Hi all. I'm looking for a silent, wired mouse. Preferably horizontal scroll too and a few programmable buttons, but these aren't a must. Free scrolls would be very nice. Silenced G502 or corded MX Master 3 could do. Something like that. Must not be Logi, manufacturer does not matter. Although Linux-compatibility would be great plus. Any ideas besides somehow modding the 502? Was also eyeing on trackballs, out of curiosity as I never tried them. But also haven't found any claims about silenced clicks.

I'm currently in university and we are doing a lot of math work, but our lecturers are very strict about having a phone out as we do various exams - but had nothing against calculators. So my thought was: What if I could get a calculator and program few of it's buttons to calculate the most extensive bits of exam for me? In other words - I'm looking for a programmable calculator that I could plug to my PC via USB and make it do various stuff, but I couldn't find anything... thus this thread.. help? Hi, before I start I am registered sight impared which will help you understand my needs later :) I have a couple razer's using synapse program which is OK-Ish for my main PC however sometimes I work away with my laptop and nobody like a touchpad. I have set my DPI buttons to map as "WinKey + +" and "WinKey + -" so I can zoom in and out I set 2 of the macro buttons as Copy and paste and 1 as toggle High Contrast. Problem 1 - When I am working on the laptop and have no internet reception the synapse program wont let me use the macro keys or DPI to zoom in / out Problem 2 - for no reason, on my main PC synapse sometimes signs itself out, so I cannot zoom in using the DPi keys to enter my details Problem 3 - Sometimes friends ask me to fix their stuff, I want to be able to plug in my own mouse and just have all my macros setup so as a visually impaired user I can just get to work removing their adware lol basically, I want a Hardware programable mouse or good quality I don't want to have to use software on every PC I use to use additional keys I need minimum of 3 programable keys (not including DPI) DPI keys need to be reprogrammable and I would prefer it to be wireless but charge from a micro / USB-C so I can use it on main PC and just unplug it and throw it in my laptop bag when I go away/ please can you guys sugest some devices for me matching this criteria, I have searched and searched but keep getting conflicting specs and im really getting frusteared with the synapse signing out Thanks in advance

Are there any dedicated sets of programmable keys for macros that plug in with USB. I'm just curious as I use a lot of different applications with many different shortcuts

Hello, I'm looking to get a smartphone that is able to let me program apps for it at less than $100(USD). I've found that Windows Phones may be the best since you can get an SDK and all and build apps for them. I am not afraid to do coding though. I've also come across the Ubuntu phones but they seem to be not the best idea, since they'll come from Spain and they don't really have apps as much as scopes, though if you know more about these please let me know. I've also thought of getting an Amazon Fire phone off eBay, and making apps for it because it's based on Android, so I could go that route as well. Any tips, suggestions, or insights are welcome. So this is my first time posting anything on any forum. Here is the thing I am looking for a wireless mouse that is programmable. Now I know most people are going to say that I should go with a wired mouse because they are better and sometimes even cheaper. The reason I want a wireless is because I mainly use a laptop and windows tablet both for work and school purposes. So I need something that is big enough for my hands and can be used for multiple devices. Here are three mice that I am fairly interested in: 1) Logitech mx master 2) Razer naga epic chroma 3) Mad Catz office rat I have held the logitech mx master and I liked how it felt in my hand so anything around that size would be great. If you have any other suggestions I would more than gladly like to hear them but please explain why you like that mouse and nothing like "Its the best gaming mouse ever made" please be more specific than that . I want something that is comfortable to use and so i can use it for work, school, and gaming. I play games like star wars the old republic, dc universe online, and minecraft. Im not much of a gammer but I use stuff like word and excel a lot for work or I use visual studio or textpad for school and coding. I would really like a mouse with a side scroll wheel like the mx master or office rat. Here are the reasons why I like each mouse: MX Master- I like how it feels in my hand and that it has a side scroll wheel which I find useful when Im coding or making mods for minecraft. I also like the fact that its bluetooth and can connect to multiple devices at once. Naga Epic Chroma - I like how you can customize the colors on it and change the pinky rest/grip. I also like that it has a lot of buttons that you can program and that you can switch between different profiles. Office Rat - I like the fact that it has a side scroll wheel and 10 programmable buttons with multiple profiles for different programs. Also like the fact that it can automatically switch profiles when you open a program. It also has bluetooth capabilities and the palm rest can be readjusted. Things I dont like about each mouse: Mx Master - Only has 3 programmable buttons and dose not have any profiles to switch between programs or from work and gaming. Naga Epic Chroma - Does not have a side scroll wheel... really thats the only let down but I also wish it had bluetooth or a small usb dongle rather than (from my understanding) having the big charging/receiver attached to my laptop. Office Rat - I dont like the fact that it doesnt have a pinky rest since I manly use the palm grip. Its also not much of a gaming mouse but I dont really mind since I dont game much and Im not a serious gamer either. Please let me know what you think about these mice and if you have better ones in mind. Some things to note I use the palm method of holding my mice so I really want a pinky rest. My hands a pretty big so I usually buy XL or L sized gloves. I do modes for minecraft, code for school, or use microsoft office for work more than play games so I also really want a side scroll wheel.

So I've went on NCIX and found out about this keyboard. I was wondering if this keyboard is any good? It has 7 thumb modifer keys below the spacebar. Which is really good if your gaming. It comes in many backlight colours, 100+ programmable key. Is not mechanical keyboard but it definitely feel like one. Right now is on sale for $49, original price is $124 but on other website is selling for $99. I was thinking of purchasing one. Is it worth getting?
