Hello all! I'm finally purchasing my build piece by piece and i have some questions now. I posted on this forum months ago asking for some advice on radiator specs and people suggested that, for cooling both my CPU and GPU (both of which i want to heavily overclock for production purposes), I should use a 360mm radiator. That sounds great, it even gives me the option of cooling a second GPU! the problem is this: the NZXT S340 Elite. I like it. The only good place (seemingly) for a radiator in that case is in the front as the intake, which is what i wanted my radiator to be anyways. The problem is that it's limited to a 280mm rad! I feel like that's enough for an R7 1700 OC and a 1080 ti OC but I'm nervous. I'd also like to set up the radiator in the push/pull form since i hear that's the best one. What are the rules on the fans in a push/pull set up? Like RPM and the like. I have 3 noctua nf-f12's from an old build that I'm going to use instead of the fans that come with the fractal design s36... Do you think I should still use the ones that come with the s36 in pull and put the noctua ones in push? or is it just not worth extra noise and not being able to access the radiator to clean it as easily? I'm trying to make up my mind on that before it comes in the mail. Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards just doing a pull configuration with the noctuas and ditching the fans that come with it.. That'd look at lot cleaner and less bulky.

Hello guys, I've recently been hearing that fans are bad at pulling, I knew that but I heard it enough times recently to make me doubt my decision to go with pull on my H100i V2. I do know there will be less dust buildup with a pull config but are temperatures gonna go down by a significant amount in push vs pull? The liquid or CPU I have don't even come close to dangerous temps but I'd just like to make it as cool as possible since this costs nothing to do other than 15 mins. Thanks

Hi! I am thinking of buying three extra ML120 basic fans and do a push/pull configuration of my H150i. The easiest way would be to buy three 1 to 2 PWM adapters and plug into the pump, then all fans would be controlled by the unit itself. Would this work? Can the pump manage to drive 6 fans?

I have tried to find information about it but it seems I can't get the wording right. Sorry if this is a repeating question that gets answered. I currently have a 240mm radiator in push configuration. I really want to try a push+pull configuration but my hard drive cage is in the way. Unfortunately, the cage is riveted and some modding is required in order to remove it. So, in order to reduce modding, can I run 3 fans, 1 in a push and the other 2 in a push-pull configuration without consequences?

Hello all - this may be a nitpicky question, but I have time to kill until my new parts arrive. Through much trial and error, I recently realized that my Corsair h100v2 AIO is dying off after 14 months. I thought my sudden heat issue was due to needing to replace the liquid metal in my delidded i7-7700k. I even bought a new all copper IHS from Rockitcool that is 15% larger. I also used high pressure compressed air and cleaned out the radiator fins. Unfortunately after all the time, effort and expense, it didn't fix my sudden heat issues. I used to be fully stable at 5.0 GHz and under 70c while gaming... all of a sudden im about 15 to 20c higher. Also the time it takes to cool the liquid after stopping a Prime95 test has also gone up significantly. Rapping my knuckles against the pump once seemed to drop my idle temps as well. After doing the whole relidding process again I ended up leaving the clock speed set to standard, avx at -2, turbo boost off and C1E enabled to keep temps very low until I get the AIO replaced. Luckily Corsair will do Advanced RMA so I can get a new cooler first and then send mine back. Now on to the main question: The h100v2 comes with two now discontinued SPL 120mm PWM Fans Specs: Max RPM: 2700 RPM CFM: 74.42 Dimensions: 120mm X 120MM X 25MM Connection: 4-PIN PWM Fan Noise: 37.68 Dba 4.65 mm-H20 I want to do a push + pull 4 fan setup. One of the two fans I originally added is starting to die out and were not high static pressure fans anyway, so I decided to buy 2 new fans. I wanted high static pressure without sounding like a jet engine, though performance is more important than sound. After checking out the specs on a bunch of different fans, I ended up choosing the Corsair ML120 120mm Mag Lev fans, as they were the closest mm-H20 to the discontinued SPL 120mm fans, but slightly less static pressure: Max RPM: 2400 RPM CFM: 75 Dimensions: 120mm X 120MM X 25MM Connection: 4-PIN PWM Fan Noise: 37 Dba 4.2 mm-H20 Not a huge difference at all, but I was trying to figure out the best push/pull setup with these. I do push/pull sucking air from outside the case into the inside. I am guessing my best bet is to use the higher static pressure SPL fans to push and the slightly lower static pressure ML fans to pull. As I said I realize this is nitpicky, but figured I would ask for thoughts on this setup - or any other ideas as to why I am having sudden heat problems. Thanks!

OK, here's an easy one (I bet). If you put fans in Push/pull on a radiator, do you want both the push and pull fans to be static pressure? Obviously the push should be, but the pull? Has anyone done any research on this i wonder? Commence Operation Vacu-suck!

I would like to mount my Predator 360 in the front of my Define S. I want to keep the top moduvents on to be as quiet as possible. I believe the predator 360 comes with the fans in a pull configuration. I would need to flip the fans around to mount it on the front as in the picture. Does anyone see a problem with this? Will changing the predator to push affect performance? If so will it be greatly affected. I have already read the arguments for/against mounting the rad in the front venting hot air into the case and they seem to be about 50%for/against, does anyone else want to weigh in on this? I plan to eventually water cool the GPUs' so I don't think the extra heat in the case will be a problem. The 3 fans on the front rad will intake and I plan to use the 2 included case fans as exhaust, how does this 3 in 2 out sound to you guys? What would you change? THANKS! I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe case and a Corsair h110i GT (280mm). The only place that fits the 280mm radiator is the top of the case. Could someone recommend how I position my radiator and fans (like push, pull, or push and pull). Thanks for the help! P.S. im just getting simple Corsair red LED static pressure fans.

Hey, I was wondering if the H100i comes with the screws to do a push/pull configuration right out of the box? If they dont come with the box where can I buy them? I have a 780t case and I plan on having the pull on top of the roof and the radiator and push fans under the roof. If this helps, Im getting the Corsair Sp120mm Performance edition fans

I have 2 questions specifically on push/pull fan configurations on radiators. 1. Is it okay to do push/pull with different fans as long as both of their CFM are similar? 2. "If you're using push/pull fans, make sure that the push fan has about 10% higher CFM than the pull fan" - Is that true? Btw, I'm not doing push/pull just curious. I know it's not worth the money, but I just really want to know. And I suppose @MattP123 and @Jodomcfrodo can help me here.

got my H100i on friday and was wondering about fan replacements because the stock ones get really loud at times. Since the Gentle typhoons are hard to get a hold of nowadays i was thinking either 2x2 SP120 QE or (though i might have to grind my teeth about the colour of them) NF-F12's) since my rig is all black and red i would prefer the SP120's but i wonder what you guys would go for?

Right so as the title poorly phrases the question, I have a Corsair 350D and I have the H100 installed in the top with stock fans. I was wondering if it's possible to run it in push pull, or if anyone is. With the stock fans I think it's not possible, but maybe with some slimmer ones? So basically I'm asking 2 things here: 1: Is it possible to run push pull in the top of a 350D with the H100 2: If so with what fans is this being achieved with?

Would like to get some feedback on my proposed air flow diagram for my Phantom 820 case. They say that a negative pressure case is optimal for performance is this correct? If so will this diagram achieve that end? Using basically all stock fans except for the Kraken X60 those fans will be replaced with my recent purchase of 4 Akasa 14cm 140mm fans (AK-FN063). Even though some had recommended the Noctua A14-FLX 140mm's as a better performer and brand. Hi guys, was thinking of changing my setup for my build (below in sig). i know its not a NEW build but would i benefit from replacing my stock fan behing the rad with 2x SP120s in push pull? my idle temps are normally 40 degrees ..is it worth the investment? i mainly prefer the look of it also

So, im planing on installing NZXT Kraken X41's to my SLI GTX 780's and want to put the radiators in the front of my Corsair 760t. The thing is that i dont want to remove the AF140 white led in the front of the case because it looks so nice with the led, so my first thought is to have them as push and some noctua NF-A14 IPPC 2000rpm as pull. Is that possible or will the fans interfere with eachother? Maybe i should come up with some idea with a spacer or something?
