I really wanted to get the System76's Launch keyboard, but it's unreasonably expensive as someone who lives at the hat of America. Is there an alternative that is Fully customizable on Linux Reasonably priced Macro keys (preferable) Can save settings to firmware (preferable) multiple profiles wireless option (optional) Also, I'm looking for one that's the same requirements as above, but also: low profile wireless with 2.4GHz dongle 65-75% bluetooth option lightweight Has to be compact as I'm planning on making this my Steam Deck's keyboard that I can bring with me.

Hey there everyone, I'm currently looking for a decent TV or Monitor which will purely be used with a Fire TV Stick and occasionally my Nintendo Switch when docked. I don't watch any regular Television channels, so I'm unsure if purchasing a Television would be worth it in the first place. Currently, I use a 1080p Philips TV from 2012 with 3 bright dots. I don't think trying to fix a 2012 TV that was considered "budget" back in that decade is worth it, haha. It doesn't need to be high refresh rate, low response time or anything like that. I will mainly use it to watch YouTube/Twitch at night and sometimes use my Switch docked (which I only play Pokémon and Animal Crossing on…). Some half decent colour accuracy would be appreciated. Does not need to be "smart" as I will use my Fire TV Stick Does not inbuilt-speakers as I will hook up external ones. As 80% of the time I use it as background ambiance like playing a 24/7 fireplace stream, something like "ambilights" would be cool but no needed. Being able to control it (volume & source input) is preferred. I live in The Netherlands. Requirements: Budget is 280euro Between 28 - 32 inch (larger won't fit) 50Hz+ would be great.. What do you guys think?

Budget (including currency): 1500 CHF Country: Swittzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will use it for Gaming. Games: Escape from Tarkov, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us Other details Im Not the Type of guy that needs the Best Grafics, I don't need Wifi or Bluetooth I was already making thinking of something like this: This would cost me around 1200 CHF I would just need a case and a 600-700W power supply. On pcpartpicker.com it has a warning saying: "The MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor with BIOS version 7C91vA7. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, updating the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU." Do i need to worry about this or is it an easy fix? Should i choose a diffrent Motherboard or change the Build entirely because its not good anyway?

Hey everyone! I’m looking to buy a gaming laptop for gaming + School. After some research I found that the best value for money option where I live happens to be the Lenovo Legion 5 with a QHD display and a RTX 3050 Ti (anything better than this is beyond my budget). Now this config is available with both an i5 12500H and a Ryzen 7 6800H at basically the same price, which CPU would you recommend performance and long term stability wise?

Currently i'm in the market wanting to upgrade my gpu and was wondering what I should be looking for. The games I mostly play are: Apex Legends Rainbow Six Siege League of Legends Black Desert Online Path of Exile I'm not really a solo player like games such as tomb raider, cyperpunk or doom. I was wondering if I would need to get a 3070 or if a 3060ti would suffice my gaming needs.

I'm currently using a 2016 15" Macbook Pro for work with 2x 4K external monitors (either configured as 2x 4K, or 1x 1080p (Macbook Pro) + 2x 1440p), and it gets really warm and throttles a lot with Teams calls, VMs, PCoIP (PC over IP), web browsing, etc. Any idea what would be the most ideal cooling pad that'll help cool down the Macbook Pro?

My current laptop is 4 years old and starting to lag where it previously didn't, which is getting frustrating. Since I'm graduating from university this summer, I have decided to get myself a new laptop as a gift to myself. Here are my current laptop specs (for reference, as I don't want to downgrade): Asus ROG G501VW Display: 15.6 inches UHD (3840x2160) Processor: Intel i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz RAM: 16 GB SSD: 120 GB HDD: 1 TB GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M This has worked well for what I use it for so far, which is programming, uni work, photo+video editing, having 20 Chrome tabs up at all times due to researching, and gaming. I mostly play League of Legends or RPGs (The Witcher 3 being one of my favourite games, although getting it to run smoothly on my current laptop required some annoying finessing with the settings), so not a lot of intense FPS games. For my new laptop, I would also like to do 3D-work (i.e. in Blender), which currently is a bit frustrating on my laptop as it has started to lag even when just using Photoshop. I have been looking around for a new laptop for a while so that I have an idea of what to get this summer, but I haven't found anything that sticks. So, I came here for help. Here are the things I want from my new gaming laptop: 15-inch screen with good resolution and colour accuracy (high refresh rate is less important to me since I don't play a lot of games which require it, most of my focus lies on accurate colours for my graphic work) I don't want it to look like a classic gaming laptop. This is my main point, because I don't want to feel embarrassed taking my laptop out at uni or if I'm seeing my thesis supervisor. Speaking of bringing my laptop to uni, I would also want it to be portable. My current laptop weighs around 2 kg, so somewhere in that area would be ideal. I need a lot of storage space due to everything I do, 1 TB at the least. It would be nice to have the option of buying a secondary harddrive to expand the memory, so if that's the case a giant base harddrive isn't as important. For my RAM, I would not like to go under 16 GB since I do do a lot of multitasking. When it comes to processor and graphics card, I am not that picky as long as it can handle multitasking and gaming. It would be nice if I could just launch a game and know that I can play it without having to spend ages in the settings. I don't need it to run at 200+ fps at the Ultra High settings, but a decent framerate at High is basically what I'm aiming for, so no need for the latest beefiest RTX model. I also need a good keyboard! Since I will be writing a lot for my thesis, plus programming pretty regularly, a good keyboard is really important to me. I understand that this is a lot, so I am willing to compromise a bit as long as the size stays at 15 inches and the laptop is sleek and portable! Unfortunately I don't have the option of getting a beefy desktop at home and then a simpler laptop just for uni. Thanks in advance everyone.

I am Juan, I am from Mexico. I am looking to save up to around US$1,500 to build a PC from zero, following up on linus' building videos and stuff got me super hyped on doing it because he makes it look so simple and easy. But anyway. I want a super powerful. I'll follow Windspeed36's Build Plan Thread layout: Budget: as stated, around US$1,500 Aim: be abe to run at decen FPS games like Far Cry 3, Crysis 2 and other high demanding games available, while mantaining space for upgradeability in the future (like I find another US$500 around the floor...). Would love to build it around Ryzen processor and a RTX 2070 or 2060 (depending on your experience on price to performance ratio and also the budget). Monitors: I just upgraded my TV to 4K Samsung so I would be probably gaming on that before I plan to shed more dollars on a HDR monitor or something like that. I know its not what I sould do as I think it does not support 144 mhz but... Oh well... Peripherials: Yes, I need recommendations on a nice keyboard and mice. That can be outside of the US$1,500. That would be only for the PC and nothing else... Or thats the plan... I was just looking at some razr stuff but I have no experience on that. My keyboards and mice have all been included in the PC... Why am I upgrading? I have a very nice HP Envy 17 with GeForce graphics but its from 2013. I just can't play Far Cry 3 nad stuff like that. Love it but it is just not enough in terms of processor and GPU (my unliterate tech self thinks so). Forgot to add: would be thinking on Windows 10 Pro or something like that. Thank you all.

Hi guys, im looking to get a new phone, somewhere in a mid-range price. I wanna compare it to my current phone so you guys kinda know what im looking for. I currently own a ZTE Axon (first one) And i like it,the screen is fine and battery is fine. I just have a few complaints The camera is very slow at taking pictures and the picture is usually quite blurish, and night photos are just bad, so i hope to get a better camera... The audio is soft, i prefer louder audio.. Otherwise, overall im pretty happy with the phone.. So basically, im looking for a phone that has Fingerprint sensor (at the back will be lovely) A good screen (least IPS and not overly saturated) 3-4gb of ram at least A long enough battery life to last me a full day without charge and having 20-30% when im home At least a camera that can take photos quickly (if im on a car for example) and have a clear image, and is decent at taking night shots, not too much photo noise Good and loud audio is important for me,not looking for exceptional.. I use ATH-IM02 from audio technica as my earphones. And i hope that it is about the same size as zte axon: 5.5 inch display, but if not, then im ok as well.. Im ok with some older models to consider. And thats about it, i never play games on my phone, but i use chrome heavily, as well as watch videos and go on road trips and i travel alot with my earphones around the clock, and i take a bunch of photos when i go on holidays/outings.. Which is rather often i guess. So I just want a phone to fufill those.. At a mid range price if possible, or maybe even on a lower end price, not looking to spend alot.. Thanks!

So, my old Corsair Vengeance headset's battery is dying making it unusable without being plugged in at this point. I currently have the PRO variant and bought this one after positive experiences with the older, plastic constructed one. The plastic construction broke apart after about 3-4 years of use with giant cranium, so over the past 6-7 years I went through two by wear. I am not opposed to buying a new Vengeance, but I am interested in purchasing something that can last longer. That being said, I am in the market for a new headset, but I really don't know the current market well. The headset I buy will be for general use such as games, music, and other media. I would prefer not to spend more than about $200-$250 on the high end. For audio equipment, the only thing I have is the onboard suite from the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard in my PC. Some preferences and requirements are below: 1.) Comfortably accommodate a large head (to give a ballpark, I'm 6'7") 2.) I would vastly prefer a microphone attached to the headset 3.) The genres of games I play are varied, but I do play a decent amount of FPS games including Rainbow Six Siege 4.) I tend to listen to hard rock or heavy metal (examples: Pathétique by Accept, Kiss of Death by Dokken, Stargazer by Rainbow, 747 (Strangers in the Night) by Saxon) 5.) I'm not married to wireless, but I see it as a nice convenience 6.) I prefer fabric construction over leather or faux leather If there are any questions you feel need to be answered before recommending something, please let me know. Any recommendations to supplement my own research are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I'm looking to get an he4xx soon and I heard that it would be good to get a dac/amp for it. I can spend around $100 on it but would really prefer to spend less. It'll be used for mostly music and gaming, I don't know if that affects anything though. Thanks for any help.

I am looking to get closed-back headphones around the price range of these headphones. From what I've seen these are the 3 best options, though I might be wrong. If anybody has any other suggestions for something around $130-$150, I would like to hear it. They'd the used mostly for music and gaming, and I'd rather not buy a DAC or amp right now, but if something sounds way better with one I can buy one in the future. Also, what's the difference in audio quality between these options and the HE4xx, an open back alternative in the same price range? Thanks for any help.

I'm looking to get a new monitor for both gaming and a workstation. I am mainly searching for a monitor that is IPS curved around the 34'' mark QHD since the size of the screen is big and i will need it for work more then gaming 144hz is a big bonus but not a must note first that availability and prices in my current residence is not that good(shipping is a bad option as well). However I did find a good deal on LG 34UC79, but i backed off when i found out its only FHD. I'm currently on the search for something like LG 34UC88 or 98 after checking some online reviews as they seem to be good monitors. What other models would you recommend to me in the specs i have listed? workstation is more important then gaming.

Looking to make the switch to a PC and lightweight portable laptop for school from my current MBP. What it comes down to is: Around $300-400 US 8 GB Ram Decent display 13” max Does this machine exist? It won’t have to run much, word processing and some streaming. Battery life doesn’t particularly matter to me but it’s definitely nice not being chained to an outlet. I don’t really want to go Chromebook but if that’s what I’m describing…

Hi all, I've been planing to build my first PC for a couple of weeks now. I've done some research on the components, but I'm pretty new to PC building, specs and all of that, so I'm not sure if the components I've chosen will perform as good as possible. This build will be mostly used for gaming/streaming (hopefully Halo Infinite and other FPSs), some 3D modeling (ZBrush) and illustration (Photoshop) and would like to have room for some overclocking. So my questions are: Which of these components would you change? Is the power supply an overkill? Do you have any recommendations, do's and don'ts? Thanks. Hi all, I have recently acquired an Evga 1080 SC from a family friend. My system currently has the following specs: CPU: I7-6700k 4.0GHz RAM: 32GB 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance DDR4 GPU: Evga 1660 super 6GB GDDR6 PSU: Corsair CX750M 80+ Bronze I have the 1660 super gpu overclocked to just under 2100MHz core and 7500MHz memory. Comparing online benchmarks of the two cards shows the 1080 SC to be better. As a result I'm not sure which of these two cards to run in my system. For context my pc is used predominantly for gaming and programming, I don't do any form of streaming or gameplay recording etc. Just wondering what the people here thought, I will soon be getting a test bench and I have spares of the majority of my parts so will build up another system there for comparison as well. Thanks!
