  1. Hello! I got a faulty Asus PRIME X570-PRO motherboard, and I'm trying to identify the root cause of the issue. Symptoms: when the power supply is connected the board, the RGB lights from I/O and chipset do turn on when I try to power on the system, the fan on the CPU and chipset do turn on the system does not POST-s, there is no Video output there is no activity on the Asus QLED indicators (DRAM, CPU, VGA, BOOT remain all Off) the system does not Turns Off / Reset from the Power / Reset switches (with long hold) - need to power cycle the PSU for Turn Off Tried two different CPU-s: Ryzen 5 3400G (2nd get with graphics) and Ryzen 5 3600 (3rd gen). RAM: G.SKILL F4-3200C16D-32GVK, DDR4-3200 16GB GPU: Radeon RX 4600 (tried with and without external GPU) PSU: 550W, 24 pin (MB) + 8 pin (CPU) connected (all the above components are known good) Tried CMOS reset, both with jumper and battery removal method. Any ideas what could be wrong? Is the lack of activity on the Asus QLED-s indicate something? Maybe a corrupted BIOS, or an electrical fault? In case of an electrical fault is there any chance to get a schematics (or repair guide) for the board? Thanks, Attila
  2. Hi, So i built my pc about a year and a half ago and since then its been running fine with a few issues here and there which i was able to fix. Yesterday, whilst playing apex, my game suddenly crashed and i encountered the blue screen of death. My PC kept on konstantly crashing, rebooting, bluescreen, rebooting, bluescreen, etc. There i tried clean restarts, reinstalling windows and what not, nothing worked when suddenly i just got a black screen with both my monitors saying no input detected. At that point i thought it was a GPU issue since my GPU is quite old and has been uded alot over the years, but when i tried it in a different computer it worked fine, so i ruled that out. Thats when I noticed the yellow qled on my MB indicating a DRAM issue. In order to fix this i attempted everything i was able to find: -Reinstalling my RAM sticks in the correct ports and cleaning them -Reinstalling my cpu, thermal paste and cooler to see if there was damage or installment issue and watching out not to screw the cooler on too tightly - Tried different cables, cleaning ports and making sure all the ports are plugged in properly - reset my cmos with battery and shortcircuiting the dedicated pins My specs are: RYZEN 3900X GIGABYTE WINDFORCE 980 Corsair Vengeance 32GB 3200Mhz ddr4 ram NOCTUA NH12A Asus TUF Gaming 570x Plus Corsair 750W Gold PSU Samsung evo 980 m.2 SSD (OS) Seagate barracuda HDD I would reall appreciate if someone could help me put with this because im really lost. I attached pictures of the QLED.
  3. Hey there, I'm currently deciding if I want to get the LG C1 (OLED65C17LB) or the Samsung Neo QLED QN90A (GQ65QN90AATXZG). I don't use sound at all as I have external speakers, I don't care about any features that I can think of really, I just want the best image quality I can get for this price. But now the question is: What is the best picture quality for my situation? I'm mostly using the TV in a dimmed room to watch movies or to play some games, around 2 hours a day. Now most people would tend to the OLED because of the low light situation, but is the worse color accuracy and missing HDR10+ support worth the trade-off for the good black color? (I'm a complete noob here, so this sentence might not have made any sense.) All help appreciated!
  4. I am looking for a new tv and I am debating between the Samsung NeoQled series and the TCL 6 series with miniLED. Both are miniLED but the TCL is cheaper. On paper it looks like the Samsung is slightly better but has a slower refresh rate. Also the TLC has Dolby vision where as the Samsung has HDR. Any suggestions? I just love watching movies no gaming for this tv
  5. I have a coworker who's looking to sell their TV mentioned in the title for $1000, used but flawless condition as far as I can tell. It's a 2020 model, but as far as I know, this TV was positioned at the mid-upper range of TVs. What do you guys think? Is that a decent price?
  6. Hello everyone, My TV decided not to work anymore tonight after I tried to increase the brightness, it shut down on its own and is now stuck in a bootloop. It seems the brightness level has become to high for the one connect box to handle, so when the TV tries to set itself to the maximum brightness value, it draws too much power and it shuts down. Video showing the issue : https://youtu.be/zE6Gm1uGZOA I paid $2000 for this TV only 2.5 years ago and it is already broken... I'm really annoyed, I expect this kind of crap from low end TVs, not high end Samsung ones. I tried another power outlet, tried leaving the one connect box unplugged for one hour, but no luck... Do anyone have any idea how to solve this issue ? I thank you in advance for your help. Regards, Azsde.
  7. Anyone have any idea when the new Samsung qled televisions will be coming out as in the ones shown on ltt ?
  8. Hello everyone, i'm planning to buy a new TV on a budget, mainly for watching films and occasional gaming I can't make my mind about these two models Q70R and Q70T, the Q70R has full array local dimming and better for watching HDR content, but is it worth paying an extra 100 USD knowing that i will also lose HDMI 2.1 as the Q70R doesn't have it.
  9. Soooo I thought I would hit off my first post in this community (long time LTT fan) with a review about the Samsung Frame TV (2020 Model). I hope you guys like it! If you not really into reading, i will link you to my review video at the bottom of the post. Oh, and if anyone is wondering: My first language is German. - HARD FACTS - The TV features 4K resolution, offers HDR and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The peak brightness is about 550 nits. The TV uses the so called QLED technology, which among other things delivers extremely low input lag. The screen comes with the Samsung one Connect Box, offers a HDMI 2.1 Port and also Freesync support. The operating system is Tizen OS. The so called NoGap-Wallmount is also included. The TV comes in following sizes: 75 inch, 65 inch, 55inch, 50inch, 43inch and 32inch. Just be aware, only the screens bigger than the 50inch model offer 120HZ, the 32 Inch Model is only 1080p. So all my following statements should be valid for the 55inch, the 65 inch as well as the 75inch model. Currently (Early January 2021) the prices are the following: 32" Model: 470€ / 600$ 43" Model: 800€ / 1000$ 50" Model: 1000€ / 1200$ 55" Model: 1100€ / 1300$ 65" Model: 1500€ / 1700$ 75" Model: 2300€ / 2800$ -Design- If you are thinking about buying a Samsung Frame TV, then you are probably doing it for the design. Well, that’s at least that what I did. I didn’t want to have a huge black box sitting on an ugly television stand. I wanted a television that blends into the living room, and doesn't stand out. The Samsung frame series offers itself for that purpose for several reasons. First off all the TVs come with the so called “nogap-wallmount”, which lets you mount the TV really close to the wall. If you have a perfectly straight wall, then the no gap claim actually delivers. The walls in my apartment are about 100 years old but still, the TV sits really flat. The second feature that lets the TV blend in better is the included one-connect box. There is just once tiny cable that needs to be connected to the TV. This small optical cable powers the TV and carries all the HDMI, USB, Audio and Network connections. By using some nice cable management its quite easy to make this cable almost invisible. If you have dry wall, it would also be easy to just route the cable inside the wall. And last but not least this television offers the so-called ART-Mode. Here the TV displays professional artworks from famous painters and photographer. You can select what kind of border you want as well for even better immersion. Furthermore, the TV adjusts the brightness regarding the brightness of the room. Just be aware, there is only a very limit selection for free available, but you can sign up for a monthly subscription. I just would suggest putting your own pictures in the art mode. Of course, thats free of charge. When everything comes together, the result, in my opinion, is really great. Especially when art mode is activated, the TV just blends way better into the living room than any other TV I have ever seen with my own eyes. You probably couldn’t fool everyone by saying that they are looking at an ordinary artwork, but I would say it comes pretty close. And having all the cables and ports packed away is a huge plus for me. You also can buy additional frames for your frame (ha!) if you want to customize it. These frames clip to the TV via magnets. -Picture Quality- Im going to be honest right from the start. You do not get the best image quality for the price. Don’t get my wrong. The Frame offers a gorgeous 4k screen. The contrast is very high, the colors a vivid but still really accurate. To precise, the contast raio is about 8000:1, which is just an awesome result. That also means that the black levels are really black, but of course far from OLED-Levels. The viewing angles are just okay. Thanks to the high brightness of about 550 nits glare is not really an issue, even if your room is quite bright. But still, for that much money, you would get a higher rated model from Samsung or other brands. You not only pay extra for the beautiful looking design, but also for the included One-Connectbox and the NoGapWallmount. For example, the TV does not offer any local dimming, so the HDR experience is by far not as good as it could be for the price. You just have to ask yourself, how much the design is worth to you. -Ports- The Samsung One Connect box offers a decent amount of ports. You get four HDMI ports, one of which is HDMI 2.1. Furthermore, it offers two USB ports, a ethernet port, digital audio out, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a TV Tuner. The HDMI 3 Port supports the new eARC protocol. For some reason, the USB ports only offer 2.0 speeds. The HDMI 2.1 is listed as supporting 4k at 120HZ at a 10bit with a 4:4:4 chroma sub sampling. For some reason, this is still a little bit buggy in combination with the PS5 (XSX seems to work fine), as it wont work with HDR when you are trying to play a Game at 4K with 120Hz. But Samsung seems to be working on an Update. -Input Lag & Gaming- I don’t own any precise mesuarement tools to measure input lag, so im refearing to the great and detailed review of RTINGS.com. There they mention that the input lag is amazing. Its very low in Game Mode or PC Mode. Even while using a 10bit HDR signal the input lag is still very low. I played quite a lot of Rocket League on my PC, and was quite suprised how nice it felt playing on the Frame. Thanks to the low input lag, 120Hz Panel and HDMI 2.1 this TV is just awesome in terms of gaming. Doesn’t matter if you use a PC, a next gen console or even an older model. -Operating system & remote- Over the last couple of years, I got to experience a lot of different TV operating systems so far, but I have never used Tizen OS before which Samsung uses on this TV. Compared to my experiences with AndroidTV or my FireTV stick, this operating system is really snappy. After some time, I always felt that, especially AndroidTV starts to get laggy over time. So far I haven’t had any issues with this one. Its easy to use, and even people that are not tech savvy will find everything they need quite fast. TizenOS also comes with its own app store, and you will find all your typical stuff there like Netflix, Disney+, Plex and so own. Still, the store doesn’t offer the wide range of different apps as the AndroidTV store. I got all the apps I needed though, like SteamLink and also the app of my local Austrian TV broadcaster. Your mileage may vary though. So just leave a comment if you want to know if a certain app is available. The remote feels really nice. Its pleasant to use because it doesn’t have that many buttons, so you will find the right button blindly. You get your four cursor buttons with a big center button in the middle. You got a volume rocker which also functions as a mute button and an additional channel rocker. There is one dedicated button for voice commands which you can use if you into that sort of thing. There is also a dedicated Netflix, an Amazon Prime and a RakutenTV button. I could imagine that, depending on the region, these buttons could be different. Even though I like the simple design, I think that a few extra buttons would have been nice. I don’t understand that there is no dedicated fast forward / backward button. It just doesn’t feel that intuitive to do that with the cursor buttons. I also would prefer to have a menu button that always shows up the context menu in a certain situation. #Sound quality The sound quality of the build in speakers is really decent. That’s probably due to the fact that the TV is a little bit thicker than other modern TVs. It get quite loud, the highs sound clear, but of course the TV lacks in terms of bass. If you not a audiophile person, you probably are just fine with the build in speakers. But even a generic soundbar will enhance your listing experience. In my review video on YouTube there is a short audio comparision at the 8 minute mark. #Summary Design first, everything else second would be a fitting headline for this television. It’s just so obvious that Samsung but a lot of thought into designing a nice looking television It’s not just the look of the hardware but also the software. Art mode helps to blend in the television way more than I would have expected. Luckily, the picture quality also doesn’t fall short, you still get an amazing contrast ratio, the brightness levels are also impressive. The HDR experience is, compared to the price, by far not the best that you could get, but other than that I never thought that I am missing out on anything. Tizen OS is snappy, and all the apps that I need are in the store and work flawless. The OneConnectbox makes cable management so easy and tiddy. You need to decide for yourself how important design is for you and if you want to pay a little bit extra for it. If you more into watching my review in video form, there you go: If you have any questions regarding this television just hit me up and leave a comment. I hope you enjoyed this little review. I will now start browing through the forum to see if it is as crazy as the average LTT video comment section
  10. LG is for $500 while Samsung is $680, however which is better? Or are there any other great looking ultrawide monitors in this price range? Need some help. The idea of a QLED monitor sounds great... but is it worth the premium? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1574085-REG/lg_35bn75c_b_35_ultrawide_ips_monitor.html/qa https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1405059-REG/samsung_c34j791_34_qhd_3440x1440.html
  11. I have a gaming pc upstairs which is connected to my Samsung qled downstairs via a 25 meter fibre optic hdmi2.1 cable. (Inspiration from linus) Now for the first 6 months everything worked fine but as of now I'm getting no audio. I've tried every setting that I can think to change both on windows 11 & on the TV but still can't get audio to work. Sound would usually come out via my soundbar which is connected via earc or via headset connected via the tvs optical port but now I can't get either. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
  12. So I came home today and turned on my pc but my monitor, keyboard or anything else didn't turn on but all the fans were running. I checked my motherboard board and the cpu qled was always on. I tried some things like checking if all the cables were in or if the cpu is damaged, I tried replacing the battery on the motherboard but it's still not working. The weird part is it was working perfectly fine the day before. Please help me
  13. Looking to upgrade my bedroom TV for the last few years I've had a 55" 1080 TV in the bed room and haven't really done much with it. I watch mostly YouTube and stream movies and TV shows occasionally. I've got a fairly capable PC with a 7600k and a 3070ti and am looking to get a xbox series x in the new year. I'm now looking to upgrade and I'm stuck at a cross roads between QLED or a cheap OLED both have amazing reviews both from good companies but just looking on other opinions. Samsung QE50QN90AAT neo QLED: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/samsung-qe50qn90a-50-inch-neo-qled-tv Only 1 port supports 120 @4K LG OLED48C1: https://www.whathifi.com/reviews/lg-oled48c1-48-inch-oled-t All 4 ports can go to 120hz @4k There is another one if I don't want to sacrifice size but it's locked to 60 hz LG OLED55A16LA 55" Any advice or opinions would be hugely appreciated and thanks in advance
  14. Hi guys. For the past year or so I've been playing my games on my 4k Tv (It is a Blaupunkt 75" 4K TV, I believe I have the 2020 model) and the experience has been pretty good with a large screen but I feel like I'm not getting the most out of my 3080ti on an LCD panel and being limited to 60HZ. I play games like GTA with NVE installed and Cyberpunk where they are quite visually spectacular. Now I was looking at OLED TVs in a comparable size as I did get to try out the Aorus F048U for a while and LOVED it. From my research the "best" gaming TV people seem to agree on is the LG C2 77" Self Lit OLED EVO 4K TV (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-c2-77-self-lit-oled-evo-4k-ultra-hd-smart-tv-2022?queryID=70120663b8526532d1236682684407d2&objectID=588546). However the new placeI have moved into actually has a far bit more space for my TV so going larger is possible. While researching I found the TCL 98-inch C735 (https://www.harveynorman.com.au/tcl-98-inch-c735-4k-qled-smart-tv.html). This one has a 120HZ VRR over the LGs 100HZ display but it seems like a bit of an unknown quantity, I saw an article saying it was only released 8 days ago but I'm not sure how accurate that is. I was just wondering if anyone had any insights as to what they prefer, QLED or OLED and if having such a massive screen size is worth sacrificing the OLED experience. My bedroom is totally light controlled so OLED dimness isn't an issue and the TVs themselves are within a few hundred dollars of each other depending on the website, I have heard good things about TCL panels but have never experienced one myself. Edit: I added in the local listings as these prices seem to vary wildly depending on where you live
  15. Hi ! So I recently moved to an appartment and I would like to buy a TV. The problem is that I know a lot about gaming monitors, but when it comes to TV, since I dont game on it, I dont know much. I have a budget of 400-700$ US (With taxes of course), but I can put a small extra if its VERY worth it. The TV will primarly be used for watching show/anime/movie and will (very very rarely) be used for gaming on a switch. 4k is necessary for me and i would like it to have nice colors. It will be used in both dark and bright room, but it will never be directlt hit by sunlight and will be used more in dark room. I am thinking about getting a 50" or 55". The smart TV is an extra but not necessary at all. It will not be mounted. I normally look at Sony, LG and Samsung for TVs, but I read a lot about Hisense recently. I see a lot of recommandations for the Hisense U6G, U7G and U8G. I also saw the LG 55NANO75 ! I am open to any recommandation, but I wont lie, I very rarely try less known brand like Hisense/TCL. Let me know if you need more informations ! Thanks a lot :)
  16. So I recently have started building my pc and everything is going well, lights are turning on, all my fans are running, and my bios shows everything is going well. However, my Asus motherboard (Tuf Gaming x570 plus wifi) is stuck with a green qled for a boot problem. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x GPU: Evga GeForce 1070 ti Memory: Gskill Trident 16gb DDR4 Storage: Samsung 980 pro 2tb m.2 nvme SSD PSU: Corsair RM750x Cooler: Corsair H100i Elite Capillex Case: Corsair Carbide 275R I already tried taking out the ssd, cleaning it, seating it back in, and putting it into a different m.2 slot. When I put it in the different m.2 slot further away from the CPU the bios recognized my ssd in Storage, but the green qled on the Asus motherboard was still on. So I went to advanced boot settings in bios and saw my ssd was set as Boot Priority #1. I also enabled CSM and reset CMOS battery. Bios looks fine just the qled won't turn off. Any help any of you can give is appreciated.
  17. hey I would like to get a TV about 65" and don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Any help would be awesome.
  18. I'm looking to upgrade my main gaming monitor, and I've been looking at ALIENWARE 34 CURVED QD-OLED GAMING MONITOR - AW3423DWF. However with acer's Predator X27U coming soon, should I wait for that, or is their a better option that I am not aware of? My other 3 monitors are 4k, but i'm not seeing a monitor as good as those 1440p ones
  19. Hello guys. I'm between 2 monitors, one is a 27" Samsung qled TN panel non hdr with freesync and the other is a LG ips hdr freesync monitor. Now TN is known for bad colors but the Samsung has 125% RGB and qled. The LG has 99% RGB but is IPS and hdr. I'm not a competitive gamer so Ms is not my first priority. What monitor will provide the best colors/quality?? Is TN qled superior to the IPS HDR???
  20. We were planning on buying an Oled tv until we heard that Oled can't handle bright rooms that well. Is it better to go with a Qled or stay with Oled. Our curtains block the light partially.
  21. I'm looking for a tv for around 3800 euro's. I am planning on putting it in the living room where there is medium-high lighting but there are curtains. I don't know a lot about tv just that oled is a good technology, I hope you guys can help me out! Thanks in advance.
  22. So I am planning on buying a new tv because the one I have right now sucks. It is probably going to be one of these three: Samsung qled 8k 65q800t (3999 with a s20 for free) LG 65gx6la (3599) LG 65e9pla (2349) Which one do you guys think is best for the price? My current phone is s10 plus so I could possibly sell it.
  23. Hi, I've been looking for a new monitor for quite a long time now. And I was about to buy something 1440p, around 144hz, IPS and working with G-Sync gpu, I would say, here in EU it's somewhere around 800-900€. That might be something like ViewSonic XG270QG or AORUS FI27Q-P. But then after some time, Samsung QLED monitors started surfacing. They offer everything from things above, except they have VA and FreeSync only, but from what I've read they should be G-Sync compatible. And they are often half amount the IPS monitor money. (the Samsung C32HG70 for example) So my question is, why would anyone buy any IPS panel over the QLED Samsung one? If it has all of the things + it's a lot cheaper... It confused me again since I was really decided about it. Thank a lot for reading this, have a nice day, and stay healthy on the American continent!
  24. I have a weird problem on my old rig. The system started to freeze several times by random and eventually wouldn't post at all. The pc starts normally with fans spinning and all but hangs to the orange dram led indicating my ram is faulty. My PC specs: -Asus Z170 Pro Gaming/AURA -16Gb (2x8) Kingston HyperX ddr4 2666Mhz -i5 6600K -Sapphire RX480 -650W Seasonic Core GM-650 psu I checked both memory sticks on another system and they worked fine. I get the same dram fault even if ram is not installed and try to boot. I've checked all the cables, replaced the CMOS, reset the RTC, reinstalled the CPU, tried without the GPU but no effect. I've searched the forums before but couldn't find someone with similar problems. Could this mean I have a dead motherboard? Any more ideas how to fix this?
  25. hey guys i am new here, during these quarantine i had no work and even in our house had a old tv so i thought of replacing it with a new tv . then i left the LCD because it had very less contrast ratio so i was left with QLED and OLED help me choose and also reply why would you choose the QLED or OLED
