Evening All, Began the creation of my first website, and I'm having trouble utilizing the tools that wix.com is providing me. I've invested in my domain, and the 1-year subscription to the service, and now I'm unsure if I should continue the service, being that I am having difficulty creating the appearance I am wanting. My question is this, is wix.com a good platform to build my website, or should I get a refund for the year subscription and put my money into something else? Is there a program that is better for website building? I just want to start creating my website right the first time around, and not have to change later in the year. thanks for your time!

Hi, (May be a hot topic) In the past I have not been disturbed by the in-video and starting ads of Youtube videos. I have always been prompted one or two 20 second ad with the option to skip out after 5 seconds. This is fine and I understand Youtubes need for income. But there comes a point when ads completely destroy the experience. In the past month I have been prompted the following for almost every video with ads. Start of a 15 - 20 minute video: Video click 20 second ad 15 second ad About 5 - 7 minute video mark 20 second ad 15/20 second ad About 11 - 13 minute video mark 20 second ad 15/20 second ad End of video There are often smaller intervals of ads on shorter videos and I can not prompt out of ads anymore. I have had enough with the ads and do not care if Youtube will not get revenue from me, they have enough of money to investigate user behavior and research ad experience. Note: Below I am not going to put words in the LTT team below I might be wrong. Hypothetically this can happen. I think Linus knows the watching experience is bad for the channel with Youtube ads, and I think he is wrong for taking Youtubes side in "Is Adblock Piracy?" Link below. There is a reason why LTT do not prompt Youtube ads and go with the in video edited sponsorship ads. Sure it might pay a little more and the team need a good salary, LTT does probably not run a good business if they do not have ad income. If Youtube one day changes the rules and demand to prompt in-video ads, LTT needs to follow these rules. This risk is then something you need to prepare for. Question I will get a lot, why I think Linus is taking Youtubes side in this topic. In the whole discussion he is pointing out that it is a platform for creators paid by ads by viewers. This is a good point but we as viewers still determine how you get paid. It is just like a good working democracy, If the people do not like the rules they will change, like it or not you will have to seek out other opportunities for income, platforms change. Now I know that this is a rare case, but long ads still will hurt the platform with more use of ad-blocker software and that is bigger than LTT and will lead to new changes. I am a pirate and I will ware my patch until changes take place. Yarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy Couch Gaming Platform on Amazon: http://geni.us/HSQf If you're going to spend a bunch of money on a couch gaming platform, why not make it customized just for you? Couchwood Instructions Measure and cut a piece of plywood 54” by 16” (4’6” x 1’4”) Mark 18” from either end on both 54” sides, and draw a line 2” deep towards the center of the piece Connect the terminal points of both lines (should measure 18”) Using a circular saw or jig saw and wood guides, cut out the marked section. Cut two pieces of 18” x 16”plywood Cut a piece of 2x4 into four 18” lengths and two 16” lengths Use a table saw to put a 45° slant on one end of the 18” lengths and both ends of the 16” lengths Use wood glue to attach two 18” 2x4 pieces and one 16” piece in a U shape on each of the 16”x18” pieces of plywood After the wood glue has set slightly, turn each piece over and use wood screws to anchor the 2x4s into place Turn each box back over and place the large H shaped piece overtop them so that the large squares on either end rest over the boxes you have just assembled Use wood glue and screws to anchor the surface to the boxes Cut a piece of 1x3 into five 4” sections and one ½” section Use a table saw to cut one end of four of the 4” sections to 45°, keep the cut off pieces Cut one end of the remaining 4” section to 15° Place the keyboard you are using for the gaming station in the location on the surface most convenient for you Use the four 4” sections with 45° cuts to create corner brackets for the upper left and upper right portions of your keyboard and attach with wood glue Place the remaining 4” section with the slanted end facing directly down in the area where you would like to have a phone dock and attach with wood glue Place the ½” section slightly ahead of the slanted piece of wood to keep your phone from sliding forward and attach with wood glue Use wood glue to attach the cut off pieces from step 13 in a ring standing upright where you would like to have a beverage holder Allow some time for the glue to set, then use a drill to cut holes for cords at the keyboard station, phone dock, and on the side of the box where you will place your mousepad Use wood stain or paint to decorate as desired Place the mouse pad on one of the large squares and use 1” wood screws and washers in each corner to lock in place Place your keyboard in the brackets, then apply hot glue to the underside of a wrist rest and press it into place Place your phone in the dock and attach a charging cable to it. Glue the charging cable to the underside of the surface Use hot glue to attach a USB hub to the underside of the surface, far enough forward to allow a knee rest to be attached afterwards Plug the keyboard, mouse, and charging cable into the USB hub, then tuck extraneous cables into the boxes on either side of the platform Use hot glue to attach an 18” half cylindrical foam roller to the middle of the underside of the bridge between the two boxes. Hold it in place while glue sets. Use a 10’ USB cable to attach the gaming platform to your system of choice. Game!

Luke are you and the people working on the video platform at a position to add more content and other channels? With Kyle doing the paid channel and with Jayz and everyone getting offices. I feel if they were able to post to website other than YouTube for more quality footage then it would be something to look into. Pricing of something reasonable, 6-8/month for Bitwit, Pauls, Jayz, MKBHD maybe Level1 but those guys can probably run their own haha. Linus always said whats better for the community is better for the business so can we make it happen? I personally won't be joining but I would prefer one as a package and posting on yours the quality would be better.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/BH8HtJ Here's what I currently do with this system. I play games at 1080p 60Hz. I also edit and make videos with this rig. I also run Windows 10 and Mac OS Sierra as well. I'm curious, if you had this rig what would you upgrade to it. I am trying to spend the least amount possible. Maybe $400 USD Max 1) Upgrade GPU to 1070 or RX 580 (When it comes available again...) 2) Upgrade to Ryzen or Kaby Lake, respective mobos and DDR4 Ram 3) Upgrade to bigger capacity HDD or SSDs

Microsoft Edge should be on Android. We all know and see and that Google Chrome is by far the most used and loved browser nowadays, be it Windows, Linux, Android or even MacOS or its mobile counterpart. The wide range of extensions, speed and ease of use make it the go-to option for most users. When we all saw Microsoft Edge for the first time, let's face it, it didn't suck. In fact it had potential and is still extremely easy to use, and fast as well. As for extensions, how many of us actually even use extentions? I decided last week to give Edge a trial run for a week and see how well it handled me. And to be honest, I was surprised. It's an amazing and fast browser, well thought out and blends perfectly with Windows 10. However, the only thing that kept me back from making Edge as my daily browser, is that there's no Android counterpart for it. Neither for Linux, or iOS. I missed being able to check my browsing data from one device to another and it hindered with my habit of doing a lot of my productivity on mobile devices. The ability to sync across all devices is just amazing, and not having it there makes a browser seem incomplete. Microsoft is heading towards the right direction by joining and linking everything to a single Microsoft account, and I wish it were the same with Edge.

I have been googling for 5 hours and nothing. So I figured I would ask here and see if I find any answers. See the attached images. It will help understand my issue. If anyone with a Gigabyte mobo and a TPM is here and would like to help me, it would mean a lot to me. I want to use bitlocker on my Windows 7 Ultimate machine, so I bought a TPM for my motherboard. I do not want to use Bitlocker without a TPM because that would require a USB drive to be plugged it every time I turn on my PC, and I am going to lose it for sure. So I bought a TPM from Gigabyte ( GC TPM 2.0 ) and I have been trying to get it to work with my motherboard ever since ( Z97 Gaming 7 ). I should state that I have the latest BIOS Version. My motherboard has a TPM header and I plugged the GC TPM 2 in there. I went into BIOS -> Peripherals -> Trusted Computing -> Security Device Support and set this option to "enabled". When I rebooted the computer, I went into BIOS again and when I visited the Trusted Computing Section of the BIOS, instead of letting me set further options for my TPM (like enabling it so that the OS can "see" it ), it only shows the Security Device Support option and under current status it displays "Support disabled" or something like that. I cannot even set the TPM State to "enabled" in order for windows to recognize it. I have tried Loading Optimized defaults, I have tried clearing the CMOS. Nothing works. The motherboard knows it has a TPM connected to it (when i take it out the Trusted Computing section dissappears) but it only lets me change the Security Device Support option to "enabled or disabled" and nothing more, as it should. What's happening?

Source: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/huawei-kirin-970-ai-soc-ifa-2017,35381.html I think that this is an interesting platform, considering the size of the processor and how much processing power it packs inside of such a small size, this could bring a strong competition between the phone companies in terms of price to performance. I am also amazed that they can fit an 8 core processor in such a small form factor and still have lots of processing power at the same time.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to assist my department at my university to setup a solid platform to deliver decent online classes. These classes are NEVER online and need to meet a few requirements: 1) FREE (we cant afford anything else after textbooks) 2) Can hold at least 20-25 people 3) User friendly (my department are NOT techies...) -OPTIONAL- ~ can be accessed with our phones. We have Zoom currently, but it has given us some problems. Any information would be extremely helpful and appreciated!

I'm going to be upgrading my platform soon and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to sell my CPU, motherboard and ram as one unit so someone could save on shipping. Would it be wiser for me to sell the parts individually if I want the most back for them or do you guys think selling the whole platform at once would be attractive due to the savings on shipping and all that? Just looking for some thoughts on this. It's a Asus maximum hero VII, a 4790k and 16gb of corsair vengeance 2400mhz DDR3 ram.

So im working on this website for my missionary team and we want to set up a donation system. (for now we use paypal) We have a couple of different areas that we serve in and we have gotten many donations from people. The problem I keep running into though, is we need to set up a donation system in which the person donating can click a button for a specific ministry and his/her donation would go already preassigned for that ministry. I have been searching for a donation platform that can do this but I have not found any so far..... any suggestions?

I'm having trouble deciding how to spend the last of my Steam funds during the Winter Sale. I'm interested in some indie games that I know are really good, but since I haven't played them, I don't know which of these games I should pick up (I can't buy all of them). So, I'm hungry for anonymous opinions. Which game(s) would you choose?

With only minor improvements over Haswell in gaming-centric programs, I've witnessed many an argument as to whether Skylake is worth it, perhaps for the new features or the broader upgrade path. I still see almost everyone going with socket 1150, since it still has an upgrade path to high-end consumer CPUs like the i7-4790k, which performs on par with the flagship 6700k, although this could be subject to change with the release of superior Skylake processors. With that in mind, how long do you think the Skylake platform will last? Do you think the extended upgrade path is a good reason to pick Skylake, or should people stick with 1150 just as they stuck with 1155 when 1150 was new? Regards, Aereldor.

The age of quadcopters is here and 3DR is getting onboard with making stylish quadcopters (yes people, looks matter). This seems to be the classic Phantom esque profile but with 3DR flair. Their Iris+ wasn't exactly a looker, but this one is. Chances are it'll ship with the trusted APM flight controller system that allows for some truly autonomous control, maybe even a revamped one. http://www.engadget.com/2015/04/07/3d-robotics-stylish-drone-tease/

My Steam is ApeX_FuZiioN if any of you were wondering. Also, how long is the sale? Is it like a week or something?

I have a Lenovo keyboard, specifically one that came with a Lenovo Yoga tablet. I'm currently using it via bluetooth on my Windows 8 system, but the windows key (android key?) doesn't respond and many of the FN keys are either non-responsive or incorrectly labelled. Is there any way to get into the devices functionality and change some of the keys? I plan on buying a Windows specific keyboard soon, but until then I'm trying to get by with this little thing.

Hey guys, so windows 10 is coming (when do you think is it going to release?) and I still have this one question; My friends are playing Xbox (One) and I'm on my PC willing to upgrade to Windows 10, so somebody once said windows 10 user will be able to play with Xbox players? Is this true? And if yes, do you think GTA V and other games will be supported? But is this even possible? Does it mean that you can share your "Gamerscore" and earn Gamerscore on PC now, or is this really multiplayer so I can really play with my buddys one game in one lobby and stand next to each other or drive in one car in GTA for example? Thanks, Marc

This has been an issue that has bothered me ever since i refunded my overheating ge70 msi Apache for my custom build. It goes without saying that my computer now is faster, cooler, and overall a more enjoyable experience than my laptop could have given, but seeing now that advancements in cooling, energy savings, display, and graphics on laptops, im feeling a bit of guilt about giving up so fast on laptops. So im just looking for some sway either way, laptop or custom, as the superior platform for someone who wants the most out of their games, but also lan's and partys a lot. Maybe a M-ITX build is a better idea, im not sure? Im also not one to sit in front of a 14" laptop either, i do prefer my 24" screen, but i hate the bulk of my build, even in the HAF-XB Evo.
