Hey, thanks for taking the time to read my thread. My friend and I have been plagued with connection issues in Rocket League recently. We both live in different states in the US. We both pay for fast internet. We both have tried playing with lots of people on our internet and alone. I have tried going to different locations entirely with good internet at both the other places as well. We both have PC's that lie well over the recommended specs for RL. We both have gone through every solution listed on the Rocket League website (https://support.rocketleague.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054169594-Connection-Troubleshooting-on-PC) including port forwarding in my case. The lag manifests completely differently for both of us. My lag: I get a complete freeze of my game for a few seconds before coming back in a completely different location with my ping having skyrocketed. This happens once every few games. My other lag is an inconsistent latency between my machine and the server. Boost pickups are slow and ball touches are jittery, but my ping remains stable at 40-60 depending on the server. My friend's lag: He gets random ping spikes well into the hundreds for a minute or so almost every single game. These issues are game-breaking for us. We are currently semi professional players hoping to break into the scene in a few short months. This lag is stunting our growth significantly so we need to put a lid on it stat. Any suggestions are appreciated. I would be happy to answer any questions anyone has. I am generally pretty tech savvy. I fix issues like this for myself and my friends on a regular basis but this one has me stumped.

Hello Everyone Sorry for my bad english. I did not know where i could ask this question. I am a tiny youtuber and not that good in editing. I use filmora as my editing software. since i usually build pc and provide benchmarks at the end. i cannot make graphs easily. and also if i make it. it sucks and is not usable for the next video. i know there are some very bad solutions like excel but i wanna keep my production quality a bit higher. now if anyone knows any kind of tips to make some professional looking graphs like LTT or JayztwoCents and that are able to use it multiple times without much hassle please tell me. will really appreciate it.

Hi, I have a school project where I need to have a few questions answered by people who have had involvement with technology for a few years (around 5+ preferably). A name is useful but not required, as is an organization you worked at or with were you witnessed these changes. I only need a couple people but more is always better. For anyone willing, thank you so much and here are the questions (there is a link for a Google Form if you would like to answer through that): 1. Give a brief description of your background including roles, years of service, and perspective (as someone working in IT, an observer, or other)? 2. a) Provide a detailed description of what processes were affected by technological innovations (how they worked then vs. now) and b) briefly describe the disruptions these may have caused. 3. What type of ethical problems arose as a result of the aforementioned changes? 4. How did other employees of your organization react to the changes? 5. How did these technological changes change relationships between employees and management (such as how was each groups powered modified)? 6. What ethical dilemmas arose as a result of these shifts in power? 7. How well did you deal with the changes and how quickly did you embrace them? The more detail the better but anything helps and even if you don't answer I really appreciate you taking the time to read! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScTkV3EBsAsEiAwquhH2rMxkB4GpIklDEwh-Ro7aasj50NmqA/viewform?usp=sf_link

Just got back some old tech for my brother-in-law I let him use for a few years. Decided I'm going to make a server out of it for my friend and I to play Minecraft, ark, Gmod, and some other only stuff on. i7-3770k on water ASRock Z77 fatal1tly professional (bios rev1.7) Corsair vengeance ddr3 1333mhz 16gb Radeon 580 8gb 1Tb Sandisk ssd 750 watt Corsair PSU Used Case Got a clean boot and fresh install of window 10 (version 21h2) but when I got to the windows set up screen I didn't have internet, cable is good, and the activity lights lit up. Bypassed it and did a no internet install no issue. But it looks like windows cant find drivers for the Broadcom BCM57781 lan hardware. I checked ASRock's website and they don't have win 10 drivers posted, 7 & 8.1 but no 10. Put in a ticket to talk to someone at ASRock but all I've been getting for the last 2 days is repetitive 1 one sentence responses that don't answer the questions I'm asking. Does anyone know if broadcom still supports this hardware? Or has win 10 driver for these chips it seem dumb to me that a top of the line motherboard was unable to function on a new Win os 3 years after it launched. I thought maybe the chip was fried, but it shows up in device manager as an unknown needing drivers. And yes I know I could just go with an add in card. That's what Pablo the ASRock rep has said three times but I want the board like it should. Thank you too anyone taking the time to read this, and sorry for any spelling mistakes.

Budget (including currency): 10.000 usd Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: VXelements, polyworks, generel VR and blender work - and some engineering calculations. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Just need to figure out the PC. So, the company i'm working for are in deep with laser scanning and the downstream processes of that. We use Polyworks for the post treatment of our scans and deal with really large files. (25gb of data on the regular) We're looking to build a PC for just that purpose, but figuring out the primary focus is proving to be difficult due to the specialist nature of the programs. One thing obvious is that the pc has to be hardcore on both the visual part and calculatory bit. I need a stationary that can churn out results quickly and the price is last on the list of priorities. Any advice would be brilliant!

So I was lucky enough to receive a Razer 8kHz prototype mouse. Some initial impressions: Very noticeable improvement in responsiveness & smoothness Easier to make fine & precise aim adjustments Greater motion clarity & easier tracking Still noticeable even with lower FPS (e.g. 60 vs 360) I noticed the Focus+ sensor's improvement over standard sensors like the 3389, but the combo of firmware changes + 8kHz makes this prototype sensor/mode way better than my Viper Ultimate that also has Focus+ Tested thus far (will add more titles): Apex Legends Cyberpunk 2077 Doom Eternal I really hope all future mice will have 2, 4, & 8kHz polling options too. I feel it's a must have for the serious gamer, especially if you have a high refresh rate monitor and an optimized system. ========================================================== Current test setup (main specs): 9700k @ 5GHz all-core, 0 AVX offset, 46 uncore (I chose no HT on purpose) 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, 13-13-13-28-350, Dual-rank Maximus X Hero WiFi (Z370) Strix 3090 OC'd PG259QN (360 Hz) 27GN950-B (160 Hz) PG258Q (240 Hz) Important Note: I have a very optimized, high-end rig, and also tend to notice even minor latency, stutter, and performance issues.

Budget: $3,000 - $5,000 Country: USA Workloads: Blender 3D + AI / ML Existing Parts: None Periphrials: Keyboard When: ASAP Some context: I've been tasked with finding the best pre-built workstation for 3D Renders and AI/ML workloads, with the following requirements: RTX 3090Ti All Black with RGB fans Extra GPU slots for future card purchases 2TB Storage Pre-Built This is what I've come up with: https://www.originpc.com/configurator/load/a81a3ce3-c464-4cb2-9538-10624d9a3352/ My Questions: I picked the cheapest CPU and RAM thinking they won't matter for 3D Renders and AI/ML workloads as long as they're running on the GPU. Am I missing something? Is Origin the best supplier for this build? Will the MSI MPG Z590 GAMING CARBON WIFI I picked fit 3x GPUs in the future like I'm thinking it does? I'm trying to get the price down, but it's tough given the current requirements! Thanks ahead of time to anyone who might be able to provide some insight or guidance!!

Alright, I was thinking about my drone, and how the range is semi-limited and you have to be pointed in the general direction, and so I thought about possible ways of extending it. Wouldn't it be somehow possible to extend the range via some kind of satellite or large antenna? How would someone possibly go about to do this?

Hello everyone, I am looking to build two (at least in theory) professional builds dedicated to two different purposes. I was asking for help on another forum, but things have slowed down somewhat and I need some more opinions to be absolutely sure I'm making the best builds to get the job done. This will be a long post with a lot of details. I did a lot of research and work on the other forum so a fair warning. It's not that I don't know anything about computer builds, but I've never built one before and I would still consider myself a beginner, so please be specific and detailed with any and all advice, please. My budget: I would like to keep it between $15,000-$20,000, but do not concern yourself over it too much. More than anything I want a set up that is going to do everything efficiently. I own a small business and this is not a hobby project, this is for my actual work life and a means of upgrading to the equipment I will be using for the next 5-10 years. My area: I purchase most of my things online, but if it is important, the general scope is in Pennsylvania. The purpose of the computers and the workflow Through research and talking to other computer builders I have learned that video editing/CAD manipulation and rendering have different requirements. Computer build #1 - (The video editing and CAD/3D modeling production system) What I will be doing between the computers (me and my team, actually) will consist heavily of video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and Adobe After Effects CS6. I need scrubbing the timeline to be quick and seamless, even with a lot of transitions and special effects. From what I gather a fast CPU will beat out a lot of cores here. I will be using a lot of Blender/Maya for CAD/3D modeling work. I will be working with extremely high poly counted models, and doing a lot of sculpting work. These models will eventually find their way into the Unreal Engine 4 program for use in video games within the caliber of that engine, which is very intensive. Unreal Engine 4 will be run on this computer as well, so it needs to be able to handle that engine also. Again, from what I gather, the order of priority in these parts are as follows. 1. CPU (clock speed) for video editing/GPU for CAD/3D manipulation. 2. High speed/high quantity of DDR4 RAM. It doesn't need to be ECC. 3. Storage (an SSD for the OS/should I have a separate SSD for the programs installation?) The second computer build (The video/video game project rendering, Music production, general purpose, email, web browsing computer) I suppose doing the rendering on a separate computer build would not disrupt the work flow as much. When it comes to rendering I believe more cores are better, and it will be rendering out 4K video and sometimes large Unreal Engine 4 projects. besides that, it will be used as a music production workstation which is more my area of expertise, so I think I have the requirements worked out on that part. It will also be used for a general purpose web browsing, email, etc. computer. And about internet access, it needs to be extremely quick for both machines as a lot of my work goes through uploads and downloads. So suggestions on a good modem and a good router for this set up would be greatly appreciated as I do not know much yet about either one (I'm researching that area now.) This is a quick check list of the components for the two PC builds ( as of this moment)... Computer 1 - The video editing/CAD, 3D modeling/Unreal Engine 4 build CPU - It needs to have a fast clock speed, more than 10 cores will not improve performance greatly. GPU - It needs to be able to perform well for 3D manipulation. Something like Quadro, but it doesn't have to be if there is a better alternative. RAM - I will probably need decent DDR4 128 GB 2400-3000 MHz. Motherboard - I suppose this machine can work fine enough or possibly even better in a single CPU build. What do you think? Storage - Should I set up a raid on this computer? Obviously, an SSD drive for the OS. Should the programs be installed on a separate SSD as well, or on the same one? And what about the video assets. They'll be moved to another storage device after editing is finished anyway. Computer 2 - The video rendering/music production/general purpose/browsing/internet computer CPU - I am thinking of going for plenty of cores. Either a dual CPU or quad CPU build I think would be appropriate for future upgrades. The cores should preferably be fast enough, but more is better here. GPU - it doesn't have to be as much as the other build, as this will be rendering. GPU accelerated rendering doesn't help out much here. RAM: Probably the same as the last machine. DDR4 128 GB 2400-3000 MHz. Motherboard: I'm thinking a dual CPU build, or just in the last two days, after looking at some rendering benchmarks on Corona Renderer, a quad CPU system might be a good investment... Although I'm not entirely sure, I've heard some good things a bout dual CPU rendering machines as well. Any opinions on this? One question. Can I get away with not immediately occupying all 4 CPUs? A quad build would be great for the future and upgrading once I have the spare money, but having the board run with maybe two at first could be a good idea. Storage: I would probably set up the same thing as the other build, I suppose? Thank you to anyone who can take the time out for this project in advance. Please keep in mind that I am still at a beginner's level and I am a very busy person, so I could use a lot of help, and I don't always have the time to do extensive research. I still do try however. I like to have knowledge of my own rather than just taking someone elses word on it, but I could use a lot of different opinions to help weigh the options as I will be spending a lot of money on these computer builds. Thank you again! ;- )

Hello, I have a Lacie 324 monitor, It's wide gamut, 10 bit, 96% of adobe rgb color space. Even if it's from 2007 it was a professional monitor. My question is: how can I watch 10 bit movies from windows 10 to make the most out of this monitor? Can I use 10 bit color space when I normally use the pc? Do I need a different hdmi cable? I have a laptop with integrated intel gpu and gtx960m. I have a x-rite pantone huey pro colorimeter, what software do you suggest to calibrate the monitor? Thank you really much

Hi guys!! I've been following the community for a bit without joining into the talks.... until now! I've started building up a new gaming/pro setup based off a Ryzen 3700X, ATX Mobo, & MSI Radeon 5700XT and my 8 years old Noctua NH-U12P SE2 radiator, + 3 x 3.5 HDD The case I had in mind for that (Lian li O11 dynamic) isn't that great for a couple of reasons and had to send it back - radiator clearance too low for my radiator (158mm) - no 3.5 / 5.25 front bay = I use a front panel with an SD card reader connected to the mobo that I use very often - inconvenient 3.5 HDD bays I'm basically looking for a case solution that addresses the above requirements, preferably something sleek and professional looking (lian li O11 / Fractal R6...) but can't quite find the ideal match. My budget is in the range of the mentioned models. Any suggestion or also workaround ideas are welcome! Thanks for your help guys! Cheers, Khem

Hello, I work with game development, music production, video editing, animation and audio post-production (foley) My problem is: If I buy a gamer headphone I will be able to work better in my game and play my FPS games at leisure, but if I buy studio headphones I will work better in all other areas, but I will not have the same quality when working with game development and playing my games. I want a headphone that can supply these two areas: studio and gaming. I even thought about buying modular headphones, but the only ones that exist are from AIAIAI Audio, and still do not meet my needs. I really hate having to buy 2 headphones, besides the fact that if I need to, how can I quickly switch between the two headphones without needing a lot of work? Remember that it would be repetitive every time I had to play and get back to work and vice versa. Also, i see that Ninja (streamer) uses a Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro but DT990 is not surround, does it really affects gaming experience? Every opinion will be helpful. Thanks in advance, - Emanuel Messias, R.d.S.

Hi, planning to set up a lan center in my town and need to know where I can possibly find bulk gpu's that aren't just being resold after mining use. If that just means bulk ordering new cards is there a better alternative than just paying full price for every unit? Thanks for any tips!

This is going to be a little difficult to understand, so I have shortened it down to what you need to know so you lovely people can help. So, I am helping my mother create her new Real Estate company. I created a website on Squarespace (cause it looks fantastic ;)) and off I went, making sure everything was protected with a password. However, we bought into some software/RE stuff for our company that is industry standard for where I live, but it is packaged with a website builder online (whether you want it or not, and they do most of the work). I took off all the passwords for these people so they could have a look at my site. When they looked at it, said that it looked fantastic, and said they would replicate it as closely as possible... The next Monday (which is the one that has just passed), we got a text from an inside source at the company my mother had just been fired from. They said that their management had just looked at our website... So I freaked out, went onto Squarespace, and hid everything from public view. However, nothing on that Analytics page said anything about anyone viewing certain pages that this person said they had. Fast forward to today. The website these people created looks not even half as good as the one I did (not saying mine was amazing - their was horrendous) and after requesting they make some changes, they half-assed it and came back to say that I have to do everything myself (including things only they can do because their builder is balls). I was working on it for a while, but had to stop when my mother's new colleagues turned up for a scheduled training session. During the training session, one of them googled our company name, and found that our demo website (with private, sensitive information that definitely should not be displayed), created by the people who sold us this package, was on the front page. I checked the activity log (after a while of trying to find it), and sure enough, there was activity on the very same day we got this insider information. So, these people from my mother's old company, were able to see who she was going to be working with (including someone who had just quit working for them to come join my mother) and our sales strategy, including other things. Other than being absolutely furious at this company, is there anything we can legally do if this causes damage to my mother's company (which very well could happen, considering we are still a while away from going live)? It took the company a few hours to sort out this issue, but they have made it private now. TL;DR I created a website for our new company, made it private. This other company asked to replicate our website to make it easier for us later on, so I made mine public. Got a text from someone we know that their management had just seen the website, so I made mine private again. Found out the website they viewed was the one this other company had replicated, even though it was meant to be a demo and we thought it was completely private. Now other companies in our city know what our sales plan is, who is in our team, and what we will be doing. Is this as big of a problem as I think it is, or should I just let it blow over now that this company has fixed the issue and made it private? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. I understand that this is a very specific issue, and know that I probably won't get much help.

I got contacted by a friend of mine to come out and look at some camera's at his business. Hes currently running a mix of fisheye and bullet cameras and all of them are analog. Its a Nuvico branded system but literally can't find any model or information or anything that remotely resembles the installed DVR. The equipment is about 15+ years old and over half of the cameras aren't working. Sometime this week I'm going to go out and do some more digging around to see if working with his old equipment is even an option. I want to be able to give him a couple possibilities however and wanted to ask what your guys favorite camera systems are?? If I'm putting in new equipment I personally would like to go poe and run everything back to a central server however I would like opinions on that too. Thanks

Hello everyone! For a TLDR version just look at the bold line below~ I'm currently in the market for a good monitor for my work production and for my games. I'm a CG artists working on lighting and rendering as my profession so I want to buy a good monitor for my set up that is very color accurate. Along with that I want to have this monitor on 2560x1440 resolution and higher. As for the size of the monitor I want atleast 27 inches or bigger but nothing surpassing 32 inch since that is just way too big. Since I play a lot of competitive games (primarily Overwatch sitting at Grand Master rank) I want to keep my 144hz if possible since once you go into 144hz you never go back. I also want to have this set up as dual monitors, I don't want to get an ultrawide since I use a lot of reference material on one monitor while I work on the other. An ultrawide will just cut my overall work area by half if I split screen it. Since I want to get dual monitor I also want to see if its possible to get dual monitors that have very very small bezels on the left and right side of the monitor, this is so I can transition with my work from one monitor to another without seeing a big bezel between both monitors. Overall here are some of the following criteria that I want to have on this monitor. - Dual Monitor - Resolution: 2560x1440 or higher - Refresh Rate: 144hz - Size: 27in or Higher - Very Small Bezels This is all I want to get from a good monitor. I do not have a budget for these monitors so any monitor that you can find I will look into it! A plus will be if you manage to find a monitor that doesn't have look very gamer oriented look into it.
