I mean, the title really says everything. I know there are some EVGA PSU’s that even Linus has used without 80+ ratings. (aka https://pcpartpicker.com/product/86M323/evga-power-supply-100n10400l1) Some people don’t trust a PSU if it doesn’t have an 80+ rating or ketchup and mustard cables, but I am here for a PC that can play some games, not fancy panty PC. So, should I trust one?

As the title says, rate the setup postet in the comment above you from 1 to 10 with a short rationale/explanatory statement and then copy & paste your own setup from your profile into your comment to get it rated. When rating, simply put the specs in the comment you are referring to in a quote to make identifying the system your rating more easy. Simple as that. (I guess its ok to start a new thread by now, because the old one hasn't had anybody posting in it for about five months...)

I've been on Virgin media's fastest broadband package for some time now and I'm fed up of their poor service and over utilisation problems that exist. Im currently paying for 152Mb down and 12Mb up. In the early morning (when few people in the area are using the Internet) I get a very reasonable 160Mb down and 11Mb up but in the evening, speeds drop to less than 5Mbs both down and up. I'm using a wired Cat6 Ethernet cable so the Wifi is not the problem. I contacted Virgin Media a few months ago and they acknowledge the issue of over-utilisation in my area. However, they keep delaying the review date and it's getting on my nerves. Who would you recommend I switch to? I've been looking at Zen Internet specifically because of their excellent support and also Plusnet because they seem 'OK' Any suggestions? Cheers.

Well apparently there are people who download the app just to leave a bad review against apple Only very few people have actually tried the app to move and rest of them are just negative comments about apple Please don't start a war. We're better than them Google Play link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.movetoios&hl=en Source: http://9to5mac.com/2015/09/17/move-to-ios-app-1-star-reviews-android-users/

The Chinese government enacted a plan to rate each and every citizen living in the country, last year. However, there was little reaction to this in China or abroad. Until Rogier Creemers, China-specialist law scholar at Oxford university published a complete translation of the planning outline. (similar to bills, in democratic countries) With loans and employment potentially being affected by your rating, the plan is intended to change peoples' behaviour and reward those who are seen to tow the line, both offline and online. This is some terrifying stuff. I suggest everyone read the whole article, and maybe skim the translated document if you're interested. I went to extra effort to find it because this sounded too crazy to believe Sources; (article) http://www.volkskrant.nl/buitenland/china-rates-its-own-citizens-including-online-behaviour~a3979668/ (translated document) https://chinacopyrightandmedia.wordpress.com/2014/06/14/planning-outline-for-the-construction-of-a-social-credit-system-2014-2020/ (official document) http://www.gov.cn/zhengce/content/2014-06/27/content_8913.htm PS: I guess I just lost five internet points

Did they remove the WEI from W10? I was curious if they had changed the numbering system for the hardware ratings but I can't even find it in the tech preview.

There are waaaay too many threads about Assassin's Creed: Unity right now so how about something else? Sexism and gender equality in gaming is a big thing these days. So big that the Swedish government is now investing 272,000 SEK (36,672 USD) into labeling games as promoting gender equality. This project was inspired by the Bechdel test. The project is far from finished though. Right now it is not even decided if the labels will be put on all games developed in Sweden or if developers will have to contact the authority, get their game tested and then be assigned a label. When asked if Anton Albiin thought focusing on diversity could harm creativity he responded: When the project is done (couldn't find any dates) we here in Sweden might see stickers on games saying "promotes gender equality" on games that promotes female characters. Similar to how you today can see ratings telling you if a game contains violence. Source: The Local My thoughts: I really really hope that it's based on the Bechdel test because that test is so ridiculously flawed and broken we would get some hilarious ratings. For example the game "Senran Kagura Burst" (a game where high school girls fight each other and have their clothes ripped off) would pass, but Minecraft would not. Games which are truly gender neutral will probably not end up not passing this test since they are not promoting female characters. Games like Goat Simulator which is as gender neutral as it gets (in terms of protagonists) would end up not getting the label because it is gender neutral and this project is about promoting women. This is why I am so against anything that is related to a specific gender. You can't say you fight for equality and then create a label specifically to promote one gender. Treating the genders differently (with things like this new rating) only creates more inequality, not less. This might also become a slippery slope. If one group see special treatment then other groups might want it as well. If women get a special label why shouldn't different races get a special label? How about a label that promotes Asian people? Maybe one that promotes homosexual people? I don't see anything good coming out of this. It's not a huge amount of money to invest for the government, but I am still kind of pissed that over 36,000 dollars of taxpayer money is being spent on this since I don't think it will lead to anything. Might as well have flushed the money down the toilet.

Hey Guys I thought linustechtips is missing such a topic so here it is! or ? The rules are easy: Rate the system that was last posted and leave info about your own system (and maybe some pics) to get rated by the next one. It would be advisable to use 1/10 as worst and 10/10 as best and maybe a short explaination why you rated that way. So i will start off. Here's my system: http://www.overclock.net/lists/display/view/id/4937798 i used that link because i already have a completely filled rig profile over there. this doesn't mean that you all have to link somewhere else. you can also just write down your specs and provide some pics.

Hello, so as a fellow youtuber with almost 200 subs (WOOHOO!!!) (just kidding) I need to record gameplay footage from time to time and I noticed frame inconsistencies while recording. I still get 120+ FPS, even while recording, but there is a noticeable stuttering, that makes all games hardly playable for me, especially competitive grade ones like Counterstike. The hardware is not the problem in the meaning of being not powerful enough (i7 3770k @4.6GHz, 16GB 1600MHz Ram, GTX 780, 4TB RAID 0 array for recording (300 MB/s write). As I am using a korean monitor overclocked to 110 Hz, I thought that might be the problem, but even clocked at a normal 60Hz and even with other monitors, obviously, it was less noticeable, as the shown FPS decreased, but the problem persists. I also tried different recording programs. Apart from the my usual Dxtory, I tried Fraps, Camtasia and Bandicam (captured/shown frames not synced in any application). Problem still persists. So then Linus and PC-Per with all their "framerating" "story" came into my mind and I wondered whether that might be the problem. I had 2 7970s a few month ago and it was worse back then, even whine not recording, but I would go as far as to say, that it was the same way/kind of stuttering that I have now. Unfortunately I dont have a THOUSAND GB of RAID 0 ssd to record raw data with a capture card and measure out the frames exactly, so I tried to record the monitor with my S4 (60 FPS camera). As this limits the amount of "data" of stuttering being noticeable while watching, I tried reinforcing the stuttering by using slow motion and upsampling it to 4k to get the better codec on youtube. It is only barely noticeable in the video, but it is there. I guess it is almost impossible to show a problem at 110 FPS with all 30FPS video and 60Hz monitor standards to a human eye, but I tried. I think its kind of sad, that we have almost never been utilizing the capability of your eyes while playing games for such a long time and we did not even know of these problems ... :( Does anyone of you have similar problems/experiences ? Do you just ignore it or not even notice ? Is there any software/drivers fix for that or does nobody even care about this problem ?
