I built this computer not long ago, and every since I had it, there has been a problem with the Bluetooth. I would hope to know whether this can be fixed software side, or do I need to exchange this motherboard. I have the Rampage V Edition 10, and yes, it is still under warranty. I have tried driver re-installs, downloading the Broadcom driver directly, as well as disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth in the BIOS. Yes, I did plug in the antenna. I also updated the BIOS. Bluetooth devices only work within an inch or so from the antenna. This issue is really infuriating. I have changed antennas and it still doesn't work. I hope the awesome community here at LTT forums will be able to help me with this. Dealing with a VERY strange driver issue on computer. This has to do with the Broadcom Wifi Driver for my Asus Rampage V Edition 10 Motherboard. I have my computer wired in via ethernet so I didn't notice when this first happened. But first my WiFi adapter stopped showing up in Windows (10 Pro). I looked into my device manager and saw that I had not Wifi Device, or nothing WiFi related in my network adapters. I redownloaded drivers from asus's website, and the bundled installer would silently fail, and when I navigated to manually in stall the driver, I would get a "update.cpp 1189" error in the broadcom wifi driver installer process. I even fully reinstalled windows on my boot drive and the second I booted in, I saw no driver, and the driver reinstall failed like before. I see device with an error in my device manager, and I'm thinking this is the messed up wifi driver. Somehow windows automatic driver installs on first boot of the machine is grabbing this bad one? This is just speculation, but I'm looking for some help here. Thanks, Rizen.

Hey guys I'm new on the forums so bear with me if I post this thread in the wrong one. The problem I am facing is related to Overclock thats why I thought it would be best to post it here. Anyways I use ASUS RAMPAGE V Edition 10 with an Intel-core 6850k at 4.4GHz and yesterday while I was doing my daily gaming session suddendly the system shut down. I tried to restart it but it couldnt even pass through the POST. I tried to see the Qcode on the mobo and I noticed that the system was shutting down right after the overclock with the Qled at red (which means CPU). I also attempeted a complete reset, unpluging the PSU but still the same. Having no luck with the restarts I used the SAFE BOOT button the mobo has in order to get to BIOS cause there was no other way. Inside BIOS I loaded the default settings and I reseted the PC. The system passed through POST and booted the OS as if it was working perfectly. Though when I went inside BIOS the second time I applied my overclock settings, saved and reseted the system couldnt be able to reset itself. It would just save and shut down . Something is preventing the system from reseting when I apply changes inside the extreme tweaker but i dont know what. I cannot even overclock my RAM although it can pass the MEMOK test . Any suggestions or solutions would be very much appreciated.Thank you

Greetings everyone: I just completed my first build and I am struggling to resolve some issues with Overclocking, Audio and M2 Drive. I have been a lurker here for a while now and am hopeful I will find a solution here: OVERCLOCKING The Motherboard does not seem to be permitted overclocking or there is some issue which is causing system fail loop. Attempt 1 – After PC assembly, PC booted into BIOS, Windows was successfully installed. After installing all utilities from Pen Drive which came with the M/B, I opened AI Suite III. The software asked me to run a 5 way optimization. After clicking on the optimization button, the PC went into a restart mode and there was no feed on the monitor thereafter for several hours. After several attempts to restart (including emptying CMOS and installing a new BIOS battery) the computer got stuck at American Megatrends screen with a message “Overclocking Failed! Please enter setup to re-configure your system.” I entered BIOS, loaded defaults and continued using the PC. Attempt 2 – After discussing with ASUS Tech Support as to why RAM was reflecting as 2300 MHZ while the RAM is 3000 MHZ, I entered BIOS to switch on XMP. While exiting BIOS after switching XMP on, it showed several changes to CPU settings which were not made by me but I assumed these were automatically made in order to accommodate XMP profile. As I exited BIOS, CP went into the same error loop. The computer got stuck at American Megatrends screen with a message “Overclocking Failed! Please enter setup to re-configure your system.” I entered BIOS, loaded defaults and continued using the PC. Attempt 3 – I followed an online guide to overclocking (link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW6gBneg3VA) which isn’t very extreme and the target CPU clock was 4.0 Ghz. I made changes as reflected in this video however upon exiting BIOS after making changes CP went into the same error loop. The computer got stuck at American Megatrends screen with a message “Overclocking Failed! Please enter setup to re-configure your system.” I entered BIOS, loaded defaults and continued using the PC. No further overclocking attempts were made. Has anyone faced similar issues? Any recommended workarounds? AUDIO I plugged in my stereo speakers into the lime colored audio jack at the back of the PC (as recommended by the manual). When I turn on my speakers, I get persistent static and whirring sounds which get acute as I initiate any commands on the PC. E.g. it seems like static when CPU is not performing any new commands but as I initiate a new task something as simple as copy/pasting, the whirring increases. I have tried to reconnect all ports, and reinstall drivers a few times but to no avail. I have tried the same wire and speakers on my two other computers and no such issue. Performance with M2 I have a SSD 960 EVO NVMe M.2 500GB plugged into the M2 port. I have installed windows and all programs on this drive. Somehow, working with this drive is giving me slower results when compared with using the same set of programs on the SATA Samsung 850 pro. Do you know if there are any compatibility issues with this drive? Or the port in general? The second drive which gave me faster results is SSD 850 EVO 2.5" SATA III 500GB which is weird since read/write speed of the m@ drive is much faster. I have tried reading about these issues but I haven't got far. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and the gaming side of things. I'm a computer science (programmer) major and thought I should start my way into the hardware side of things and basically learn my way up to increase my knowledge. So I started off on my curious and slow pasted journey to create my own gaming rig. This build is not quite finished, I am hoping to get a insight on some things before I further my conquest. ---------------------------------------------- Build: ~~PC Hound *link to pc build (specs)*~~ ---------------------------------------------- I would like to know if having AMD & Nvidia graphics cards on the same motherboard is possible and how to make it work if it does. Also if having more ram exceeding the cpus recommendations will bottleneck my system in anyway (the motherboard supports 3333+mhz and up to 8 ram slots), but the cpu supports only 2400mhz and only 4 slots. *why make a motherboard specificly for the x99 chipset with these specs if the cpu can't handle it?* What other accessories do I need and what should I understand? If you have any suggestions on what I need to do or if I need to make any corrections. Please don't hesitate to tell me... As I said before I am a complete noob to building a pc, but from the research I have done the is a great rig and it should be future proofed for awhile?! Not related to the issue, but if you'd also like to give me pointers on how to set up this build software and hardware wise, I'll gladly take advice from you and whatever sources, vid or articles, you could provide! Thanks you!

Hello, I'm searching for a way to use the driver usb stick from the ASUS X99 Rampage V Edition 10 as a normal USB device. At the moment it shows up as two devices at the same time: First a dvd drive with all drivers and second as a normal usb with around 1,8GB. Does anyone know how to use it/has a "normal" firmware for it (if needed)? Thank you in advance. PS: I'm sorry for my broken english, I'm (sadly) not a native speaker.

Let's start with system specs 6950x OC to 4.4GHz @ 1.38v perfectly stable, in fact I have had it higher but I am doubting the Corsair h115i will keep up with too much more heating. Besides, 20 logical cores at 4.4GHz is plenty performance for my workload. Asus Rampage V Edition 10 Corsair Dominator Platinum 64GB (8x8GB) at 3200MHz Main system drive is Intel 750 Series 400GB PCIe NVMe SSD and an additional RAID array storage setup of 3 Intel 730 Series (480GB each) stripped together for 1.2TB in RAID 0 2 EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 1080 Founder's Edition modded with the EVGA diy hybrid kits, set up in SLI with the EVGA HB bridge. For the 5.25" drive bays I installed the Asus Supreme FX Hi-Fi dac that came with mobo and the Asus ROG Front Base. Total of 9 fans, 2 blower style fans in the gpu housing/shroud from EVGA, all other fans are the Noctua black industrial 3000rpm fans (NF-F12 and NF-A14) mounting as follows: 2-140mm fans in pull configuration on the h115i cooler at top of case 1-140mm as exhaust mounted on inside of case in push config next to I/O shield 4-120mm in push/pull config at front of case for GTX 1080 hybrid kits NZXT IU01 internal USB header expander Corsair ax1500i power supply Corsair 750D Running Windows 10 Pro (build 1511) this is the build before the anniversary update (which when installed, was incompatible with enough of the software installed that it nearly bricked my brand new build, so I rolled back. With so many parts, this build took some planning, quite a bit of time, and several parts were bad and I was forced RMA them. The bugs/issues have been constant. No matter how many different combinations of hardware, as only this week was I able to power it up with all of the hardware we here, these bugs remained constant. So I doubt these are hardware issues, I'm thinking software, either some settings or compatibility problems with Windows 10. So first up are these permission warnings. Every single time I boot or re-boot, every single time, about 6 or 7 programs from Asus, that are 100% legit, came directly from the support page as utilities that come with this board (and most Asus boards) all throw up these caution/warning messages asking permission to run, every single time. I have searched for a "don't ask again" box but I can't find one. This goes along with the first issue...when opening apps/programs on this system, every single time I click on one, I get these super annoying warning/permission boxes that ask if I want to let them run on the system, and aren't happening exclusively to Asus programs, but everything. I have even even tried uninstalling Kapersky and turning off Windows Defender. Like I said, I'm feeling like this is some feature/setting in Windows 10....so how do I modify it to stop this from happening with every program, every boot up, and every time I want to open a program that isn't from Microsoft. And finally, perhaps this is related as well, or maybe it's different but on every boot up, rather than remembering the driver for the Asus ROG Front Base, I must manually select it and activate it, on every boot up... Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys, Doing a £3000 build with a rampage V Edition 10 e-atx motherboard, two gtx 1080's, an i7 6800k cooled by a 100i V2 water cooler, 32gb HyperX Predator 3200mhz RAM, an M.2 SSD for the OS, a 1TB SSD for game storage and a corsair 850w power supply. Was wondering what case could fit all this in, including the front panel headphone amp that comes with the Rampage V motherboard. Ive seen lots of people having trouble finding a case that is worthy of a build this expensive, looks aesthetically pleasing but also allows enough room for the headphone amp and its protruding volume adjuster which means cases with panels that open and close on the front are likely a no go (sadly). Any help would be appreciated, thanks! --P.S any tips for my build would also be appreciated! its going to be a 1440p gaming rig for a ASUS 27" 1440p IPS G-sync 165hz display along with Razer chroma mouse, keyboard, headphones and speakers.

So far finding it crazy difficult to find a good case (price does not matter) that has a space for the DAC and can hold EATX motherboards. Doing a nice high spec build so needs to be a nice case, preferably one that shows off the expensive internals. The DAC has a nob for adjusting volume that means it needs a lot of space infront of it, meaning most cases with covers and doors over the bay where the DAC would be cannot be used. (very sadly) Would prefer not have a case as crazy big as a 900D but suggestions for big cases are still welcome. ALTERNATIVELY: Would i be losing out much by just not using the DAC and opting for a case with no front bays? ill be using a mix of some speakers and a headset depending on if watching films or gaming. Thanks for any help guys!
