Hi All, i have an interesting one for you today. I have asus FX505D that i opened up earlier to clean out the dust and grime it has accumulated. I disconnected the fans and cleaned them each, and then reassembled the laptop. It is not power cycling from i can tell. Power light is on, the power button and keyboard are lit up, but no display. It currently just ramps up its fan and stops, then repeats. so far i have soft reset it, hard reset it, with a full battery disconnect, double checked all of the connections inside and reseated any i unplugged. and nothing. I have connected to an external display and no output. Which leads me to believe that it is not the display, or the gpu. i read as much as i could find, and none of the solutions the suggested worked. The only thing i have not done is remove the cmos battery as that would require a full teardown, and that seems like setting it up for more to go wrong. Any help is really appreciated im really at a loss here

Hello, I am trying to get my 2x8gb Corsair vengeance LPX 3600 from 2133Mhz to their rated 3600 Mhz but my PC just goes into power cycling mode if I switch on XMP, and I am really not sure what to do here. Here are my specs: Ryzen 7 2700 Asrock b450 Pro 4 2x8 Gb Corsair vengeance lpx 3600Mhz Bequiet 650W Gold PSU GTX 760 (because of GPU stocks) PLS help

Hi, I completed a PC build with no issues. All HW listed properly, XMP enabled. Installed Windows 11 and usual updates/drivers. Restarted PC a few times too, no issue. Turning on the PC the next day (~10 hrs after shutdown) and I'm suddenly no able to post and PC is power-cycling, turning itself off and on in a loop. PSU was clicking after a sec before following restart. My MB has status LEDs, DRAM was solid orange. So tried to clear CMOS, tried seating in each RAM separately. Realized PSU not clicking anymore and PC restarts much quicker, right after a second. DRAM light is gone too, but now CPU one is solid orange. Rechecked all cables, tried to swap the CPU cable, even tried to put both 2x2 and 2x4 connectors. Tried to loosen heatsink too just a bit. No change, issue still present. Mobo is on stand-offs, no cables behind. During power-cycling all fans are spining and GPU lights up as well. But I also tried to remove GPU and all peripherals, no difference. Tried to remove front panel connector too, but I'm able to turn PC on by short-circuiting power switch as well. My case/mobo does not have a speaker and there is nothing in manual about troubleshooting besides the mere mention of the existence of those status LEDs. I'm not even really sure if the present CPU LED is indicator of anything as PC is turned on for just a second before next loop, after 3s. No idea how to properly troubleshoot further, especially when the day before was everything ok.. TLDR; PC won't post and is power-cycling (1s on 3s off). At first DRAM status orange LED light on, after CMOS clear the CPU one; all after a day of no issues and Win 11 already running. Specs are here; CPU: Core i9-13900k Motherboard: Asus Z690-E Gaming Wifi RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR5 128GB 5200MHz (4x32GB) Power Supply: 1000w, ARESGAME 1000 Watt 80 Plus Gold GPU: Zotac 3090 TI I went ahead and did a full system upgrade pretty recently and immediately started having a bunch of problems. I know the GPU is good and I'm pretty sure the motherboard is good. I actually had to RMA the original motherboard since it wasn't detecting all four RAM sticks. Now, the problem is when the PC is under load it will shut off without warning and power cycle for about a minute before booting back up. At first I thought it might be overheating, but would overheating cause a power cycle like that? BIOS has been updated and I've tried both enabling and disabling XMP to no avail. Any idea what might be causing this issue?

I just got myself and brand new asus strix 1070 after installing it it started power cycling and it doesn't post so I tried putting in my old 970 and it's still power cycling but stays on for longer. I feel like I may of broken my pcie slot but I don't really know. I have an rm550 psu which should have enough wattage. I'm really stuck and don't know what to do?

When my computer gets put into this weird limbo state pressing the reset button or holding the power button for 10 sec will not work. Does anyone have any ideas to what the issue could be? I have my new gaming machine for about two weeks and today I received the error "USB device over current status detected". I solved this issue by removing the header of a damaged USB port but now after a few minutes of running my monitors enter power saving mode and the machine will power cycle. It flashes the RoG logo then the Windows logo before sitting on a black screen. My specs are ASUS Maximus VIII Ranger motherboard, EVGA 750 Watt PSU, 16gb of G.skill Ripjaw 3000, NVIDIA GTX 980, Intel Core i5 6500.

This is a wierd situation im in with my cpu cooler rn. I used to have an h80i but broke down so i bought a deepcool white v2 cpu air cooler. I installed it and it power cycles then the cpu fans spin at 100% and no other fan are spinning. I remounted it a couple of times and the problem still persists. If i have the fans on, it power cycles. if i have it off the cpu heatsink, it boots fine. i dont get what is happening rn

My computer has been power cycling for over 6 months now and I've send it to NZXT 2 times and they weren't able to find any issues with it. This last time I sent it to them they told me they would replace my cpu, psu, and motherboard because they weren't able to locate the exact issue. My pc has been like this the past week. So i had this problem that keeps occuring every single day thats annoying me. So if i accidentally nudge my pc it freezes then turns off and starts power cycling for about 4 times then it turns on but only the cpu fan spins. I wait about 2 hours and the pc boots up fine. Its not a big problem but its very time consuming and also it happens every single day. So I bought a new monitor, the Acer S271, and on the second day of using it has stopped working. I've spoken with Acer and they are replacing it, but I just curious as to what the problem maybe. So I was using my pc and suddenly the monitor went black, but came to life. About 20 minutes later it started to power cycle, turning off and on every 5 seconds. I tried all the usual tricks, disconnecting cables and leave everything unplugged, but nothing worked. It does this even if just connected to the power cable. I plugged my old monitor into my pc and it works fine, so I know it's not my pc. Like I said, it's getting replaced, but I'm curious as to the cause as I couldn't find anything online. Thanks in advance
