Hi! Every so often my screen goes blank, than comes back like nothing happend. No windows sound, nothing in the event log (that I could find but I might be looking in the wrong place), nothing during furmark and never during gaming. I tried to wiggle my HDMI cable to see if it connects, switch out my HDMI ports on the monitor, Windows 11 fresh out of the factory, nothing overclocked nothing overheating. Something is certainly wrong, just not sure if it's the GPU or display I managed to capture this with my phone camera. Any good diagnostic advice to help with troubleshooting? Thanks! error.mp4

(Sorry for my bad English I'm not native) Just began happening recently, was playing Lost Ark (or I would if I could get through the queue) and It froze up on me. I restart pc and played the game for hours on end and randomly froze again. Doesn't just happen when playing, have had it happen when I was watching youtube/twitch etc. Specs CPU : Ryzen 9 3900X GPU : MSI GTX 970 Mobo: Asus Prime X570-Pro Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200MHz C16 2x16GB PSU: SeaSonic FOCUS Plus Gold 850 (SSR-850FX) OS: Windows 11 build 22000.527 Storage 2 generic 1TB HDD Corsair Force MP600 500GB (CSSD-F500GBMP600) OS Drive Seagate Barracuda 4TB (st4000dm004) Stuff I've tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth sfc /scannow Chkdsk /r on all drives, one of the drives had a bad sector and have ordered a ssd to replace it. Have done Chkdsk /r /f C: no problem found. have removed all the drives besides the C: and still freezes Updated bios. Checked each of the Drives with HD Tune and nothing is Damaged. . The event viewer is awfully quiet for some time until it sends out "The Operation system started at system time xxxxxxx" after 4 minutes of no activity, I think this is what steamrolls my pc into freezing. A couple of lines higher an error says "The previous system shutdown at 17.18.16 on 19/02/2022 was unexpected." which isn't true since I actively used the computer at that time period. I think the pc then tries to start up normally an encounters an error which produces the "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation." in event viewer. it then loads some FIle manager stuff, and check if the volumes are healthy. Now we've reached the final event before the crash complaining about "SystemRoot\SysWow64\drivers\AsUpIO.sys failed to load" (have tried uninstalling the sus drivers to fix it but no cigar. and then the critical error "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.". Don't know which logs to include... Thanks for any kind of help you can provide. Best regards.

Hi, No matter what game I am playing may it be GTAV, RD2, or even HoTs the PC randomly crashes following up with restart back to the login screen. No BSOD or message to say what happened before hand. Each day I play a game it crashes and this has happened 7 times now. I've tried updating to the latest OS (Version 20H2), reset my PC with my 3 HDD's disconnected because they contain all my games and 3D modelling stuff, update my GPU to the recommended drivers, placed my power settings into balance mode, cleared any dust in the PSU filter and finally my BIOS settings are default. My PC temps are fine too. 15 minutes ago I was playing HoTs and the PC crashed. I thought maybe if I tried disconnecting a fan connected to a splitter that would resolve something, idk. I've attached two Event Viewer crash logs. One before Windows reset and one after. Specs: CPU: i5-9600K 3.70ghz GPU: AMD Radeon RX5700 PSU: EVGA 600W HDD: 3 SSD: 1 Fans: 3 (One disconnected for testing) RAM: 16GB After Windows Reset - Crash1.evtx Crash6.evtx

Hey everyone, I’ve got a problem that is driving me insane, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I’ve build my fiancee a PC in November 2021, and at the beginning everything was working fine. However in the past 2-3 months her PC start acting up, in the way where it randomly shuts down while watching Netflix, or writing a word document, browsing on the internet or even when idling. The problem is that is not like a normal shut down, as the Mother board light is still on, ram lights are still on, and the power button is still on. I thought it might gone into sleep of hibernate mode, but nope. Keyboard is off, same the mouse, doesn’t matter what key I press or how long I’d try to make it wake up. The power button light is on but when pressed is not responding nor do anything even if I hold it pressed for, same apply to restart button. The only thing that makes the PC to turn on again is to switch it off from the PSU button and than back on, and then press the power button. Once I’ve done that everything its running normal again until it randomly shuts down again. It doesn’t make any sound or beep, it just simply shuts down. I’ve already disabled hibernate and sleep mode but it makes no difference. The problem is still the same. Here is the list of parts I used in this build. AMD Ryzen 9 3900x Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Nvidia MSI RTX 2070 Super 8GB Asus Prime X-570 Pro Corsair VENGEANCE PRO 2x16gb 3200 Mhz Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 Corsiar RM-750w Ubit WiFi Card AX/AC WiFi 6 Dual Band with PCIE Bluetooth 5.0 Corsair iCUR 4000x RGB Windows 10 Home 64x Please, can someone help me with this. Thanks in advance! Regards, Paul IMG_6290.MOV

Hi, I got a Bose soundbar 900 and I am having an issue where the sound will sometimes just go fuzzy on the voices and noises, they are ok and can be heard fine but you can hear a trailing fuzzy noise on all sounds. It can last seconds or minutes. I tried all their troubleshooting steps and none worked, I sent it back to Bose and they tested it and reported that they could not find an issue. I was on to them again yesterday and tried some more things but still no luck. Would anyone have any idea on how to fix this. Setup is as follows: - LG CX OLED - Bose soundbar 900 - Connected with HDMI earc ports - Sometimes use Sony UBP-X700 (Issue occurs more often when using this than just watching Netflix on TV with soundbar) Steps I have tried are: - Changing HDMI cables - Turning off all lights, and devices around the tv and soundbar in case of interference - Turning off the CEC on soundbar unplugging it waiting a minute plugging back in and turning back on CEC - And just playing with different settings. It anyone has any idea on how to fix this issue it would be gladly appreciated. Thanks

So, I have a normal PS4 aka slim, that causes me headache over the last few weeks. It randomly shuts off, I've tried reinstalling it from zero, it worked... for a while, then it happens again. I tried reinstall it the second time, it just simply won't comply. I tried plugging it straight to the wall to no avail. I thought to myself it could be just a bad software, but further on I start to think that it could be a hardware issue. Can anyone help? Since I have never had a PS4 before.

Hi, So my problem is that my PC runs fine until it randomly starts to stutter extremly and it feels like 2 FPS. This mostly happens when i'm gaming (Overwatch) but it can also happen outside of the game (the game is unplayable and youtube is not enjoyable). I also noticed that besides the stutters the framerate also drops down to about 100 FPS (normally I reach the cap of 160). Also the audio (in game, spotify and even when i'm watching youtube) has those really weird and annoying stutters. After a while it'll just go away but most of the time i just restart my pc and its fine. Now what have i done for troubleshooting? Every possible thing i could. I even did a clean fresh windows install. I updated every possible driver I could. I checked if the CPU clock speed is normal (my ryzen 5 2600 runs at 3.4Ghz) and it was. I reset my BIOS settings. My windows is up to date. I also ran CCleaner multiple times. Nothing helped and now I'm stuck. And also I don't have much experience since this is my first PC build (from 2018). The specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, Nvidia GTX 1070Ti, 16 GB RAM @2666MHz, 1TB Kingston Nvme SSD, Aorus B450 M Honestly I think (since I even did a clean new Windows install) that it's a hardware problem. Maybe the CPU is damaged or something like that. Or maybe the Stutters appear when the cpu reaches a certain temperatur (I'm using boxed cooler from amd). I attached a video of some gameplay with the stutters and I know that it doesn't look that bad but it really is. And the audio makes ut way worse. If you have any questions please ask them. Any help would be appreciated. Thx 20201106_132633.mp4

After a lot of testing i figured out that whats causing my pc to hang always at startup after or during the windows chime and than randomly throughout the day is something in my storage HDD. I have done a Microsoft error check with no errors found. I am hoping there is a way for me figure this out that doesn't involve loosing all my media. Testing done: Booted up in safe mode no issue Booted up with just OS SSD no issue Booted up with all drives except HDD no issue Booted up with replaced empty HDD no issue Booted up with Current setup issue Booted up with OS SSD and HDD issue Booted up with other sata cable and power cable from a different drive issue

I'm on ethernet and occasionally my internet cuts out for a few seconds and then comes back online. Some days it happens quite frequently and some days it doesn't happen at all. When it cuts out, the network icon on the taskbar shows that it is disconnected. I have tried reinstalling my network drivers and updating my BIOS. I also tried plugging my PC into a different port on the router. My brother says that he doesn't have this problem, although he sometimes gets lag spikes. We also recently moved house, and this problem didn't occur at the old place. My router is the Huawei HG659. My motherboard is the ASRock Z270 Extreme4.

So recently my computer has been having a weird seemingly random problem and I can't figure out why its happening or what I could have possibly done to let/make this happen. So before I get started just to let you know it is plugged in by ethernet cable to the modem as well as one other computer that does not have this problem. So recently my computer seems to be losing internet connection, kinda. It seems to be randomly after a certian amount of time of the computer being on sometimes a few hours sometimes 2 days, kinda looses it's connection. My TeamSpeak will stay connected and still allow me to talk and listen to people and my steam shows me still connected but if I try to play a game it can't connect, and most/all web pages won't load. Most of the time YouTube will still work and load and allow me to watch videos but Google won't and just says "page cannot be reached." After this happens it seems to be fine if I restart my PC Anyone got any clue? It's happened at time of this post so if fast replies I can try stuff while it's kinda lost connection. Thanks in advance

Hi, my PC keeps turning off (not with proper shutdown but just turning off instantly and randomly) and then coming back on. My specs are; FX-8350 Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 R2 GTX 780 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 120GB SanDisk SSD/2TB WD Blue (I think) AeroCool Integrator Mod XT 750W Nothing is overclocked. Is there any software I can use to find out what's causing it? Or would I have to physically replace components to see what's wrong?

So I was gaming last night and my nvidia drivers crashed and froze my PC. After I reset my computer my video card would keep losing signal. The pc stays on and active in programs. This even happens in BIOS. I've tried DDU in safemode, ive tried resetting cmos, ive tried updating all drivers and bios drivers..... I have no idea what the problem is.... even when I use onboard graphics and I have the video card in the PCIe slot nvidia will still be able to identify the card and install drivers. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated, actually considering a reward just so i can rest my brain because it is bothering the shit out of me.

Hello. Recently i grabbed an old external hard drive, took it out of it's case and put it into my pc. After that, my pc shuts randomly off, no matter if i am gaming or just browsing the web. The hard drive is not new and it DOES have >1000 bad sectors. I used HDD Regenerator to repair them but it still keeps shutting off. It is starting to annoy me, before installing the new HDD everything was fine. Any suggestions what should i do with it? I also don't think that is thermal-related, because the drive sits right behind a fan and has even lover temps that my main SSHD. Recently my PC has been randomly starting to make loud grinding noises. This usually happens in the mornings, (after a long time of being off), but also sometimes happens later in the day as well. I opened the front of the case, to try to see if anything was in the way of fan blades, but all of the fans that I can see are fine and working properly. I started to listen to try to find where the sound was coming from and soon found out that it was coming from the area around my power supply. I am positive that is where it is coming from, but I am not sure what to do to remedy this. I am also not sure if it is the fan inside the PSU that is causing the noise. It is in my budget to buy a new PSU if that is needed. I usually play high graphical games on my PC like PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, and such. The noise usually happens shortly after boot up. I turn it on, it starts making the noise, I turn it off. This continually happens until the noise finally does not come back and It stays away for the rest of the day usually. The link below will take you to a video of the loud noise I experience. I appreciate any possible help and solutions to overcome this problem. Thank you! Copied and pasted from template I recently got a 3 tb seagate hard drive from a friend. It worked perfectly at first. No problems what so ever. Fast forward a few months and now the drive is disconnecting randomly* and I need to fix this Windows 10 Pro x64 All Games (this is a dedicated games drive) Nothing crashed directly but anything that has to access this disk will randomly fail and as a result no games will load What I've discovered: *The drive crashes after a long period of use If the computer is powered down completely the drive works fine after that According to Speccy, all SMART checks say Good but the status is Warning My current theory is that something isn't handling the disk right and as a result the buffer is getting overflown. This would explain why a complete loss of power is the only thing that fixed the drive. But the smart warning makes me really nervous I don't have the money to buy another drive so I really REALLY need to fix this if I can.

So I have a problem that has been troubling me for months. My machine will randomly turn off when I am not using it, web-browsing and one time while gaming. Hello, so my main headphones broke down, and are now for approx. 4 weeks in repair. Now I have to use my old apple ear buds. But there is some wired issue with them, that they randomly turn on and off the music, or start Svoice.. btw. I´m using them on my s5, on the pc it is obviously not a problem. Any recommendations what i could do against it, maybe an app or so that disables inline remote??

Hey guys, I have finished building my first pc recently any I have just started having some issues that are concerning. My computer will randomly crash and boot up again. It seems my headphones loose power first with short bursts of power going through it then my monitor looses power and soon after the whole pc. after a little bit my pc starts up again like normal. The process is very similar to when my computer restarts. My headphones are plugged into my usb ports, I have also had issues with my wireless mouse loosing connection randomly sometimes. I don't use the usb slots in the front of my case so its all hooked up to the pre-installed mobo ports. I have also earlier received a warning on this forum about the psu being horrible quality. I have the EVGA 500W Power supply. If you could help me figure out what component it is that would be amazing, I have a two year warranty on almost all of my computer parts.

Hey guys! I have tried everything I can think of. I don't really know if it matters whether or not it is a gaming PC, anyway. It has been working fine for about 5 months and in this past month, my computer crashes randomly. The only thing that has changed since then is I have an extra SSD but the crashes were happening before I got this so it isn't the SSD causing it and that I have reinstalled the OS about 3 times (to different OS's). I have no idea why it keeps crashing but it usually happens within the first 30 minutes of use when I get home from work and doesn't occur again for the rest of the night. I just need help to permanently fix this as it can become quite an issue and not only that, it is frustrating considering how much money I have put into this lol Anyway, my specs are as follows: Case: NZXT H440 PSU: Corsair 750W RM-750 ATX Full modular Motherboard: gigabyte z97x gaming 7 CPU: 4790k RAM: g-skill g1 sniper 2400 mhz 4x4gb Graphics card: EVGA GTX 980 Ti 2 SSD's: Both 850 Evo's one is 120gb other is 240gb And an LED strip if that matters? Thank you everyone for being so kind to me in the past <3

Okay so ive had this problem on and off since upgrading to windows 10. My monitors keep disconnecting and then reconnecting every minute or so. I have 3 monitors 2 * 1080p and a single 4k. Im running a 780ti and because it doesnt have enough outputs on the back to drive all three displays im running one of the displays of my integrated graphics (display port on my motherboard) the other two displays the 4k and the other 1080p are connected through display port and hdmi. This is everything i have tried. Updating driver software for both the 780ti and the integrated graphics. When i look at task manager i can predict the monitor disconnect as my cpu usage starts to peak and then spikes ranging from 80-100% load. I have turned of my overclock and my temps are around 35c. i have tried disconecting each monitor one by one from the display input to see if there is a bad cable, on every monitor the screen still flashes black for about a second. I have timed each disconnect and they seem to be in the range of 1 minute +/- 5 seconds. sometimes when i boot my pc maybe ⅖ times it will not have this problem. When the CPU peaks an application is run called ‘Windows problem reporting’ which uses about 70% CPU. During this time my RAM usage is a constant 4GB i have 8GB in total. So im stuck i have tried everything i can think of can anyone help?

Hey guys, my modem has been acting weird these past few days. It randomly stops working and my desktop loses its internet connection, my router loses its wifi signal and I can't go online at all... then I turn off the router, turn it on again and it starts working, only to stop again after some time. How can I fix this weird problem?

So, I have a PC that restarts its self. A LOT. But I don't know why! It has been working ok-ish for ~4 years and this started 1 week ago. It presents me with a black screen, no warning, error or anything similar. Then it reboots. It did it when launching Skyrim, Portal2 and Hearthstone and did it while running TF2, Portal 2 (if it launches), Avast's scan, Defraggler and even Chrome! I've cleaned it and its temperatures, even under full load, staying bellow 80 (overastimated) 60 celcius, but for the GPU hitting a 68-69 on FurMark. I've uninstalled unwanted crap, ccleaned (+registry), defraglered (both run in safe mode) and scanned for viruses on startup (as it crashes with Windows on, even in safe mode). I've run MemTest (twice) and it showed 0 problems. I've used Intel's testing utility and it showed no problems. I've run FurMark and the gpu runs cool (at 68-69 celcius, even though FM is running at <1fps) and stable. I connected my HDD on the pc and it rebooted its self again, so it's not an OS or HDD issue. Tomorrow morning I'll try my PSU on it as well. So, if it restarts with my PSU as well, is there a way to make sure that the problem is the MoBo? (I don't have one to check it) And is there anything about the other parts I can/should check? OS: WinXP 32bit CPU: Core2Duo E7500 RAM: 2x1Gb @800MHz MoBo: ASUS P5KPL-AM SE GPU: ATI Radeon HD5570 (latest Driver, had problem even before updating) HDD: A 300Gb Western Digital PSU:Lattice LC-8450BTX 450W, no specified power efficiency. Also its fan died and it has been switched with a new one, connected on the old one's cables with black tape.
