Super Mario 64 has been ported to PC from the N64 unofficially through the decomp code without emulation. There are a lot of misunderstanding going on with the PC port and misinformation aswell as it is not getting much attention. It was all over 4chan and was created by the same people who decompiled sm64. You can find on on their discord sever which is here but you need to provide the rom first. They also managed to get it running on the switch. Of course I am not going to post the file due to copyright. It currently supports windows and linux right now. It can run on directx or opengl at the moment. So why is this useful? Having the source code and being able to compile it with multiple windowing platforms like sdl and glx with graphics apis such as opengl and directx, you could easily run sm64 on many new platforms and hardware without the need of emulation. There is also a speed advantage since you are not emulating a console but playing it on your pc itself. Another thing is having a port to pc is just cool how they did it. With having the display lists rendered through a graphics api you could mess around with the shaders or how the game is rendered itself as shown as in a image I attached. This has also enabled sm64 to be played inside of the webbrowser with webgl and emscripten. If your wondering about if this is considered piracy it is not because you have to supply a base rom to first decompile before you can get the executable to run the port EDIT: They disabled invites due to the mass amount of people coming just for this Quick Update as of may 7th Nintendo has been taking down videos showcasing it and direct links to the compile executable. Hello, Im a 3D scan engineer based in the Netherlands. Currently, our company is looking to upgrade the hardware we use for 3D scanning and the reverse engineering of the data. We currently have 2 HP ZBook 15 G1 with the following specs: i7 4800QM 16GB DDR3 256GB SSD NVIDIA Quadro K2100M 2GB We use the following software: Solidworks (CAD) Geomagic Wrap (Software for 3D scanning and processing the data (pointclouds/meshes) Geomagic Design X (CAD software especially made for reverse engineering from 3D Scan data) Polyworks (Scanning/Quality Control program) We currently experience alot of waiting time with Geomagic Wrap, mainly when calculating meshes and processing pointclouds. I know we could run a beefy dekstop workstation, but around 60/70% of the time, we scan on location. The budet per notebook will be around 1500/2000 euros. But feel free to tip more expensive gear if it benefits us more! I hope I provided enough information for you guys to help us out!

If there are any folks out there willing to help me make a modification for ETS2(Euro Truck Simulator 2) & ATS(American Truck Simulator) that makes these games MMOs, I would really appreciate it. Probably a year ago, I became more and more interested of the PS2's inner workings. I don't know why, so don't ask. I'm incredibly curious about it, how it works and how games take advantage of the hardware. As of recently, I became aware of the PS2 Tool, which I think was have been involved in developing games for the system. Unfortunately, it's hard to obtain. For some reason, I want to play around with the PS2 development tools. Badly. Not sure why. This has led me to wonder if maybe it's possible to create your own through combining a modified PS2 system with a modified Pentium II 266 or Celeron 566 system. It would be difficult, if it's even possible. I know the PS2 Tool had a lot of manuals that explained the PS2's hardware in detail, and I would love to read them. I wonder who has actually created homebrew games for the PS2. Not PS2 Linux games, actual PS2 games, like the big name titles. I wonder if it's possible to use a PS2 Tool or modified PS2 in conjunction with a computer to develop games, even simple ones. I don't know what kinds of answers I'm looking. I want serious details of the system, because I'm just so bloody curious, and I can't help it. I know it sounds weird. I am weird.
