Ok, so I'm looking at getting some new headphones and I was wondering whether I should get the DT 990 PRO or DT 880 PRO, keep in mind, I don't want closed back headphones, so my question is, which ones are the best when it comes to the least amount of sound leakage?

Also Gaming like CSGO, Fortnite, WoW Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi, I have been using a Macbook Pro for the last 4 years and thought it was time to upgrade, and instead of getting another mac I thought about building a custom PC as I only use it in my home office now. It has been many years since I last built a PC, and thought maybe you guys can check my potential build I made. The computer is going to be used for mainly Ableton Live production with virtual instruments and recording, but also mixing and mastering in Pro Tools. Virtual instruments I am using: Most of Native Instruments library, Keyscape, U-he Diva, Serato Sample, Serum etc. I am also thinking of doing some gaming again, previously played CSGO at a decent level so want a stable gaming rig aswell. In CSGO I usually play 1024x764 Resolution at low settings so this should be a incredibly overkill setup for this. But I would also be able to livestream when gaming and possibly music production. (otherwise thinking of getting a Elgato HD60+ and using my macbook as streaming pc) Here is the list of components: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 12GB DUAL OC V2 Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix x570 Gaming Ram Memory: Team Group Xtreem ARGB 32 Gb M.2 SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB Second SSD: Seagate Firecuda 510 NVMe SSD 1TB PSU: be quiet! Pure Base 500DX Svart OS: Windows 11 Home Also thought about getting either of these monitors: BenQ Zowie XL2540K/2546K I also went with air cooling even though I know it sounds more, but I have 0 experience with water cooling so I am going to skip that. The help with a build would be solid. I know I'll need a lot of storage. Now do I need pcie gen 3 or 4? Please comment below and it'll be a huge help.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): A friend of mine asked me to put together a build for him. He produces and composes digital audio (EDM mostly) and he is not very computer savvy. I have lots of experience in building gaming rigs but not so much for the specific case of audio production. I threw together a build that I think will work nicely given the budget and the part availability. I mainly focuses on processing power and ram, since that seem to be the most important specs for this use case that I could find out from my research. The user will mostly use this machine for digital audio production and composing and some light gaming on the side (CS:GO, League of Legends etc.). Given the prices of GPUs I was thinking that the Ryzen APU would be the best bet, with lots of cores and threads for productivity and capable graphics for competitive games without the budget overhead of a discrete GPU. My question is if this is a good enough setup for the intended use and if I can replace some components for better performance. I choose the noctua nh-d15 although I think it might be a bit overkill. I just want to never have to think about the cooling, and I don't know in what environment the PC will be used so just building in extra slack into the thermals. I also went with an mATX board and case so that it doesn't take up much space in his studio and can be tucked away somewhere discrete. I've been doing some googling and I cant seem to find a straight answer to what part of a cpu affects latency in music production the most. I know there are a lot of factors in the entire build, but I am specifically focusing on the processor right now. -

A friend of mine, is having problems with his current setup for stage production and is looking to upgrade his Graphics horsepower for Stage background screens ( the visual led screens that either have the live feed of the musician or some kind of visualisation) Video wall My question is, Would high end graphics cards or Quadros be the better options?

Hey LTT Forum, I wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured the general discussion board would be the best. So, basically, I studied audio engineering while in college and in those days its was all about ProTools on Macs. It was the industry standard and everybody used it. Let's flash forward to today, where I still think Mac/ProTools is the standard, but PCs and ProTool for Windows has certainly closed the gap. Being out of the audio mixing/mastering game for about 12 years now, what would be a nice home studio board to get that won't break the bank, but still has great usability with ProTools Windows. I don't need some giant 64 channel mixer. I'm talking 16 channels and something that can fit on or under my desk. I look forward to hearing everyone's input! Thanks ~Tropton13~

I've got an FX-8320 with an MSI R9 380 4GB video card memory. I'm going to eventually upgrade to 2 crossfire (yes all AMD build, that is a requirement) 8GB aftermarket cards with the 8 core hyperthreaded Ryzen chip (new GPUs probably going to be the Polaris stuff but I could go with two RX 480 8GB or R9 390 8GB). What should I upgrade first, CPU or GPU?

I payed for my PC by reselling but I want to know if anyone here has any better tips on how to do it. Do you have any other sites besides amazon or ebay? Hi, everyone! I've recently built a pretty affordable and reliable workstation to ease up my workflow, but I will soon have more and more projects and I'm entering the 4K video editing world and I want to know from you guys on which GPU I should count in the next year or two. I chose those two cards because of their reputation and power. What is your opinion? I was also thinking about trying the Hackintosh project to see if I can get another level of performance, especially for Final Cut Pro, so I considered adding an AMD GPU on the table as well. Does any of you have had "Propellerhead Reason 9" CPU spike related problems and know how to fix it? Hoping any of you in here got similar interest in music production WITH some knowledge on how to fix CPU isses with DAW's I'm having some serious CPU usage when R9 (Reason 9) gets opened, and i've complained to propellerhead about 2 twice and the 3rd time being today and i always get the answer that it is my hardware that is the issue and they can't help me. Well.. Since i just finished a completely new and a lot more powerful system with a new "Focusrite Clarett 2Pre" (Thunderbolt connected with separate power adapter ) audio interface, Reason still manages to produce the same heavy amount of CPU/stuttering/lag/noise issues like on my last system, so i KNOW it is not a hardware related problem! The DAW is running with roughly around 30% CPU usage on a busy project, IN AN IDLE STATE! 5-10% is more realistic and would be considered normal. I've spend quite a lot of money on the new system only to be sad that the issue didn't get solved, so if you know any fixes or tricks to get around this obstacle then it will be very welcome! It seems that it also targets other DAWs or DAW related software like "Analog Lab 2" from arturia, but the cpu spikes are more targeted at specific synths in that software oddly enough. I will post pictures on request but for now they won't help much.

Hello, I need help with chosing my mouse. I have about 100 usd to spand on it, my gigabyte M6980X is dying and I'm student in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Google Sketch Up, Blender, 3Ds, and Revit. So I need some pretty accurate sensor. I do not mind wireless nor wired mouse. I was thinking about Logitech MX Master, but it is about 2 years old, so is there something newer? With same or similar shape? (The logitech MX Master was "Love for the first hold") I have just two 1080p screens so I do not need high DPI. So is there any as perfect choice as Logitech MX Master but from this year? If not I will go with Logitech MX Master if you don't talk me out of it. Few more things It must be or It must have: Low latency (I play games too :-D, and it is also good for quicker work) accuarcy (I wanna as precise mouse as posible) BIG - I have about 19-20 cm hands from my wrist to the top of my finger Shape - I worked few times for 15 hours with breaks so, something that I can hold on perfectly (like Logitech MX Master, the Gigabyte M6980X is small for me) thx for advice

South Korean tech giant Samsung has permanently ceased production of its high-end Galaxy Note 7 smartphones after reports of devices it had deemed safe catching fire. The firm had already reduced Galaxy Note 7 production volumes. Owners are expected to be able to return the phones for a refund or an exchange for a different Samsung phone. The firm had earlier said it would stop sales of the phone. Had a thought occur to me last night as I was watching random gamers nexus videos. What if North Korea decided to nuke a major memory/cpu production center in China/Japan/Taiwan? First off it would be a suicide move by NK that much would be clear but the lasting ramifications of such a strike would be serious. The price of just about every electronic device from phones/computers/etc would spike hard and even getting a hold of some of these things would likely become difficult until new production lines were built outside of the effected areas. This price jump could roll over into other markets as suddenly the price of equipment jumps thus the cost passed to the end customer goes up with it. The western world would be hit very hard by such a strike and one could say that it would be at least on par with a nuke strike on a major city like LA, San Fran, Seattle, or Vancouver to name a few. So what say you people of LTT do we have a bigger potential situation should NK go off the deep end? Have we finally hit the point of over centralizing production of critical components?

My brother has a lot of video editing and production work and i wanted to know if this card capable of handling that kind of things and applications like premier pro and photoshop. I also wanted to know that this card would run properly on a 230 W power supply by zebronics.

This is an estimated production loss of 100,000 wafers, or roughly 400PB worth of chips, enough to possibly cause a short term market shortage in NAND and more price increases.

Hello, I am a complete newbie to building a pc. I am looking for a motherboard that can support hardcore gaming and streaming at high quality. It should be able to support my i7 7700 cpu. I also will be using the pc for major video editing, 3d modeling, and animation. If anyone has any recommendations, that would be great. I am not on a budget so I am able to spend more money for better quality and more features.

I have been looking for a laptop that I can take with me on the road from time to time. One that is powerful enough to game and do some video editing, but also is decent looking and light enough. I currently have it narrowed down to two. The Alienware 13 R3 with an i7-7700HQ, GTX 1060, and OLED display; and the Gigabyte Aero 15 with i7-7700HQ and GTX 1060. If you want more details on either feel free to look them up. Also willing to hear any other suggestions but am pretty dead set on one of these at the moment. To me, the Alienware might have a smaller screen but the color accuracy of an OLED display is pretty nice, and the ram and ssd's are still upgradeable just like the Aero 15. But the Aero has a slicker design and weighs less. But that is why I am here asking for opinions I guess

Hi all, I've done some research on my own as far as possible build routes I'd like to explore, but figured I'd post here to see what you guys think. I'm an audio engineer operating a recording studio, and the time has finally come where I need to replace my macbook Pro that I've used for recording and mixing for about 4 years. (Yes all my software is cross-platform and allows me to switch between PC and Mac freely) (may also serve as a Lightroom station so I would like to stay in the entry-level enthusiast grade graphics cards) The current problem I am encountering is processing bottlenecks slowing down my mixing time, as the software crashes under light to moderate load with my current rig, a Macbook Pro running 2.8 GHz i7 Quad core w/ 16Gb 1600MHz DDR3 and 1TB solid state. I need to be able to work efficiently, without encountering bottlenecks. My hard budget is $2500, but I'd love to get down to ~$2000, and I am located in the Southwestern U.S. My goal is to migrate my permanent station to a desktop. The software I'm using is Pro Tools 12.4, which has relatively mild Graphics needs, but severe CPU and RAM requirements. Would like to get 6-8 cores, with 32+GB of RAM, and 250GB of SSD or M.2 Storage. I have plenty of external storage, so hard storage won't need to be more than 500GB-1TB. I will be utilizing a TV for the Main monitor, but would like the ability to expand to a second TV or LED Monitor, so 2 HDMI outputs would be desired. I will require no additional peripherals, as I already have a nice Mech Keyboard and Gaming mouse I like, and it will be accessing the internet via Ethernet so no need for WiFi capability. The software requirements dictate Windows 8, with a 64-bit architecture, as the software runs exclusively 64-bit programming.
