source: http://wccftech.com/amd-gaming-evolved-app-raptr-no-longer-supported/ via: http://www.anandtech.com/show/10752/amd-discontinues-gaming-evolved-app if you didn't notice, for about a month now, AMD stopped bundling the Gaming Evolved app with their Catalyst drivers package WCCFTech reached to AMD for a comment: the exact reason for this is not known, but if you liked it you can still get the app from Raptr's site: http://raptr.com/amd one other thing that comes to mind is that AMD has/had an ongoing issue with Raptr' overlay, for a very long time it was marked as unsolved in AMD's driver's release notes --- I had bad experience with this app requires log-in it was a pain to remove (back then)

so im torn between amd and nvidea gpu's. once I pick a side, there's no turning back. so nvidea has the gforce experience application that includes shadow play which allows you to record, stream, all while still playing your game. This was a major factor in my decision in amd gpu vs nvidea gpu. so I set out for an equivalent of shadowplay for amd's side, and i found it. introducing Raptr! (Grammar mistakes are what the cool kids do now) nvidea's answer to the gforce experience, it has built in game recording, streaming, and even a rewards program! anyways, i was wondering if anyone has used raptr and can say that it's good enough to compete with shadowplay. I'm wanting an Amd gpu but this is one of the things that's influencing my decision , any good reviews of raptr?

Hi I wonder how how to make Raptr GVR show my Rivatuner on-screen display(it shows CPU, GPU & RAM usage), I kinda need to have that on my recordings to but that is not showing up on my recordings so now I am very confused... What I want it to do: Battlefield 1 Beta: Athlon X4 880K + GTX 960 Gameplay ShadowPlay (05-09-2016) - YouTube The pink text in the corner! (it shows CPU, GPU & RAM usage) What I get: Overwatch: Intel Core i7-4700HQ + GeForce 840M Gameplay Raptr GVR (06-09-2016) - YouTube Note the tiny white one is Overwatch own counter not Rivatuner...

can "old" GeForce cards use Raptr to record video ? (just curiosity) (i use it at 20mb/s do the job very well on my A10 machine) (and a green friend ask if a 8800 card can run it)

Hey all, I started wanting to record some of my gameplay in BF4, but for some reason none of my screen recorders are able to capture footage. I've tried the free DxTory trial, XSplit free and AMD Raptr but none of these applications work with it. When I launch these programs and go in game, the HUD in the top left corner doesn't appear like it should. XSplit told me to disable Origin in game, but after doing that still nothing works. I thought the Raptr might at least because BF4's an AMD title but nope. I am running the mantle API in the game, could this be the reason why? Thanks in Advance.

Hello! I have a problem with my Radeon graphics card. The drivers will uninstall themselves upon reboot. Not to mention that the windows Aero transparency will not work on my taskbar, and Garry's Mod jumping from 0 - 150 FPS rapidly and me running like sonic the hedgehog around servers, which indeed gets me banned. I've been coping with this for about a week now, but I NEED to find a fix. Things I have tried: Making sure Catalyst or Raptr dont run on start Using display driver uninstaller to wipe it all clean and then reinstalling the drivers Specs: AMD FX 6300 CPU Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB With Boost & OC HyperX Fury 8GB @ 1833 Mhz WD Caviar 1TB HDD Antec VP450 PSU AsRock 980DE3/U3S3 Mobo

http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/GDC-15-Intel-and-Raptr-Partner-PC-Gaming-Optimization-Software Good to see Intel getting some of the extra bonus features that AMD and Nvidia users have available. This will be useful for the sizeable chunk of casual gamers on notebooks who never update their drivers and don't understand graphics options.

Hello, fellow enthusiasts. I hope you're doing well. My system keeps crashing when I play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with AMD Gaming Evolved enabled. I'm forced to CTRL+ALT+DEL my system and shut down the game process. If AMD Gaming Evolved is not running, though, I manage to get a rock solid experience with the aforementioned game. CS:GO is a game that Raptr has certified as being compatible with its in-game overlay, but it's far from being usable since it keeps crashing my game. My system can withstand a 24-hour stress test running FurMark and Prime95 simultaneously, but sometimes it takes just 10 minutes before my CS:GO hopelessly crashes. Here's what I have tried: a) I've tried using Catalyst 14.12 instead of 15.7. It in fact explicitly installs an extra package of stuff meant for AMD APP and video capture that doesn't show up on 15.7's setup. I've read on OBS forums that the removal of that made Raprt issue a patch since theirs and every other software that relied on AMD APP for gaming capture started to have problems with 15.7. Nothing changed. B) I've tried using only Plays.TV's beta client (even though it looks like it's almost completely integrated inside AMD Gaming Evolved). I thought it could be a problem with the Raptr-Plays.TV hook up, but Plays.TV's own standalone software behaved in the exact same fashion. c) I've tried using Mirillis Action as an alternative. It worked flawlessly as it managed to record a 12-hour GOTV broadcasting session without crashing. It only stopped and closed the game because it hit the 12-hour mark (and I can't choose more than that for the maximum video duration, at least not in the trial version). Except for that weird behaviour (since I expected it to just shut down the video capture without closing the game), it worked well: it managed to actually capture 60fps on the 1080p, full quality setting, something that AMD Gaming Evolved / Raptr / Plays.TV was failing to achieve regardless of crashing. But there are two main issues: Mirillis Action is not free software and the performance hit was huge, way beyond the supposed 10% of an AMD APP recording solution. d) I've tried even underclocking the card to the reference design clocks, since this Sapphire Dual-X is a slightly factory-overclocked card. Nothing changed. e) This is the second motherboard I'm using while having the very same problem. I've changed it because somebody I know wanted an LGA 1150 system and I took the opportunity to make a deal and get a more well-featured motherboard, but the problem persisted. The first motherboard was an ASUS H81M-A/BR. Sapphire's Technical Support told me this: But I'm not sure my retailer's technical support will be able to reproduce the issue, since it might be kind of software (driver) related. I'd love to find an easy, replicable way of determining it's a hardware issue that involves only free software/games and that I could instruct my retailer's RMA department to reproduce, otherwise they'll just send me the very same card back if they're unable to determine it's a hardware issue. I'm yet to try playing a different game for longer than the 2 hours I've spent with Diablo III, since I remember playing CS:GO for longer than 3 hours with no crashes. If I manage to get a crash in a different game, that will be a huge thing in this troubleshooting process. Any good F2P game suggestions other than Team Fortress 2 and DOTA 2 (which are both Source Engine-based just like CS:GO) and League of Legends (which I just can't stand) that I could use for this troubleshooting process are welcome. Do you guys think I should try "extreme" things like flashing the motherboard and/or video card BIOS in case any updates are available? Any other ideas? P.S.: In case you're wondering why I'm not using a Dual Channel Kit, it wasn't available at the time of my purchase and due to an online discounted offer I could not purchase 2 of the same modules (it was a one-item-per-customer kind of deal), so I was forced to purchase different heatsink colors for the same module. I took the risk and decided that if MEMTEST86+ failed I'd return the modules and wait for a Dual Channel Kit, but that didn't happen and I happily enjoyed the discounted price for a couple of cool, different-colored versions of the same memory module. Thanks for your valuable time.

Hey guys. Amd recently launched some new features for their Gaming Evolved Windows program. One of those is game recording, similar to Nvidias Shadowplay. I recorded some gameplay with it and it worked just fine. I set it up to record at 1080p, 50Mb/s. It outputed a h.264 encoded .mp4 file, that I could watch in VLC without any problems. The issue is, that if I import the file into Premiere Elements 12 to cut it together for Youtube, it only imports the audio. I tried several games and several different settings in Gaming evolved and it was allways the same result. I then converted the original Video to a mp4 h.264 and that worked in PE without any problems. Does somebody know a fix for that in either Gam.Evo. or PE? Thanks

I didn't know Raptr even existed until the AMD GPU 14 event yesterday. I'm sure the same applies to quite a number of members here as well. Note: I kind of feel like this should be in General Discussion... oh well. So what is it exactly? From what I can tell it functions similar to Steam and Origin in that it provides users with an in-game overlay for things such as friends and achievements. What's different here is that Raptr will keep track of what you do in game and reward you with items such as DLCs. These rewards are based on what ranking you achieve in each game, which I presume would be based on how many hours you played. In-game applications allow users to access various websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc. without leaving the game. Raptr also has a built in streaming feature (although how effective it is, I am unsure). As far as networks are concerned, Raptr combines players from multiple platforms (PC, XBOX, PSN) into one to provide a (kind of) uniform gaming experience. In addition, Raptr appears to be able to optimize one's game settings in a similar fashion to "one-touch overclocking." The UI brings up a slider with three positions, each with its own "optimized settings" and users simply select which tier of performance they prefer (though I like tweaking the settings on my own, but that's just me). Personally, the community features and in-game applications are appealing to me. Aside from the initial hiccups with registering accounts and properly recording game data, I think this could be really beneficial to the PC gaming scene. Unfortunately, my work load for this semester is starting to ramp up so I probably won't have much time to play around with Raptr. Interested in giving it a try? So i was playing some BF4 and after i quit raptr asked me to optimize my settings for the game, so i said yes. After this my FPS was considerably lower, and i had no idea why. So it turns out that my CrossfireX was disabled for some reason, and i was only running one card. Do you think this has to do with raptrs optimization, does it have to do with something else and has anyone maybe experienced the same issues?

Has anyone seen this before? I just installed AMD's 13.11Beta8 drivers that were released on the 30th and it came with the Gaming Evolved Center which i'd imagine is a bit like nVidia's GeForce Experience. As far as i can tell though it hasn't got many games that are available to be optimized (the only one on my list at the moment is Dota 2 but i'd imagine BF4 will show up once i finish downloading it). http://blog.raptr.com/2013/09/25/introducing-the-amd-gaming-evolved-desktop-app-powered-by-raptr/

I would like to recommend a great new game... Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. This has become my sons new favorite game after years of Minecraft. This is his 1st YouTube video on his brand new channel. He made this video on his homemade pc using the basic AMD Gaming Evolved Raptr screen recorder... I'm very surprised of the quality! Anyways... this is a great game for children, and it is so fun that I even bought a copy for myself. If any of you gamers here have children, try this one out... it's an awesome game for the family. If you, or your children enjoy his video, please like/subscribe/comment on it and he will be happy to make more for everyone to watch. For a little kid... he straight up killed it on his 1st video!!!

Cyril Kowalski over on TechReport has posted an article saying that the Gaming Evolved app by AMD, their equivalent of Nvidia Geforce Experience, now has "Game DVR." It allows you to record gameplay and stream gameplay to Twitch. This is great! I'm building a rig for a friend this fall for game streaming, and I was going to recommend a more expensive Nvidia GPU, but now, I have no qualms recommending AMD. AMD's feature parity just keeps on growing. Considering this feature is available on the Xbone and PS4, I guess it was inevitable. Now, AMD, work on your CPU side; the industry needs you firing on all fronts. http://techreport.com/news/26668/gaming-evolved-app-adds-video-recording-challenges-shadowplay
