Hi all, Looking for some help when it comes to rendering video using the likes of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Currently upgraded my CPU from a R5 3600 to a R9 5900X and my GPU from a RTX 2060 to a RTX 4070 with 32gb of Corsair Vergence 3200mhz RAM. My workflow is as follows: Create the video background in AE, as well as the audio visualiser, track titles and video main title. Render the above videos in Media Encoder. Organise the files together in Adobe Premiere Pro and add some images. Export the video I'm just wondering during this proces what would be the best render settings/codecs to use? I'm am currently exporting the clips at the following settings: 1440p using H.265(HVEC) CBR @ 10mbps but I've been reading online that it is a poor format to be exporting at especially when editing the files and exporting them afterwards. I'm also not sure how long the render times should be, I know that this has a lot of variables but I feel like the exports aren't that much faster then when I had my previous system. I am uploading the videos to YouTube primarily. Any input on subject/topic would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! I hope you guys are doing fine. This is my first post here on reddit, and I have a question regarding why my monitor turns black and freezes suddenly when I am using Premiere pro or After effects. I can say that I do some intermediate stuff in Premiere pro and After Effects. I also have some plugins when using these applications. I already tried/did these things below: -added more ram from 16gb to 32gb -replaced the stock cpu fans with a thermalright dual tower -reseated the gpu (1660 super) I used DDU a couple of times already and made sure that I was using the 1660 super and not the integrated graphics( AMD ryzen 5 5600g) -replaced the psu from msi550 to corsair cx750 took everything apart except the ram and cpu. -used DDU one more time and replaced the driver from game-ready to studio-ready. I tried benchmarking it using UniEngine heaven and ran it to extremes. screen didn't turn black or freeze. I am now lost or don't know what to ask google anymore since I almost tried everything a simple gamer could do. I also tried re-installing windows 10 at one point just to clear some stuff up. Can someone enlighten me as to why this is happening? pc specs: cpu: Ryzen 5 5600g (1 year and 4 months already repasted) mobo: msi B550M pro-vdh wifi am4 gpu: gtx 1660 super (7 months ago, bought it from a local shop, not sure if it was new because the cover seal is already open when i took a look at it and the seller said it was good as new and had new thermal pads and paste; it was running fine for the past 5 months, then the remaining 2 started experiencing the black screen and freezes.) PS: Corsair cx750 ram: Kingston fury 3200mhz 4sticks 32gb 8each Is storage important? 1 kingston nvme 256 GB (half full), 1ssd kingston 500gb as well and 1 hdd 2 TBWD green 8 fans and a secure ups 650va automatic Any other stuff I do is fine, like playing heavy-intensive games like RDR2, GTA V, and Dark Souls, and some fps games and RPGs are also fine. Premiere pro and After Effects are the main culprits. They're pirated though, but it didn't happen before just recently, 2 months ago, i think, when I started doing more graphic-intensive stuff in Pr and Ae. please help. Thankyou!

Hi! 12gb rtx 3060 or 8gb 3060ti - which one should I buy for video editing work? I will be using adobe premiere pro, after effects and davinci resolve. Which card will serve me for long time? I'm planning to use it for 4 years at least. How about RX 6700xt? Would that be a good option as well? Both rtx cards are available in my country and within my budget. The Amd card is a bit expensive.

Hey, I'm reaching out today because I need some advice regarding finding a budget-friendly Mac for my friend who's a video editor. He's specifically looking for a machine that can handle 4K video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a budget ranging from $700 to $850. Now, I understand that video editing can be quite demanding, especially when it comes to higher resolutions like 4K. That's why I'm turning to this forum to help me identify the best options within this price range. I would love to hear your suggestions, personal experiences, or any insights you may have. If you have any recommendations or tips on where to find good deals, please share them as well. Lastly, if you have any additional questions or need further clarification, please feel free to ask. Your expertise and help are truly appreciated! Thank you all in advance for your support and assistance. Looking forward to your responses!

Budget (including currency): 1,200 - 1,500 USD Country: U.S.A. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop (for some light 3d modeling) It is time to let my six-year-old iMac 27inch go. It's been my workhorse for video and photo-production, but its 2021 limitations include slow render times, a worthless GPU, and slow RAM (just to name a few). Last year I left my job in TV to start my own independent video production company, which means my budget for a new computer is really only as much as I can get for selling my current mac (which is roughly 1,200-1,500). I know this is low, but I also have to keep some budget held back to replace the 27inch 5k monitor that I will be losing as well. It would be impossible for me to adequately replace my mac with another at that price point, so it's time for me to make the switch. However, this decision leaves me with questions that I absolutely cannnnnnnnot find answers too anywhere on the internet. Keeping in mind that my only goal is video production, this is a small list of some of my concerns. -Can a PC play and edit any of my Quicktime H264 or ProRes files? -Can a PC play any BlackMagicRaw footage recorded onto an OSX formatted SSD -Can I use or access any of my OS Extended Hard Drives on a PC (I.E. all of my prior footage and projects files... speaking of... -Can I open Premiere Pro project files, made on a mac, on a pc -I refuse to use Android phones, is this a problem? I'm not as worried about prior projects as I am my backlog of video files of which I have at least 15 Terabytes spread across multiple drives. Any information or suggestions on this would be helpful, I would love to hear from someone who made a similar switch. Also, any recommendations on a pc build that meats my needs and budget would be appreciated as well. For reference below I have added my current specs just as a comparison. Thanks! iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014 3.5 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 24GB 1600 DDR3 AMD Radeon R9 M290X 2 GB

It might be dumb question, or maybe such a solution doesn't exist. When I'm manipulating clip's position, is there a way to quickly stick it's border to the edge of viewport? So it's say scaled up, and i want to show as much as possible of top part of video but avoid getting a black bar. Or less frequently, I try to position 2 clips side by side ideally. I can look closely or count pixels and values, but is there something quick?

I went from a basic understanding of how Premiere worked, with no editing skills; ....to now making commercial "explainer type" videos for a tech startup company; with no editing course or other teaching methods. Take for example the aesthetic setup used in Techquickie sets. The 1 or 2 relevant elements on a table with a plant in the background over a monochrome backdrop for example. Or.... the fact that hand gestures can really convey a story in a talking head video. Simply watching those videos just gave me so many boxes I could check to make the video look professional; both from a camera setup & editing Guess my YouTube addiction has its upsides Anyone else in video production who had an advantage because of a certain YouTube habit?

Budget (including currency): £3000 (Pound Sterling) Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, After Effects, 3D animation software? Other details Need a workstation laptop (needs to be portable) recommendation for my girlfriend who animates for her uni degree and uses Premiere Pro and After Effects, I have my own PC for gaming but I am unsure what to recommend to her when it comes to laptops (are all laptop graphics cards MaxQ or are some fully fledged GPUs?) and also don't have a clue about workstation graphics cards (e.g quadro's). No existing part list only the recommended specs from Premiere Pro which I've attached below and linked here: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/system-requirements.html No peripherals needed, already got a Wacom drawing tablet 13inch screen The laptop she's upgrading from is a Lenovo Thinkpad P51 (Quadro M2200, i7 7820HQ, 16GB ram, 1080p 15.6" FHD (no touch screen) display) Link below has full specs listed https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/laptops/thinkpad/p-series/ThinkPad-P51/p/22TP2WPWP51?cid=gb:sem|se|google|G-UK-SEM-CONSCOM-PUBLIC-CCF-MF-Search-DSA-NonBrand-Laptops|LaptopsNonBrandDSAs&gclid=Cj0KCQjwg7KJBhDyARIsAHrAXaGj5HJLql7Xtbm_2BeaHA3ZNHw362Rm9BGaWeQRLd7RQ0XgtAxPGeIaAqnrEALw_wcB Thinking about upgrading within the next 2 weeks She's working with colour so she needs a good display for that (another thing I'm not completely sure about, colour accuracy?). Refresh rate144Hz would be nice, want to make it as future proof as possible because she mainly does 2D animation but sometimes does 3D Any help with this will be appreciated, thank you!

premierepro Need help in Premiere Pro Transition
HYDRYL posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I need all my transitions to have High Anti-aliasing Quality & all in Reverse. How can I change these settings for all transitions, all at once? (using only Push transition) Is there any shortcut? There are hundreds of these & manually doing them is very tiring. -
As the title says, before I was using a GT 1030 and PP was working. I upgraded to RX 580 and now when launching Premiere Pro is says "Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again.". I did update the drivers, but they didn't solved it. Things to mention: I have a second monitor conected to the iGPU. The main display is obviously conected to the RX 580. I found a workaround: if I disable the integrated GPU in device manager, premiere pro launches flawlessly, but when exporting, in the Encoding Settings section, Performance is grayed out, i can't choose Software or Hardware. if I disable the RX 580 in device manager, premiere pro still launches flawlessly, and I can choose Software encoding, but if I choose Hardware encoding, it says it isn't available or something like that. How can I fix it? I want it to use the AMD to render, and also to work without disabling any gpu in device manager.

I am editing a 1080p videos around 50mins all in all but my system unit can't handle it even with CUDA enabled. Premiere crashes a lot, playback in timeline wont work. Sometimes only audio will run, but the video is either stuck or stuttering. I transferred on my laptop (with lower specs, i7-8750HQ, GTX1050Ti, 16GB Ram) with the same videos that i've been editing and it works fine. Any idea how to fix this problem? Budget (including currency): $2,500 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing: Premiere Pro, After Effects - Gaming: Rocket League, Call of Duty, OBS, Elgato Other details: Upgrading from a 2017 Macbook Pro and the OG PS4 so anything is a step up for me lol. I edit 4k video content and create graphics and graphic animations for my job. I'd love to bring my gaming over to PC and play more games than I have on my PS4. I'm interested in buying in the next several months but there is no hard date. I don't have a keyboard or mouse. I currently have a HP Pavilion 32 QHD monitor that I use mainly for the sake of screen real-estate so I'm not opposed to selling this and getting something that would work better for gaming because it only has a 60 Hz refresh rate.

Budget (including currency): $1000 Country: Indonesia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Photoshop, Premiere Pro Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Budget friendly workhorse Im looking to build a reliable studio PC. This is a work PC for my staff member, who is a content creator. Using Photoshop & Premiere Pro mainly. This is not a over the top open budget build, I want quality hardware with enough power for smooth operation. I live in Indonesia so parts and prices will differ. I have already decided on the GPU which will be GTX 2060 Knowing that can you suggest a appropriate CPU and Mobo Ram and SSD I have covered already Im a fan of Ryzen CPU's (my gaming rig is Ryzen) so I don't need an Intel. EDIT: How about these Ryzen 5700G? Apparently the integrated graphics is good enough for PS you dont need a GPU... (maybe not good enough for premiere pro though)

Howdy hey, everyone of the LTT Forum! I am having quite the rough time trying to create videos in Adobe Premiere Pro. Whenever I create a new project, the program crashes as soon as the built in File Explorer-like panel opens. I can open existing projects just fine, but cannot play any video. When I launch Premiere Pro, it gets stuck whilst loading PlayerMediaCore.prm. If anyone else has had a similar issue, I request that you share your advice for fixing this issue. I truly appreciate your help!

Dear friends, I'm not able to render my holliday video, i am not video editor but i thougt i'd give it a go for a holliday through the west of the US. All the footage that we got is mixxed, so we got some foto's some small clips from our phones (1920*1080) and the DJI footage. Most of the drone shots work perfectly but a few of them started to cause issues once the video got longer. Might this have to do with my hardware? (i7 7700k, rtx2070, 16GB corsair RAM). The DJI footage wont playback while scrubbing and after rendering (it does render) it is just one still frame of that footage. I tried rescaling, set to frame size, etc. i cant find anyone online with the same issue so i thought some of you might have the answer. I have been trying for hours now but i can't figure it out. The footage plays perfectly in VLC, if i render it through premiere then its just a still. I have includes the properties of the dji footage and a shot of my render settings. Please help

Hi all! A friend of mine wishes to upgrade his video editing rig and asked me for advice, but I started to notice I was getting out of my depth in certain areas. I'm currently a full AMD guy, but already found evidence that Intel+Nvidia is a much better combo for Premiere Pro a.o. - This is one of the areas where I noticed I needed advice myself as I haven't had an Intel+Nvidia rig in a couple of years. I thought this forum might be the ideal place to ask for some additional input! He has been editing his 4K GoPro footage on a medium-end laptop (using the hell out of proxy media) with Premiere Pro and is in dire need for an upgrade. Although he could still use proxy media most of the time on a slightly better system, he stated that he wanted to have room to expand towards native 4K editing, if within budget. Additionally, he might want to return to PC gaming again (MW2, Far Cry 2, Cyberpunk etc.) as that would be tempting with a higher-end rig of course. Furthermore, I think that 32GB RAM would be appropriate and for an initial setup, and a 2 TB NVMe should be enough to get him going (he uses external media to save finished projects, so it would only be system+games+scratch). Budget (including currency): Around 1500 GBP Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, handling 4K footage. He stated he might get into gaming again at some point, but his initial focus is video editing Other details : I created an initial list on pcpartpicker with not-an-insane amount of research, so feel free to disregard completely: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/dNzxzf. Next to that, he'll use a 1440p monitor and build it ideally somewhere in the next month. Thanks a lot!

Hello guys, I'm new and not really knowledgeable about pc parts compatability, that's why I need your help. I previously had a laptop, asus rog, that I used for gaming and now for premiere pro video rendering. But the old guy can barely make it anymore, so I'm thinking it's upgrade time, and I would like to go big boys realm (Desktop). I'm from Romania (EU), as stated I would like to use this for gaming and Premiere Pro video rendering. I was thinking ryzen 3990x and rtx 2080 ti, Set up with 2 monitors, one high refresh rate and one with good, true colors. I'm not really into overclocking and RGB is not a must. I would like to get the best memory freq for this cpu and also a motherboard that has enough features to support my work, but not thing that I'm never going to use... My main issue is with balancing these out.. Budget is 2-3k euros (only tower and gaming monitor are a must) Can someone recommend something? Or corect my assumptions? Any help is appreciated Thank you

I was trying to make a 4k video using some high quality steady images captured by me. Some pictures were showing distorted color when Playback was paused, but if I start the playback its all good. Check 1st image for the playback issue. Then when I rendered the video & played it I faced huge color distoration literally on every still images. Steps I tried: Did H264, H265, H264 Bluray, tried both 4k & 1080p. Now if I try to render using ''Software only'' instead of GPU Acceleration the render is super super slow :( Please help me. My specs: 3700X , RX 5700 XT & 16gigs ram I'm using the latest gpu driver

When I try to queue my files from Premiere Pro to Media encoder.. It opens media encoder and starts exporting the video but then in the preview of media encoder, It shows me missing media. (It only shows me missing media for certain parts like the text I took from essential graphics in premiere pro)
