Hey So Um A Few Days Ago My Display Randomly Went Black. I UnPlugged And Replugged The Pc Into The Mains And It Turned on but Soon Again it Turned Off I Could See The Keyboard RGB On And The Mouse's Too So Were The Lights On The Fans In MY Chassis But No Display Showed. I Could Even Hear The Audio From The Pc I Tried Some Trouble Shooting My Self. Changed The PCIe Slot And Tried To Clean The GPU A Bit (Just Dusting Under The Fans) I Have A i5 4690 So It Has A iGPU And It Works I PLugged My Display Into The Mobo And I Got A Display I Noticed That The Fan On The GPU Itself Not The One On The AIO The One On The GPU Was Going Crazy I Reinsalled The Drivers And It Booted with Display From The GPU.It Turns On But But When I Tried To Run 3D Mark's Performance Test It Crashed And It Didn't Work Again Sadly. I Am A 14 Year Old HighSchool Kid And Cant Afford A New GPU Heck I Cant Even Afford A Used 1050 Ti At This Point So I Really Need This Back xD Well Hope Me The Best And Thank You For Your Help -Void

I'm in the GPU thread. Other people have asked the same type of question I'm about to ask. Here goes nothing. I'm building a bidget PC. My dad generously offered that he'll pay for the parts, only if all of them add up to a $1000 or less. I got a liist of parts that I want for the system build, pretty decent parts actually. Compatibility checks out through all the components. Now I have around $300 to spend on a graphics card. Windforce GTX 960 vs. MSI R9 380. These are options that I have. I've made my research on the price of each GPU and it fits perfectly into the budget. But me being a mediocre computer geek, I don't know much about GPUs, even though I know plenty about other PC parts. I don't have an nvidia sheild so neither card weighs on any side at the moment. So if anyone would be kind enough to tell me with what I should go with, that'd be great. A definite answer and then a breakdown on why that particular card. Thanks.

So in light of neweggs sales and offers i stumbled upon a Sapphire Radeon r9270x 2gb for $150 with a free copy of dirt rally and a $20 dollar gift card for AMC theaters. I just wanted to know what kind of performance i would get out of this thing and how it compares to nvidia's 900 series of GPUs. Thanks for looking!

Since I'm new to this forum and this is my first post, I thought I might tell you guys a little bit about myself, before coming to the reason you're probably here. If you aren't interested in this feel free to skip to the interesting part. I'm a 20 year old guy from Germany. Therefore my english might be a little off, but I try my best to keep my posts as close to real english grammatics as possible. I have been following the LinusTechTips youtube channels for a long time. I still know the times where Linus would unpakage the new stuff he got in the parking lot of ncix, but I never had any problems nor great nollege with PCs since I never really owned one. So I build my own a few weeks backand now I'm here. Interesting Part: I am experiencing the following problem: My ca. 3 week old Graphics card (Asus Radeon R9 280 DirectCU II TOP Active PCIe 3.0 x16) has a base clock of 874MHz and a factory boost clock of 980MHz. However my R9 is very picky about turning said boost clock on. Is there a solution or should I just try to return the card to the retailer and get a new one? I searched the internet, but I didn't found anyone have the same problem or a solution to the problem. I really want to overclock the card. I know it runs stable with 15%+ Powerlimit, 1100 MHz Coreclock and the Memory clock at 1500MHz I didn't touch the core voltage. I know it runs stable because I was able to test it during one of the sessions with the boost clock active. All the overclocking and monitoring was done with MSI Afterburner Version 4.0.0 and the Riva Tuner that comes with the Afterburner. I have the newest graphics drivers installed. I also have the Catalystcenter installed. Is it that interfering with MSI afterburner, since it has its own overclocking tool? I attached two pictures. One is of the overclocking settings and the other one is a ingame pic of Battlefield 3 with load, how hot it gets and a display of the non boost. For your information: I have the MB Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P Motherboard and a FX-6350 6x 3.9GHz and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Hey guys I've been looking around the web a lot recently looking at all the options that I may have with the current budget. I saw the R9 280 for £130 on Amazon and I found myself wondering if its suitable for my needs. I will be gaming at 1080p but I want a stable frame rate even when I am recording with Dxtory with at least 60 fps. I also want to be able to play on medium or above while doing so. So if you guys know much about how this card performs out the box in certain mainstream games like BF4 stuff like that then please say so If there are any other cards around this budget that perform much better than that would also be appreciated Thanks

I was thinking about getting the new amd r9 270 series card as a gpu for my system(got everything else three months ago and going integrated right now with an a8, samsung ssd, 8gb ram, and msi mobo). Is there any after market r9 270 that has extra value that is specifically better than the rest?

I never knew this until yestarday and I'm astonished. And the cheapest R9 290x (on newegg) I could find was $480 USD. So you can buy 2 Sapphire R9 270's or 270X's and get about the same performance as a 290X. And save $100-$300.

so i stumbled upon this some months ago and i decided to post it. im sure it will be a repost because it was big news some months ago but we might have gotten new information about amd's next series. seems kind of fake to me because you cant jump from 2816 stream processors to 4.2k...

i want to get a new gaming computer next summer, where the new gpus and cpus will most likely have been dropped. untill then i need a system upgrade because my rig is too weak. is this overkill? CPU: an i5 because i want to run pcsx2 (possibly an i5 4690,not a k) MOBO: a h97 chipset one GPU:r9 270 perhaps PSU: the one i have, cx 500M ram:8GB storage: perhaps a 1TB western digital case:idk if i will change that and before you tell me to keep my current rig, i cant for 2 reasons 1. it is dying. 2. specs: athlon 64 5600+, rad 6670, 4GB ddr2... i cant play anything with this anymore. thank you for reading
