Subject: PC Shuts Down Unexpectedly When Playing Valorant - Need Help! Hello everyone, I'm reaching out to this community in hopes of finding a solution to a persistent issue I've been experiencing. Whenever I play Valorant on my PC, it suddenly shuts down without warning. This problem only occurs while I'm in the game; my PC works fine with all other applications. Here's what I've tried so far: - Updating my graphics card drivers and other drivers. - Monitoring the CPU/GPU temperatures (they seem normal). - Running a full system virus scan (no issues found). - Checking for Windows updates. - Moved Valorant to a different drive and reinstalled. - I've tested other games like Palworld and also ran Kombustor and Did not experience any crashes or issues. - Updated BIOS (Resulted in stuttering in games. I may have resolved it by disabling FTPM and turning Game Boost to auto in bios) My PC specs are as follows: - CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core Processor - GPU: ASUS TUF NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti - Motherboard: MSI B650 Tomahawk - RAM: 32gb 6000mhz - PSU: Deepcool PX850G - Operating System: Windows 10 I've checked the error logs in the Event Viewer, but nothing there points me towards a clear cause. The shutdowns are abrupt and don't lead to a blue screen or any error message; it's as if the power just cuts out. The image below shows the critical message for the restart. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? If so, how did you resolve it? Could it be a problem with the power supply, motherboard, or something else entirely? Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time and help! Best regards, Adnan

gtx1660 My GTX1660Ti Laptop Keeps Crashing and Restarting
joelarthur posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hello, I may be one of the few people with gaming laptops seeking help here.. My GTX166Ti Keeps crashing when I play heavier games such as Warzone or the Spiderman Remastered (Spiderman Miles Morales works somehow), but is totally fine when I play less intensive games such as CS2 or Valorant. I recently wanted to try out Battlefield 1 since it was on sale a few days ago and I keep crashing with the error code attached below. The first few times when I first had the laptop, it wasnt so bad, but now I guess it has gotten worse over the days and I have troubles with the Graphic card ALSO restarting itself a few times where it would turn black for a few seconds then turn back on... On the other hand I have my drivers regularly updated, I have updated my BIOS to the latest version. Please Help... I have tried under clocking where it helps but during heavier parts of the game it would still crash... I have also attached my dxdiag files down below.. * Edit I am currently using a double monitor setup that if I look into it is connected both to my GTX1660 if that Information helps in any way? Hi everyone, let me straight to the point. My PC specs are: Asrock b550m pro4 new R7 5700G new Zotac Holoblack RTX 3070 used havent repaste 32GB team create new Gamemax 650w 80+ bronze about 4 years old Problem: Around last week, I used video enhancer software to enhance HD to 4K and when it starts to work,my PC crashed and restarted. Then today after I updated my Nvidia driver, played Hogwarts Legacy and it restarted. Played the Witcher 3,able to play for an hour then it restarted. I limit my GPU power draw to 50% for energy saving. What really happened? Is the PSU break? Or I need to reseat cables and repaste GPU? Anyone with the same issue? I plan on cleaning my PC tonight while repaste and repads all the components. If that fails, perhaps PSU is at fault? Need help here, and thank you for any replies.

Hi, AS mention in the title I have an old laptop I'm trying to make usable again however Windows keeps restarting during boot. After many tries, (clean installs, different hardrives) I installed ubuntu and it works fine. This is not in dual boot it works with just Linux and it doesn't with just Windows. I don't have the spec sheet at hand but we're talking about something with an AMD A-10, 8GB DDR3 and a samsung 870QVO. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. If I missed anything I'll be as fast as I can updating the post. Edit: As suggested in the comments I double checked all UEFI settings with no success.

Hello, I recently purchased a pre-built PC from cyberpowerpc and haven't been able to resolve it correctly through them, so here I am. My issue: Every few days, or once a week or more I'll be watching a YouTube video, or just working on photoshop, etc. And I'll move a tab around or click off to something and my PC will freeze. My three monitors will one at a time go black, and then after a minute or more my keyboard and mouse will turn off too. After that the PC restarts fully. No blue screen, no erros, nothing. The PC doesn't even turn off fully What I have tried: New GPU (Got it replaced since that is what cyberpowerpc thought was the issue) Did a ram diagnostic (No errors) Ran my Samsung SSDs through magician, no errors either. Changed power cord and also changed the power strip the psu was plugged into. All drives are updated. When I check event viewer it says my pc crashed because of Kernel power 41 which is a PSU related error. I have gotten an RMA twice from corsair and got new psus but this issue would always happen. I even swapped out different pc parts including motherboard to see if I have other deflective components, but no even when i use my evga psu nothing happens at all when I use my corsair psu, my game restarts but in a very specific place in the game and not all games, but sometimes it just restarts randomly. So I have tried everything software and hardware related I dont know how to fix my problem I don't know what to do anymore. Could it be possible that the electricity in my house isn't reaching the psu properly? I also cant use my EVGA psu because its 500 wats and I need a 750 watt psu for my 3070. For example Im trying to play Rouge Company and whenever i go and play the tutorial mission and start hitting the dummy my pc would just restart in the place all the time. For gta it only restert once with the new rma psu, but the old psu it would restart my pc more often.

Recently I've installed a new cpu and it's been working fine until i tried to run fortnite, when the PC shut-off and restarted. The same thing happened when i tried to run Doom: Eternal, and Forza Horizon 4. This also happens when I run to many programs at the same time and try to load more stuff. Although, I can run easier games such as Osu! and minecraft. I've tried looking at my cpu temp while doing these intensive things, but it never seems to go over 60-65 Celsius, until it shuts down and restarts again. So I don't believe cooling is a problem. I suspect it may be my cheap 450w raptor PSU but I have no guarantee. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I have old HP laptop which is working very slow then it restarts itself and works completely fine. I have install clean Windows 7 but the issue remains... Do you have any suggestions what more can I do?

The pc was working just fine, I turned it off unplugged everything to test another pc and right after I swapped back it kept restarting over and over automatically with no display It looks like the power supply turns on and after few seconds the cpu cooler starts spinning and for a short period of time it turn offs, And then repeat. Again, the pc was working just fine it only stopped working after unplugging everything and plugging it back I have tried reseating the ram and it didn't work.

Hello guys. I have an Asus G752VS laptop and today I've noticed if I try to grab it in a certain way, the screen fills up with purple artifacts which cause the whole system to restart itself. I'll put a video about it here: go at 3:41 Specs: 64bit OS 48 GB Ram i7 7700HQ GTX 1070 Samsung 970 pro 1TB Has anyone faced with this problem before? Is it from the GPU or the plastic is pushing the motherboard and the SSD might be moving from it's place? Edit: I went into UEFI settings and in the boot order the 970 pro ssd(which has the OS) was not included. Normally that was the primary drive. I had to put it back in the load order.

So i have a issue related to the PC restarting when i play games (never happens in idle) When i play WoW on my CRG9 it tends to restart about every 15-20mins, but when playing Apex on it, its behaving nicely. Same goes for playing Tarkov on my HUA271. I've checked temps (sitting at 50-60 degrees C*) when gaming. The windows log only gives me generic info about Kernel power, unexpected power loss. Just to make sure, ive cleaned my parts nicely, even taken it out of the cabinet with no help. A quick google search points me toward the PSU or GPU.. I have gotten a accepted warranty return for my GPU and PSU, but i can't afford to be without my PC for a month or three in these times (Work with IT from home) At a loss what else to do. Any tips or tricks before i have to send it in? Will resetting a CMOS really help me out here? Hello, I have upgraded Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit to Windows 10 Enterprise 64-bit version 1909 and noticed that restarting or shutting down laptop takes like 4 minutes. It is just stuck at "Restarting..." or "Shutting Down..." screen until it finally does restart or shut down. Everything is fine in "Safe Mode" though... I guess there is some kind of service or running application that delays restarting or shutting down process and I have no idea how to find out which one causes this.

I'm having an issue where a PC is randomly restarting on its own now none of my USB's are working or even getting power (RGB's aren't turning on). Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong or what I could try to fix it? The restarts started while playing Apex the game froze and then the PC restarted on its own. No blue screen or anything. Then it happened again just trying to change an audio setting in Golf With Friends. I verified the game files on both games but now the PC started restarting just from the desktop alone. Motherboard LED's are on so the board must have some kind of Power. Now I can't even get video to my monitors when I try to turn my PC on. PC is relatively new with a GTX 1070 and an i5 9600K which is air cooled. Please help!

Hey, I wanted to reach out to see if anyone can shed some light on these pc problems i’ve been having. The problems started when i tried to update my win10 version. settings said i needed some important security fixes so i went ahead and tried to install the update. it didn’t work. i got an error code which i learned meant i was missing important files (it didn’t specify which) so i used the sfc /scannow command and cmd said that my problems were solved. i cleared my update cache and re-downloaded the update. once downloaded i tried to install the update again. didn’t work. same error, same issues as before. i then kinda gave up and left it for a week. after that break i tried again to fix the issue. used sfc again, tried DSIM command but didn’t work cause i had no corrupted files, despite what the update error said. i then got a notification to change my update times (like the preferences for auto update). i changed it to like 2pm-6pm (incorrect times in retrospect as it was like 2:34 at that point and i was often on my pc for that entire “down time” period) and my pc randomly restarted. i assumed it restarted because of the times i had set so i logged in again and altered the auto update times to a correct period. unfortunately i must have done something wrong as my computer began to restart randomly. it started randomly, then was every 1-2 hours, then 30mins, then every 7-10mins, and finally every 2-3mins. at this point i thought a virus was causing these issues so i did a full system scan using Norton Antivirus but found no issues. in a last ditch effort i wiped my pc, hoping that that would solve the issue but no, it didn’t. my pc would restart every 2-3mins which meant i was never able to complete the windows 10 setup. at this point i decided to go into BIOS to see if i could diagnose the issue from there, no luck. my dad had suggested the possibility of the restarting being a result of overheating but after looking in BIOS after 1 of the random restarts my CPU temp was 29c, not nearly hot enough to cause any issues. but after mucking around in BIOS - fiddling with my CPU fan settings for a while - i realised my pc had not restarted yet. in fact, no matter how long i spend in BIOS, my pc never restarts. i then thought maybe if i reinstall the OS that would fix things as my issues with updating my windows version seemed to have caused the issues in the first place. i also realised that my pc didn’t restart on its usual schedule of every 2-3mins during the OS reinstall. weird. so my pc only restarts every 2-3mins during the windows setup process and while i’m logged in, but not in BIOS or during an OS reinstall. huh. i successfully reinstalled the OS and the stars aligned as i managed to complete the setup process. i logged in to find that my pc doesn’t recognise my wifi card and so i have no internet connection. i’m hoping that, if this restarting issue is resolved, i can recover some of my files & photos with data recovery programs, but that’s it for now. Thanks if you read it all. i will seriously consider any and all suggestions in the comments. Cheers.

I'm encountering a strange issue where my PC will get stuck in a boot loop either when trying to load into Windows 11 after startup, or occasionally after idling for <5 mins on the desktop. At this point I think it's due to hardware, but I need some help narrowing down which component it might be. Almost all of these parts are brand new, so I am still able to return/ RMA. Things I have tried: Booting to BIOS (fine, doesn't reboot on its own, temps are low and can navigate the menus) Updating BIOS Unplugging/ replugging in all connections to PSU/ mobo (still rebooting) Removed motherboard and components from case for test boot (still rebooting) Checked pins on CPU, repasted/ reseated cooler Reseated ram, tried single stick across multiple seats Tried GPU in both PCIe slots Moved primary M.2 to other M.2 port Tried old (known working) PSU and plugged in components (still rebooting) Plugged in to different wall outlets The only way that produces a stable boot is when I remove the M.2 drive and boot to a recovery drive. However, I don't think the issue is the M.2 drive since I also tried to boot from an old SSD with Windows 10, and it was still rebooting. Any thoughts on what it might be? There could also be some sort of UEFI config thing that I wouldn't know about. Specs: Windows 11 Pro AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (stock) Gigabyte B550 VISION D-P Motherboard (updated to BIOS version F15) RTX 3070 FE (known to be working in other rig, stock) G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 be quiet! My wife's PC I built restarts randomly while gaming. I cannot for the life of me figure it out. I built it about a year ago and the things I thought were the culprits weren't. It diesnt do it wverytime its under heavy load. Sometimes it will restart early and the rest of the night be stable. (Note: I have reinstalled windows several times during this course. Tried both windows 10 and then 11) I originally had a 1050 in there that was really old so I thought maybe that, but it still does it with her new Zotac 3060ti. Then I swapped out the PSU that was some off brand for a corsair 750rm. Still doing it. Reset PC once more and still restarting only during gaming. Im guessing its the processor but before I do anything else (buy a new processor) I wanted some suggesstions. Processor: 3500x (Corsair aio) GPU: Zotac 3060ti PSU: Corsair 750 MB: MSI B550 A Pro Ram: 16gb 3600mhz XPG 1tb m.2 WD black nvme 500 gb sandisk ssd (empty game library if m.2 fills) Edit: Ran windows memory diagnostic and no errors detected. 1/10 it crashes we get BSOD

Okay so, at ,as far as I can tell, random times my pc reboots. This happens when idle or when gaming. I have tried all of the following: Leaving PC on without mouse, keyboard, external harddrive, ethernet or speakers plugged in GPU, CPU,PSU,RAM stress tests which brought back nothing Malware / Virus scans Scanning for corrupt files Changing PSU Cable twice Plugging PSU cable in a different but close socket, and in an external socket And finally, returning the PC back to the company i bought it from, they have said they fixed it and when they left it on idle it didnt crash for a whole 2 days apparently. In my event viewer every crash shows "Event 41, Kernel Power", and therr are some other warnings and errors such as "DistributedCOM" and "User Device Registration" and "WHEA-Logger" Additional info: When I gave back the pc to the company they said they tried replacing basically every part and it was still crashing, so they "changed some software settings" and it stopped crashing for them Parts List: CPU Ryzen 5 5600X GPU RTX 3060 PSU GIGABYTE P650B MOTHERBOARD B450M PRO-VDH MAX If anyone has any thoughts or solutions, please, please tell me.

My computer after a few months I bought it began to crash. It would just black screen, and restart itself while playing games. It would work for a day and sometimes would work for 20 minutes before crashing which frustrating especially during valorant. Now it will black screen, and I have to reseat ram, take out all the peripherals, hold down the power button to get it to boot then wait 30 seconds, and then maybe it'll turn on. Then sometimes it turns on blue screens, works for 5 minutes black screens and then won't display again. I bought a prebuilt I know that was not a good idea especially since at the time I bought it when graphics cards were insanely high prices so I thought it was a good deal. I've had it for a year and it's just had these consistent issues. Sometimes after it black screens it'll restart and take me to the login screen, sometimes amd Radeon software uninstalls itself and even while it's gone it'll crash. I have completely reset my SSD and that didnt work. The prebuild the reason why I brought it up is my graphics card is jammed to my motherboard and I cannot get them apart. I have literally no money so I am trying to find a solution just so I can be sane. This has been such a stressful experience since I'm not good with computers. My friends even reseated cpu and it did nothing. These are my specs and I really need help and any/all even anything is just appreciated I'm so stressed from this all. OK. Here's my issue. About 3 or 4 days ago, after starting my computer up, it started to Blue Screen all the time. Sometimes it would hit the Blue Screen before it got to the login screen, sometimes it would be on the login screen, or after I log in and during both idle and somewhat busy (i.e. browsing the internet using Google Chrome). The longest that I've been able to run my computer is about 45 minutes or so before it hits the blue screen and restarts. I've received many different Windows stop-codes at these blue screens to include the following: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION REGISTRY_FILTER_DRIVER_EXCEPTION IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED APC_INDEX_MISMATCH My computer was overclocked slightly before the issue, so I tuned it down which didn't work. So I then turned it back to the default overclock. That still didn't work. My next step was to return my BIOS to default settings which still didn't do anything. At this point, I cleared my CMOS. That didn't work either. Thinking that it wasn't my BIOS, I turned towards my hardware. I have Windows 10 installed on a M.2 SSD installed on the motherboard, so the first thing that I did was take a (somewhat) older SSD with Windows 8.1 installed on it and booted from that. It worked for a little bit, but then after running a few things, I received the blue screen again. So I turned towards the GPU's next thinking that maybe one of my two GPU's was doing something weird. (I have 2 GTX 1070's). I took them out one at a time and tried to boot with just one GPU. Neither of them fixed the issue. (I would try to run with onboard graphics, but my motherboard doesn't have that so I have to run with the assumption that it isn't my GPU's). My next step was to replace my power supply after a tip from a friend who said that he once overclocked his CPU and it "fried his power supply". I replaced it with a known-good power supply and that didn't solve the issue. My next steps are to try and see if any of my RAM is being weird. I'm also worrying that maybe my CPU or my motherboard are busted. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on what the issue might be? The ONLY thing that I can think of is that the night before the issues starting showing up, there was a power outage at my house, but I have my computer hooked up to an UPS, which is fully functional and I was able to successfully shutdown my computer with no problems. If it does turn out to be my CPU and/or motherboard, how would I go about testing that, seeing as I have no spares that would work with each other. This issue has been really annoying, and I'm reaching the end of my troubleshooting expertise, so any information would be greatly appreciated. I've included my computer hardware and setup below to help any troubleshooting. Motherboard: ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 CPU: Intel i7 6800K OS: Windows 10 CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 GPU: (2) GTX 1070 RAM: 64GB Dominator Platinum Storage: Samsung 950 Pro (256GB) PSU: Corsair RM1000i I appreciate any help that you guys would be able to provide. Doing research I found that duplicate audio drivers may cause this. I have no duplicates, found several links saying I need to make a power plan. Basically breaks down to never letting computer sleep. Also saw PSU might cause a problem, replaced and still having issue. Kinda outta ideas here system will sometimes run fine for hours at a time. Typically if it restarts there is less and less time between each restart.
