Hello, I have a question about the PCIEX1_2 slot on the ASUS B650E-F. When I try to plug in my Elgato HD 60 pro in this slot the card does not get recognniced by the PC. I know the Elgato is fine because it works fine when I put it in the PCIEX16_2 slot, which I cannot use because it would disable the M.2_3 slot. Can someone tell me a fix or what im doing wrong?

Upgraded from a 3900X to a 5900X tonight. Upon starting my pc after install, it immediately goes to BSOD Machine Check Exception, then to WHEA Uncorrectable Error. Tried without XMP, right into WHEA. I've reseated my CPU twice, booted into Windows for about 30 seconds and then it BSODed again after logging in. Currently just boot looping into a BSOD. Aggressively Googled this and nothing I can find works. I'm on the most current stable BIOS release. I've cleared CMOS. CPU idling at 41⁰C according to BIOS. I can't get into the OS so I can't get dumpfiles. Booting into safe mode doesn't work at all. Is my new CPU defective? Any help at all is much appreciated and much needed. I really have no clue what to do.

I need help, I don't know what to do and it driving me insane... Information on parts I'm using CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Motherboard: Asus Tuf Gamining x570-Plus (Wi-Fi) [Bios: SMBIOSBIOSVersion 4602] Ram: DDR4 2x32GB [speed:3600mhz] Power supply: 1000W CORSAIR RM1000e Fully Modular 80 PLUS Gold Windows Version: Window 10 [The issue] After i swap my Graphic card from a 2060 Super, I play a lot of VR Games. On the 2060 Super everything run fine, run smoothly and all. However once i install the 3090 into it and try to run VR I lag like there no tomorrow, and i notice that when i run GPU-Z I notice that the GPU Clock and Memory Clock is not reading at all and show blank (Image to show the issue) I try doing other trouble shooting like uninstalling my graphic driver by using DDU and installing a fresh install of the driver for the graphic card and still give me the same issue. When swapping back to my 2060 Super It act like it never an issue and display the GPU Clock and Memory Clock and never lags in VR whatsoever. Has anyone run into this issue or know the fix to this.. I hope the information i provided and parts along with the bios version can be of some help..

Ok so my local drive on my laptop only has 70 gigs free out of 900 and I've been looking for ways to free some space. I'm looking in the settings in system storage and in the temporary files it lists downloads. I'm wondering if I should delete it. I'm concerned because I don't want it to delete any of my games from steam and other apps like discord. would affect any apps if I did. Additionally if I did do it and regret it is there a way to make a backup or save or some kind so I can go back in time? I don't have a drive to make a real back up.

Please help!! specs: Ryzen 5 3600 AMD Radeon rx 5500xt corsair cv550 psu B450 aorus elite v2 team group gx2 512gb ssd corsair vengeance 3600mhz16gb ram My pc used to work perfectly fine before I had a problem where it would restart everytime I would login, I then reinstalled windows onto it and it worked fine, I left it on a clean install of windows for around 5 minutes while I took out the trash and came back to it showing a black screen, mnk were both off yet the pc was on, it wasnt in sleep mode either, I attempted to restart it multiple times and nothing worked, I assumed it was the motherboard and shipped it in with the RMA process. I just got it back and the pc wont post, sometimes it will boot into bios and it will say that the bios has been updated and reset and everytime I press “ok” my screen goes black and mnk both turn off, my motherboard then shows a red led on dram. Most of the time I cant even get it to post, sometimes my keyboard is on but my mouse only comes on for the short time I enter bios my pc was only working for a few weeks before these problems surfaced, motherboard has newest bios installed, I wasnt able to install the drivers for my graphics card however as I had just installed a fresh install of windows, im willing to answer any and all questions, please help, im 16 and I bought this pc with my own money and I just want it to work again.

I don't know why but when I got on this morning, there were lots of resolution and sizes changes on my computer. For example, my taskbar icon got smaller and I can't seem to change it back. Not only that, my application spacing between each app got bigger so each app is far away from each other then usual. Please help me. Also, I don't know If this links with the original problem, but my screen started flickering when I open a game. I don't know If you can tell the difference between the sizes, but here they are.

i was recently paying forza horizon 5. i was getting low streaming bandwidth error so i went to apps and features and moved it to disk c from disk d. in the process of transfer my computer crashed. i restarted it. when i restarted it the game had occupied storage on the disk (previously i had 130+gb left and now had 13gb left). i coudnt find the game file on the disk so i could delete it and reinstall. I cant find the file by searching and other methods. what should i do????????????

I have a huge problem that’s cost me a lot of money to try and fix whit no luck. I’m reaching out i hopes to find someone who may be able to fix my poor PC. When I use my comp I typically have no issues to normal task such as search the web or opening files. However, when I launch a game my computer almost immediately reboots.. specs: Ryzen 7 5800x Asus B-550 A corsair vengeance 2x16gb 3600 aorus 3080 ti corais RM750 M.2 WD 750 1TB m.2 WD 850 1TB I’ve replaced the motherboard with no luck, I also swapped out 3 different sets of RAM cards, I’ve tried a 1000watt PSU, Swapped to a Ryzen 1700x, Reinstalled windows and all other software to a new M.2, and Swapped to a evga 1080 gtx. It’s safe to say I’ve damn near tried everything and hope I get maybe someone here or the man Linus himself can help me.. I’m desperate and almost broke.. please help!

Hello All, I am sure most of you would not agree with me on this but I do not like Pulseway. Why might you ask, well its very simple. Once you sign up for their services you are stuck. They will not give you a refund, even if they dropped the ball. After migrating our company to Pulseway we started to encounter issues with their services and it became very apparent that pulseway was not a good decision. I had submitted numerous cancellation requests and even tried contacting their CEO. Marius Mihalec to which I received no response. The last communication I received from them "the entire contract and any line items from the contract can not be canceled." As of now I am stuck with a service that I paid 10s of thousands of dollars for that I cannot use.

Been wanting to get a new motherboard that can support 5000 series Ryzen. Anyone have any recommendations for any motherboards that have USB C and at least 2 Addresable RGB headers. I have a budget of 250$ USD.

I managed to get a pre built PC today and I started by updating windows and then installing the drivers for my motherboard. The motherboard is a Z590 Aorus Master. I downloaded all of the drivers from: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z590-AORUS-MASTER-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-sataraidahci And then I started installing them 1 by 1 starting with chipset, then lan, then audio, and next I started installing the drivers from SATA/RAID/AHCI section. The youtube videos I've watched just say install drivers as one of the first things you do, but apparently I shouldn't install these? I think after I installed this driver: Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Note) Win10 20H2 supported. [18.31.3.1036] 8.57 MB 2021/04/09 I restarted my computer, and now after I login, I can't get to desktop. Here are screenshots of what I get after putting in my password to login. If I click OK, then I get this Then I click ok and It sends me back to the previous screenshot back and forth. PLEASE HELP ME! I've watched a fair number of youtube tutorials, but I wouldn't call myself a power user at all. What have I tried? - I Downloaded this driver onto a USB stick from my other computer and put it into the other computer and tried to get it to read it after pressing SHIFT and going to the power option at login. Specs: Mainboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite x570 CPU: ryzen 9 3900xt Ram: Crucial Ballistix weiß DIMM Kit 16GB, DDR4-3200, GPU 1070Nvidia PSU: be quiet! STRAIGHT POWER11 CM 1000W My issue is that the Pc wont post. I checked all the cables and everything is spinning and on all Power cables are connected. I also tried putting only one Ram stick in and changing its location but nothing helped. I think that it could be because of the CPU. But it also can be the Mainboard because, the system turns on by the Power switch but it is just not possible to turn the system off with the off switch. I dont know what to do. The Mainboard has a Qflash function so I will try that tomorow but does anyone have other ideas to fix the problem. Or can i somehow find out what cause of theese problems is? Ps: now I installed the newest bios the problem is still there.

I installed the Default Improved texture pack from curse forge. I have seus renewed shader pack in minecraft 1.13.2, everything runs as normal. when i apply the texture pack everything is normal. but when i join my world the game crashes with error code-1 i know the texture pack is compatible beacuse the font changed! it's not even a heavy texture pack. So, this is a long story. basically, i started off by uninstalling my gpu drivers. i had like 15 different engines and i just wanted the Radeon one for my Rx580. i was going to just run without drivers for a while, no harm right? so it says to restart pc to finish. it turns off. but now, it turns on, and the monitor says no signal. Now, before you ask, I have tried- Reseating the RAM Reseating the CPU Different GPU Different Motherboard Different Boot Device Nothing. I watched a lot of videos and the overall consensus was that my RAM was dead, or incompatible with my MOBO. so i went to best buy and got a brand new set of Corsair 16gb 3600 Speed ram, an upgrade to the samsung 16gb 2666 ram i had. i am fine with paying for the new ram, but it did not solve my problem. Does anyone have any possible clue?? CPU- Ryzen 7 1700 GPU- Gigabyte RX580 8G Gaming (backup gpu- MSI Gt710) Ram- noted above. Hello, this is my first post here. I hope i get a solution out of this because i am scared as hell right now. I have a Lenovo Legion Y540 Gaming laptop with a core i5 - 9300h and an RTX 2060. I recently opened up some intense games like GTA V, and noticed how the temperatures went to 95 degrees. Almost had a panic attack and installed throttlestop. I went in there and undervolted the system to -140mV. The CPU ran great for a few days, at 3.5 to 4Ghz and the temperatures were constantly below 80 degrees. Today however, i started noticing some issues. The CPU will no longer clock above 3Ghz. I uninstalled ThrottleStop and restarted the PC, in hopes that everything would turn back to normal. However, no luck. I installed XTU and ran stress tests too. Still no luck. For some reason my underclock is greyed out on XTU, otherwise i would have just used that. Somebody please help me as soon as they can, I'm shivering as i type this. Using Valorant as a benchmark, i used to constantly have the system automatically pulling 4Ghz normally, now not above 3Ghz whatsoever. So its not the laptop limiting its resources cuz it doesnt need as much because it used to eat up all of the CPU before. Pls pls pls help me :c

This has been happening sins I reset my PC and because of it I am getting constant lag in games. Please help

I have a i5-3570s with 12 GB RAM. GT 710 Graphics card with 2GB VRAM. Just Recently my computer has gone crazy. When I boot up it brings up an error screen that windows can't find the path to the drive. I then hit the escape key and it sends me to the BIOS settings in which I hit escape again and then it will send me to Windows to boot. So I tried to Troubleshoot it by doing a clean install of windows, formatting all the drives, running on my main drive where windows is loaded(it won't even see this drive as bootable without my HDD), and clearing CMOS. Does anyone have answers???!!!!

On my linux mint cinnamon 20.3 I can't update anything using the update manager because it always shows up like malformed entry 8 and even the driver I am trying to install for the wifi is at applying changes stage like for hours... I search everywhere on the web but the more I try to solve, the deeper the rabbit hole goes... Finally I decided to give up and downloaded windows 8.1 and made a boot drive, even that ain't working... Anyone knows a solution abt this? (PS: I'm new to linux)

im in my room and my laptop goes down to 2 bars when playing val at times and i get massive mag spikes this has never happed before

So I built my pc and it consists of Rx 590 Ryzen 7 2700x and other parts etc. My pc sometimes randomly crashes and it’s a huge issue! Everything just goes black and then the pc acts as if it’s just booting up. The pic below is what it says in the event viewer! This is urgent as I spent all my savings on the pc and I’m 16 lol!

My power supply just arrived and I plugged everything (works fine), until I decided to plug the molex connector into the power supply because a video said it "could" enable pwm, so I did, when I turned it on, nothing happened, I disconnected it then plugged it back in when it was on, then the molex cable made a shock sound and the pc turned off. I turned it back on and the motherboard leds were very dim, no light on gpu (has rgb). I am just wondering if the power supply can kill my pc parts? Hello people! This is my first time here! I love the Tech Tips from Linus and the Techquickie channel!!! I want to know if my desktop PC is slightly out dated an needs some small upgrades to zoom along. PLEASE NOTE: I have NEVER opened up a computer and do not know how install hardware(I'm a software guy) but I do have a basic general understanding of most components, please forgive me for errors! Using info from Task Manager, I have Windows 10 Home, an Intel i5-7400 CPU @3.00Ghz, 8gb of form factor DIMM RAM with a speed of 2400Mhz, A 1 tb Hard drive, and finally A NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050ti. By the way brand is a Dell XPS. Please tell me if my desktop computer is good enough or I should do something. Please help and thank you! So i recently did some shopping at micro to build my girl a pc. I picked myself up a gigabyte b450 aorus elite and a 16gb kit of g skill trident z rbg and some sleeved cable extensions. When I went to install the new stuff to my pc it wouldnt boot turns out i had a wild standoff that was shorting out my mother board. After hours of trial and error trying to figure that out I got it to boot, got into to windows and all that good stuff. I went into the bios being the tinkerer that i am and sent my ryzen 5 2600 to 4ghz straight away because that's what I ran on, on my last motherboard. everything was fine with that, then i realized that my ram wasnt running at its rated speed or latency. SO being the big brained individual that i am i turned on the a-xmp profile on the bios and touched nothing else and when i hit save and exit, i had the aorus logo on my monitor for a good half an hour so i turned my pc off. and now every time i try to boot it it doesnt get passed the dram light on the motherboard. ive tried clearing the cmos NOTHING i switched in a corsair vengeance lpx kit NOTHING i put the trident z kit in my girl's computer AND IT WORKS I reseated the ram the cpu put one stick no sticks NOTHING WORKSSSSS. PLEASE SEND HELP A S A P.

Hello! I just got my package of goods and afeter puting the parts together it wont boot... It just flashes the splash screen for a split second and then goes black. Rinse and repeat... I have an asrock x570 steel legend and ryzen 7 3700x. I use 16 gigs of trident z royal 3600 mhz ram. I have a gtx 1070 for my graphics card. Does anyone have any sugestions on what to try? I already reseated everything except my ssd and cleared the cmos. Thanks in advance.

I will be upgrading laptops soon and want to make the data transfer as easy as possible. ***I will be using a friends computer with multiple bay so no need for external shenanigans*** Here is the situation as it stands now (once new laptop is purchased): (1) Old laptop (1TB HDD) with "old" boot, "old" programs and misc. files (1) New laptop (128+GB M.2 running at SATA) with "new" boot (and bloatware *sad trombone*) (1) New laptop (1TB HDD) blank from Amazon As I will be selling my old laptop, this is what I would like to end up with: Old laptop HDD with "old" boot only New laptop M.2 with "new" boot and "old" programs New laptop HDD with misc. files Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
