I have been getting crashes to black screen and reboot with my new 6000 series card. Turns out Radeon Software doesn't play nice with AIDA64 or HWINFO64. I uninstalled Radeon Software then installed only the drivers, how to- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhBLqTVxcBM The newest MSI Afterburner now works for fan control which is all I was using the Radeon Software for. No crashes since.

Hi guys, i need some help with a problem that i just can't seem to get around. After upgrading my amd drivers to 21.10.2, Radeon Software stopped opening. It doesn't appear on the system tray and if I try to run it manually, it seems like it's trying to load but ultimately it doesn't boot. The driver itself works fine, i can play games and whatever, but i'm unable to access any feature within the software which sucks. What i found out is that, if i try to unistall drivers and install an old version ( i tried 20.11.2), the software works normally. If i update to 21.10.2 (and beyond), the program stops working. What i tried so far: 1) Unistalling and reinstalling current drivers, using either DDU or AMD cleanup utility. 2) Updating Windows with all the latest updates. 3) Tried editing the registry key 4) Tried deleting the CN folder and reboot. Something that i noticed is that, if i do i clean install of the latest drivers, the CN folder in AppData is empty. If i upgrade drivers from 20.11.2 to 21.10.2, the content of the folder stays there. I don't know if it is supposed to do that. The Gpu is a MSI 5700xt Evoke OC on a AMD platform x470 asrock taichi with 3900x cpu. It displays on my monitors, im right now watching twitch and also INTEL needs to do better from linusTechtips But as soon as i try to play a game or try benchmark it on steams 3D markt it goes black screen and back to windows with the pop up message from Radeon software that it crashed. The things i did to check if SOFTWARE wise is broken are- SFC/scannow and the other 3 options in CMD 3 times DDU in Recommend drivers also the latest and on my current drivers that i was using before the insident was happening FULL windows format Now on the side of the problem. Before all this happened i was using my gpu on my second pci lane because i was having my audio card on the first pci lane because of space. After i was broswing my pc settings i saw that on radeon software that my gpu was running on Bus in Pci Lane x8 and after i was uplugging my audio and my gpu to realocate them the pc started dropping 3 Blue screens i dont rememeber the Codes of the BS cause i knew it was a Connection issue. After all this i uplugged my Audio card and resited my gpu on my first pci lane All good the pc turned on no problem and i started Forza horizon 5 because im rocking this game right now And it started on the loading screen and poof black screen and the message from Radeon software that my driver crashed and so the thing that i did that metioned above started. On the question side Is my Gpu probably broken? Let me know cause i dont know what to do Internet doesnt help that much on this side of problem that i have

So yesterday 29/1/2022 or 1/29/2022, i was browsing my computer settings when i stable on the Radeon software that my CBS was been in PCI 3.0 x8 rather in x16 setting, so i started searching why and how to fix that, i searched threw my BIOS settings for my pci option and it was in x16 mode not in split or other options that could change them. What i dont remember from very previous days is to check if my gpu was running in x16 or x8. after I made a change to my pc, i plugged a audio card in my first pci slot (cause of space) on my vertical mount gpu with the extenter, after i unplugged my audio card to check other options of how to manage my extenter in order to plug the audio card in the pcie slot..... To summarise when i turned on the pc it was dropping some bluescreens (i dont remember the codes that was posting) after a while and unplugged audio card eventually my pc was keep crashing (with the classic AMD issue detection message)+blackscreens for a sec on 2-3 games on startup that i had to check on. Internet forums didnt have this specific problem to understand why was it happening in order to use one method and be done with this. What i did to try and solve the problem is to try the internet solutions of- -CMD SFC etc etc nothing of that 4 options worked -FRESH windows Install and again the same -DDU like 4 times before and after the Fresh windows install with 2 different Software versions nothing The holl point of what im trying to say is that 3 Bscreens and it created this problem? I could count that it might be something with the extenter or the graphics card but the games starts WHEN the Software is closed (like it didnt turn on or i closed it). Something important All this specs was working well before i started uplugging my audio card, GPU, extenter. Radeon software was in 21.12.1 and now im using 22.1.2. I think I may have broken something in my GPU after cleaning it. GPU was running quite hot, so I thought it might be because of the old thermal compound (spoilers it wasn't but the heatsink not screwed in properly), and so I did what needed to be done and then plugged it back in... then the GPU fan started spinning at almost max rpm just as my PC booted, and It was weird since I had everything on default (that includes 0 rpm mode). At that time the metrics monitor specifically the GPU fan speed metric was displaying 0 rpm even though the fans were clearly ramped up, then for some reason I thought I'd run a stress test and see what happens... after about halfway through the stress test the fan just suddenly stopped spinning, and its been like that until now writing this LTT forums post. Any suggestions and or thoughts will help a ton, thanks in advance. System Specs: ASUS B450M Plus TUF Motherboard AMD Ryzen 5 3400G (Vega 11 IGPU) 16GB 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX Memory (2x 8GB dual channel) Sapphire Pulse RX550 2GB (from old system) 500GB Kingston NV1 m.2 SSD 1TB WD Blue HDD Sketchy 800W Unrated PSU (300W peak rated power) PS: This issue isn't anything particularly urgent or important so I'd be thankful enough if you put any of your time on this at all. Edit 1: I forgot to mention that this GPU was not originally from my current system, but from my old system (everything else was sold). Edit 2: For further context behind the provided image; The reason why it's running hot is because I have a light game running in the background to purposely get the temps up just to prove that the fans are in fact not working when it should be... and no, the displayed fan RPM is false as I've previously mentioned.

SO AMD has announched a fidelityFX Super Resolution at driver lever called RSR back in January. I only wanted to ask if it is really available as an option and my radeon software is broken or if it is actually not in the software yet For the record I have an RX 5500XT so its compatible.

From my observation it appears that the AMD 6000 series GPU are limited to effective clock speeds of about 2500mhz. The reason is that power consumption is limited to about 332 watts. I have a liquid devil 6900xt and put the clock speed pretty high and other settings as high as possible but during testing the GPU only maxes out the power meter and will not reach up any further, no matter if I input 2600mhz, 2700mhz etc. I hope that someone from AMD will see this post and make adjustments to the Radeon Software to allow for more power draw. You can see in my screenshots my Radeon settings and a small stress test showing the metrics. Everything works great, stable and I am very happy with the performance. BUT, I was really wanting to overclock the heck out of this thing even more and the inability to draw anything more than about 332 watts is holding me back. Hopefully an update in the future allows for more power consumption through Radeon Software. If anyone knows about a way to draw more power, tell me.

Stuff like key commands (Alt+R for me) and other radeon software operations such as toggling recordings with a keybing (in my case ctrl+alt+e) don't do a thing, that annoying little red bar that is always in the top left corner of my screen is gone (I never understood why it was there in the first place), and even attempting to shut down applications in task manager relating to Radeon Software, and then relaunching it from my start menu, adds it 's icon to the right side of my task bar (what is that area called again), but it is still broken. And yes I have removed 'gmdb.blb' which was the cause of a problem where it would never ever launch previously, but now I can't do it at all. I had luck previously with the task manager method before, but this time it doesn't seem to be working. Any clues?

So... I've been rocking with my RX 560 (Sapphire pulse RX 560 OC 2gb Vram gddr5) for a long time now, But I don't know why there is always some instability issues with AMD Driver such as driver time out, That annoy me so much... When I'm using Radeon software WHQL 2.1.4.1 is always have a driver timeout issues then now I'm downgrading it (With DDU of course) to 2.1.3.1 Adrenaline 2020 Edition and then surprisingly it will work fine and no Instability issues like those So I'm asking to you guys AMD GPU user out there, What is the most Stable AMD Drivers?... That is well working like intended Also are you using WHQL version or not?, Adrenaline 2020 Edition or AMD Radeon Software? Thanks in advance cheers XnonXte

so I have 3 vega 64s for 3D rendering work. due to thermal throttling caused by having them stacked together I decided to strap a more powerful delta fan onto the coolers. (PFR0912XHE) Its a 4 wire fan. due to its power I cant use the 64s fan header, or even a mobo header for the power wires. so I have the red and black wired up to a molex 12v. and then the blue and yellow wires onto the 64s fan header to control the speed. but when I turn the pc on the fan spins at 100% as if the blue and yellow are detached. and Radeon software shows 0rpm on the fan as if it isn't connected. anyone have tips for fixing this?

My GPU has Zero RPM on so it runs without fans for a few minutes at idle, then suddenly turns the fans on super high for a few seconds and turns them back off again. It is insanely annoying, I can hear it from multiple rooms away even with the TV on. Radeon software has a setting for zero RPM, and i have tried turning it off, applying changes, and saving the profile. I walk away and hear it making the awful an noise again. I am super stumped, but i am not sure i can take this noise much longer.

source: http://www.eteknix.com/goodbye-catalyst-control-center-hello-radeon-software-crimson-edition image heavy: --- maybe CCC needed a complete design .. maybe but but all of this would be for nothing if AMD's Radeon Division won't publish more WHQL certified drivers instead of half+ year apart we all sow Windows' 10 behaviour when it comes to updates and how it manages hardware drivers - most of people are not tech savy and others, like enterprise users, won't even install BETA software back in the day, ATi had a thing going - monthly driver updates .. it's gone
