Hello, I have a ds923+ and unifi udm se router, i have firewall turned off on my Synology and I did a port forwarding for plex 32400 also opened port 80 for web server(iam not gonna connect a website maybe in the future). Now my plex is working with manually set 32400 also in plex server(nas), In firewall rules in nas there are extra ports opened, Windows file server, management ui, manager ui 2, active backup for business. lam using backup from my phone, also the pcs on my business needs to be seeing a shared folder in windows file network tab, I want to add a folder there. It's outside my network so I need help. How can I move these 4 extra rules to my unifi router? Thank you.

Hi! I’ve been searching through the internet and the forum but the answer isn’t exactly straight as I’m quite new to network in general. is my only option to switch isp/ upgrade plans? Goal: VPN back to home LAN to WOL/ smb/plex/jellyfin etc. Issue: Cannot assign ports as it seemed to randomly assign ports whenever I make an internet (packet?) request. Treated with nmap + canyouseeme.org Setup: I am in the states with RCN as ISP. WAN > Modem + WiFi hybrid > EROS 6 > my tp-link router > LAN Everything is setup in my router for simplicity, got baited to the EROS by isp thinking I can port forward there. I’ve found options of using reverse proxy request or go around under no-Ip but to my understanding it still require a stable port to be forwarded out there? I have PIA vpn with port forwarding as well, but im not sure if they allow me to setup my router as server.

Good-day everyone, I am currently trying to figure out what is the best way to connect my monitor and USB hub to my PC, which is 7-12 meters away (7 direct route, 12 around the door), with as few cables as possible. My initial thought was an optical HDMI for the monitor but I hear that they are not very reliable and also have trouble transmitting uncompressed audio. Then I came across active HDMI cables but I remember hearing before that they can damage the GPU's ports because they draw power from it. Can an active cable really damage the GPU's ports? For the USB, I found some externally powered 3.0 cables which should do the trick. I have also seen docks that provide you with every single connection you need, even 8K/60Hz HDMI output, with a single input cable (similar to the dock Linus used a few years ago) but based on the reviews they are not reliable nor cheap. Is there any other reliable solution would you recommend me apart from active cables (as long as they don't damage my hardware) and minimal cables? Some more information about my use-case: - I will be gaming on it so I need something with low latency - I will be using the usb hub to connect my peripherals and an audio interface for sound - The monitor I will be using is 2K 165Hz which means I will either need an HDMI 2.1 or display port 2.0

Summary After 10 years, Sony and Naughty Dog, using the momentum of the HBO successful TV show, launched the long awaited port of the game "The last of us: Part 1". The game, which is also was certified for the Steam Deck, is running poorly on high end machines including up to 30 minutes for the game to build its shader cache. Quotes My thoughts I work in the enterprise world, where software testing is paramount for a successful product release. Any feature limitation is communicated upfront. In this retail scenario, companies often outsource the development of these ports to an external company that may or may not invest in testing or is limited to an arbitrary release date. I don't believe that while certifying this game on the Steam Deck, the development team didn't encounter this long loading time and shader building being that slow. Another problem is that, based on the Steam return policy, you can get a full refund if you didn't play for 2 hours. The problem is that it takes almost 2 hours to get the game going… Running (or at least trying) to run this game on the Steam Deck is a terrible experience, and one would expect that Naughty Dog, already successfully porting "Uncharted 4" to PC, including running smoothly on the Steam Deck, will release a game that will not have these types of problems. To their credit, in the two days the game was released, the development team released multiple patches to address this issue, but I feel it is already too late that people may not be buying this game. Hi guys, so I've been hosting a Minecraft server for me and my friends for a couple years but my family got a new router recently and I can't seem to get the port forwarding to work for any port. My router is the Asus RT-AX92U. If anyone has any ideas that would be really helpful and thank you in advance. Things I've tried: Setting up port forwarding through the "Open NAT" router settings. Setting up port forwarding through the "WAN" router settings. Setting my IP to static Enabling UPNP Creating Windows Defender rules Updating my router/PC Switching from Ethernet to WiFi Running tracert and I'm not blocked by CGN Testing if I can open other ports like 5000:5001 This is how I set up the port forwarding rules on the new router, (.22 is my wired IP and .222 is my WiFi IP) And before you ask I am aware that these are not my public IPs, I've been using canyouseeme.org to test if the ports work which automatically gives me my public IP and can verify it is correct with ipconfig.

Hello. I've bought this motherboard a week ago and filled almost all ports with components upon arrival. Today, I got a second Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB that I installed on the remaining M2P_SB port, and I just couldn't get it to show anywhere. I checked on Windows (Disk Management, Device Manager, diskpart), and then in BIOS (I tried enabling CSM as seen in some video, but it always showed N/A for M2P_SB). I thought it was a bad SSD, but after switching places of the two 970 EVO Pluses, it turned out that the port M2P_SB wasn't recognizing anything (the SSD is not faulty since it worked on the MSB_SB port). I'm worried that the M2P_SB port might be faulty (I attached a picture of it), and my technician and I realized that the first 3 pins from the left look different than the others. He told me I should try tweaking them with the needle (since it seems like they're a bit higher or lower then others), but I'm not sure about that. I'm hoping that there's a way around this, since I'd have to wait quite a lot for the replacement motherboard if I sent it back, so I'd first like to ask for your help if you had the same issue, or are familiar with this and know how, and if it can be fixed. Thank you in advance! Here's a picture of a working M.2 port from my old Gigabyte B560M H motherboard for comparison. And here are some of my specs that might be useful: OS - Windows 10 Motherboard - Gigabyte Z590 AORUS ELITE AX CPU - Intel i7 11700KF M.2 SSD (M2A_CPU) - Samsung 980 PRO 500GB M.2 SSD (M2B_SB) - Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB SATA SSD (port 3) - Innovation IT Basic 240GB SATA HDD (port 2) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB

I/O is important if you want to plug in any external devices. So, what I/O do you make sure a laptop has when considering purchasing a laptop? My priority is this: 1. Headphone Jack. I do want to listen to my tunes in peace. 2. USB-A. Still have several devices that require USB-A, so I'll need at least one for an external hard drive. 3. SD Card. My Nintendo Switch has a 128 GB Card, so I'll need one in case the Switch's SD Card needs to be empty out of its photo gallery. 4. USB-C. I only need it if I want to import photos from my iPhone to my laptop via USB-C Cable, but it's not really important for me. That's it for me. Any other ports on the laptop I don't see a utility for now.

Trouble configuring AppleTV as a SteamLink
DrMacintosh posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Hello, so I'm trying to configure the AppleTV SteamLink app so I can stream games from my desktop to my TV in front of my bed. However when attempting to do so I get the error, "cannot connect on port 27031." I have done a small bit of research and some people are saying that I should mess with the firewall of my PC (some claiming that I should outright disable it) and others saying that I need to open the appropriate ports on my router. I'm not entirely sure which is the best course of action here. These devices are on my local network, so I don't see why I would need to open a port on my router unless SteamLink needs to phone home for whatever reason. My network looks like this: My PC and AppleTV are in my room. The PC is connected over ethernet to my AirPort Extreme and my AppleTV is wirelessly connected to the AirPort Extreme. The AirPorts are both in bridge mode with static IPs and no routing functions. So what should I try? Configuring my PCs firewall to allow the connection or try to allow the ports on my router? Thanks in advance. -
Hey guys, so I found this jack in my room and it looks like an Ethernet jack, but I'm not so sure, can someone please help me. thank you.

Hi everyone. This is my first post to the LTT forum, so not sure if this is going to help. I'm struggling to set-up port forwarding for a server for Wreckfest. I have completed the necessary steps on the Hub web page, with the correct local and external port ranges, and protocols. I have ensured everything is enabled, and have tried disabling firewalls, and setting up exceptions for the ports etc. However, each time I test the ports (Using web based port checkers, such as: https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and using the command console with "Netstat -ab" to see "listening") it doesn't show that the ports are open. I'm using the Hub 3.0 from Virgin Media, and am based in the UK. Am I missing anything, or is there anything you guys can suggest? TYIA

So I'm trying to forward some ports (minecraft (25565)), but every time I fail. Right now I'm very confused due to the fact that: -I have a mikrotik LHG-LTE6 antenna - going to TP-LINK Archer C1200 (running in AP mode) Things I've tried so far - "/ip firewall nat add chain=dstnat protocol=tcp dst-port=25565 in-interface=lte1 action=dst-nat to-address=192.168.88.244 to-ports=25565" "/ip firewall filter add chain=forward dst-address=192.168.88.244 protocol=tcp dst-port=25565 action=accept"

Hi... I'm planning on converting my old laptop into a desktop pc thingy... I want to use an after market dc power port for it so that the final product would look cleaner... How do I wire it? The original port had 4 wires, 2 red and 2 black... The new port has only 3... I did try to find info online but best i could find is that the 3rd pin on the new port is a sense wire to detect if its plugged in... Im assuming the 2 red wires can be soldered to 1 pin on the new port and same for the black wire? I haven't bought parts yet so i don't know if the new port is labelled or not... Where do I solder the sense pin and how do I identify which one is the sense pin?

sorry for my lack of good speakings but i will try to be brief, i just finished building my first from the ground pc, with an i3 1100f an asus primeH410M-E mobo, 16gb ddr4 ram, 240lexar ssd and a gtx 1660oc (budget because brazil but quite effective) anyway i was transfering some files from my NAS and i noticed my transfer speeds were very slow <1mb/s while in my old setup it was 10mb/s or more, now all my speed tests are showing 10mb ethernet speeds, but in my old pc its showing 150mb/s, is like the ethernet port is limithing my bandwith and i cant seem to find how to fix it, i ddu all my drivers updated windows, its all up to date, but still no more than 1.1mb/s speeds while doing anything related to the ethernet jack

motherboard What's a good motherboard for a NAS?
arthurc_ posted a topic in Servers, NAS, and Home Lab
What's a good motherboard for a NAS that has like tons of 6GB/s SATA ports and is not overpriced or like very expensive? Or should I just buy a SATA expansion card? My current build without a mobo or an expansion card: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ACin_/saved/ykjspg -
Hello everyone! I recently built a brand-new PC, and I've run into a problem. When the system is idle everything is okay, but when I open a game(Destiny 2, yet to test on others) the signal from the GPU(XFX Speedster QICK 319 AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT) starts to disappear and appear again. When I plug the cable into another DisplayPort, the issue is not occurring. It may be a broken port, but why is it normal when the system is idle? I've had trouble messages from Adrenaline, but they stopped appearing when I updated Windows, so it does not seem to be a driver issue. Does anyone know what to do? I can provide additional info if needed? Thank you for reading!

So I am renting a house and they include the internet with rent. But the problem is I am unable to accesses the router to port forward so I can not host any kind of games. I did go to the normal way of logging into a router using the 192.168 in the address bar. how ever when I do that I get the screen below. So even trying the default is a no go. I do have physical access to the router. Is there anyway to bypass it or any other way to port forward without having to login to the router using the 192.168 way? The ISP is Spectrum and the router is TP- Link archer c7 ac1750.

Hey, i cannot port forward anything from my pc. I did it on my router, but canyouseeme couldnt find it. I Ran a tenlet test in command line, i tried a static ip but the dns server failed (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). I tried almost everything, inbound and outbound rules on my pc, windows defender off, ect. I tried a second router as well. I have no clue on why its not portforwarding, almost all my ports are closed. Not even my ISP is blocking all of them.
