I've been struggling to find affordable PC components lately and could really use some guidance on upgrading my system or even building a completely new PC. I currently run an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core processor and a GTX 1660 SUPER graphics card, but I'm unsure if this setup is sufficient for video editing or if I need an upgrade. I'm having trouble locating budget-friendly components, and I'm not sure if my PC's performance is subpar or if there's room for improvement. Do I need to upgrade my CPU, GPU, or both to avoid bottlenecking? Additionally, I'm experiencing some issues with recording, and I'm not sure if it's related to my OBS settings. I generally don't push my game settings to the maximum, ensuring they are playable and the video quality is decent, but in some games, the recording quality still suffers. Can anyone offer advice or point me in the right direction? I'm open to suggestions and appreciate any help. Thanks a bunch!

Hello, I have a few questions. I currently don't know that to upgrade either it being my CPU or GPU to get better recordings. Because as of right now I can only record 720p60fps through my Xbox using elgato. I can up it to 1080p60fps through Premiere Pro. But it still doesn't look as clear. I currently have the Ryzen 3 3100 4-core Processor. For the GPU I have the Radeon RX 570 series. And I dont know which to upgrade to be able to record 1080p60fps without having to up it after editing. If anyone has any tips that would be appreciated.

So I want to eventually make a dual PC setup and with that I would Like to utilise my Motu M4's Line Out to send to the encoding PC's Mixer connected to it. I have heard this can work, But are there some things I should Know about this? Any previous experience related to this, would greatly help!

I'm trying to record footage from my Mac to an smb network share on my Windows PC (the share points to a hard drive) directly using OBS. The resulting video is extremely choppy and I suspect it has to do with the transfer rate. My PC features 2.5Gb/s LAN and I tried 1Gb/s LAN as well as WiFi 6 on my Mac. For reference, I am trying to record really high quality footage (1440p, 120 FPS, 130Mb/s bitrate). Recording on my Mac's internal storage works perfectly fine, so is there some way to automatically transfer my video files over the network when they finish, or maybe use my internal drive as cache? Or record to the network drive using some other protocol? One more thing I should mention is that I'm using NDI. So the layout is basically an NDI stream from my gaming PC to my Mac, the Mac does the encoding, and I want to send the footage back to my gaming PC's large hard drive.

So, I've been saving up to buy a new PC for a while and have roughly £1000 saved for it, i'll be mainly using the pc for gaming and recording for YT so I'm just looking for recommendations for graphics cards and what not I was looking at something like an OC 1660 but I'm all ears to any input. PS do I really need an XT for the the 3600, the price difference isnt too much from the standard 3600 so i'm just curious

Hello! I have a few questions and I hope that someone has an idea on how to fix this issue or maybe you can point me in the right direction. Issue: I am unable to get audio to the dedicated streaming/ recording PC - I am able to get video to the PC but I am unable to get audio to it. This is how everything is hooked up and it is possible that I don't have something in the right spot or I still need to purchase a piece of hardware to resolve this issue. PC 1 (Primary PC for gaming): I have two monitors for this computer (left monitor is using HMDI to DisplayPort) and the middle monitor is using DVI - Both of monitors are connected to my GTX 980 SC w/ ACX Cooling 2.0 Graphics Card From the graphics card (on PC 1) I have an HDMI cable going to an HDMI splitter and then from the HDMI Splitter I have it going into the Avermedia Live Gamer HD card in PC 2 NOTE: HDMI from PC 1 is going into the "input" slot on the HDMI splitter and then I have another HDMI cable going from the splitter "output" to the Avermedia Live Gamer HD "input" slot. Mixer (Behringer X1204USB Mixer): 1/8 (3.5mm AUX cable) from PC 1 "Line Out" on MOBO to line 5/6 on mixer: Stereo AUX Returns (duel 1/4 Inch TS Cables). Transferring over to line 7/8 on mixer: 1/4 Inch Duel Insert Cable on Mixer (Line 7/8 [AUX Returns]) to Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 "input" slot (left slot [1/4 TRS cable]) with the switch flipped to "Line." Focusrite Scarlette 2i2: First slot on Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 with a 1/4 TRS cable in the "input" slot. Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 then has the included USB cable plugged in (in back of device) and then it goes to PC 2 (plugged in at the back to the MOBO [2.0 slot]) Program being used to capture: OBS (Open Broadcast Software) I have installed all drivers (that I am aware of) for the following devices: Behringer X1204USB Focusrite Scarlette 2i2 (Focusrite-usb-2-2.5.1.exe) AVerMedia Live Gamer HD (RECentral + LGHD Steam Engine) Additional Note: I am using my Astro A40's in conjunction with the Mix AMP (est. 2013 Edition); I have the USB from the Mix Amp plugged in on PC 1, MP3 3.5mm AUX plugged into the speakers "input" on PC 1 (front of case). Hopefully this was fluent and it made sense and hopefully I provided enough information so that someone can assist me with this issue!
