What would make the most powerful server? I am talking a general purpose server that has a high number of both cpus and gpus, as well as storage. What components would be needed. Must fit in a standard 42U rack.

So this definitely the sketchiest computer setup I have ever helped create. One of my friends bought a Dell Poweredge R710 (Google search appliance) for $200 and also bought my old graphics card (Gigabyte GTX 950). The only problem is the R710 won't fit or power a graphics card like that, so we had too improvise...

Hello everyone, After years I would like to build a new PC - from the ground up, as my current PC will be handed down to my girlfriend. I have a budget at around 4.000 to 5.000€ - you can suggest parts with $ I will do the conversion myself Im looking for a relatively small case, as I don't like to have a huge tower sitting around, I need a lot of power, as I do use heavy 3D rendering in the medical field as well as for gaming at high resolutions / high refresh rates. I would much prefer Intel over Ryzen, but Im completely out of the loop what is good currently and what isn't. I just need a machine capable of handling heavy tasks, multitasking etc. Custom watercooling isn't needed, but Im not against an AIO cooler. I would greatly appreciate help what case to use + other parts. Thank you very much.

Hello, so I'm in search of a powerful laptop for development that has a good keyboard, screen, CPU and can carry more than 16GB of RAM. So far I had Dell XPS 15 9570 - it's a great laptop, but dell being dell - it has issues - it runs too hot (I load it constantly with quite a lot of stuff, so fans are always at 3500 RPM and they are defective cause they produce screeching noises), my Killer Networks Wi-Fi card refuses to be detected (though BIOS is okay with it), and so on - basically work is thinking taking our money back and getting something else. Here is where I need help - I need feedback with notebooks are quality built, have good keyboards and screens. I need something on the level of this XPS or better. So far I have found only one that is 15" and kind'a fits the bill and specs - Lenovo ThinkPad T590 compared to the XPS. What's else is there on the market? Can also be 17", but I need to be able to take it on the plane in Europe, so probably some size restrictions apply. Has to be able to run Linux (Linux Mint in my case) Min specs: 4 core (6-8 core prefered) 24-32GB RAM 500GB SSD m.2 PCI-E Good IPS screen - 4k would be nice Budget - around 2k euro area (XPS was just shy of 2k) And no, MacBook Pro is not an option for me - I tried, but cannot make friends with MacOS

Hi! I'm searching for a really powerful 120mm fan but without pwm (with a molex connector for example), it doesn't seems to exist because it would be too loud, but if you know a reference or something like this, it would be really helpful. (I'm doing some experiments with a peltier module and a cpu cooler but because it isn't for a PC, I don't have access to a pwm control board.)

i have a brand new PC and have tried everything i need to know if my PC is just not what i want or if there is another problem. i recently had a PC built by Ironside Computers and it is not preforming how i expected and what people are telling me it should. the specs are as follows CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core Processor GPU: GeForce RTX 2080Ti RAM: 64GB Monitor: 1920x1080 144Hz Drivers are all up to Date as of 2/3/2020 On the Assasins Creed Odyssey the benchmark i get is 61FPS on escape from tarkov im getting anywhere from 47-70 FPS but id say a AVG of 50 on the Forest im getting around 42 FPS These are all on the highest or very close to the highest settings. I am new to the PC world but i have tried many things to "fix" the FPS i get such as turning off multithreading, and assigning games to certain cores. also here is the benchmark for my PC by userbenchmark https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/24333637 I want to know if theres something i am doing wrong or if i should just re-do the build all together, if i should re-do the build please LMK what the specs should be in the new PC. <3 please help

Hey I have been having problems where games like CSGO don't run as well as they should because I have a pretty beefy system and I only get around 120-140 fps on the new cache map, and even on mirage I get max 200, and I've seen other people with the same graphics card getting 500 fps, is the 7800x really that bad or is there something I can do? Along with this I can play battlefront 2 max settings at 150% resolution scale and get over 144 fps. I've tried a fresh install of windows, I've uninstalled display drivers with DDU and reinstalled them and it still runs badly. Help would be greatly appreciated.Specs:i7 7800x @ 4.6 GHzAsus Dual Exo GTX 2080 Super4x8 GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200 MHz

So I am a student looking for a powerful budget laptop . I am planning on running some video editing softwares , 3D modelling , machine learning and coding projects on it . So , processor and ram are very important for this build . I don't mind using a less powerful GPU , but should not be integrated graphics. Budget : 75,000 - 80,000 Indian Rupees . (approx. 1000$- 1135$) Budget is flexible and could go a little high if needed . (But the lesser , the better ) . The price of the laptop should be according to amazon.in or flipkart.com

Hey! I am thinking of building a PC since I will be doing an exchange in Berkeley, California for 8 months! I can’t seems to find a good PC shop on the web! 1. Budget & Location My Budget is about ~1000 USD (PC only). I will have a separate budget for monitor and peripherals. I have created this budget build: CPU Ryzen 2600 MB GA AB-350N GPU EVGA 1060 6 GB SSC RAM Corsair Vengeance 8gb x 2 PSU SF450 SSD Samsung 860 Evo 500 gb CASE CM ELITE 130 Pcpartpicker = US$978 Amazon = US$1028.64 Do you think this build is good? Any Flaws? I dont mind forking a bit more for liquid cooling or Noctual NH L12! 2. Aim 1. Fortnite 60 fps 2. Streaming 3. Video-Editing 4. 3d Modelling 5. Adobe Softwares like PS, Illus, Indesign 3. Monitors 24 inch monitor 1920x1080 60 Hz(will fork out myself! This will not be included in the 1000 USD budget) 4. Peripherals No Peripherals needed! I will connect steeseries 6gv2 and razer mamba 5. Why are you upgrading? I will be studying for 8 months in Berkeley! I will also fly to China after that for 4 months! In my home country, Singapore, I live about 1 hour20mins train ride from my university! So, once in a week, I will bring my PC to school! The problem is I am afraid water cooling will cause an issue in the future! Thank you!

I'm going to be building a computer for my science fair project this year in school, and it's about how to make a gaming computer as powerful as i can with a $2700-3000 budget, focusing solely on the computer itself, and a monitor, key board, and mouse. I would like some tips for building a powerful computer, because i'm not entirely sure my build is that powerful. By powerful i mean it has fast load times, can do 1080p no problemo, etc. I also want it to look cool, but that's second priority. Here's the link for my build. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/xY8nLD

I am a music producer who has been using a desktop PC for the most of my career. I am now looking to become more portable with my work, since I'm doing a lot more traveling. I'm looking for a laptop with the most emphasis on its power. As long as I can carry it around, I won't be too picky on the bulkiness, since I don't want to compromise on power for portability. Graphics is important too, but not a game changer. I watch youtube videos all day long and just don't want anything that's noticeably poor. I watch many reviews on gaming laptop because I know they offer the power I need for my music production. Laptops I have considered for purchase are the new 2016 Razer Blade, and a few ASUS and Sager models. Overkill would be nice. I'm not too concerned about the budget, as long as it doesn't start creeping up to the $4,000 pricetag (yeah, I've seen a few). There is no preference between a prebuilt or custom laptop, either would be fine. I love techquickie and they help me with learning a lot! Reviews are nice but it would be a lot better if you guys could give me a lineup of great laptops the would be nice for me. Thanks everyone!

Hi LTT! I am going on an exchange in a few weeks and would like some advice on something. So I need to bring a computer, but don't really own a laptop. I do have a corporate laptop, but it is obviously locked down and I am not allowed to install anything. I don't really want to buy a laptop just yet, as I certainly don't need one now. Then, I had the idea to rent one. I'm not 100% sure if whether or not this is possible, but if anyone could offer any ideas, it would help a lot. Laptop Criteria -15inch screen or below -At least 6 hours of regular use -Gaming enough to handle CSGO, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, nothing too much. All of those preferably at low 1080 at >40fps. -Relatively thin and light -DONT need touchscreen, 2in1, 4k screen, etc. Is all, or any, of this possible? Thanks! --Charlie

I'll preface this by saying I'm from Australia and would prefer Australian sites. I'm looking for a new laptop that i'll be buying in the next few months. I've been looking at the GS70 from MSI as it's super thin/light weight, I want to keep the laptop close to these factors 418.5x287x21.8mm (LxWxH) and 2.66kgs i7 6700 HQ GTX970M I've been out of the laptop game for a while so I'm not sure what sites to buy the laptop from? it seems Logical Blue One closed down and that's where I bought my first laptop a long time ago. Everywhere else (MLN/PCCaseGear/etc.) are all the stock standard GS70. I looked at iBuyPower and I'm able to get (including GST and Import fees) the GS70 with 16gig of RAM and a 256gb M.2 ssd and a 512gb SSD all for about the same price as it is here (Around $2600) it also includes some nice bonuses. (Backpack/mouse etc. ) Is there any site in Australia that can let me customize it a bit? (Mostly just the ram, yeah I know I can just add it myself, and the hard drives) or any other laptop I should look at ? I checked metabox, but their laptops are rather bulky/heavy I've checked out Affordable Laptops, but wondering if there's anything else out there. I'm pretty set on the GS70 as it's super light weight and thin, and it's a 17" screen (Minimum for me)

I want to get a new case - I currently got a full tower and I do like it but it takes up too much room on my desk. I want a small case which could still fit a full gpu and a couple hard drives for RAID 1. So, any suggestions?
