Living with friends at the moment and trophy hunting some games through my PSN on their PS5. I'm moving out in a few weeks and I only own a PS4 so I was wondering was there a way to export my save data so I can import it into my PS4? This article shows how to do it from PS4 to PS5 but doesn't mention going the other way, has anyone done this before and is it even possible? Also, would there be a way to just export the save data through a USB or something similar because having to put my PS4 on the same network as the PS5 would be annoying.

audio PS4 Slim audio cuts in and out via audio extractor
MathewBoyd_ posted a topic in Troubleshooting
My main goal is to get my PS4 slim audio to my DAC through optical audio via an audio extractor (https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07BHYXVTY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 The one I am currently using). Right now I have my PS4 connected to my monitor and then my optical audio cable going into my DAC. However, the audio seems to cut out for a second and then come back a second later every 10 mins or so and I have no idea why. I have tried two different HDMI cables going into the input port on the extractor with the same result, i have tried another audio extractor ( https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0987C6K63/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) with the exact same result. I have also tried hooking up the audio extractor to my laptop to test and oddly the audio cuts out even more often about every 30 seconds. I am just lost as to why the audio would cut out and I am not sure what else I can do. I would really appreciate any help I can get, and thank you in advance -
Hey, Anyone know if there is a headset that plays sound from both devices (in my case PS4/5 and PC) that can connect with either: - Two bluetooth at once, no wires needed (PS4/5 and PC) -or- - One bluetooth (PS4/5) and one wired (PC) The most important thing here, is that I can hear sounds from both, voice chat from PS and general sound on my PC. I've been using Steelseries headset with the gamedac, and it's worked fine, but everytime I open a game on my PC, a buzzing/white noise starts, which is very annoying. And now I'm moving around my setup and would like to match the PS with a proper TV, while the PC is at my desk.

I have a 500 GB hard drive from a Playstation 4 Slim. My brother wants me to get the clips off it. The PS4 itself died and is gone. I've read online that even if I had another PS4, it wouldn't help because it would have newer firmware. There is recovery software that I can pay for that seems to extract all the photos and videos off the drive, but that pulls off literally every video and photo, which doesn't seem very useful. I'm not sure what I could do if anything. He has a PS5 now with the same PlayStation account, and as far as I can tell, clips didn't transfer and can't be transferred over the cloud in any way. Does anyone know a way I could somehow get his clips back?

Hi all, I was wondering about something. I played the Insomniac's Spiderman remastered on Pc using keyboard and mouse and also using controller. I was more comfortable using kb/mouse as i mostly play pc games using kb/mouse. What i want to know is if i play spiderman (or any other games) on ps5 using keyboard and mouse, will my experience be the same? The keys layout will be the same as pc ones or you have to set the keys yourself in each game?

So I have a bit of a weird one for you guys, and I'm not entirely sure I'm in the right place, but I need help so here I am. I just recently relocated my setup into a dorm room. I have a PS4, a wii u, and a custom pc rocking a Gigabyte B450m, ryzen 5 3600, 16 gigs of 3200mhz ram, a 1 terabyte SSD, and a 5600 XT to top it off. Upon setting up in my dorm, I found that my computer would post, but windows would not boot up, at least not visibly. My bios would boot no problem, but as soon as windows tried to boot I'd get a no-input message from my monitor. Booted into safe mode to check my driver's, check resolution, and all that stuff. Booted into safe mode no problem. Figured huh, that's weird, but for me to worry about a different day. Moving on to hook up my Wii U, I find that it won't display at all on my monitor. Damn, guess something must have broken in my Wii U during the move. So as a desperate attempt to play a game, any game, I hook up my PS4 and guess what, no display. Nothing. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Basically my coming here is to confirm my suspicion of... Is my monitor dead? Or is it in an way shape or form just my display cable? Any help you can offer is very much so appreciated. Love u guys.

The long and short of it is I have an HDMI cable running from my ps4 pro to my elgato 4k60 pro mk.2 and out from there to my LG oled tv. The problem is if I want to stream and capture my ps4 game play I have to disable HDCP on the ps4. But if I do that I can't use my Playstation to stream Netflix, Hulu, vrv, etc. Is there an easy fix? or is there some kind of hardware that would allow me to connect a 2nd output (one to the elgato and the other to the tv) I'd much rather change sources on my television and/or an HDMI switch than move the cable around everytime I use Netflix.

Okay, so I have genuinely done a tonne of looking into this and there is no straightforward and direct guide on how to do this or if it is possible anywhere that I can find. I want to convert a stock Dualshock 4 controller from having a plug and play Micro USB port to a hardwired cable terminating in USB Type A. I don't want to change anything else, just convert to a hardwired USB cable. Reason being the PS4 controller has always been my favourite fighting game controller for PC but no matter how many I have gone through I always end up with the same issue of the Micro USB port being really sensitive to motion and disconnecting intermitently when the controller is even slightly jiggled in my hand. Bluetooth connection is not a feasible solution due to the amount of input delay it generates. Is anyone able to explain to me or at least point me at a guide that will show me how to terminate a USB cable for power and data onto the board? (I'm pretty competent with soldering) Is this even something that anyone has done before me? Thanks in advance

I'm planning to buy ps4 despite the launch of the new ps5, because the console and games are cheaper than ps5 and I don't care too much about the performance of ps5. Buying ps4, will it be a good choice now and suitable for a long run?

So recently i thought about how can i make my ps4s more mobile. And i've come to an idea, that why just cant we use a laptop case and build everything on it. I saw couple boys already done something like it, but finish product was chungus. If somebody have ideas how to make something like that please join me in my brainstorming.

I got a wireless Bluetooth headphone, and I want to use it on my PS4. Currently, I bought a dongle that takes Toslink / Optical Audio and send it to my headphone, but it can only transmit audio. I know that there are wireless headphones that uses a dongle to connect to the PS4, like the Sony Gold Wireless Headset, but don't want to buy more headphones. Is there a dongle that can both receive mic inputs and transmit audio to my wireless headphone?

My ping is suddenly higher specifically on overwatch’s eu server. About 2 weeks ago I would get about 200-230 ping but now it’s at a constant 300ms. Nothing has changed on my end, same devices, same modem, router and isp. I could only imagine the isp has changed their route to the eu server. One thing to note is that I did have this issue about a month ago, but it seemed to be fixed once I factory reset my router. This time though, I’ve restarted, reset every network device I have but nothing improved my ping. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? As this has happened before once and it was resolved as previously mentioned. edit: forgot to mention that my ping in every other regional server on blizzard has the same latency as always.

Pretty much since I bought my PS4 a two to three years ago, I've had an issue where my screen goes black for a second or two, and sound cuts out for the moment too, then its fine. It only happens once at some point after I start the console, several minutes in, and then it never happens again. I got PSVR as well and the issue used to only happen on the TV, but eventually when it happened, it would affect the PSVR for a second as well. I've never found any help relating to this issue as anything I find always talks about regular screen flickering, which isn't my problem. I've just lived with the issue because although annoying, it doesn't usually impact me unless it happens during a cinnematic in which I miss out on some dialogue and any action in that moment. I have tried swapping out HDMI cables but it didn't make a difference, and I don't have any issues with any other consoles I use on the TV. I'm not sure what other troubleshooting there is for this. Anyone have any ideas?

I got a PS4 as a “gift” from a friend. They did tell me it has a BLOD issue. I’m not even sure if this qualifies as the BLOD but it shows the blue lights and beeps when the power button is pressed. After that, when the power button is pressed again, it just beeps and shows no lights whatsoever. I’m lost. https://streamable.com/x46y67 You can have a look at the above video. Waiting on a response, thank you! 88139570_WhatsAppVideo2021-03-09at8_23_47PM.mp4

From my PS4, I would want to transfer playing COD in my PC. Unfortuantely, I do not know how I would transfer my progress (guns, xp, level, etc.) from my PS4 unto my PC. I've tried linking my PS4 account to my blizzard account from my PC but my progress from COD did not appear. Is there anyway to do fix this? Thanks.

Hello, this is an issue I've been having with my monitor since November. My monitor tends to go black for a second and come back on at random, and I'm not sure why. The monitor could be fine for weeks or days then happen. There's no specific pattern that I've noticed. It's been happening ever since I started using HDMI and DVI (I originally only used VGA). At first I thought it was my PC's graphics card, but it also happens when my sister used the same monitor to play her PS4. I have tried switching HDMI cables, switching to DVI, switching DVI cables (I even bought a new cable a week ago) and tried different systems (Two PCs and PS4). Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is this a sign that this monitor is on its way out? I did get this from my dad's job in 2019. I'm completely out of ideas. My monitor is an Asus ProArt PA249Q if that helps. EDIT: I should also include that the issue has NEVER happened when using VGA, so maybe I could try getting a DVI to VGA converter and seeing, but still continue to respond if you have any fixes!

Hey, I recently started a refurbishing business, and I'm wondering if anyone knows any good auction sites for computers, specifically PS4s and other game consoles. The only real criteria is that the inventory be relatively sorted. I mean, I love random Game Stop returns as much as the next guy but... No membership fee would be cool, but I get that one sometimes comes with the deals. Let me know! Thanks!

I am looking for recommendations for a pair of earbuds that I can use for gaming preferably under 50. I have fairly small ears so ill try to avoid big earbuds. Preferably with a mic as I'll be using these on my PS4, on my PC I use a separate USB mic so should be fine. I have looked into HyperX Cloud Earbuds and G333 and JBL Quantum 50 but I'd like to hear more recommendations.

Hi all, Sorry in advanced if this has been asked a bunch already, I didn't see a thread under search that quite matched. I've had trouble with the past couple of headsets I've owned being easily compatible with my smart tv, Playstation 4, and PC. Is there something I'm missing here? Had an old Logitech pair where you would need to download the drivers on the tv for instance (not possible, as far as I know) And another that really seemed PS4 specific. Thanks for any heads up
