A while back, I created a thread regarding the fact that Noctua has updated their Redux fans frames, to allow compatibility with their Chromax rubber spacers. Due to the fan's cables getting chewed up by my friendly neighborhood mouse under the house, I had to order more. One of the fans in the order (I ordered three) was the old model, I also ordered a 120mm Redux fan which was the old model as well. The old models don't have the appropriate holes for mounting the rubber spacers. Which was something that I didn't even know. So clearly, there was some old models still floating around, and perhaps not all of the Redux lineup will get the new frame treatment. So I decided to ask Noctua themselves. I sent Noctua cooling solutions a message through Amazon, here is the response. Not the most informative answer, but now we know that the 120mm Redux fans will have the new frames as well, and that your chances of getting a Redux fan with the new frame will increase over time. While one could assume that the above answer means that only the 140mm and 120mm Redux fans will get the new frame, I decided to make sure. After all, it never hurts to ask. This is the response that I got. A little disappointing, but not terribly surprising. 140mm and 120mm are by far the most common PC fan sizes. I have purchased a total of 7 140mm 1500RPM PWM Redux fans, out of those seven, only one came with the old frame, and that was when they had only two fans in stock. I would say that those are pretty good odds, if you're not the gambling type though, just wait a couple of months, you're odds should significantly increase. As far as the 120mm Redux fans are concerned, i'm not even sure if the new design is even out yet. My first (and at the moment, only) purchase had the old frame, and i'm not willing to purchase more just to find out. Also, please be aware that different RPM variants may have different odds. The more popular the variant is, the quicker the old models will be sold. In time, all 140mm and 120mm Redux fans will have the new frame, and thus be Chromax rubber spacer compatible, until then, cross your fingers. Edit: It seems like the 120mm fans with the new frame is starting to come out as well.

I personally really like the looks of Noctua's redux lineup. Too bad they don't have any static pressure optimized 120mm variants.

Hello guys, is Noctua Redux 120mm 1200RPM PWM fan suitable for use on CPU heatsink or should i rather wait for classic NF-F12 in chromax colors? The thing is that Redux has a bit higher Air Flow but half the static pressure on NF-F12. Thanks!

Hi guys, so the question is pretty straight forward and in the title so i'll give a little bit of context here. I've finally got the pc and time etc to play this franchise that i've been looking forward to for years and a trully hard question arises : which version should I play? On forums it really depends, but it's really polarized. People either really love the original or really prefer the redux. Since people who prefer the original seem to be mostly players who discovered the game with the original i'm mainly looking for opinions from people who played redux first or both back to back to compare (but all opinions are welcome! ) thanks

I have a GTX 1070 and a 144Hz monitor, so my setup is capable of playing this game at more than 100 fps. Why does it when I max out all the settings I only get 45fps. I can only go up to 2x SSAA and get 60fps. It must be some line of code in game files that doesn't allow high fps.. Can somebody help me please?

hi, while searching for fans for my watercooling project i came across noctua redux fans, now i have a few questions about them: 1. what is the main difference between normal noctua fans and the redux series? 2. why are there no 120mm static pressure redux fans (and if the maybe come out does anyone know the eta)? 3. what are other good options for silent static pressure fans that don't look like poo? thanks in advance

So as most of you know I'm planning on getting a new set of fans for my case. I Came across NCIX US and saw they had a deal on Noctua Redux fans. Now Is it worth getting them ? I don't know anything about Noctua Fans so I need your honest opinions! Also how do they compare to the other Brand fans ? Please let me know! Thanks!

I hope you guys are aware of this since it's been on for quite some time. What is 'Metro Redux'? - It's the cash grabbing scheme of its developer in which you pay a significant amount of money for the same game that's been out there for a long time now. Honestly. So these guys, they said they've remade some parts of the game, 'improved' it in some way and some parts were really improved. Better PhysX and stuff. And I've seen it. You can check it out for yourself here - Metro 2033 Metro Last Light My thoughts - I've owned the original Metro games. I've played it. I enjoyed it. It brought a real good experience to me. But it replaced some thing deliberately - as seen in the first video. I for one, don't think it looks better, they've removed the feel it brought. It's supposed to be foggy. And what was that there? A medic from TF2? I mean really? It looks like simple and blatant cash grabbing to me. I know that some devs have done this too like the Tomb Raider whatever edition, and Deus Ex: HR - DC (this by the way, is sort of reasonable, they gave a fair price for it, really). But this is really too much. Metro 2033 had that horrible micro stuttering thing. It was a deterrent for me to play long hours, but I still finished and enjoyed it. They said it was built into the engine itself so they'd have to redo everything to fix that. Wow. I'm sure you guys know about CD Projekt, those guys behind The Witcher series. They've redone a lot of stuff for the first game and second game for FREE! and it really was a lot of stuff. Why can't these guys just do the same? If they value their fans, they'd do this kind of stuff. The devs behind the Redux have released a statement as to this a few days back. I didn't like it one bit.

So I have heard recently from various forums that the H100/100i series is very prone to loud pumps (over time) and pump failures. So I might not go AIO for my build I am working on. The CPU is a 3930K so I will be OCing. I did a little research and heard that Noctua was going to be released a Redux series of fans in black. Now I love Noctua as a brand and spec wise, but I utterly hate their colors. They are some of the ugliest fans on the market. Has anyone heard anything as far as release date for the Redux series? The reasons I ask if that if I purchased a nice air cooler and slapped some Noctua's on it I should be able to OC nicely vs potential failure on an AIO.

Hi Guys, I've been looking for parts for a new build of mine, and suddenly remembered about the Noctua's Project Redux, that was announced at CES this year. And I couldn't find anything about them, does anybody know anything about them? Whether they are still planned to be released or what? Because they look amazing! And it's Noctua.... what's not to like? (Apart from the colour scheme, in my opinion). Here's a link to Linus' video about them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7Y9dV0XX6s Thanks Guys!

I'm planning to build a water cooled PC (I know this isn't the place for that, just keep reading) and I want some good fans. I will not be building it for at least another 6 months so I also want fans for my current PC. I want to re-use the fans I get for my current PC in the water cooled PC. I want the fans to be quiet and I want to be able to adjust their speed so that I can speed them I up a bit when I'm gaming (or can some piece of software do that for me?). The fans I've been looking at the most are: Aerocool DS Blue LED 120mm Noctua Redux 120mm PWM I've also been looking at some corsair fans but I haven't looked too closely. What fans would give me the best performance and be the quietest? Thanks!

NCIX: http://bit.ly/1pV9NRM Amazon: http://georiot.co/1Xph Noctua's Redux line of fans brings their outstanding quality and technology down to a price that more people will be able to afford... But have they made too many compromises?

Seeking advice on whether this is a software issue or a hardware issue. Recently purchased a pre-built gaming PC. It's the "best" model from Redux whose specs can be found here. It's running on the most recent Windows 11 version. It's brand new out of the box. Nothing has been modified or touched. I already went through steps with their support team and they haven't been able to help me fix this. I'm genuinely stumped. The Issue: The internet works fine when I use WiFi. The Ethernet is defaulting to the lowest possible video quality and buffering. The Bluetooth randomly drops out (like if you muted the video) and comes right back in. No explanation. I set up the internet using a Cat 8 Ethernet cable. The cords are only a month old so there's no chance it's the cord. I was using it on my previous computer with no issues. My internet is a 1Gig plan which I've tested routinely during this. It's not my internet service. What I tried: Went into the Windows Troubleshooter and ran scan after scan. It detects no issues with the LAN drivers or the WiFi. It did detect a radio channel issue with the Bluetooth but it stated it fixed whatever that issue may have been. Still having the Bluetooth drops regardless. I went into the Device Manager and manually checked for hardware updates. None were listed so I eventually uninstalled the LAN driver and reinstalled it. That didn't fix the issue either. Even tried toying with internet settings and changing my DNS (tried both Google and Cloudfare). No fix. My last step which was today was I did a full reinstall of the OS. I had no real loss because the computer was so new but even after the reinstall the issue persisted. I'm at the point now where I think the issue is hardware related and related to the actual motherboard they used. The motherboard is the ASUS B660 Series | Intel The only reason I think it's hardware is both the Ethernet and Bluetooth are showing issues and that's the common denominator. I'm just trying to figure out if maybe something is simply in conflict and I'm not actually dealing with a hardware issue. (I hope) No one from Redux has been able to give me an answer and I'm running out of ideas beyond just returning it. I'm hoping one of you might have an idea of what I could try. I appreciate your help in advance. Edit: Ending up solving it through a random search. Turns out the Intel chips used in my specific computer do not work correctly with the IP6 prototols of my ISPs provider. I had to go into my network settings and manually disable all of the IP6 processes and the issue completely fixed itself. Honestly, frustrating as all hell but grateful I found the issue. The video in question I found:
