Hey people I am thinking of building my first gaming pc and I would love to get some suggestuon or improvement in my build. I was going to buy a laptop as I thought I would have to frequently move cities but thought investing over a good PC might be more value for the money as I came to a decision to stay at my current place for atleast next 4 years of my college life. I am kind of confused to whether my psu would meet my power requirements and whether I can make a few compromises here and their and save a few money. And I am confused if the case I selected will be a bottleneck considering my AIO and if this build can potentially cause any future issues.Few questions I have are Will I need to buy windows separately and install it on my pc after build? If so then how do I do so? Is this build future proof? Am I blasting my budget on anything that's overkill or might not improve performance much if downgraded? . . . Help is much needed and appreciated.

This is just to see what y'all think about my PC. I just updated all of the parts. Originally I had an issue with a fried CPU. Then j found out the not only the CPU, but also the RAM and MB were fried too. This was due to a lack of proper cooling. I was using integrated graphics, but one of my friends sold me their GPU when i started the update. Lastly, after the update, I found out the the PSU was not strong enough to power all of the new hardware due to it being so old and the capacitors being weak. If I knew at the beginning that i was going to be building a brand new PC regardless, I probably would've gotten closer to current spec. However, since I started by buying a CPU that fit my old config, I ended up building the PC based on that choice as I found each new part that was fried. Unfortunately, I do not have an original picture. I transferred my photos to an SD card without backing them up and they all got corrupted. However, I will list the original parts. Original Parts (Pre-Upgrade): CPU: i7-6700K w/ integrated graphics MB: ASRock Z170 Fatal1ty Gaming K6+ CASE: Unknown, Generic mid tower. RAM: G. Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200Mhz 32GB CPU Cooler: DeepCool Air Cooler, unsure of exact model PSU: Rosewill Xtreme RX850-D-B 850W SSD: Samsung 840 Series 250GB HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (Father is a developer with access to all previous and current windows OS .iso files and product keys.) New Hardware: CPU: i7-7700K MB: MSI Z270 PC MATE CASE: Cougar Panzer Max Ultimate Full Tower RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2400Mhz 32GB CPU Cooler: Unchanged (For Now) PSU: Cougar GX 1050W SSDs: Original, Added SK Hynix Gold 1TB HDD: Original OS: Original GPU: MSI GeForce 1080 Gaming X 8GB I have a couple pics. I also added some cheap RGB fans from Amazon. They are run off of a controller with a remote, not aRGB. In total there are 7 case fans, the 2 GPU fans, CPU fan, and PSU fans cooling the system. Running the MSI OC scan and the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility stress tests has yielded a max temp of 75°C on the GPU and 70°C on the CPU. I also have added a Sony Blueray Drive that I harvested from an old HP Z800 Workstation. The last item in the second 5.25" bay is a hot swap bay for both 2.5" and 3.5" drives with 2 USB 3.0 ports that I use for data backup. The last card you see in the PCIe slots is a TP-Link Archer 6.0 Network card for Wifi conversion purposes. Hope y'all enjoy taking a look at my build. I had a blast with it and it runs circles around anything I've ever had, being that the newest dedicated GPU I have owned was a GeForce 220. P.S. Sorry about the slight messy carpet. I work on Caterpillar equipment for a living and my boots don't tend to stay the cleanest.

I started this build about 2 years about with a Ryzen 5 1400 and a RX 580 (pictures at the end). Derek has come a long way since then. Let me know if you have any suggestions for changes I should make https://pcpartpicker.com/list/mxNnXy Heres the original build

Hi All, I am posting a link to pcpartpicker.com with a list of all the components inside my RIG. I would like the public to rate my PC and let me know if I should upgrade or build a new RIG. I was going to build this same build but should I just stick with mine? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVs7i-wm5W0&t=603s Also if you all can assess the value of my RIG if I wanted to sell it. BTW the CPU cooler that I am using is the Thermaltake Pacific M360 D5 Hard Tube Water Cooling Kit. OK, so basically i dug up my parents old PC from the closet under the stairs to check what exactly did it have in it back in those childhood days of professor fizz wizzle and nitrome. And i thought i might as well share it with this community, i ended up with the specs below, and i want you to rate it and guess the price for this amazing piece of hardware from 2005 that i dubbed "the beast" (Sorry for no pictures i may provide some in a follow up post as it is not currently in my possession) Specs: - CPU: Intel Pentium 4 @ 2.8ghz locked (1 core, 1 thread) - GPU: ATI Radeon X300se, 128MB DDR VRAM - MBD: Unknown, i couldn't find out what this was but by the look of it it seemed to be made by dell specifically for this PC - PSU: 460W Cooler master, probably the most expensive thing in the whole system - RAM: 2x 256MB DDR2 sticks @ 400mhz (Total of 526MB) - Storage: 1x 95GB HDD @ 3200RPM (OS) & 1x 135GB HDD @ 3200RPM (general storage) - OS: Windows XP - Case: Dell, made for this PC - Other: 2x Optical drives, (one is broken as i remember trying to run Lego Indiana Jones on it)

Hello! This is my first PC I ever built, I was working in a very tight budget but it works and looks kinda decent, I'm looking for ways to improve the looks of my PC since it looks kinda ugly. Specs: Intel Core i3 9100f Asus Prime B365m/a MSI GTX 1070 Adata 2x8GB @ 2400mhz Adata 480 SATA3 M.2 SSD EVGA 500w 80+ Corsair Lightning node + RGB strip Cheap 120mm AiO Sirius Loop 120mm RGB Cheap Chinese ATX Case VictSing Mechanical Keyboard Corsair Ironclaw Wacom CTL-480 (Does the Macbook Counts?) The cost I've spent was around $230 dlls since the CPU and GPU were donated to me I'm planning to buy some white PSU extension cables and maybe a White Corsair 220t Airflow Since the GPU red PCB is kinda ugly I am also looking into 3D printing one backplate using ABS or lasercutting acrylic to fix it.

Rate my setup! Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 AF Motherboard: Gigabyte B450-DS3H GPU: Radeon Sapphire RX580 4GB I deeply regret this one by the way. The GTX 1060 would be a much better choice. The support for Radeon cards outside of games is outstandingly bad. RAM: Crucial Ballistix (2x8GB) 3200Mhz CL16 PSU: FSP Hyper S 500W SSD: Kingston 480GB (System, some games) HDD1: Seagate Barracuda 2TB (Games) HDD2: Seagate 500GB (Personal files) Case: I don't even know. The cheapest I could find about 4 years ago. Ripped out half of the HDD "tray" to fit another GPU that was too long. Don't even have the side panels anymore, basically a test-bench.
