My 1st problem is whenever i turn ON the PC the keyboard doesn't work. It's a RGB keyboard, the lights and toggels key's light are ON with keyboard is not functional. I've to re-plug the keyboard then it works completely fine. My 2nd problem is my keyboard doesn't work on one of the USB port which is next to the PS/2 port on motherboard. I tried to connect the keyboard on other USB ports it works fine, i tried using mouse on the same USB port which is also working fine then why is not the keyboard.

Hi i need some help on some technical stuff!!! Im thinking of converting my, telephone port into a ethernet access point. I secured a contractor willing to do the work. But i just wanted to ask anyone who has exp in this. Doing this GUARANTEES that i can get the network speed that service providers promise right? My modem guarantees a speed of 2.5gb/s. I dont expect exactly that, but it should at least be 1gb/s right? Those who have experience with this, pls comment what you would expect my speed to be? P.s the distance between my room that im having conversion is abt 15 meters

B420M DS3H V2 or B550M AORUS ELITE for my setup?
tikoiteko posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello! I've been buying some parts for my new computer this week in different shops (for the best prices) and now after researching a lot i'm not sure which mobo i should get to this setup: RYZEN 5 5600X RX 6750 XT Mech KINGSTON FURY BEAST (NON RGB) 2X 8GB 3200MHZ GIGABYTE P650B 650W COOLER MASTER HYPER 212 BLACK EDITION WDGREEN NVME M.2 1TB GALAX REVOLUTION 5 (i didn't find this case outside of Brazil, here is the link: https://www.amazon.com.br/dp/B09Y64LFWJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) Some of my concerns about b450m: - doesn't have an aRGB plug (which i think i'll need to use for the 212 and the case fans) - Not PCIe 4.0 (tbh, i don't really know if it makes a difference) - Only one m2 plug - I don't know if it will be able to draw the performance from my cpu / gpu Concerns about b550m: - it costs 40$ more in Brazil -
One 1440p monitor For gaming at 1440p and emulation I wanna upgrade my old coffee lake processor to something that can make best utilization of my RTX3070(Undervolted). Can anyone recommend me what CPU to buy that is good for not just today but will serve me well if i upgrade my GPU sometime down the line, while being budget friendly. I'm looking at the ryzen 7700 or the 7800x3d as both are very efficient (I've got a 550w psu) but cant decide for sure.

Hi guys I've never build a pc but i want to do it now. Right now at a very suboptimal time Budget (including currency): 2000€ (for everything, excluding VR headset) Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VR gaming, Development of AR applications, Minecraft, Cyberpunk, Anno Series, Skyrim with mods Other details: I need everything except the mouse and a second monitor. I prefer to buy in the next few days. Should last a few years. The PC should be silient thats why i went with be quielt! I don't need RGB and a glass side panel is optional. I need a disk drive! 4k would be nice. Originally i planed to combine an i7 with an RTX 3080 but not at the current prices. I need two monitors. I would use my 10 year old monitor as a second monitor for either a 4k or FHD main monior. I could buy a used graphics card like 1080 ti now and upgrade in 1-2 years. Yes, this would scale down the pc to FHD instead of 4k. Is this a smart idea? Regarding resale value when things get back to normal. 2060 or 2070 have a better resale option, but there price is horrendous. Or should i go with an RTX 3060 and not upgrade in 1-2 years? A 3070 for 900€ is kinda half my budget... What is the difference between b460 and the z490? Im kinda lost. just the PCI Lanes and RAM speeds? Motherboard should have: One M.2 as OS drive and at least 3 sata ports for DVD/BR Drive, secondary HDD, and my Linux SSD as dual boot.. I'm totally lost when it comes to picking the motherboard and the reasons behind it. I really don't know what MB I should pick and definitely need help. What is the deal with AMS vs Intel when it comes to price/performance? I have many different programs open at the same time (university). Does this mean that i need a good multicore performance? I just had some questions before upgrading my build. I'm planning on switching from an intel 7600k to a ryzen 5800x, and I wanna make sure I don't mess anything up. Questions I have: Will I have problems switching from intel to amd? Will I have to buy another windows license? Or will my old one still be good? I have a 250gb wd ssd, which is my bootup drive, in my current pc. If I need another windows license, do I still need the 250gb ssd? Or could I just use a different ssd? Thanks in advance!

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gJ8znL Budget (including currency): ~$2000-2500, willing to go over a bit if necessary, also praying that gpu prices go down Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any game i can get my hands on, possibly some machine learning Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I've been able to play most games I wanted to, but I had to skip some that were a bit more graphically demanding. My current video card is this radeon hd 7700 I'm a college student and I plan on running some ML tasks in the near future but I'm also gonna be doing a fair bit of gaming. Will probably go for 3 monitors, maybe not 4k but I'm thinking of possible future upgrades. I have a few questions that i couldn't really find clear answers to through guides alone. 1. Is getting a GPU anywhere close to MSRP just a dream? 2. Is the CPU worth it or do i go for 12600k? is it a waste of money or nice to have at least? 3. Is the power supply good enough or should i go for 850W just in case? 4. Will everything fit in the case? how can i tell? Looking at dimensions alone gets me confused. 5. Is the CPU Cooler good enough? I hate having to think about maintenance so water cooling doesn't sound very appealing. 6. It possible that some component might be "too good"? As in, I can't get the best out of it because of some bottleneck (e.g. could the motherboard not be good enough to handle everything at top speed?). Any extra opinions are welcome. Thanks

Wasn't thinking of getting one but safer than sorry Even a gt710 is inflated! Welp.

Hi, I want to upgrade to windows 11 and I know my specs meet the requirements but I’m having questions with the tpm. In this photo I get a warning before switching from discrete to firmware tpm. My questions are, if I do this change and let’s say I forgot the recovery keys or the chip is replaced will I be locked of my external hard-drive so I won’t be able to access any of my files again, like my pictures, videos etc? And is this change going to bring anymore risks?

I recently purchased a used msi 2060 ventus oc from a local and it was working fine for the first day, nothing wrong was happening clocks were stock, no crashes. I go and shut down my pc to sleep for the night then, the next morning I turn it on it has the cpu and dram leds blinking. I reset the cmos and it works fine again, I restart and it works fine for the rest of the day. Shut down during night then next day the cpu and dram leds blink again so I reset cmos and works again. Can someone tell me why it only does this after on and off from night to morning? I did a memtest and none of my memory is faulty, I bought my cpu brand new 6 months ago. The gpu might be the culprit but why isn't the gpu led blinking then? I cannot test the gpu as the old one is no longer with me. I believe there is still warranty on the gpu but I'm just testing it out first before concluding on waiting a month for their warranty since it takes 15-30 days. Hi! I have a chance to update my MB+CPU+RAM and have some questions. My new CPU and RAM will be: AMD Ryzen R5-5600X G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 I'm deciding between these two motherboards: Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING Gigabyte B550 Aorus PRO V2 My questions: Would I get any benefits pairing Gigabyte board with Gigabyte RTX 3080? For example software compatibility or better fan tuning something like that. Is Gigabyte sound worse than ASUS one? I loved the B450-F sound. Anyone with one of these boards: How fast do they POST? Which of these boards would you pick and why?

Are cable extensions the same as modular power supply cables? Meaning I can remove the original cables and use custom cables only. Is a 120mm Nzxt m22 radiator with a 120mm Cooler master mf120 fan enough to keep a ryzen 7 3700x cool? Are there custom rgb graphics card covers/ where to buy. for a zotac gaming rtx 3060. Thank you.
