Hello how is it possible to force custom print (not only layout) paper size in Libre Office? In printer server setting (Windows options) there is plenty of different sizes but they are not available to print on Windows use Microsoft IPP Class driver for my network printer behind cups server (Samsung ML-1620) LibreOffice let me choose only limited list of print sizes (despite layout size is set to C6): And in printer setting only same sizes are available. BUT, if i print from word, i can choose custom size, and print result fit perfect my C6 paper:

Essentially I replaced it from a DOA and it seems to have issues with printing pure black on the photo paper, which in this case is glossy, I was wondering if anyone experienced here could help, the store suggested it to me as a better alternative (official retailer, not just some corner shop), the print speeds etc are all good, its an Ink tank too which is very good for economy but it just doesnt get black printed properly, its a tinted blue black rather than black-black (K), the home grade printer I returned was providing for some reason an absolute black with ritchness, this one does not and it bothers me since I gave essentially a difference to buy it worth double the initial printer's price. It is a bit frustrating because I generally get tired of returning products more than once. Now I only bought the more expensive one because it is a more sturdy build (quality of components, work hours endurance etc) and I had the best intentions but it feels like it backfired in this case unless I can somehow get this fixed. Maybe there is some setting I missed or perhaps some gimmick that is causing this. Thanks in advance.

Hi, just suddenly my epson printer is unable to print or scan anything. It does power on and I can navigate the menu. Whenever I try to scan or copy something it shows on the screen "starting up" and goes back to the menu after a few seconds. Usually I connect the printer using wifi but the printer's wifi function is also not working. I tried as well doing a factory reset through the setting menu but it does not seem to do anything except making the navigation sound louder. Lastly the printer hangs when turning it off, the screen will show powering off but it gets stuck on that screen until I remove the power plug on the printer. Is there a way to fix this issue? My printer model is Epson EP-805AW

Hello, I have an Alarm System that can output messages via a serial printer. How could I use a Raspberry Pi to read those messages that the Alarm System outputs? Is all I need a USB Serial adapter and some code? Or do I need special software to make the Pi pretend to be a printer? Thanks!

Hello! I'm having some issues with any and all browsers crashing when trying to print to any printer, whether its a non-network connected printer, a network printer, or even Microsoft Print to PDF. This issue occurs on all browsers (Edge, Chrome, FireFox), but not on any other software (Adobe PDF works fine, any Microsoft 365 application, etc). When I send the print job, the browser immediately freezes, the printer shows up in Print Queue, shows that its Spooling, browser crashes, then the print job deletes itself. (In the case of Microsoft Print to PDF, it's status is "Paused" upon crashing) What I've tried to fix the issue: Removed printer and printer driver using Print Management application (Of the printers connected via Network or wired). Reset spooler svc in Task Manager Reset Spooler svc using CMD Prompt Updated Windows OS Build My specs are as follows Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044 Other OS Description Not Available OS Manufacturer Microsoft Corporation System Manufacturer Dell Inc. System Model Latitude 7420 System Type x64-based PC Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz, 1805 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Dell Inc. 1.14.1, 12/18/2021 SMBIOS Version 3.2 Embedded Controller Version 255.255 BIOS Mode UEFI BaseBoard Manufacturer Dell Inc. Any other suggestions welcome. I'll even re-do some of the troubleshooting I've tried if you think that I might have done it wrong.

Hi, I have the following problem: We have an old (almost ancient) PC in the company that has been running the same software for about 20 years. The software is indispensable for us and there are no versions for newer operating systems. The PC is now getting slower and slower and with every day we have the risk that the hard disk dies and with it the software is lost. The original installation file is on a floppy disk, but we have no idea if it is still readable and would have to buy a floppy reader first. My task now is to get the whole thing running safely with as little money as possible. It is about a logistic software, with which we calculate costs for framing paintings. We really need to be able to print from this software. With DOSBox, the program runs on Windows 10, but we can not print. A few IT people before me have already tried to start the whole thing via DOSprint, but that doesn't work either (according to them). The next problem: We don't have a test PC, so I have to develop a working system first so we can buy the things we need. I thought of the following: Either I build a cheap Win10 machine and try it with DOSBox and DOSprint, or I try to get the right hardware for an XP machine from somewhere, then clone the hard disk from the old PC and then put it into the new XP PC. Does this sound feasible? What would you guys recommend? Thanks

So I have been designing some button for a friend by using a button template. I finally finished all of them and thought it would be simple to print. However when I went to print I remembered that I can't print from the computer I am using. In fact, the only computer I can print from is a laptop hardwired into my printer. I saved the photoshop picture as a jpeg and attempted to print it however it loses its proper formatting. Example of printing from photoshop: https://gyazo.com/251848e9d5a3669d4cf96c8e2bc8322d Example of printing JPEG: https://gyazo.com/122147dada9848a7618a2bdd9425baa4 how can I solve this?

Hi all! ^^ We want to try and create a 3D model for 3D printing project at university. We are group of 3 people, studying software engineering and are total noobs in 3D modeling and generally modeling. What we want to try is to print 1/10 body (frame) of a car, for example, body of Tesla. What is the best software to start modeling for noobs like us? 3D printers are: Fortus 250mc or PHARAOH ED 20. STL or OBJ files.

A couple of months ago, I got a powerline kit to replace the wireless N connection I was using. It's giving me lower latency and higher transfer speeds, so I'm pleased with it. The only thing that I miss is being able to actually print to my computer. The way my home network is set up, it made the most sense for me to plug the adapter into my modem instead of the router. Both printers are set up wirelessly, and I suspect that I'm technically not on the same network as them. To solve this, I tried using Windows to bridge the connection between wi-fi and ethernet, but I'm still unable to see any printers. Any ideas on how I could achieve this?

Hello everyone, I'm an absolute noob to programming. I've written a script that generates a form of German poem from a set of word lists. Eventually, I want to add a little thermal printer (already on its way), connect it to a Raspi Zero, add a button, and have it print the generated text on the printer. I've searched for a bit, but I couldn't find a way to have a python script actually, physically print something. Surely there must be a way? And surely someone here knows it! Looking forward to any help!

Hey Guys, I work in a corporate enviroment, we have 2700 people in the office... so we use quite a lot of paper. There is a project im currently leading to reduce paper waste and generaly increase awaraness etc in the office. Except the obvious stuff like locked printing etc i would like to introduce something.. you know, catchy. Maybe some contests even. I'm currently searching for some innovative ideas.. lets call it a non boring approach to the topic. Do you mind sharing some of yours if you happen to know? Like you know.. sometimes you can find those gifs with futuristic solutions to problems, like the robot collecting plastic from the seas etc... Maybe we can make some sort of brainstorm out of it? Anything is welcomed :)

Hi, I hope I'm posting in the right place. I started tinkering with my router and started using DDNS. I've set up the port forwarding to my printer IP. This gave me the option to print through the Internet. But there was no security on it whatsoever, and anyone who type my host address could get access. Now i'm trying a different approach, I've set up an IIS server on my Win 10 pro. The Site is up and the windows authentication works great. Now all I need is to add the access to my printer. I've searched all over and I can't find good documentation on it. I've enabled the internet print client and all the IIS options on the windows features. Please I could really use some help here, Thanks

Hey guys, so I work as a civil engineer and try to optimize/digitize my workflows. A lot of stuff work pretty good with my iPad but the architect plans are printed to DIN A1 or even A0 (PDF) . My iPad pro 10,5" can't handle that papersize and just close everything when I try to open it. So I Iike to scale the plans down to A3. We talking about a few hundreds plans. Have anybody an Idea how I can automate the progress? Just thought about having a "hot folder" with all my Plans that will automatic convert to A3 ? Would it work with a Print Server ?

Hello there LTT forum, I have a near direct request to any at the Linus media group I don't know who to get in touch with, so let's try here and hope for the best. in a lot of your vids, when you go through your inventory there seems to be alot of 3D printed RAM (both standard mobo and laptop size, CPU, and now even M.2 SSD trays or cartridges (don't know what would be the correct word for them). my question is, would / could it be possible that you could share the 3D print schematics / files for us that would like to print such ones ourself, but don't have the skills to make the files ourself, by any chance ? I would be so happy to get every file for whatever 3D printet, hardware storage thingy you have. as they seems to be great for keeping spare hardware organized properly best regards Mads Krog

Hi all I am having trouble with Python v3.6. Just so you know I am using PyCharm Community Edition. I want to print a concatenated output (print with text and variables). My code: print("Your final cost is $" + final_cost) But it gives me an error which says: (the error is in all red though (well apart from the path to file)) #line 50 is the line of code above Traceback (most recent call last): File "path to my file", line 50, in <module> print("Your fuel cost is $" + final_cost) TypeError: must be str, not float I know I can replace the plus with a comma but it puts a space between the $ and the final_cost variable which I do not want. How can I output this concatenated print without this error? Thanks Hugs

The router in question is: Sapido Gigabit GR297N Super High Power Cloud. It has 2 USB 2.0 ports. http://www.sapido.com.tw/EN-new/product-gr297n-P01.htm I've been told that router doesn't have print server. Is that an obligatory requirement? Can't I use it if the printer is connected to the router vis USB? Attached USB HDD works; it even has some cloud functions. Is the printer sharing different?
