  1. My r9 fury x shows artifacts and I think i tried just about everything. I tried replacing the thermal paste, cleaning the whole gpu with wd-40, heat gun, lowering the clocks and voltages by close to 50% and still the same. If any of you can help i will be very thankful. Also the driver crashes and it black screens for a few seconds, it has artifacts even on startup and bios and the usage shows 100% all the time while memory stays on 0. temps are 35c and slowly rising
  2. found out i can get an R9 Fury for about $100 less what they go for here in Sweden if i get one off of Amazon International seeing as they qualify for free shipping but then while looking around on the used market just now i also found two R9 Fury Xs for $350 a pop, so the question is, is the $100 extra for the Fury X worth it? one of them is from MSI and one is from Sapphire and the Fury is a Sapphire Tri X if that makes any differance here.
  3. Just got 2 8700k's , ROG STRIX Z390-E gaming mobo , and a Corsair H100i. My budget is $1,000 - $1,500. I have my old PC to take parts from, if the parts are compatible. Having 2. 8700k's was thinking build one as cheap as i can so I'm able to game, then max out the next build over time. Really cant wait to try Intel as I've had AMD all my life! Biggest problem I've had is with GPU price's VS productivity. Not really wanting to spend that much on GPU without advice or more research! Any help with the build or just knowledge of parts, GPU - Memory - Storage - Power Supply "speeds, prices, compatibility ETC." Would be greatly appreciated. PS. Any monitor opinions/suggestions would be awesome. Kinda in the dark there as well. Is it pointless to have nice GPU with crap display? eGPU

Good evening everyone. I’m in the market for eGPU dock, but can’t seem to find one thats compatible with R9 Fury X. Does anyone know a compatible dock? I plan on pairing it with Razer Blade Stealth. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I'm in the market for a graphics card upgrade and my budget is pretty much 200. Here's my current list. I'm upgrading from an HD 7970, which I've had since August and while it was good for the price ($85 used), it bottlenecks ever since I upgraded to a Ryzen 2600X. I'm torn between a used R9 Fury X and a GTX 1070. I understand that in the majority of games, the 1070 performs about 10-15% percent better, however the Fury X comes on top in some games. They both cost $210 on eBay right now, so the 1070 seems like the obvious choice. But I have a FreeSync 75Hz Monitor, which the Fury X is compatible with. I plan on playing intensive games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Metro: Exodus when they come out (I'm getting the card for Christmas). So the question is, which card should I go with? The Fury X comes with a water cooler (which would be amazing) and FreeSync. The 1070 has undeniable good performance for the price. Is FreeSync really worth it? Another option is the R9 Fury, which I can get right now for $140. It's not water cooled, and has about 10% worse performance than the Fury X - but it does have FreeSync, and that spare $70 can be used towards other important things. I'd like to keep the budget as low as possible, and throughout my incredibly thorough research (searching eBay for random cards off the top of my head), there is not an in-between. I've been told about the benefits of FreeSync, but I just don't know how beneficial it really is (my HD 7970 is not compatible with it). What should I go with? Any input is appreciated.
  6. So I might be one of the only ones left at this point but I'm running a R9 Fury X with the reference watercooler and have used MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan/pump curve to make the pump stop at idle. I know that it is inevitable that eventually the AIO will run low on fluid and create all kinds of thermal and acoustic issues and I'm starting to see (and hear) signs on that already so my solution was to set that custom fan/pump curve to make the pump do the least amount of work it has to, that means even under full load the pump normally doesn't exceed 1,000RPM. Now I could just turn the system off instead of letting all the remaining fluid in the AIO flow through the graphics card and eventually go to evaporation and condensation but the issue with that is my only boot drive is an old and very slow HDD that takes a long time to boot then sees disk utilization pinned at 100% in task manager for five minutes after. Anyway with all of that said long story short should I deal with the excessive noise from my AIO running out of fluid, deal with the long wait and constant 100% disk utilization after boot, or deal with an idle temperature of about 45°C due to not running the pump under idle? PS load temperature generally stays under 70°C without much trouble from the struggling pump Any feedback is appreciated, thank you!
  7. Hello LTT forum! I hope you all are having a good day and I have a question for you. I am going to build a high end gaming system and have decided on all the parts except for the GPU's which I'm currently a bit unsure of. Until recently I was planning on buying two Fury x cards and call it a day but now I'm thinking would it be better to have two 980 ti's instead? Currently that would exceed my budget by a lot and I would instead having to buy one of the 980 ti's now and pop in another one later. However since the price of two 980 ti is roughly the same amount as three Fury x would it confuses me even more. So in conclusion which option is better: buying two fury x right now and maybe buy a third one later on OR buy one 980 ti now and wait an even longer time for another 980 ti? Anyways thanks in advance for help!
  8. Hi. I am currently assisting a friend with building a new gaming PC. We have worked out every part except the GPU. He isn't sure whether to go for a GTX 980 Ti or an R9 Fury X. Eventually, he will throw the cards in SLI/Crossfire but isn't sure which card to buy as they each have their perks. Thanks, Alpha.
  9. i am building a system with a 6700k, r9 fury x, 8gb 2400 ram, 750gb sshd, and gigabyte z170x mb. would a 750w thermaltake psu be enough to give both the cpu and gpu a good overclock without any issue? would i be able too expand or upgrade in the future without any issues?
  10. Heii Guys! I'm about to build a new ring and playing with the idea to buy a r9 fury x. The vendor here in switzerland sells the ASUS, Sapphire and Club 3D. Any recommendations? are there ven any differences? the specs do look identical. Thanks ind advance!
  11. I have tried several games with and without CrossFireX, without CrossFireX they run fine, but since I have two cards I want to use both of them and when I run the same games with CrossFire on they start to lag, crash or not work the way they should (textures disappear/Flickering) Hardware 2 R9 Fury X (GPU) AMD FX-9590(CPU) Samsung 850 pro(SSD) asrock 990fx extreme9(MOTHERBOARD) 32gb of RAM Windows 10 Radeon Software Version 15.12 Cooler master 1200w silent pro gold GAMES CSGO: When full screen is on, Crossfire is on as well. So when the game starts to load CSGO freezes and it makes the entire PC to freeze as well. I am forced to reboot the system. Battlefield 4: Game starts normally and i am able to play it, but i get less fps with Crossfire on and there is also screen tearing/flickering. Warface: Also feels like i get less fps and all the textures in game flicker a lot. What can be the problem?

AMD soldered down nine LEDs on the back of the card that allow you to see the GPU load level. There are two DIP switches on the backplate that allow you to enable or disable the GPU Tach and allows you to change the color of the LEDs between red and blue to go with your case theme better. Eight of the LEDs are for the GPU load level and can be red or blue. The ninth LED light is green and when it is lit up it visually lets you know that the GPU is in AMD’s ZeroCore power mode. Fiji GPU does not support HDMI 2.0 and it is running HDMI 1.4a There are eight memory controllers in Fiji with two connecting to each of the four 1GB HBM memory chips.
