I want to buy a aftermarket cooler for my R5 2600 the stock one is not doing its job. The ambient temperature is high(35-40c) so it cant keep up. I am a student so my budget is tight maybe something under 50$? Specs: cpu: R5 2600 Cooler:Amd Stock mobo: Gigabyte B450m gaming Gpu: Rx 570(Sapphire pulse) Ram: 16 Gb

Hey, I was wondering how well a 5600 xt and a ryzen 5 2600 work together. I also have 16gb of ram. I would be getting a R5 3600 but it doesn’t work with my motherboard. Thanks!

I built my PC in November of 2019. Parts were (originally): r5 2600, asrock b450 pro4, (2*8)16gb 3200mhz crucial ballistix, gigabyte windforce rx 560 4gb, 256gb nvme ssd, 2tb hdd. It worked just fine and I successfully used it as a hackintosh just out of curiosity. I have since upgraded from that gpu to a powercolor rx 580 8gb. I have not tried to hackboot with the 580 until last night. I wanted to check that catalina would work with the upgrade so i uninstalled by game drive and boot ssd and installed the mac hdd. I did this because i thought it would be more simple than dual booting through bios. after i plugged the hdd in it wouldnt post. fans spinning and lights on, no post. i reset the hardware back to my boot ssd and game drive and it still wouldnt boot. I panicked and borrowed my friend's pc (r3 3200g, msi b450m pro-vdh max, evga gtx 960 2gb, (2*8) 16gb gskill 3600mhz stock but running at 2666mhz for some reason) so i could troubleshoot and make sure i didnt kill my parts. First I put my 2600 in his system. Booted just fine, so the processor wasn't dead. Next I put my 580 in his system with my 2600, boot successful. I then put his 3200g in my motherboard and booted just fine with on board graphics. so my motherboard, cpu, gpu, and ram are still working. I went back to my original config and didnt boot. It seemed to be a bios issue, so I went into the bios with the 3200g and set everything to default settings and tried my 2600 again, unsuccessful. I popped out the CMOS battery and left it out overnight so it would have plenty of time to discharge (I know that probably wasnt necessary but other people online said it could take that long). I put it back in this morning but still didn't boot. Any ideas? The next step I was gonna take was updating the bios. Considering how risky that could be, are there any other options that would work?

The temperature where I live is around 40 to 42 degree C. in afternoon. The CPU temperature sky rockets like crazy to about 75 to 82 degrees when playing GTA 5 (medium) on an RTX 2060.I think the stock cooler is no good and the case has only 1 fan in front and 1 at rear. No CPU OC done here and is at base clk of 3.8GHz.No background tasks running that puts load on CPU. Specs:2600 / 2060 / 16GB 3200MHz(AMP) / B450 TOMAHAWK / VS550

So recently I've noticed global warning is affecting my gaming experience. System specs: - R5 2600 @ 3.9GHz on all cores - Sapphire RX 590 Nitro+ @ 1650MHz GPU and 2250MHz Memory with fans running at 100% - Aorus Gaming Elite B450 motherboard - 3 intake Azza Hurricane 120mm fans - 1 cheap exhaust 120mm fan that came along with the cheap case Marvo CA-210 that has slots for 3 exhaust fans (1 at the back and 2 at the top) I don't really care about aesthetics that much because I put my case in a dedicated hole in my desk, but don't worry because it has plenty of space for a fairly good air flow. Acoustics are not a problem either because I'm a solo player so I just use my headphones and that's it. The problem I've been having is that since about a month ago, I've gotten crashes while playing because of the GPU. I noticed the crashes happen when the GPU temperature reaches +73C° approximately. I guess this temperature is unstable for the OC, because I used to reach stable 68-70C° and would never crash. I mostly play only AC Odyssey and I was able to notice the temperature reaches these values when I spend too much time in the menu. One other factor I think is affecting me is the room temperature. When I bought the system back in December 2018 the temperature was more stable at night when I play at about 21-22C°, but right now it's 24-25C° (I live in Costa Rica btw, tropical weather basically). Yesterday I played The Division 2 for like 20 min and the GPU reached 79° and the game crashed and then I said "no that's it, I need air flow..." In summary I used be able to play at the very edge of the crash before thanks to the room temp, but now I can't because it has increased. Since I'm no longer able to get around with the cheap air flow solution I have, I'd like to upgrade the intake and exhaust fans as well as get a heat sink for my R5 2600 to see if I can reach 4.2GHz. My questions would be the following: - What are the best high air flow fans I could get for my system? I need 3 intake RGB fans for the front (because it's the only part of the PC that can be seen), the other 3 exhaust fans can be ugly but with good performance. Maybe you can provide silent, value and high performance options. - What heat sink would be able to get me the 4.2GHz on my R5 2600 without being super over killed for my CPU? Again, maybe silent, value and high performance options would be good. Preferably high static pressure fans in the heat sink would be appreciated. - Would this even improve my situation with temps at all? Remember my RX590 is already running its fans at 100%. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am building a pc but I can't choose; should I get a Ryzen 5 2600 or a Ryzen 7 2700X? I am planning to use the pc for game development in programs like construct and coppercube and of course python and java IDE's. I also will use the pc for games like roblox, minecraft and (maybe) fortnite(my current pc can't handle fortnite:( ) My current list: I already have a 1TB HDD at home thats why I took 128GB storage. I created it on a Dutch site so there is one word you need to know: "zwart" means back. ITS A COLOUR NOT A FEATURE.

Recently I want to upgrade the CPU, MB and Memory for Gaming and Media editing work since I will open multi game in same times I will go for R5 2600 instead of i5 8400 but is it really a good timing to upgrade? That's confuse Since 1060 seems still good for another few year, I won't buy a new GPU If I got limited budget which around 380USD / 3000HKD Which MB and Memory will you guys recommend? MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC(1060HKD/135USD) or ASUS ROG STRIX -F GAMING(1165HKD/148USD) or other? For the memory I might go for Corsair Vengeance LPX/RGB 3000MHz 8G KIT(610HKD/77USD) #Ryzen R5 2600(1265HKD/161USD) Please Help

Specs R5 2600 Zotac GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition 1X8GB Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz DDR4 RAM I was playing AC Odyssey (2560x1080 - Ultra settings) and I noticed the game started stuttering very often (especially after Driver Update 440.97 could be a coincidence). usually the Avg FPS will be around 37-43. At first I thought the stutter is a GPU issue then i noticed the CPU usage spikes from around 60% to 100% for a second or two and the GPU usage drops from 99% to around 75% during that stutter. IS my CPU bottlenecking the GPU?

I just bought the r5 2600 and I used my old cooler from my fx 8350. The cooler has a coper base and 4 heat pipes. I replaced the stock 80mm fan with the fan from the wraith stealth and have it at max rpm 2600rpm. My issue is that when looking at reviews of the wraith stealth it seems like it gets better cooling than this much larger heat sink. My temps are while gaming with the witcher 3 average about 63c. When doing a hand break render it averages about 75c and this is all with the fan speed set to max. I am also using arctic silver 5 thermal paste and I have plenty of paste but not too much. I basically used what I always do when putting thermal paste on and never had a problem with it before. My main concern is that when I look at the reviews I am seeing much better temps with the wraith stealth even though its a much smaller cooler. Also note my case has three 120mm fans blowing in from the front and one 120mm blowing out from the back. It also has spots for 2 more 120mm fans at the top but I need to install them yet. I don't think they will help much but I'm gonna install them anyways. Thanks and I hope someone can shed some light on my situation.

Hello guys. I have two questions about overclocking Ryzen 5 2600. 1. How can I lower the voltage when the CPU is sitting IDLE? 2. If the voltage is high but the temperature is low, will this still hurt the CPU? Right now the CPU is at 4.1Ghz and 1.3125 Volts. Using the windows Power Plan, I was able to downclock the CPU when it's doing nothing, but the voltage stays the same. I am using MSI B450 Tomahawk and the overclock menu looks like this: This isn't a screenshot from my end. Simply from the menu Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance and I wish you happy Black Friday deals.

Hello good people, I just overclocked my Ryzen 2600 to 4.1GHz at 1.3125 V, using MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard and Noctua NH-U12S AM4 cooler. It runs at 59 degrees which I think is pretty good. Can you confirm? But now, I don't know what settings to put on the board so the CPU doesn't run at 4.1GHz and 1.3125 V at all times. Can you help me out with that? This is how the menu looks. This isn't my screenshot but one I got from the internet!

Hi, i'm building a new pc and i can't decide what motherboard to get.I will be using a ryzen 5 2600 (i want to overclock it decently to at least 3.9ghz) with 16gb ram at 3200mhz (do you think it's worth getting 3600mhz).The aorus mb costs 85$ the msi 100$ and the asrock 92$.I really think i should get the aorus one becuse of the features, looks and price but i don't know if gigabyte is trustworthy when it comes to motherboards. Some people in reviews say the had trouble enabling xmp and getting their ram to run at high speeds but again some people don't really understand how these things really work.I like it because it has a really beefy power delivery for the cpu with loads of vrms. What do you think?Do you suggest something completely different? Thanks in advance!!!

hey so, I have an rx 580 with a ryzen 5 2600. 8x2 lpx ddr4 2666mhz ram. 1tb x 256 ssd. I've tried so much different things from clearings ddu and trying old drivers. I had a gtx 950 with this setup before and fortnite worked fine. This is a way better gpu and im getting stutters. I did reinstall the games and all that. Every other game works perfect. Warzone max settings 1080p 75 fps no stutters. Rise of tomb raider max settings 55-60 fps 1080p. Just flicking fortnite is laggy. I dont care about the game much but I still do play ot sometimes and Its bothering me that I have a good setup and I can't play a game like that. It goes from 75 fps max settings to 20-30 every couple seconds. Relive is turned off. Idk what else to do. I need some help please

motherboard Need your help for choosing MOBO
Timberjack posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello dudes. I've watched tons of videos about pc parts such as overclocking, balancing, etc.And after i've done with my investigations and finally was ready to take rest from pc hardware search. Eventually i realized that as long as i want to overclock shit out of my r5 2600 in order to catch up with gtx1080 i need a proper mobo. The problem is that for a awhile i've believed that Gigabyte AX-x370 k5 is the best choice for me as long as it was recommended by Buildzoid. But then i found another video in AHOC channel that shows how much pain in the neck is to do a decent overclock. Buildzoid states that gigabyte board has bad voltage sensors and poor vrm ,not ok but really poor.Buildzoid overcloced that cpu somehow with his DIY voltage sensor but i know that if i buy that MOBO i wouldn't bother so much on it's crappy voltage sensors and abandon OC-ing. On the other hand there is a Asus prime x370 -pro mobo wich has a good vrm but lacks clockgen and that completely confused me . To be honese i can't understand what clockgen does and since i've watched tons of videos where guys are overclocking with Asus x370- pro. So what i've wanted is can you give me some help in choosing motherboard for OC. And if you have asus prime x370 - pro what is your experience (temps, stability, voltage sensors, ram, etc)? Please take into account that by rig will ber properly ventilated, and the heatsink i'm going to buy is already overkill for 65w tdp cpus. And im going to use ryzens stock cooler to cool vrm as buildzoid did ), and i know that i need to OC RAM too in order to get maximum from ryzen 5 2600. Here is my build . https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Timberjack/saved/vgPwVn MY LIMIT FOR MOBO IS UNDER 150$ -
One of my friends (J), isn't really that tech saavy, but wants to join the PCMR (primarily for gaming).
