I've been browsing for a few peripherals, namely charging stations/bricks. I'm in Australia: When buying a product from a company based in a region outside your own, let's use Ugreen as an example which is a company that doesn't have AUS/Oceania as a region option. Will the power plug I'm sent be a US one, or is it standard to send the relivant plug from the region the order was placed from? My question is particularly aimed at products like wall chargers where the plug is actually a part of the product which leaves no option to swap out the power cable like you would do with a HUB/Dock.

Hello, I got my friend his old xbox account from the US. I live in Europe and he had a Xbox 360 with over a year of Live Gold left. I have a pc and I want to upgrade the Live Gold to Game Pass. The only problem is that the region is of the whole account is set to USA and I don't have USA based payment instrument. Is there a way I somehow can convert the whole account to Europe including the Live Gold WITHOUT losing any months or so? If not, then is there a way I can bypass the payment instrument? I have 15 dollars as my balance. Thanks in advance!

So here's the deal, I am currently living in the US but studying at university in England. I have enough money to buy a PS4 in the US but I don't want to deal with any region problems as my whole family will be permanently moving to England within a year. I've tried doing some research but it seems people are all over the place with region locks, PSN stuff etc. I just want to know if I buy a PS4 in the US, will it have any problems when being used in the UK? Can I buy games in the UK and have them work fine on the US PS4 or what? I know you have to create different PSN accounts for different regions which frankly is absolutely stupid seeing as Xbox can just change easily without any issues but I digress...Since I will be living in England for the foreseeable future should I create my PSN account with a UK region or US? Should I just wait until I am in England? Can US games work with a UK PSN account? Any help would be fantastic, thanks!

So I have a 3DS I bought in England but for the summer I will be in the US. I am interested in some old DSi games from my childhood but I can't be sure if they will be compatible with the foreign 3DS. I know they are compatible but I don't know if there is a region lock on any of them or a region lock for the 3DS. The specific games are Custom Robo Arena and Super Mario 64 DS, these were two defining games of my early childhood with the DS and I would love to relive that. Any help would be great, thanks!

Hi guys! I use this website g2a often to get games cheaper. I wanted to get Call of Duty Infinite Warfare for PC. G2A has a great deal, but it says EU on it. I live in the United States. This is the link: https://www.g2a.com/call-of-duty-infinite-warfare-steam-cd-key-eu.html On it, it says that I definitely cant play it in the US. But, G2A almost always has a USA or Global copy of games, why doesnt this one have it this time. Also, all over the internet people are saying that it will work if it is from the EU and you try it in the US. Do you think that this game will work in America? Thanks.

*I know people don't like COD but don't post hate please* So I have played every COD since MW3 and have loved all of them except Ghosts. But I have played all of them on Xbox, but I don't have an Xbox because university. Now saying that should I get IW on PC? I play BF1 and a lot of other games on PC but it's just COD that I feel I should stick to console for. But I am currently in the UK for university but I go home to the US for the summer and I read on GMG that the game is only playable in the region it is purchased. So I don't want to be screwed when I can't play on my PC when I go home for the summer. So is that really true? And in the UK GMG.com is all British pricing but on my PC Steam is still in US pricing so does that matter, idk. I also want to know peoples opinion about the game, like what did you like/dislike about it, how is the movement? Setting? Multiplayer? Zombies? Not just blind hate. And right now the reviews on Steam are 55% positive and being one of the rare few that actually enjoyed No Man's Sky I feel pretty confident I'll like it despite negative reviews. I already have BF1 and am planning to buy Titanfall 2 just to round out all my lovely FPS games so don't call me a fanboy because I'm not, I just enjoy COD games. Sorry if this is all over the place. Thanks for any help!

Hello, Just wanted to ask, I'm about to buy Corsair VS450 in country I live in, which their residential voltage is 230V and I also do have a Prolink Line Interactive UPS 650VA with AVR - PRO700SFC which also bought in here. If I were moving to another region country with different voltage like 100V, can I still use them without any problem ? Or do I have to buy another PSU and UPS there too ? Thanks for the answers.

I moved from India to the USA. My steam account from India has the following games CSGO, AoE 2 HD, AoE 3, AoM, They are billions, Cities Skylines, Factorio. I have payment options from both regions - it is unlikely I will lose any of the payment options from either of these regions. I live permanently in the USA. I am pondering from a year if I should change my region. My options would be - Keep the Indian steam account, Make a new account for the United States. Abandon the Indian steam account, Make a new account for the United States. Change the region of the Indian steam account. Reasons to keep the Indian steam account or change the region to retain the account I have. Cheaper games - Not that I can't afford the prices here in the US just being thrifty. Keep the Reputation - I have the steam account from 5+ years, played CSGO for 1.7k hrs. AoE 2 DE is coming out this fall and I heard for people who already have AoE 2 HD there is a ~$5 discount. All the above reasons are not really a deal breaker for me, I can live with losing those advantages. Reasons to make a new US account. Tax purposes - I heard Steam asks for tax details if you sell market items above a certain limit. India is known for banning/censoring content randomly and without much notice. Certain games are mostly available only in the US, some games get released here first. And generally, I will be in line with my fellow Americans, possibly better sales, and also the availability of certain steam stuff. I don't know the word for it but I like to keep my life organized. So if its option 2, no clue about what I should do about the Indian account. I'd like to hear your opinions, you can also add anything else I might have left above.

HI, So i bought an Xbox 360 in India a few years ago and I have a couple of games, I am not sure if they are region locked or anything (games used to have that issue before right?) I was thinking of taking it to Canada, do you think it will work fine, or should i just leave it behind? In India we have 220V electric grid so I would probably need to change the adapter but will everything else work fine? Please help, accordingly I shall have to take the heart breaking decision to sell it along with all the games.

Hey everyone! I'm looking into getting a blu-ray player and was looking at the BDPS1500 from Sony, this one (http://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/blu-ray-disc-players/bdp-s1500/specifications) On the website it says it supports both NTSC and PAL (I live in a PAL country) But most the blu-rays I want to buy are US imports and after doing some research, apparently this blu-ray player is region locked to depending where you buy it. (Sony lying on their website) 1. I'm not sure if this is true or not 2. If it is true, it is no longer on my list, so... What I want is your help in suggestions for a blu-ray player that is REGION-FREE/UNLOCKED and at max £75 including shipping. Thanks for your help!

(A link to the article: NintendoLife.com) Nintendo are up against Microsoft and Sony when it comes down to gaming networks on the console. Microsoft and Sony are rocking the top 3 with a tie for first place on the network quality. Though both have a great and stable network, Nintendo is producing the better games in my opinion. I like the games that come out for the Nintendo console better, no doubt. But I straight up don't play them as often because I don't have anyone to play them with. Nintendo are really losing the race this way, so them looking into making the online experience better is a great step in the right direction if you ask me. Why do region locks exist anyway? They mostly produce their own games, so why do they block players from around the world from interacting and enjoying the game together? Alright, that was my opinion on this topic. What do you guys think? Greetz, Alean

The new version of the 3DS is being released in Japan on october 11th. it is coming in the normal size and the xl, or LL in japan. It plays regular 3ds games, but the new 3ds features a better cpu, better viewing angles, a right analog stick, and better buttons. I live in USA. If I get the new 3ds LL off of amazon.jp (japanese amazon), i know how to get it delivered to me, would I be able to play games i buy at my local gamestop, or could i only play japanese version games. i guess my question is, is there a region lock and if there is, can i unlock it so i can play USA games. THanks

Hello, there. I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help me out with the PowerDVD software. I am using Cyberlink's PowerDVD Pro version 13 on Windows 8, and I'm running into issues with the region playback options on the software. I wouldn't be using it because VLC is far superior other than the fact that despite me following an online guide with precision correctly to mod VLC into reading and playing Blurays, I am among the few who the mod just will not work for, unfortunately. So basically, PowerDVD has a programmed limit to the number of times you can change the region options for blurays and dvds. After changing the region 5 times, you are stuck and the region can't be changed again. I have seen two online instructions, listed below, which show ways of going into the registry files of the software and changing the code ,which decrements the region change limit, by an enormous amount, therefore I can change the region of the software almost infinitely, which is my want. However, I can't follow the guides for; firstly, they detail how to do this on XP and Vista windows operating systems only, which I don't have ( as stated before, I use 8), and I've no idea where to find the registry code which they demonstrate in the program files of the PowerDVD software. Please help! Thank you very much. http://www.mydigitallife.info/reset-cyberlink-powerdvd-blu-ray-region-code-to-free-locking/ http://forums.kmplayer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6431

I'll try to keep this simple and short: I was just watching this Byte Size Tech video, because I am sometimes interested in this channels point of view on all things tech and thought to myself: what do people around the world consider to be a large about of money? If you think about it, even though the internet is essentially yesterdays news, as it has now become a part of everyday life for most people, I still sometimes find it absolutely mesmerising how interconnected the majority of the world is nowadays, yet how it differs so much.. I think that in the world of technology the true value of money is quickly forgotten. We often forget how privileged some of us may be and how hard others have to work.. While I agree that you are who you are and that you live where you live, I still believe it's sometimes important to put yourself in someone else's shoes. Maybe this discussion could serve as a safe and neutral space for people to try and understand other people, which is important in the world of tech and especially in regards to this forum (recommendations, prices of tech, etc.)

Wow, even if I had the slightest like of the Xbox One now it's not there anymore  . Okay so what is this about? It's about Xbox One blocking activation of games outside of the IP range of a supported country. Meaning if you travel and want to take your Xbone with you, it will be a useless paper wight (imagine the dimension of the paper if you are using Xbone as paper wight :)) ). Here is the source: Twitter feed to the image: HERE Funny post on the twitter feed by @gi4ouR: Source and more about this info: eTeknix.com Edit: by courtesy of our LinusTechTips member @Sundanc3 posting this info: Xbox changed their way of thinking of used games, his post here with the source there. A few bullet points that are most important from his source: Access your entire games library from any Xbox One—no discs required Share access to your games with everyone inside your home Give your family access to your entire games library anytime, anywhere Trade-in and resell your disc-based games Give your games to friends So yeah please do check his post, or to be more precise his source because he only posted a source no comments about what it's there... Check it because it elaborates every bullet point I posted here. Anyways do you think that this will help Xbone? Because I think it will.
