First and foremost my current specifications are as under:- CPU: i7 4790K (Devils Canyon) GPU: EVGA Classified 980Ti RAM: 8GB X 2 (Guess its 1333 Mhz) MoBo: Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 3 (Its LGA1150 iirc) Cabinet: Cooler Master CM690 III SMPS: 750W Cooler Master SSD: SN570 Complaints about current build: No WiFi on MoBo (so had to use external adapter which sucks btw, I mean I only use Ethernet but whatever would be good to have incase main internet is down), thermals on 4790K are not the best (I live in India and it can get hot sometimes, so am looking for something that has great CPU thermals out of the box if possible because I dont want to spend too much on premium coolers and stuff) My Main Game: Rainbow Six Siege (Currently get anywhere around 160 to 220fps on all low 1080p, 4:3) What I am looking for in new build? I play fps games and want to high consistent 240fps minimum (so lets aim at 360 on High/ Medium settings maybe so the dips arent that low), I currently have 144Hz monitor but may upgrade to 240 or 360Hz with a 1080p 24"/ 1440p 27" in future once the rig is ready. So I think a 6700XT was an option, or maybe a 3070 RTX which is more expensive. I have used GTX 1070 on my laptop and found that its Low Latency mode (Reflex set to ON+Boost) felt very responsive. Aint telling my 980Ti is bad but idk it just felt so instant to shoot with it ON. My only doubt is AMD's implementation of this low latency feature might be kinda wack. Also, Siege is very CPU heavy so I dont want my system to bottleneck. So keeping that in mind, I wonder what CPU, GPU, Motherboard and RAM to upgrade (keeping my Cabinet size in mind). What I am going to do is sell my Alienware 17R4 laptop and invest that money into upgrading my PC and little bit more here and there. So like 1000-1200$ upgrade at max roughly. If the GPU is very expensive I can get someone from abroad to hand carry for me because the prices in India are too high sometimes, but other components I shall definitely buy from India. So in a nutshell feel free to ask any questions, and point out how dumb I am xD, but hey help a fellow gamer out haha. Best!

Whenever I launch Rainbow Six Siege Vulkan from Steam, the cpu usage of the steam client bootstrapper skyrockets from 1% usage to around 15-20% which does not happen with any other game on steam. I tried many fixes including uninstalling my games and steam but none have worked so far. After I close down R6, steam's cpu usage still stays around 15-20%. I am currently running on windows 10 pro with dual e5-2667v2 cpus which are more than enough for gaming with a 5700 xt. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Good day ladies and gents I have built a system on a budget a few months ago and I just bought rainbow six siege. Here are my specs: Intel Pentium G4400 3.2 GHz Skylake MSI H100M PRO-VD 4GB DDR4 CORSAIR GENERAL(nothin fancy) RAM GTX 1050 2GB Zotac 500W Corsair PSU I am currently getting no more than 35 fps on 720p with all settings on the lowest. I have seen a few videos of people playing with a G4400 but still getting around 50-60-70 fps on medium-high at 900p or 720p (my max monitor resolution is 1024) but they all have 8 GB ram, so , my question is, if I put another 4 GB of ram in my PC how much will my fps increase +/- ? I just want to know if I should get more ram or a better CPU. Here is one of the videos I was talking about(this guy even has a worst GPU than mine yet is getting around 15-20 more FPS than me): Please note: I am really not rich so please don't say like buy an i5 or i7 as it is out of my budget. at max I can buy a i3 6100 unless I have to buy in the used market.

Hello yesterday rainbow six siege got an new update and after the update my game when I try to play multiplayer I get this error message I contacted ubisoft but after half of day nothing, message is Connect / 2-0x0000C003, if some one know how to fix this please help.

I recently got Rainbow Six Siege for my pc. I have an FX-9590, Gtx1060 6g, and 8gb ram. My Pc specs are good enough to run the game on very high quality but a few minutes into the game, it freezes and i have to reset my pc. I have tried to lower the game down to high and started a benchmark test. During the benchmark i received very high frames, 100fps as minimum but when i started a match my pc froze and i had to restart. PLEASE help me, any advice will do.

What are some good closed back headphones for gaming? I currently have a HyperX Cloud 2 but want am considering buying new better sounding headphones. I need them to be closed back since i live with other people and open backs would annoy them and i need the noise isolation to block out noise. Are there any closed back headphones that have great sound and great soundstage since i need good soundstage to hear footsteps when playing rainbow six siege

So I enjoy my fair share of Rainbow Six Siege and my computer can handle it quite well, however I feel like my CPU kind of bottlenecks me from getting my full potential. My PC specs: 1070 Ti, i7-7700 3.60GHz, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB Kingston SSD and 250 GB Kingston SSD. When I game and try to stream at the same time, my CPU just gives up and the stream lags every second or drops to like 15 FPS. My task manager shows that my CPU usage is 100% when i game and stream. Is it worth to upgrade my rig or do I just settle down with low graphics in game (which has been shown to help the CPU usage). What do you guys think?

Hi. Looking for some great stereo headphones for gaming, listening to music and occasional film editing (film student here). My previous one was the Sony MDR-1000x. It was great. The best one I've owned so far, but thanks to Sony's wonderful and sturdy construction (incoming sarcasm), the headband snapped. The cans still work, but I've yet to glue it properly together. I'm currently running with a 1more Triple Driver IEMs. They're actually good overall, but it's becoming a hassle to plug and unplug on my PC and I don't trust my clumsy a** to be careful with them if I keep bringing them to every occasion. Anyway...... I mainly play Rainbow Six Siege (and occasional single-player games), so I need something to help me with footsteps, gunfire, and overall situational awareness. I don't have any specific music that I listen to. I can range from Air Supply to Eagles to Eminem and TechN9ne (honestly, the only rappers I listen to) to even Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Although, I do have a particular hard-on to JRock and JPop. My current all-time favorite is STARSET, who specializes in, according to them, "cinematic rock" (music you typically hear from epic movie soundtracks ala Hans Zimmer) Let me get this out of the way: 1. I know the word "gaming" on "gaming headsets" is a marketing scheme and really doesn't make any difference. I only need the "headphones" part. So, I don't really trust Logitech, Razer, etc. headphones. 2. I have a separate mic (actually, my recorder but it also works as a mic as well) 3. "5.1/7.1 surround sounds" is a gimmick. 4. I don't have a DAC or a sound card, I just use the one on straight from the motherboard. I'm looking at MassdropxSennheiser HD 58x, HD 599 (598 originally, but it was discontinued), Audio-Technica AD700x, Beyerdynamic 770 or 880 or 990, and Philips SHP9500. Anymore of these that I can consider?

I just upgraded to a quad core I5 no HT CPU just to play R6 since they cut support on dual core CPUs. Now I still get freeze and crash to desktop right on round start when map/characters are loaded. I started big topics on Ubisoft forums and Steam forums and had this everywhere on media since I was on dual core. They didn't give any info or detail about what happened or what did they broke it's a crazy CPU support list related issue and no one on the big gaming news sites wrote a review about this: 20% of players can't access R6 anymore after Burnt horizon patch. They just told us to upgrade from 2 cores to 2 cores with HT or 4 cores as their system requirements but now I still have this problem unsolved and I'm above the system requirements. Help

So I have always had software issues with Rainbow Six siege on my new PC build, but it pretty much doesn't work with any program I have that uses any kind of in-game overlay (except for the Uplay overlay of course). My radeon Adrenaline overlay simply doesn't work, if I try to open discord overlay in a match the game freezes, and it causes ASUS aura to stop working while i'm playing. I've just kind of dealt with this for now but I use Adrenaline's Instant Replay feature a lot (and it works fine for any other game I play), and I would really like to be able to save the last 60 seconds of gameplay while playing siege. It has only worked once for me on siege randomly, and Adrenaline pretty much crashes and won't start again after I play siege until I reboot my PC completely. The overlay never opens and if I use the hotkey to save a replay I usually find the replay file is just a video of a green background. Since I don't think I will find a solution to this issue I was hoping someone knew of a different software that also has an instant replay feature similar to Adrenaline that I could use instead?

Hey guys I have the following problem. My computer which is runs on Windows 7 just shuts down. And I dont know why. It most often happens when I play Rainbow Six for a while. (Like 3-5 Locker games). Whenever the computer crashed I have turn off the power of my powerspillter. Whatever you call that. Not to forget that the CPU or GPU is not overheating. It is beeing used tensly but not overheating. Howver if it would overheat the computer shows me that the fans are not intensely used. So more cooled air would flow into the computer. I am clue less. So I started playing siege few months ago.I only have bout 200h in steam.Im not that good.I can hardly get any in ranked matches.Last season i got gold 3 but i dont think im that good.i was carried and my kd was 0.7!This season its the same.Also the timing of enemies are so perfect that they catch me off every time.SO what should i do to get better?People in ranked tell me to get to 100 lvl by playing casual and then play ranked. PS:I forgot to mention that in a ranked match my score was 0 kills 1 assists 7 deaths<thats how bad i am Thank you for helping

Certain games aren't well optimized for HT/SMT, namely R6S and BO4. Can I get around this while still using HT/SMT by setting the CPU affinity to only the physical cores in use when HT/SMT is off? For example, if I'm running a Ryzen 5 1600 and I have 6 cores and 12 threads, can I simply disable usage of cores 6-11 and keep 0-5? I don't know much about HT/SMT and cpu management, so any pointers in this area would help. I'm just tired of stuttering in BO4 and crashing randomly in R6S, I have a very capable computer for 2018 with a 1080 and 16 GB RAM. I know devs themselves have to optimize their games, but I also need to make sure my hardware is setup properly. So I started Rainbow Six Siege this September which means I'm rather new but I'm super hooked onto this game and blasted through 200+ hours of gameplay within these few months between school and home.
