Hello everyone! I would like to ask for your help with my PC. I've been searching through the internet for any clues how can I set up my chassi and CPU fans so they are not loud. The problem right now is: they are not quiet and when the CPU reaches a certain temperature, they go crazy and work on full speed and I found 0 solutions how could I work around this problem, since i would like to have my PC generally quiet and right now it's not quiet at all and they start to work super fast and loud during games, which is annoying. My rig is: Motherboard: ASUS TUF Z370 PLUS GAMING II processor: i5-9600k gpu: RTX 3060 16GB of DDR4 2666hz RAM Zalman Z9 Neo Black chassi Noctua fans (2x) Also when I put my rig together, I did it with a "friend", who is more familiar with tech stuff than me, but since some time we are not talking (sadly) so I would like to ask for some advice with overclocking, since I bought these components in order to be able to overclock this rig (CPU). I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help they can give me!

Hello, I am a huge Minecrafter, basically I play everything as long as it's in Minecraft, from Murder Mystery to Bedwars, and I am also a speedrunner, which involves running several instances of the game. Recently, I upgraded my system to the Ryzen 9 5950X, as most top Minecraft speedrunners use either the 5900X or the 5950X. The speedrunning experience isn't bad at all, but when I play 1.8 for games like Bedwars, the performance is unsteady and honestly quite bad. It's very playable but I'd expect more out of such a beefy CPU. I noticed the core Minecraft was running on wasn't running at its full potential. The core clock is often pretty low and unstable. So basically I'd like to fix that by forcing that core to run at full speed, over 4.5GHz, constantly. But I have no idea how to do that, I tried to do an all core manual overclock in Ryzen master and in my BIOS, both of which were unstable above 4 GHz. Here are my PC specs: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2 (extremely beefy VRMs) AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 4x8GB 3000MHz G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 Asus Dual GeForce RTX 2060S 8GB As a cooler I'm using the Cooler Master ML360R RGB which I know isn't great, I might end up replacing it with a beefy air cooler such as the Dark Rock Pro 4, I'll see. But for now I just want a stable about 1000/500 (because I use OptiFine) FPS, so I can use motion blur and have it be butter smooth, and I know it's possible with my current configuration, it's not like my rig lacks power! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Peoples - I am turning over to you for some guidance. The rig boots normally without the GPU plugged into the PSU. However, when I plug the GPU into the PSU, the rig starts up briefly, everything lights up accordingly and seems to be trying to boot, but then about 3 seconds in the rig resets. I hear a little blip and it continuously tries to boot up with no avail. I noted that on the EZ Debugger LED, the CPU light turns on briefly on start up. About 1 second in, the VGA LED stays lit, then the power cycle process starts over and over. I've tested 6 different 3070s with same result. I've gone through and removed everything and it comes down to each gpu tripping something. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Rig has the following specs: -msi z390-a pro MOBO -i5 9700 -16gb ram - corsair samsung 250 ssd 4 120 mm fans EVGA 1600 Gold+ PSU Asus Geforce rtx 3070 (will eventually connect 6 total)

I've searched for this answer between and I couldn't get an answer, but I was wondering if I could mine with a GTX 3070 on a Dell Alienware X51 R2 Andromeda Intel Desktop Motherboard s1150 PGRP5. Would the mother board bottle neck the GTX 3070 or would it run like normal.

So recently built a rig, everything recognized all good compatible blah blah blah. I had some issues with stuttering at start. I thought it was my components so decided to send back and look for ones that are meant to be compatible and supprt everything i will need. But no same thing, soon after i managed to fiddle round with tweaking the settings and fixed it... THEN AMD released a new version of their software to which i installed. The stuttering came back. So the deciided to roll back drivers and reinstall the software to old version. Stuttering continued. THEN decided to do a full reset and start over hoping it was fixed. Still not. Its been a month since i have has my pc and i cannot even game on it and i have spent alot of money PLEASE HELP!!! i have came from Xbox and so far PC Gaming is not worth the money or effort even though it looks so good :( I have tried re-size bar, XMP settings, Undervolt, Overclock, VRAM OC, FreeSync, FPS Capper you name it. I put together a low-mid range gaming/computing/utility rig, starting from an old-ish hp workstation. So, the config is: 400w PSU (the one that came with the workstation, rated 80+ silver) a xeon x5675 (the workstation came with a xeon w3520, but since i found the x5675 for very cheap, i swapped it out) (16 euros, included shipping) 16 gb of ddr3 1066 ram (was already included in the workstation a gt1030 2gb wich i found a very good deal of. (50 euros) 128 gb ssd+500gb hdd (was already in the pc when i bought it) So, if the the workstation alone cost me 130 euros i spent, in total 196 euros, and i still ended up with one extra cpu that i can always resell on ebay or something. Now, tbh i didn't find a notable difference with a comparable rig built with more recent hardware (that costs more), and those 6c/12t at 3.06Ghz of the xeon, really are unbeatable for that price (yes, the core architecture is older and some modern algorithms are missing but that doesn't, for what i saw, made a real difference), plus the xeon (being a server cpu) has some interesting features that you cannot find on consumer hardware, like advanced power management. Now, the real question is: is it really worth it to pay at least double for newer hardware that performs the same as older hardware at half the price? I don't think so, honestly. I would like to hear some more opinions about that. Also, maybe that could be an interesting topic for an LTT video.

Budget (including currency): Around $8.000 Country: Worldwide Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: GTA V, RDR2, WarZone, CyberPunk 2077, Battlefield V // Blender, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Daz3D Other details: Hi everyone, I´m new here, so I don´t know if I´m posting this in the right place, but I´ll try anyways. I´ve been wanting to upgrade my PC/Workstation for a while now and I´ve been searching all over the internet. There are a lot of companies out there like OriginPC, NZXT or DigitalStorm but none of them do custom watercooled PCs. I don´t build custom PCs neither do I want to learn how to do that. I´m simply looking for a company or an individual who builds custom PCs for clients. Attached, you can find a picture of what I mean by a custom PC rig. So if anybody knows about someone who builds custom PCs like the one from the attached picture - contact info or website would be much appreciated. Thank you

Budget (including currency): Around $8.000 Country: Czech Republic Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming - GTA V, RDR2, WarZone, CyberPunk 2077, Battlefield V, Crysis Remastered, ARK: Survival Evolved Editing - Blender, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Daz3D Other details: Hi everyone, it seems that nobody knows anyone who builds custom PCs like I showed in my previous post, so I´ll probably have to build a PC of my dreams myself. I´ll just need your help, because I honestly don´t know what parts to choose and which parts do fit a specific type of motherboard, case etc. Few things I know I truly want are these: RTX 3090 - liquid cooled 2x 4TB SSD 64GB of ram (probably RGB) RGB fans Sleeved cables hard tubes - seethrough black or silver fittings case: Antec Torque Things I don´t know how to choose: motherboard processor (don´t know which one is better right now if Intel or AMD and I don´t know what do I need to enjoy games and editing) waterblock pump & reservoir power supply About that case - I like that futuristic design. I don´t honestly know what can fit inside, but it looks really cool. If this isn´t a case that could fit all the hardware listed above, I´d like to hear suggestions from you for a better case that could fit all in. Summary: This PC will be used for both work and gaming and I will be using this PC with a triple monitor setup (2x 2K monitors and 1x 4K monitor). Maybe a triple 4K monitor setup, but I´m still waiting for something new to pop up on the market. This is probably all I can think of right now. So let me know your thoughts, ideas and what hardware would you choose. Looking forward to see what you guys come up with.

Budget (including currency): Originally Planned 30k to 35k but due to lack of parts for the chosen GPU, i ended up at a price point of 60k which is the maximum i can afford to spend right now. Currency is Indian Rupee. Country: India Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Entertainment only. AAA-rated pc games at 1080p resolution (High or Very-High but not Ultra graphic settings) on a 43-inch 4k tv (60hz refresh rate) sitting at about 3 metres distance from the display screen on a couch. In future I might try VR-games/movies. More details: I want to upgrade my GPU. My current computer has : GTX 750ti, i5-650 and 1x8gb ram on a Intel chipset "H" motherboard for which power is supplied through a corsair vs450w 80+ psu. I know my current computer can technically support the GPU i have my eyes on, the "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G Graphics Card, 2X Windforce Fans, 6GB 192-bit GDDR6, Gv-N166SOC-6GD Video Card". But to avoid cpu bottlenecking (i dont want FPS drops/limitations in games), I have decided to buy a new processor, mobo, ram as listed here: Parts planned for purchase I dont really care for things like noiseless operation, power efficiency, etc. features that come with PSUs that are 80+Bronze (or higher) certified and i know my current psu, the corsair vs450W 80+ White can easily handle my rig even after i upgrade the said parts. However, i do see a Corsair vs650W 80+ bronze psu that is bundled with a very-similar (not exactly the same) corsair cabinet/case that i plan to buy (as listed above in pcpartpicker.com) at amazon.in I could afford it, but it would be reaaaaally stretching it in terms of budget, as i have already gone up from my originally planned budget of 30k to 60k, but it's indeed something i can afford if i wanted to but at the same time i know i dont really need the psu upgrade. Not unless under heavy load, my upgraded rig's power output reaches 450W or higher. (which is not possible i believe, but i am slightly concerned about it since the graphics card's suggested psu wattage is 450W, i tend to use PSUs that r slightly higher than the recommended specs to be on the safe side). I expect after the parts upgrade, my new rig's power output to be around 315W (this is with my other additional components installed, like a 1tb Western Digital Hard-Drive, mouse, keyboard and a 5.1 speakers....i literally have no other pc components that could very well possibly lead to a higher wattage consumption than around 315W ) My Question to the community is, should i get the 650W corsair power supply or is it not really something to worry about? I know having too low or too high psu wattage rating would lead to other issues but at the same time i also know that 450W to 650W PSUs shouldn't be an issue for this kinda build. Just to make it clear, as i said before, i dont care for features like noiseless operation, power efficiency, etc. but what i DO care about is that, under heavy load or very light load, my current psu should be able to supply the necessary power consistently to the whole computer. (Light load being when my computer is in sleep mode and heavy load being when i have been gaming on very-high 1080p graphic settings on a cpu/gpu intense AAA-rated game for over 6-hours straight. I know for a fact under normal load, which would be when i am browsing the internet, watching a movie, social-media, etc. my current psu is sufficient). Also, speaking of power, i tend to experience power fluctuations sometimes, (my home experiences Low voltage or high voltage because of which i use this UPS APC UPS ) and i know PSU has nothing to do with this, but i felt like it would be wise to point out that i use a UPS and why the usage of an UPS is necessary for clarity as this whole question is mainly about power supply. Apologies that I typed so much for y'all to read , I'm new to linus's forums, i have been a subscriber to his channel(s) since he worked for NCIX but i never joined the forums because there was no reason to do so up until now but now that i am finally here, i must admit i am fairly excited to interact with the community Thanks to whomever that reads all this with patience and replies asap to help me out as I would be making the purchase of all parts within the next 3 days from now so would be really nice to hear from y'all before that Gonna leave links below for all the parts that i plan to purchase in-case anybody wants to know ( the links that lead to individual products in the pcpartcpicker.com are incorrect as i dont plan to buy from newegg.com but instead from amazon.in): Processor : i5-9400F Mobo : MSI B365M PRO-VDH RAM : Crucial Ballistix 2666 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 16GB (8GBx2) CL16 BL2K8G26C16U4B (Black) Video Card : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Super OC 6G Graphics Card, 2X Windforce Fans, 6GB 192-bit GDDR6, Gv-N166SOC-6GD Video Card Case/Cabinet (my current choice as i dont believe i require psu upgrade) : Corsair Carbide Series CC-9011050-WW Mid-Tower Steel Gaming Case with Red LED (Black) Case/Cabinet+psu combo (if it's necessary to upgrade my psu to 650W) : Corsair Carbide SPEC-05 Mid-Tower Gaming Case with CV650 PSU (CC-9020125-UK) - Black (i have a universal power socket at my home already to go with this UK version of psu) Cheers to y'all.. - Shiva666
