Does anyone know any way to adapt JCORSAIR1 Headers to something more common like USB or addressable RGB for example? Trying to run a set of 5 Corsair SP RGB PROS on a ROG Rampage IV Formula. I am trying to avoid the options of running my pre-existing RGB hub through say a Commander PRO. I also cant upgrade my motherboard very much because I am running a i7 3930k which has quite a old socket. If anyone knows of a Motherboard with a LGA 2011 socket that also supports JCORSAIR1 That would be great.

so here is a fun question and all advice is appreciated, I am upgrading my main gaming rig and I am going for something a little different. I have an asus rampage iv black edition running a xeon e5 2620 @ 2.6 Ghz, now the weird thing is my cpu shouldn't be able to go past 2 Ghz other then with turbo mode to 2.5 Ghz or overclocking the bclk, but one day I tried the asus AI suite and the one-click overclock feature and noticed that my cores were all running at 2.6 Ghz instead of just one or two cores. so I got to thinking, if the Rampage could do that to a slow 6 core, what would it do to an 8 core xeon. anyway, I bought an E5 2690 8 core @ 2.9 Ghz with a turbo of 3.8 Ghz. do you think the rampage would set it to its max turbo on all 8 cores if the cooling was good enough?

Issue | Getting a Samsung 850 Evo 1tb to register in the BIOS/Windows on a RIVE mobo with latest BIOS. So I should have asked this a long time ago honestly cause I have just had this drive sitting in my case not doing anything, figured an upgrade would help out later on. But with the upgrade to Windows 10, I figured I would help a friend out and give him one of my 120gb SSDs and just try the 1tb SSD again. I guess it wasn't meant to be, after plugging it in again it showed one time in the BIOS and I thought it would stick. But ever since then, it won't show up in any shape or form. I've tried changing BIOS changes to SATA devices, resetting power and SATA cables, changing ports for the drive, etc and it just will not register in the BIOS or the OS itself. I've already had to RMA this drive once to Newegg cause I thought it was faulty, I never thought to RMA it again so much later after the problems didn't change before. I've also had to RMA this mobo 3 times, I gave up trying to get a completely working RIVE after the last time (Mainly USB issues and false RAM BSODs). The system would hang (when it was actually detected), I would get random BSODs in Win 8.1, and on random resets it would stop showing up in the BIOS once again. So I decided to just unplug it and leave it be like I said before not thinking anything of it until I did the upgrade so I could give my Vertex 3 120gb drive to one of my friends. I've been working with computers for around 15 years and have never come across something like this, I'm at a complete loss for how to go about fixing this. Any suggestions from people who might of had the same problem, or know what might be going on? So like a month ago I decided to put Windows 8 on my gaming rig. I installed all the drivers and everything, no problems whatsoever. One day, while I was playing Counter-Strike I noticed that my audio channels are actually inverted... The sound, which is supposed to come from the right side is coming from the left and the other way around. I immediately searched for a solution in google.com, but without any results. Tried to find an option to invert the channels in the Realtec audio software, but there was none. Bear in mind that I'm using the onboard audio on my ASUS Rampage IV Gene and I have connected a 3,5mm jack splitter at the back, because I have two audio devices connected at the same time - headset (Cyborg FREQ 5) and a 2.1 speaker setup. I was able to swap the position of my speakers so that the sound would come from the right direction, but that is not possible with the headset. If anyone has any ideas, please share.

Hey Guys, i am torn between those two CPUs. I can't decide wheather i should get an i7 3770k+maximus v formula or an i7 4820k+rampage iv formula. I like the i7 4820k better because it is faster than the 3770k and overclocks way better. But i don't like the point that x79 starts to show it's age. Maybe it isn't a problem because i don't need more than two SATA 3 ports and i don't need much usb 3.0 either. Right now i don't even have a usb 3.0 device. But one the other hand the maximus v formula has neat features like wlan and SRT which i find quite handy. What do you guys think? Is it worth investing in x79?

Hi. I have just putt together a new machine. New HW: Intel Core i7 4930K Asus Rampage IV Gene Kingston HyperX Beast PC12800/1600MHz CL9 XMP From the old PC: Asus Radeon 6950 Fractal Design Newton R2 650W When I press the Start button on the MB the fans start, and I get an error on the MB 00, and the CPU feil LED is on. I RMA'd the CPU and got a new today. Still the same. I think I have flashed the BIOS on the MB to allow the newer CPU. Any one have any idea on what I can be, or how to get it going ?

Hi. I'm new here, I'm Canadian, and I live in Virginia, so feel free to poke fun. I'm working on a spec for a my new workstation. I do freelance design in SolidWorks for Sheet metal, machine design, and custom product part design analysis. My challenge is SolidWorks is a single threaded application, so multiple cores doesn't do it any good. Overclocking does however make a significant improvement. The simulation software I use does very well with multiple cores, so it seems like Ivy bridge-E is a smart choice to get the best of both overclocking for modelling performance and 6 cores for analysis performance. I think Xeon is over-rated. I have a dual Xeon system at work, only time I see a benefit is when doing big simulations, or running multiple background conversion tasks. Water cooling seems to be an important feature, due to some simulations solving for hours. My current setup without OC or WC gets into the 70 degree C range. This is what is in my shopping cart so far: Asus rampage iV black edition (just because it is cool... and I'm a self-proclaimed Asus fanboy) Corsair XMS 64GB memory CMX64GX3M8A1600C11 (going to give RamDisk a shot.) Stuff I'm thinking about adding: Whatever unlocked 6-core i7 IB-E I can afford when the shopping cart is full. I can always upgrade the cpu, right after the haswell-E release. I've been following gnif's work from EEV forum on converting GTX 690s to K5000's so there may be a GTX 690 in this build. ;o) Fittings and rads from Koolance. Probably a 480 to start with up top, and then maybe a 240 in the basement and a 360 in the front as an upgrade I'm having trouble deciding on a good case, I'm falling in love with idea of a water cooled 900D, probably just one or two rads, but with many drives since my work can be very data hungry and raid will be important for data redundancy. I realize there are many cases that could work for me, but I'm liking the idea of this one. my current system is in an Antec P182. I like the layout of the 540 Air, but not exactly what I'm looking for with this build. It's been 5 years since my last system build so I'm looking to have a fun conversation with this one. I've never taken the time to do a build for looks, but since my office is moving to the dining room, I'm thinking of doing a black on black for the build with just a few polished metal accents and minimal lighting. It will be an experience for me to do good cable management and tubing routing Usually my builds look like a thrown together test bench mock-up in case. Maybe I should sleep less and model it up in SolidWorks? Maybe not. I wonder how hard it is to paint a noctua black? Is that sacrilegious? The budget is a little bigger then reasonable for this, however its a business expense, so I'd like to hear ideas, I'll create a build log as the stuff rolls in over the holidays.

Hi all, I have just set up my nice new rig. i've install and updated all drivers and windows updates ect. however I wanted to bring my RAID 0 over from my CROSSHAIR III FORMULA MoBo and use it in my RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION. however the new Mobo wants me to set up an entierly new raid and i was kinda hoping not to. any ideas or fixes would be verry much appreciated?
