i want to use a rfid reader and rfid card for windowslog in.I dont care about security. I am in windows 10.PLease tell me how can i do that and where i can find the hardware. IF the hardware is found in amazon it will be good

For a year long school project a friend and I are trying to build a self counting cornhole board, and through preliminary research it looks like RFID technology is the way to go. However, deciding what antenna to use has been giving us many problems. Looking at the pre-built models out there and how we would be mounting it the board the signals would be going straight up into the air and not very effective at reading the tags in the bags. We know we should be looking at circular polarization as the tags will almost never be in the same spot, but yet again we run into the issue of the signals going straight up into the air. So after a bit more research we found that we could potentially build our own copper wire antennas and place them inside the board, but lack the expertise to make those currently. Because this is a school project we are limited by money so buying a bunch of different things to try isn't really an option. So if anyone out there has experience with this sort of thing and can throw in their two cents, the help would be greatly appreciated. -Grayson

Does anyone know how frequency work? I know that there are low, high, and ultra high frequency. I want to know does an ultra high frequency is like a global king of all frequency or each type is of their own kind. I see some product say it has ISO 15693, ISO 18000-3 Mode 1 or EPC Class 1 Gen 2, ISO 18 000-6C. I want to know does ISO mean the class model or something? So for example a like a security detector uses 13.56 MHz but when another frequency of 860-960MHz also trigger it? --(I am trying to get a correct RFID tag, but don't know what frequency can do what.) Irrelevant storyline: A Hotel in Italy provides access to a shared pool, shared with 3 other hotels. At checkin you receive a wristband, similar to what you get at festivals, etc.. When you want to go in the pool, you have to put the band on your wrist, and scan it at a walkthrough cross thing, similar to london underground or at the airport. Question: Does someone of you guys know what kind of technology is used for this system? Maybe you can recognise it from the pictuere provided. The wristband is essentially made of plastic, Yellow color on the outside, white on the inside. on the wider part, there is (maybe printed) the name of the pool area displayed. On the inside of the wider part, there is a circuit looking thing, which seems to be the part of the access technology used. If you know some details about this technology plesase, share even if you are not 100% sure. Thank you in advance, and sorry for possible language mistakes and stupidness. Hello all, lately I have been thinking of putting in a "modern" proximity switch in my car. I am wanting it to be like a kill switch. When I enter the car, the switch will activate. When I'm out of the car, the switch will turn off killing the car. My idea is to use it as anti-theft. Does anyone have an idea with may a finger print, prox card, or something like the keyless entry? It's an older car so it should be simple to wire it. But I'm not sure what parts I am gonna need. Hello, I got a RFID UHF USB reader and it is the KL9005S, and I got the software for it CP21XX Silicon Labs Customization utility and all I want the reader to do is emulate a keyboard, read the tag and type it in like an old one I have already does (which is now broken) I had a look and it was showing up as a keyboard device but this one shows up like a COM port, I have tried putting keyboard drivers onto the reader but it does not work and I do not know anything about this stuff so I just need help haha Thank You in advance to anyone who helps

I have a RFID-RC522 hooked up to an Arduino so I can read RFID tags. I would like to be able to use the NFC in my iPhone to be read by the reader and have it do something based on the programming. Is this possible or do I need to get a NFC reader? Apple has the API released to use the NFC in an iPhone called Core NFC so I should be able to code the NFC on my phone.

I got a rfid implant and wanted to use it with a bike lock the only thing I found was a padlock.... soo I got a egee touch padlock with nfc and want to use my own nfc tag and this is what I found out : the ID is provided if you buy the tags frome THEM. These ID is also found in sector 0 / UID so for example 7abcd739 abcd is the manufacture provided ID so I thought what the hell lets try it but this UID "method" of using the 4 digets after the first 2 dosnt work .... I've been looking at cheap RFID readers/writers for a while now. I have a pretty specific use that I want to use it for being making a store of my school RFID ID incase I lose it and making a back up RFID card when I lose it. I wouldn't even bother with this if my school was reasonable with replacing these cards, but they are not and charge 10 dollars for a new card (I lose/break...mostly break... my card like every month or two...). However, I have a few things that the answers seem to be rather vague at best -perhaps someone can shed some light on these. Do readers read all cards? (I am uncertain what RFID system they use) If I buy a reader that doesn't have direct connection do I need a rasberry PI or ardino to connect it to (Eg. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mifare-RC522-Reader-IC-Card-Module-Tags-SPI-Interface-Read-and-Write-MG-/181695267674?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4de1c35a)sorry for ebay link they are fairly difficult to find on a well known (to me) site. There are different Mhz readers/writers (probably related to first question)\ If I could do this for under 30 dollars It would be well worth it for me as I spend that on new cards from my school anyway (actually would pay for itself probably 2x over in the next year or two)
