on winning days. I just can’t get to the ball fast enough, can’t turn tight enough, can’t kill the opponent when I normally would etc. Ive tried the controller WITHOUT Ds4 windows software and it’s dog water. DS4 windows makes everything a lot better. But there’s still inconsistencies somewhere. Ive tried so many things I won’t list more. Tons of stuff. I just haven’t played on an Intel CPU lmao. Also have not tried Xbox controller. Only DS4. Some one said “I think Microsoft sends out updates that fuck up any non Xbox controllers from time to time!” Lol, that’s a bit too far to me. But I get their feelings. TLDR: Does Ryzen really have an input lag/USB/Nvidia/Ds4 problem ?

Hey, thanks for taking the time to read my thread. My friend and I have been plagued with connection issues in Rocket League recently. We both live in different states in the US. We both pay for fast internet. We both have tried playing with lots of people on our internet and alone. I have tried going to different locations entirely with good internet at both the other places as well. We both have PC's that lie well over the recommended specs for RL. We both have gone through every solution listed on the Rocket League website (https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054169594-Connection-Troubleshooting-on-PC) including port forwarding in my case. The lag manifests completely differently for both of us. My lag: I get a complete freeze of my game for a few seconds before coming back in a completely different location with my ping having skyrocketed. This happens once every few games. My other lag is an inconsistent latency between my machine and the server. Boost pickups are slow and ball touches are jittery, but my ping remains stable at 40-60 depending on the server. My friend's lag: He gets random ping spikes well into the hundreds for a minute or so almost every single game. These issues are game-breaking for us. We are currently semi professional players hoping to break into the scene in a few short months. This lag is stunting our growth significantly so we need to put a lid on it stat. Any suggestions are appreciated. I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has. I am generally pretty tech savvy. I fix issues like this for myself and my friends on a regular basis but this one has me stumped.

Hello everyone, I've been having a really really annoying issue lately where RL reboots my whole PC everytime I play the game, I can play a ranked game or two and then poof it reboots without any error message. Here's what I've done so far : - Reseated the RAM - Reseated and clean uninstalled GPU with DDU then reinstalled everything - Cleared the game cache - Reinstalled the game on same drive AND on different drive - Verified integrity of game files on Steam - Cancelled any static build-up in the PC by pressing the power button while everything un-plugged. - Used DISM and SFC to no effect - Clean Uninstalled any third party software (Corsair iCUE, Bakkesmod (a mod for rocket league)) I contacted support but after two weeks of back and forth they were of no help whatsoever. I've done all my update except for one AMD Graphics update in Windows Update which locks the software making it unusable. (I did the update before and it didn't help my problem either ) I'm starting to think that they're is a problem with my PSU but my 650W 80+ Bronze Seasonic PSU should easily do the trick for a R3 3100 + 5500XT, and other games have no issue (Apex Legends --> more demanding) other than one crash after sleep in Portal 1. Hi, first post here. I'm at a loss quite honestly, I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a few days now and can't seem to remedy the issue. Problem: When loading into games, notably Halo: MCC and Rocket League, I have been experiencing incredibly awful stuttering at the very beginning of the matches (think first 5-10 seconds or so). After this period of time, the games overall run pretty smooth. The thing is, they haven't always played this way for me. I've only noticed it within the last week or so. I've tried messing with my OC profile, resetting to defaults, updating drivers, using CCleaner to clean system files and registry, and other solutions and have not come up with anything. If you have any idea what the cause of this could be I would greatly appreciate it. Some might think it's a result of the games but as I said, they didn't use to run this way and now I have two notable cases of the issue in different games. Specs are as follows: Intel Core i5 8600K @ 3.60GHz, also using Intel Boost from the BIOS so it actually sits around 4.1 GHz. Had it stable around 4.5 beforehand using CPU Ratio. MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3000MHz RAM (2x8 GB), XMP enabled. ASUS Strix GTX 1080 8GB Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2 NVME SSD Seagate Barracuda 4 TB HDD (x7) USB 3.0 Expansion Card Cooler Master V550 PSU The only pieces I have added to my system recently are the 4TB Barracuda HDD and the USB Expansion Card if that matters.

Hi, I am having some bad performance issues with rocket league. I am running on Windows 11 (Fully updated), all drivers are up to date (motherboard flashed to the latest BIOS). Specs: Wired Xbox One Controller i3 9100f 16Gb ddr4 3200mhz corsair lpx vengence RAM WD Blue SN550 1Tb Seagate Barracuda 1Tb XFX Rx 570 Corsair CX550M MSI B365M PRO-VH Intel stock CPU Cooler 2 fans (1 exhaust, 1 intake) 144hz monitor Some of the problems I'm facing are frame stuttering/skipping (on any fps cap, I also don't have a freesync compatible monitor). Menus are jumpy and not smooth (freeze for a second or two). When joining a game or on kickoffs, I will be on high ping for about 30 seconds. Randomly on any given day/time, I will experience input delay and a sluggish feeling (this is commonly dubbed the heavy car bug, but it isn't that.) The heavy car bug can be overcome by beating the placebo. For some weird reason restarting my pc helps the issue - but it will arise again (at a random time.) After I lag in game the performance drops drastically, my game doesn’t feel smooth with really bad input delay. I have tried turning off all display overlays (discord, game bar, Spotify, overlay, any others.) I have installed the epic games version - no luck there. If I run the game without discord, Spotify, bakkesmod, it runs okay, with fewer performance issues. But it's not that the CPU over throttles or high temps because I have manually troubleshooted all of this. This problem has been around for 8 months now, and it has got to the point where I have no motivation to play the game. I was pushing for SSL in 1s and 2s, but now there seems like there's no point. I am only going to be screwed over by performance issues. However, the part that puzzles me is that rocket league is the only game where I have ever had any problems. This ranges from Xbox days (ping issues) and currently on a pc that can and should run rocket league effortlessly. This is where I start to believe I am suffering from one of the worst placebos ever. Why is it only rocket league? Is it my Xbox controller, as that is the only thing that technically differentiates it from any other game? I am lost. For months I have tried to fix the issues. I am considering upgrading my computer but don't want to waste money pointlessly. My PC can perfectly run games like Fortnite, GTA, valornat, F1, Minecraft. It also seems like all of my friends with pre-builts can run their games without any issues. The more and more I search, I find that people who built their computers have similar issues to this. I could also list plenty of other problems I face with rocket league performance, but I genuinely have lost count. Someone, please help me. I am seriously considering cashing out £1000+ on upgrades or a sh\*tty pre-built.

I've been driving myself mad trying to fix FPS limitations and stuttering in Rocket League for the last week. Very rarely this issue seems to vanish on it's own, only to be back the next day. For context, I have an i7 9700k, an EVGA 3090 XC3 Ultra, and 16GB CL14 3200Mhz memory, and a 4k 120hz g-sync monitor. I'm pretty sure even if both my CPU and GPU throttled to half their clocks, I should still be seeing more FPS than I am (and changing resolution would actually make a difference) No matter what in-game graphical settings I change, including my resolution, the in game FPS graphs show it hovering loosely around 120fps, with a fair amount of stuttering and variance. This usually wouldn't be an issue, but it comes with a lot of perceptible in-game stuttering that's starting to drive me nuts, especially because I know my system can easily push over 240fps in this game. I'm leaving the in-game FPS cap set at 240, but changing that doesn't change anything either (unless I set it to <120fps, in which case it behaves as expected) If I switch from Borderless to Fullscreen, the stuttering is decreased slightly, but the game still locks itself around 120fps If I move my mouse on the screen, FPS absolutely tanks (as shown in one of the screenshots) If I have RL running in the background, whether in Fullscreen or Borderless mode, FPS quickly jumps up to the cap, but focusing on the window causes it to drop right back down to 120 (shown in the other screenshot) I've messed around with the TASystemSettings.ini file. Setting perframesleep and perframeyeild to False nets an increase of about 40ish FPS, but at the cost of much more massive swings in FPS. I'm not even sure this means anything, because the Geforce Experience FPS HUD counter shows a solid 120, even though I know that can count higher than my refresh rate I've looked through both the EVGA Precision X1 utility, as well as the Nvidia Control Panel, to verify that there are no limits on FPS, and the only thing I found that could possibly be limiting was "Preferred Refresh Rate (monitor name)" which was set to highest available. I went into the individual program settings, and set Rocket Leagues "Preferred Refresh Rate (monitor name)" to "Application Controlled", but that still didn't make a difference on max frame rates This behaviour also shows itself in other games (I tested Civilization Beyond Earth, as well as Borderlands 3 with minimum graphics settings), but stuttering is almost a non-issue in those games when I play them Honestly, if it wasn't for the stuttering, I wouldn't even be bothering with all of this trouble, but knowing that my system is capable of a smooth >240fps and instead gives me this is frustrating to figure out. I feel like this is a combination of factors. The FPS limitation seems to be something system related, since other games demonstrate an identical FPS limit, but there also seems to be something within Rocket League causing its own instability/limitations, and I can't figure it out

Hello there. I've been troubleshooting this for a few days but not coming up with any solutions... So I decided to just post here to see if anyone helpful can take a look or something.. I've got an Intel i9-9900K, RTX 2080 Super, 64GB of RAM, Corsair RM 850 psu, ROG Maximus Hero XI, and 2 m.2 SSD's. And all of my games have been running great until recently (about a week or two total). When I play either Rocket League or Overwatch, they both run over 200fps when starting. But after playing it for a few minutes, they dip down. (which they never used to) RL goes from over 200+ to 60-110fps and OW goes from 200+ to 40-80fps I have a buddy right next to me that has a 2070 Super and doesnt get any of these issues of course lol I tried a bunch of other games like F1 2020, KSP, Destiny 2, and they all run fine and don't show the same behavior. I tried updating all drivers, uninstall/reinstall nvidia driver, updated BIOS, reseated and dusted GPU, dusted my rad on my CPU, uninstalled all files/reinstalled games, windows updates, closed program after program while game is running to see if it gets better, and probably more that I cant remember I tried.. Update: When first starting RL for about 5 minutes, GPU is around 50-55c and use is around 80-95% (was at over 200fps) But after a few minutes, the fps drops and I see the GPU is around 50-55c and use is around 45-60% (dropped fps to 40-80) One weird thing I do notice is that my second monitor goes to a weird color/filter of blue/purple when I run those games. just booted up a bunch of other games (F1, fall guys, GTA) and they don't make my other monitor change color a bit. Only RL and OW does... hmm.... Any thoughts? I'm overwhelmed at this point... Thanks a ton yall. Budget (including currency): $2,500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing: Premiere Pro, After Effects - Gaming: Rocket League, Call of Duty, OBS, Elgato Other details: Upgrading from a 2017 Macbook Pro and the OG PS4 so anything is a step up for me lol. I edit 4k video content and create graphics and graphic animations for my job. I'd love to bring my gaming over to PC and play more games than I have on my PS4. I'm interested in buying in the next several months but there is no hard date. I don't have a keyboard or mouse. I currently have a HP Pavilion 32 QHD monitor that I use mainly for the sake of screen real-estate so I'm not opposed to selling this and getting something that would work better for gaming because it only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.

hi i got a mid range pc with these specs: Processor: Intel Core i7 8700 @ 3.20GHz Coffee Lake 14nm Technology Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Motherboard: PRIME Z390-A 16GB ram at 2666mhz ISSUE: so I played RL for a long time and for some reason after deleting my operating system and reinstalling it wont open and let me play I have tried a lot of stuff to fix this using the knowledge I have but this is beyond me I might overlooked something but idk truly all I do know is that its starting okay I see it go up on the task manger below the epic launcher and pop it closes and say NOTHING I tried to: 1) verify game file 2) reinstalling the game 3) reinstalling epic game launcher 4) reinstalling Windows 10 5) I am pretty sure I tried all of what Epic games has on there site ... 6)updating Microsoft c++ (just because I saw it suggested somewhere) 7)updating .NET to the latest 8) turning pc on and off (IT didn't help :-_() 9)tried to open it in rapid but to no result 10) updated GPU CPU drivers 11)tried to look it up on steam wasn't there . 11.1) my friend library share the game and it acted the same as it did with epic games! 12)contacting support - Ongoing (pending for first contact) NOTE: this list is not completed you can help expanding it by suggesting in the comments! ty and have a nice day SOLVED: so i set down and manage to fix it this is now resolve i thank you for your time in any case the issue was this : i made a new installment of windows and it came with one drive apparently some of the game file were located there. i simply deleted the one drive not knowing that was the case then downloaded the game i bet somewhere in the installement the launcher saw the folder with the files and said oh you have this good but these werent the fies but the file's one drive location or something any how i am now deleting it all and then deleting one drive so the game will not have any files not on my pc this has work and made it so i can play the game normally now ty have a grate day!

Hello guys, I've been troubleshooting on Rocket league for the past 2 weeks and I finally isolated the problem at his maximum. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCTqYuIRRMU I've recorded my PC for an afternoon and if you go at 10:30 14:30 20:10 21:15 22:40 23:10 33:00, etc. There's a huge spike drop which is always 12-13 fps. This is driving me crazy for the past weeks. What I know from it: - It's happening ONLY on my main Steam account. It doesn't seem to happen on Epic or another Steam account at all. - It's transferable to other PCs if I play Rocket League with my main account. Those facts precisely say that the issue must come from Steam, on a specific aspect of my Steam account and isn't related to hardware/Windows software at ALL. But it is so niche that I can't even think about which parameter I could try to troubleshoot the problem at this point. I've tried disabling Shadow cache and removing all the Workshops map from my main account and nada. It has something to do with internet connection. When I disconnect ethernet cable, problem seems to not happen. I already tried to disconnect from friend list and removing notification when friend join a game without success. Even if I go to offline mode, w/ or w/o ethernet cable on, it's fixing the stutter. So I believe it would be related to an online feature of Discord... Is there anything you could think related to Steam which is linked to an account in particular that could make those horrible stutters in Rocket League? Very excited to know what you guys think as I'm out of idea. Thank you.

I never had an issue like this ever. The night of the new season (12/6/2022) around 8pm est, when I went to open rocket league, it opened with a windowed border(as seen in the attached image). The same time this happens, I think its odd but I start playing a game. Extremely bad framerate like something Ive never had with this PC. I have a VICTUS HP nvdia geforce rtx intel core i5. I dont know the specs beyond this. What would be the issue? Why is this randomly happening now, the odds that it happened right at the last day of the season? What can I do to solve this? The game is unplayable right now with the frames the way they are, although compared to yesterday, it seems better today. Still bad.

Hi, I have a friend who is on a Mac. I would like to play Rocket league with him by streaming to him from my PC using Parsec. I have a copy of Rocket league installed in my PC and I also own a controller. To play 2 player split-screen in this game it requires that you connect 2 controllers. It doesn't allow this with a single controller and a keyboard. Is there any way we can play using virtual controllers perhaps? I have never configured one and don't know what to look for and also this is the first time I'm trying out Parsec. Your suggestion are greatly appreciated. Thanks

As the title says. I'll be having a triple 1080p monitor setup coming up (just ordered) mainly for productivity and programming. I play rocket league during my short breaks and I'd like to utilize all the 3 monitors for it. Currently using a GTX 750 Ti on a single ASUS VC239H 1080p Monitor and I'm getting 55-70fps so I don't think it'll hold up if I use NVIDIA Surround with a res of 5760x1080 with that card. I only play Rocket League, CSGO and Dota 2 so I don't think I need a high-end card. Would like to at least get 60fps on 5760x1080, will the 1050 Ti be enough? Or do you think I'd probably need a 1060 or 1070 to at least get 60fps?

I have a system with an Intel i7-6700k and want to play rocket league. I don't have a GPU Is it possible to run rocket league with the integrated GPU of the i7.
