https://a.co/d/i0jzyfI im very sceptical about the price another psu I heard was amazing was https://a.co/d/2vpMcVE the prices are too good to be true right? the reviews are all good on them few misses but mostly good, is a good psu not supposed to be expensive or something? I would like a effiecient quality lasting psu. Anyone know any better or are these the cream of the crop for budget but also quality, thank you.

Budget (including currency): $300-350 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rainbow Six Seige, Valorant, Fortnite, GTA V. Just games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Faulty motherboard in existing build so using as excuse to do a light upgrade. Already Have: Vetroo V5 cpu cooler, gtx 950, micro atx thermal take case. Just need some opinions on if this build is good or not haha. Buying cpu for $135 second hand And buying gpu later on second hand. The prices arent accurate so thats why over budget

Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a pair of headphones with really good noise-cancelling, good build quality and decent audio under $500? Honestly don't know much about audio or headphones, but would greatly appreciate any recommendation for a pair of Headphones for $500 or less?

Budget (including currency): €800 Country: Ireland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General Home use Really easy one for you guys. Parents are looking to replace their laptop. It's for basic home use so no need for anything high end. Only used for internet, light work on MS office and some Netflix. Probably looking at medium/large screen size. Any recommendations?

Just wondering if we've reached a point where any SmartWatch offers health monitoring options that can justify it's purchase to an average healthy adult? If not when do you think this might become the case? I ask because I've seen recommendations for the Apple Watch that cite it's EKG feature detecting heart attacks and it's fall detection feature helping call for help when needed. Similarly I've also seen new articles about these kinds of smart watches helping predict Covid cases days in advance. The primary purpose would be things like flagging any health issues I may want to discuss with a doctor. Price isn't really an issue because even $1-2k is nothing compared to a doctor's visit.

Hi guys i hope you all doing ok. As the topic says i'm looking for a laptop around 1600-1800$ with rtx 3070, ryzen equipped with 120-144-165hz 1440p display if possible. I'm travelling a lot but it's with my car so in this case the weight and thickness isn't important. I'm looking for a really beefy boy as thick as possible with highest power delivery (if possible +130w is my go to) with good cooling and moderate display i don't care anything else like build quality or such. I'm not thinking to downgrade to 3060 in this price range. Thanks in regards.

Hi everyone, I am looking to buy a laptop for the first time and need some help deciding what to get. Currently I have PC that I built myself but I need a laptop for college. I'm looking to get something with a decently powerful gpu (2070 or 3060), 16gb of ram, and a 6 core processor. I would be using it for all my college stuff, video editing, and some gaming here and there. My goal would be to spend less than $1300 on it because that is roughly what I could get for my current PC. I am open to buying off of eBay as a lightly used or open box item as well. One more thing is that I do have two monitors that I would want to use to dock the laptop so the screen doesn't have to be super nice. I think the biggest thing for me though is that I don't want it to scream "gamer" with the appearance. There are a lot of good laptops with the specs I want but they just look big and bulky and not really for me. I am looking at the 2019/2020 Razer Blade 15 with a 2070 but that would most likely be a used item. Would this be a good option? I would really appreciate some suggestions as I don't know too much about the laptop world. Thanks!!

Hello, i always wanted an action camera to record some vlogs (outside strapped on my head) and reviews (inside still strapped on my head to show the product better). I currently have a samsung m31 and I'm using it to record videos and it will stay as a primary source of video, the second camera (the one you'll recomend me) will be used as a secondary camera shots (or if it's really good i'll swap). My only concern is that it should be sold with an head strap or atlest they should sell it (original or not it's the same). Thank you for helping me and sorry for bad English.

First of all, hope I'm in the right forum for this. I'm looking for a new cpu and mobo for my workplace. What I'm looking for in particular is something that can handle the stress of having a video games up and several other software's running at the same time, along with workload (editing & rendering, etc). My current cpu is Intel i7-7770k 4,20ghz, and my eyes currently at AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (although 5900x sounds a bit overkill to me). Finding the right CPU can definitely help out in a general direction for mobo's, but any recommendations on mobo's are also appreciated.

Hello, I own the Asus Zephyrus, due to LTT, and I am very happy with it. I remember it being really easy to decide and find it. I'm having a lot more trouble helping a friend find a gaming laptop for under $1000. He's going to college so I don't think he'll want something like the predator ( I know it's more than $1000) that weighs as much as it costs. The one I'm currently looking at is OMEN 15z-EN000, it seems to be a good deal, kind of ridiculous though given that the ROG Asus Zephyrus G14 that I own is just $100 more. My only real concern is that the OMEN says its graphics are integrated even though it says it has a GTX 1650 Ti. Can anyone else make a better suggestion for a gaming laptop, doesn't have to be like RGB and all that, just good for gaming. Preferably not a hunky gaming brick. I just want him to have the best, and the other computers I'm finding only have integrated graphics, I know you can do a lot with $1000 when building your own computer, but bringing it class to class is important. I'm aware that the OMEN is over $1000 he might not go for it, but whatever. Just try to keep it close to $1000. Thank you for all the help.

I have used a Scimitar for four years and after the second year of use the M1 button got so mushy that I can only press it when applying pressure to the very tip of the mouse. I am wondering if I just got a bad mouse or if this is a common issue with the Scimitar. I am looking to get a new MMO mouse, I don't really care about sensors or anything just buttons and durability. I would rather get another Scimitar since I am familiar with it but if it is a common problem for the mouse to get mushy I would rather find another one.

So I'm looking to buy a budget computer (Around 900$ Canadian) this Christmas. I don't plan on doing any over-clocking, but I'd still like to have decent ventilation. I don't care much for any fancy bells and whistles like RGB, aside from I'd like a transparent side panel, for both aesthetics and maintenance. I've already found DIYPC's Zondda, how-ever after watching the review from Gamer's Nexus, it seems like it's a horrible idea. Does anybody have any recommendations? Looking for around 100$ Canadian, but cheaper is better. Also, having easy cable management isn't a must but it'd be very nice. Specifics of the parts (If it matters): B450 mATX board (AM4), 1660 Super GPU, Stock CPU cooler (Ryzen 3 3100), SeaSonic ATX PSU (550 Watt 80+ gold), No hard drive, 1 TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD.

Laptop Recommendations For Engineering Student
joerp posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'll be entering college next fall as a computer engineering major and I'm currently looking at laptop options. I'm currently leaning towards the new XPS 13 Plus specked as follows: Dell XPS 13 Plus i7-1280P 32 GB RAM Iris Xe Graphics 2 TB SSD UHD+ 3840 x 2400 touch display I am concerned about a few things, mainly the lack of ports, and the ability of the integrated graphics to handle software like MatLab and Solidworks. I also haven't heard great things about the battery life, especially if I use a UHD+ display. Because of the lack of a dedicated graphics card in the XPS 13, I've been looking at the new XPS 15 but it seems like this comes with extreme battery sacrifices and will require an even larger hit to my wallet. I'm looking for a laptop that will be able to comfortably handle my workload for the next 4-5 years with a decent battery life that won't require me to be tethered to a charger and be reasonably portable. The Mac ecosystem seems too insulated and expensive for what I want, and a lot of the other high-end laptops in this price range seem like huge gaming laptops with terrible battery performance. I'm looking for something in the 2,000-2,5000 range including peripherals like USB hubs. Answers to these questions would be helpful in my decision-making process: Do I need a discrete graphics card to run engineering software or will integrated graphics serve me fine? Are there problems with the UHD+ display and battery life? Would opting for the FHD display be worth the sacrifice for battery life? How big of a sacrifice is only having 2 USB C ports? I've never had a personal laptop so I don't really know what my usage is. Should I be looking at larger laptops that offer more performance but have significant sacrifices with battery life and portability? -
I'm thinking of getting a razer blade 15 but I've heard some issues with reliability and a general dislike towards them. I'm curious if there are better options for a semi gaming/quick and dirty machine learning laptop I'd also like to be able to take this laptop places with me, so not a massive heavy laptop. 15 inches is what I think is the right size is for me. This is what I've been thinking of getting (nearly pulled the trigger): i7-11800H 8 Core (2.3GHz / 4.6GHz), 16GB RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3070 (8GB GDDR6 VRAM) for £1,916.99 (2327.86). https://www.razer.com/gb-en/gaming-laptops/Razer-Blade-15/RZ09-0410BWA2-R3W1 My budget is probably £2000 ($2428.66). Hope someone can say why razer blades are so disliked and what I should get alternatively.

I am looking to buy a wireless headset. First off I live in South Africa and pricing is just a mess here. I have a budget of around R 1500 (R1500 is roughly 100 USD) but can go up to R 1900. The top tech store here is wootware (http://www.wootware.co.za/computer-hardware/speakers-headsets-mics?dir=asc&order=price) and rebeltech (https://www.rebeltech.co.za/83-headsets?id_category=83&n=100). It seems that I am limited to two options, the corsair void wireless and the corsair h2100. I am interested in a pair of wireless headphones due to the fact that when I work I often spend long hours in front of the computer, occasionally moving away from it to look at class notes. I do this often enough that my current headphone's cable is starting to annoy me. I have seen several reviews for each pair online, but can't seem to find anything that compares the two. I have heard from some users that the h2100 has a bad sound quality while others said that it is fantastic. For the void wireless, some users say that it is uncomfortable when wearing the headset for a couple of hours (something that I will definitely do). Could someone maybe please recommend which of these performs best in terms of comfort, sound quality and battery life? (I don't mind disabling or particularly care about RGB)

My laptop has a 1TB SSHD that has got like 170GB free and a 250GB Kingston NVME m.2 that I won in a competition a while back, ordered the laptop with the £40~ SSHD to make the purchase cost cheaper from PC specialist, no SSD, no windows 10 = saving like £100 on windows and £150? on SSD. but anyway, 2 years down the line (GTX 1060 i7 8750H so still runs stuffs and will continue too hopefully) I've hit 756/931GB on the SSHD and 174/222GB on boot SSD and I want to shove a 2TB M.2 preferably drive into the second M.2 slot for game storage, and potentially copy all that 756GB (mostly steam and windows store games) onto the 2TB drive and using the SSHD as a windows restore/backup drive dedicated that I just forget exists until it dies or is needed as a backup point. I looked at the Intel 660p m.2, and specifically the video that Linus posted a year ago on it I'm scared on the 90 MB/s when it's full/cache is full but i feel this would still suffice for games, I feel that I'm going to get this drive to 1.5TB used quite quick and don't want to splash out on a 4TB M.2 drive I want to spend maybe £250-300 tops so anything is really open, obviously filling up a drive isn't the way to go but for gaming it can't be that bad surely. so would a single stack drive be the best for me? (the whole single NAND stacking thingy which i assume my EVO 840 probably is) one request. I had a Sandisk ultra USB that died after 2 years I had a Sandisk ultra SSD that died after 1.5-2 years I had a Sandisk ultra micro SD that died in my S8 after 1 year so don't recommend me sandisk, F em. I've had great history with that EVO 840, great history with my 960 EVO M.2 on my main desktop rig also. God i can't structure anything.. so have this TL:DR I want a 2TB or maybe 4TB? if I can get a good price, maybe £380/£400 M.2 SSD NVME or even SATA 3 that will do as a game storage drive, whats the best SSD to get, I want longevity) (I want longevity with ownership, my 2012~ £60~ Samsung EVO 840 120GB~ is still going with no "SMART" errors to speak of where a Sandisk ultra died after 1.5-2 years (2016 November purchase)

Hello everyone, I'm currently looking for a new gaming monitor with good white uniformity. I've already tried the lg ultragear 27gla850 (IPS) (2 of them), but both had very poor white/brightness uniformity (vingentting --> dark edges around the corners) and one had a yellow tint in the left corner. As I use it for studying besides gaming and it’s quite bothering to see when browsing the web or when using Word. I could understand why it’s the best for gaming, but that’s the only good point I can think of when it came to this monitor. Some may have had luck and do not have the problems I had, but I don’t want to try this lottery again. I can live with some ips glow as this is something that’s almost always guaranteed, but I can't live with poor brightness/white uniformity. I’ve also tried the Dell S3220DGF (VA), but this monitor had some degree of black smearing and had a freesync issue where, when you turn it on, starts flickering. Both of these were in the 400-500 euros range. I’m looking to spend somewhere similar, but 100 euros above budget is fine if this gives me the monitor I want. Thank you for your help

I've recently gotten into audiobooks and fictional podcasts such as Ars Paradoxica and Wolf 359. If anyone has one that they would like to recommend, I'd love to hear about it!

So yesterday I got in a fight to see what was a good setup, and now that i think of it its probably too much. I am just using it for gaming and editing videos, and probably make games in the process. My budget is at maximum $1000 (USD) If you would like i'll show you what i had in mind. (obviously its too much.) Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3-1600 UDIMM ASUS MAXIMUS VIII HERO with Intel Z170 Express ATX Motherboard Intel Core i5‑4690K 3.5 GHz Quad‑Core Processor WD Blue SSHD 4TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache CORSAIR CP-9020061-NA 750W MODULAR POWER SUPPLY Sapphire Radeon R9 390 NITRO Tri-X Graphics Card SanDisk Ultra II 2.5" 960GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDHII-960G-G25 Any computer case. Well. I do want a reccomendation for a case, the price is not included in the budget, though can it be under $50. Thanks

Hi there, total n00b here. My sister broke her old laptop recently and she's asked me to help her get a new one. Her budget is $400 and I've got no idea how to start looking. I could use a few recommendations from you guys and I'll work it out from there. She is looking for a brand new laptop, a standard one (don't want custom builds or anything like that), something she can get online from amazon or similar sites. tl;dr: Need a good laptop, Budget: $400. Recommend something? (Also, can someone tell me if this is the right forum to post this?) Thanks a bunch, you guys. EDIT: One more thing. She's not super into gaming, hence the not spending more money thing. It's mostly for internet and work, and Netflix.
