Gpu: Rx 6800xt Driver version: 23.5.2 (same issue with the latest drivers 23.7.2) When connecting the second monitor which is 1080@75hz, the power consumption increases from 5-15w to a steady 37-40w and the VRAM clock speed increases from 192mhz to a constant 2138mhz. I tried decreasing the refresh rate to 60hz on the primary monitor which is 1080@144hz while the second remains at 75hz and it fixes the issue. Also, running the primary monitor at 1080@100hz while the second runs at 1080@75hz also fixes the issue. But running both at the stock settings, the primary at 1080@144hz and the second at 1080@75hz triggers this issue. I'm using: Aoc 2590G4 and Lg22 smth

First off, thanks for taking the time to read my first post, i hope to become a regular in these forums. So ive been troubleshooting my samsung odyssey G5, the issue im experiencing is that once the monitor comes out of standby after the PC has been on for a while, theres is the sound of a new monitor being connected the pixels seem to be blurry to read (i can distincly notice the colours of the pixels, and when i see the monitor setting my resolution is at 2560 x 1440 @ 119.99 hz when it should be at 2560 x 1440 @144 hz. The issue is easily resolved by turning the monitor on and off and unplugging/replugging the display port, but i shouldnt have to do that every time sooooo that means its time for some trouble shooting. Attempted troubleshooting process: I started by switching out my display port cable from my DP 1.4 to a DP 1.3 im borrowing. the problem was resolved until i placed the DP cable into the cable slots of my vesa mount arm unsure of whether this is just a correlation or a cause. I proceeded to suspect either the cable is being pinched, or there is some magnetic interference from the power chord which is sharing the tight organising path. giving the cable more slack and ensuring no pinching has not resolved the issue. My next option is to seperate the cables and see if the power cable is indeed interfering with the signal. HDMI does not experience this issue. both ends are firmly plugged in. Second 1440p @75hz monitor experiences none of these issues (connected via HDMI and no DP to troubleshoot that aveneue). I'd love to hear someone elses thoughts on possible things i could check, i have no idea on how id even isolate the monitor or my GPU to see if maybe those are the cause of the problems. If the monitor is the issue i can still return it under warranty, and the same goes for my gpu (gtx 1060 6G). Thanks in advance for everyones suggestions!

Hi, I have LG ultra Gear 27' (LG Ultragear 68.5 cm (27-inch) IPS FHD, G-Sync Compatible, HDR 10, Gaming Monitor with Display Port, HDMI x 2, Height Adjust & Pivot Stand, 144Hz, 1ms - 27GL650F) it works fine while doing other tasks and gives 144 hz Refresh rate but while playing overwatch it sometimes dips down to 59 or 48 hz, this problem started occurring recently after updating my AMD drivers P.S i am using 6800XT with R5 5600X

Hi, I just got the Xbox Series X but am already facing a problem with it. I believe it only supports 120Hz on monitors that have that timing in there "preset display modes", I believe it has something to do with EDID timings (not 100% sure here, learnt all of this today). So you can have a 144Hz monitor but it wont run at 120Hz on the Xbox Series X if the resolution/refresh rate is not in the presets table of the monitor. I know the monitor I have (Dell S2719DGF) can do 120Hz at 1440p as when I set up a custom resolution in the Nvidia control panel on my PC it worked fine, and the monitors OSD was reporting 1440p at 120Hz. Its also important to note that it works at 1080p 120Hz, and that resolution/refresh rate is listed in my monitors display modes table. I basically need to know if there is a way of adding additional preset values to the table stored on the monitor, because if there isn't I believe my options are to either hope Dell updates the drivers for the monitor and adds 1440p/120Hz to the table, or hope Xbox fully unlock the display settings allowing you to choose settings that aren't "officially" supported. I dont think either of these are likely to happen, so I fear I might be stuck if there is no way of solving this myself. I have spoken to both Xbox and Dell support, and they both ended up blaming each other, which I could see happening before I started this. I have attached an image of the table I'm talking about with the timings in-case I didn't explain it very well. Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks

Hello, I've recently upgraded my motherboard, CPU and RAM in my PC, and I'm having some difficulty troubleshooting this issue. I was able to change my refresh rate to 144hz before the upgrade, but since I've updated it I haven't been able to. My refresh rate for my 144hz monitor in NVIDIA Control Panel only allows me to go to 100hz, and when I enable 100hz it makes the screen look very pixelated despite being set to 1080p. I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling drivers, reinstalling GeForce Experience, Reseating my GPU, everything I could think of. I tried making a custom resolution and changing the refresh rate there, but the screen would just turn black and eventually go back to the previous set resolution after ~30 seconds. Hi everyone, I have been having this weird issue with my AOC AG322QWG4 monitor. I have a multiple monitor setup (running on 60hz monitors) but use my AOC for gaming. I have had a reoccurring issue (that seems to have no clear trigger) when my AOC monitor is set above 60hz. At random times it will suddenly show vertical lines and severe colour bleed on a varying extend (the higher the refresh rate, the worse the effect). The only fix for this is to set it back down to 60hz and after some random time period it will let me go up above 60hz again (time has varied). I have attached an image for reference. I have spent a lot of time playing with settings but cannot find anything that works. I have finally gotten so sick of it, and the lack of any information I can find regarding the issue, that I am turning to forums to try and find a fix. So I just got the pg278qr. I have the option to put it up to 144hz+ but when I did this is what it did (pg278qr is on the left sorry about the potato quality, don't have a lot of lighting in this room or a good smartphone) as you can see the display just shows two white and grey bars (sometimes it's different colors but it's usually two colored flickering bars) and nothing happens until I revert back to 85hz and under, then the display is normal again, after some playing around by some miracle it worked (no idea what I did, just restarted a few times and tried going between a bunch of different refresh rates then it just started working like magic) and I was at 165hz, after trying a game and reading some reviews, I decided I didn't want to OC to 165hz because of the ghosting issues. So when I stopped the game to put it down to 144hz it once again just stopped working (giving the same image result as above) and once again refuses to go over 85hz (without breaking the display) now no matter what I do. my specs are Windows 10 CPU: i7-4790k GPU: SLI 980 ti RAM: 16gb Not sure if more info is needed then that. I've tried completely disconnecting the second monitor, turning SLI off, running at different rates above 85hz, connecting monitor to wall outlet instead of power bar outlet, no dice. I just don't understand why it worked for the length of a game and now it's just gone. Is it because I have SLI cards, two monitors, something else? Anyone have any clue? I know that there's the whole Display Port 1.1 and 1.2 thing, but why would the manufacturer include a 1.1 cable with a 144hz monitor? And even so, if it's a 1.1 why would it work once by some miracle and then stop working. I might try to get a new DP cable tomorrow from a local PC shop, but I just don't think that's the issue. UPDATE: After some troubleshooting, if I enable 144hz while I'm IN a game, it works no problem, buttersmooth 144hz. But as soon as I leave the game or try to enable it just on the desktop with no game running, I get that issue posted above... What's that about? I guess I can turn it on when I'm in game then turn it off before I leave the game, but I'd rather not have to do that everytime, that and sometimes when I turn it off before leaving the game it just reverts itself to 144hz and breaks the display again.
