I also have read the expected price tage is about $700 US from some places and other say it will be more like $600 US. Which of these is more likely to be the price tag do you guys think?

So heres the new post! The original idea is to keep this post updated and whenever someone wants to share a new article with the community, here they can do It without creating a new topic so Its almost impossible to look for the right info because the forum is flooded... Referring to the thread I started about the dilemma to buy a laptop for my college years. I was advised by 'THE NORSE' that I should wait for Gen 2 which may hit the shelves in April this year, made me think about it specs, new features and what it should have, etc. So here's the result of the little bit research I did on it (points referring different websites) - 1. The first thing I came across was by the christianpost (http://www.christianpost.com/news/microsoft-surface-book-2-release-date-news-update-release-of-kaby-lake-strengthens-rumor-about-book-2-processor-173588/) Processor - Kaby Lake, because of the power saving feature it has and maybe having a 4k display with VR ready. On which I highly doubt because looking at the Microsoft's design of the surfaces, it is more like a professional work laptop than gaming and it also would need greater battery life which would defeat the purpose of Kaby Lake (I think so) Release - Not confirmed yet, but Pro 5 definitely will be launched with it. 2. According to Tech times (http://www.techtimes.com/articles/194252/20170125/microsoft-surface-book-2-rumors-kably-lake-processor-4k-display-and-more.htm) (presumably the Gen2 tease by Microsoft). Design - More ridges in the hinge, making it better Display and Processor - Same as above Battery life - More so as to support VR ready for longer operation Release - Again claiming it being launched with Pro 5, in late march or early April this year. Ports - USB-C support but NOT thunderbolt 3 (which makes sense because of the apple rivalry) which is quite disappointing for me as at the end of the day, we all have to accept about apple claiming that the future is in Thunderbolt 3. (Come on man we can do anything with it , 40 GBPS!!!). 3. After coming down to T3 (http://www.t3.com/news/surface-book-3-everything-we-think-we-know) Operating system - Big WIN 10 update, rolling out this summer which may have VR support Release - OCTOBER 2017!!!, which according to me is pointless, the older surfaces will be outdated pretty bad by then. Display and Processor - Same as above RAM - 32 GB option, which makes sense with its 4k display, and making it 4k render machine and their tactics of staying a step ahead of Apple. . Conclusion - Design - There is not much to talk about the design, except the image the Microsoft uploaded on Instagram (Above) there are almost no leaks or rumors about the design, but yeah we can accept the fact that there can be more ridges in the hinge so as to reduce the gap between the dock and screen, which was criticized a lot in earlier version. Display - 4K display, as it also supports the Editor, Animators and Designer (as Microsoft shows the products in their ads) and also steps up the game of trying to be one step ahead of apple and is simply amazing. Processor - Most probably Kaby Lake, after seeing the CES 2017, it makes a lot of sense for Microsoft to go for it with its power saving capability and 4K+3D ready. --But what to say about AMD, maybe they have a Ryzen specifically designed to blow the laptop industry ( I hope so), but it is rarely possible. RAM - 8, 16 and 32 GB options as again these products hits the sweet spots for creators, it will definitely need more RAM to render in 4K (as it's the future and there'll be no point of having 4K display). Graphics - Really blurry situation here, as no one have talked about it just one site claims it to be having GTX 1080, which IDK anything about for it to be used in Surfacebook, as it's more like a gaming card (I may be wrong on this). --But again AMD may blow up the market with vega GPU which may be compatible for laptops and may have contacted Microsoft before in hand.(again highly improbable but I wish it's true). This thread is for discussion on the Surfacebook Gen 2 (as it may be called 3 because of 2 being the performance base) so all thoughts and suggestions are welcomed and I'd also like to hear what you guys think about it. Disclaimer - I'm not an expert so I may be wrong at many or even all places so corrections and suggestions are welcomed. Hi all, this is my first post. I have been searching the past hour for the Pentium G4560, one of the new Kaby-Lake Pentiums. I've already seen videos on benchmarks for it, stacked up against other CPU's, so I just want to know where I can buy one! Only reputable seller I've seen with the G4560 in stock is B&H, but I can only pre-order one from them. Can someone please provide a release date, if there even is one? Thanks all! Tyler

So I'm planning a build with the new Kraken X62, and NZXT just pushed its "Earliest Estimated Shipping Date" from Nov 18 to Nov 28. Curious if anyone has worked with NZXT pre-releases in the past: How timely are they? Should I fear a months-long wait or can I just chill out?

The 3000 series for the Ryzen line up has been a success for AMD and I'm excited to join team red by jumping all in on the latest release. However, I'm conflicted in choosing the 12 core 3900x or waiting for the 16 core 3950x which is just around the corner. For context, I have used the x99 platform from intel since 2015. Originally I was running the 6 core 5820k until a new corsair power supply shorted and toasted the motherboard and the CPU. A damage claim with Corsair later and I've been running the 6850k with an updated x99 board for the past 2 years until 2 months ago. Turns out after much headache and time, the 6850k died without warning on idle leaving me without my system. Besides the blemishes I've had for the last 4 years, I was happily using my setup for Gaming, Editing and 3D rendering in Cinema 4D. I'd say 65%of my time leans more towards gaming and the rest goes between Premiere, After Effects, Handbrake, and Lately Cinema 4D with ProRender and Octane. Cinema 4D has been a growing interest for me for modeling and product visualizations and thus I made the investment years ago in dual 1080ti s for the purpose of expanding into the fields. I made the choice in the x99 platform for the 40 PCI Lanes to optimize the SLI setup. Unfortunately, that was also the reason I stayed on the platform for the past 4 years Luckily the timing of the lastest zen 2 processors came out with the same PCI lane support and now I'm between the 3900x or the 3950x with the x570 ASUS ROG Hero VIII. Do I bite the bullet and snag a 3900x somehow or hold my horse and snag the 3950x at launch considering my use case? Money isn't a consideration here.

B&H says November now but just a couple months ago it was saying August and then October and the other sites that have it up for pre-order don't have a date just coming soon. I’m looking to purchase the parts for my first pc and when I checked yesterday it was preorder off of B&H for June 26. Now I check today and see it pushed to July 21. Idk when to expect it to release cause I wanted the older model but now that there’s a better version it’s not worth going back to that one but I also want to have it ready for next school year in case of distance learning. Any ideas?

I heard that Ryzen + will be rolling out relatively soon, but, I was wondering, is there any confirmation of when Ryzen 3 + will be released? I already bought a GTX 1050 as the beginning of my desktop's transformation, and I was wondering if it was close, or if I should just save for a Ryzen 3 1200 instead.

Hey guys this is Austin (lol) [it's David] I'm building my first and long awaited pc and wanted to know when will this RAM be released for purchase. I'm planning on buying the red LED 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3000 or 3200MHz kit. This will go with my Asus Maximus Viii Hero Alpha (LED's on motherboard) And i7 6700K .

Does anyone know when ASUS's ROG Rampage V Edition 10 comes out? I've tried to do some searching but so far no real definite release date, just a few reviews. I've heard at the end of June, but does anyone know for sure? (And on the side, what about the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G? I see that it's on amazon).

With Samsung releasing their NVMe SSD's earlier last week and all of the other rumors I have been hearing, does anyone know when the majority of these will be available for consumers. All I know of at the moment is INTEL's 750 series and it's a bit pricey I'm looking to pick up an SSD in the $300 range rather than $400+. Anyone have any info on the release dates, where to purchase, pricing, ect. Anything is appreciated, Thanks!
