  1. Budget (including currency): Ideally under $2500, but open to going above (i'd like to keep this pc for a while, so i'm open to splurging a bit haha) Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Genshin Impact (and other Hoyoverse games), lightly modded Minecraft, Photoshop, Audio/Music Production, Graphic Design Other details: (sorry in advance for the confusing way everything is written, i don't know what i am doing!!! also i dont have a pc parts picker list yet... i didn't get that far.) Current system as follows: 12700k TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI Motherboard (I think) 2x 16 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB RAM EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5 Power Supply ASUS TUF Gaming 3080 Fully Water Cooled with a Custom Loop with mostly Corsair HydroX stuff Currently built in an O11 Dynamic Future System: So here's the story. I'm going off to university soon, likely in a place far away from my hometown. I probably won't be able to visit home as much as I'd like, and while I would consider ditching my desktop for a gaming laptop, I've had bad luck with gaming laptops in the past and I'd like something familiar while I'm away from home. Being a university student, I probably wouldn't have the space for my PC as it currently is (the o11 dynamic is a pretty massive mid-tower case), and it's also way too heavy to lug around for the times I will go back home for break. So I plan on downsizing the case and potentially upgrading a few things (as well as changing the aesthetic). I like pretty things, so I want to build a white pc! I also want a case with at least one glass side panel so I can see pretty lights inside the pc. Ideally, I'd be able to have a white motherboard, white ram, and white power supply, etc. I'm open to modding things, but I don't have access to a lot of tools, so there isn't a lot that Ic an do. My pc is pretty black right now, so pretty much everything is going to be replaced since I'm stubborn like that! Unless the performance I have won't happen with these parts, I'm keeping my 12700k and my 3080, they both work just fine and I really don't want to water-block another gpu.... PC needs to be small enough to fit on TOP of a desk. I don't know what my dorm situation is going to look like, but I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to fit a pc under it. From my research (?), that would mean the case would probably have to be Micro-ATX but I've got no clue how small that is IRL, and I don't know if that will even be small enough. I'll be purchasing an audio interface eventually, as I'd like to produce music on this computer as well. I'm a singer, and having an XLR mic would be a game changer. Not sure if that's going to affect any of the PC specs, but what do I know? I'd like this PC to be capable of gaming at 4k, even though I won't be doing that most of the time (it's so impractical to have a massive monitor in a college dorm, but once I get my own place it'll be a different story). Refresh rate isn't as important, because I don't play many games that would need a high refresh rate. This PC is going to be fully water cooled with hardline tubing. I like the aesthetic way too much... I'll be collecting these parts steadily over the next 4-5 months and I'd like to build the computer in late June-early July. So here are a few questions (and things I'm considering): Is something like this even possible? As in, physically. Am I physically capable of squishing all these parts into a computer small enough? Should I upgrade my GPU now, since I'm upgrading so many things? If I do upgrade my GPU now, I'll probably build a Ryzen system instead of Intel, so my CPU would also change and then I would just be building a new computer at that point. At that point, I'd just sell my whole computer as is, whereas before, I was planning on selling the parts individually since I was planning on keeping a few things. Would I be able to even cool this comfortably with water cooling? are there cases that would allow me sufficient radiator space?
  2. So, I was planning on going with Fractal POP for my case, but I just got the wonderful idea of using a vacuum as a case. I've seen people build pcs in all sorts of crazy things, like microwaves, briefcases, toolboxes, backpacks, and cardboard boxes. I would probably go with one of the big barrel shaped vacuums, like this https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-9-Gallons-5-HP-Corded-Wet-Dry-Shop-Vacuum-with-Accessories-Included/1000533395?store_code=2471. If I did do this, how would I get the PC to turn on, use i/o, and supply power?
  3. Hello I bought the NZXT H6 Flow RGB that includes 3 of their 120mm ARGB fans and i noticed that it required 5V 3 Pin ARGB headers but my motherboard does not have them. I then went to search up about it and found the deepcool SC790, it has PWM + ARGB headers My question is will the ARGB work with this PWM + ARGB hub if i dont have any ARGB headers on my motherboard because it does get powered by SATA but to control fan speeds i still need to connect it to the motherboard with the included cable according to the manual. The manual also says that i need to connect the included 3 pin cable to the ARGB header on my motherboard (which i dont have). If i dont connect the 3 pin cable will it still show RGB on the fans? and would i be able to control the rgb? Or would i have to buy a seperate controller? And if i do need to buy anything extra please provide links that i can look at MANUAL:
  4. Budget (cad)( would like to keep it at or under 2,000): Country: Canada Games, programs, or workloads that it will be used for, school, video editing(light-ish), 3d mod, Minecraft, Minecraft server. CPU: i7 13700kf would a non f series Cpu help in video editing? CPU cooling: NH-D15 motherboard: B660 - B760 ?? any recommendations ?? Cheep-ish, at least 2 m.2s. 2-gigabit internet would be nice. (I don't plan on oc that's why I have not gone for a Z690 or a Z790, thoughts) memory: Trident Z RGB Series 64GB DDR4 3600 CL18 ( I was thinking that DDR5 gains were not worth the price is this wrong?) storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB GPU: 3080 ti (To be Purchased from Facebook marketplace) (if you have any better suggestions please make them) case: 5000D AIRFLOW PSU: Thor 850W any better suggestions cheaper would be nice, this unit comes with a ten-year warranty tho display: ??? 1080p, something with an aspect ratio for video editing ( not sure what that would be) This is my first time building a pc from scratch any help you can provide would be appreciated, thanks
  5. Budget (including currency): preferably under £400, I already own the SSD and Hard Drive from this list so they don't cost me anything. Country: Northern Ireland/UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Xbox/Xbox360 and Playstation 1/2 emulation, Blender, Unity Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Current part list: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/WZDYJy I already have the 2TB hard drive and 128GB SSD from an older broken PC, but this is my first build, so I have little to no experience picking parts. I have no idea what to look for in a case, so advice on whether cheap is ok would be great. I am less concerned about how well games run and more concerned about Blender and Unity running smoothly as my current laptop runs games fine but really struggles with those. Don't need a keyboard or mouse, will I be able to use a Bluetooth speaker or do I need an adaptor for that?
  6. Introduction Hello! I have made a post similar to this couple years back in 2021. However, I never got around to actually making the build because of some unfortunate events that had caused me to delay said build. Then again, this also allowed me to have a larger budget to afford a new PC. But I will still need to gut out my GPU from my current build because I don't want to spend $800 on a graphics card I won't be benefiting from right away, I think my GTX 1070 should do the job. Therefore, I have made a new build on PC Part Picker to hopefully better suit my needs. My goal is to basically create a long lasting PC with a fair upgrade path in the 13th generation of intel CPUs and upgrade my GPU to a RTX card in the future. In my list, I picked the i5 13th gen Intel CPU, which I plan to buy the i9 a few years down the line as an upgrade path as well. To me, this makes sense on saving some money upfront and being able to better afford other parts of the PC, like M.2 storage. However, I'm making this post because this will be my first time building a PC on my own and I have a few questions to ask regarding certain parts of the PC. Location & Use Budget (USD): $1,300 Maximum Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Work Related (Art & Practical Use) - 3D Modeling and Animation (ZBrush and Blender) - CAD (Fusion 360) - 3D Printing Slicer Software Personal Use (Video Games & Other) - Large Title Games like BF2042 and other demanding games. - Battlefield 4 - VR (Beat Saber, Onward, & VR Chat) - Photography (Photo Editing) - Other 2D & 3D Software (Gimp & MagicaVoxel) PC Build Specs PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4G8TKp CPU: Intel Core i5-13600K 3.5 GHz 14-Core Processor ($319.83 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Deepcool LS720 85.85 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($131.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($219.99 @ B&H) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5600 CL36 Memory ($120.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($87.00 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($169.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA SC GAMING ACX 3.0 GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Video Card (Purchased For $0.00) Case: NZXT H9 Flow ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM650x (2021) 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($104.99 @ Amazon) Total: $1154.78 Questions I Have 1) I plan to experiment around with overclocking the i5-13600K, this is the reason why I went with the Deepcool LS720. To further elaborate, my specific reason is to have a more than sufficient enough cooling as to prevent damaging the CPU if I happen to make a mistake and to also keep my PC as quiet as it can be. Does this make sense for me to choose the LS720 or should I go for the LS520? 2) Motherboards, I'm honestly mostly in the dark when it comes to motherboards. My requirements are to have 4 M.2 slots for storage and Ethernet, yet I haven't got a clue for what to look out for in a motherboard. What I do know is that I do want the latest motherboard designed for the 13th gen Intel CPUs, especially to eventually handle the i9 13th gen I plan to buy as an upgrade in the future. Is the choice of my motherboard a good one? Also, if you can, what should I specifically look for in a motherboard to determine it's quality? 3) DDR5 is pretty new to me, in fact, I currently run DDR3 in my PC. I want to go with DDR5 for future proofing my PC, I don't want to be stuck with last gen RAM like I was stuck with DDR3 when DDR4 was the norm. I have seen recommendation favoring 5600 DDR5 RAM, was this a good choice of RAM? 4) Storage, I plan to mostly just use M.2 SSDs for my storage. I could use normal internal SSDs, but I do know the general benefits of M.2 being a lot faster and easier to install. I plan to upgrade my storage in the future by filling up all 4 slots, each slot has it's own specialized use, and increasing storage size as my workload needs increase as well. The Samsung 980 Pro is one I have been recommended quite a lot for reliability and warranty, but Kingston's NV2 is way cheaper with the downside of lower quality and warranty. Is Kingston's M.2 Gen 4 RAM good as a boot drive or should I still stick with the 500GB Samsung 980 Pro? Final Note: This is all I can think of at the moment for my questions I have, but there is one thing I didn't think would be very relevant when it came to my dedicated questions. More so, this is just talking about PC cases. I really would like to get the NZXT H9 Flow, I think the design's aesthetics are a lot more improved over the O11 from Lian Li. Has there been any word on when they will have it back in stock? Anyway, thank you very much for reading my post!(˶′◡‵˶) If you happen to respond with some advice and general help, I'll very much appreciate your efforts as I'm someone who is new to PC building.
  7. Hey there guys I am trying to design a network for myself in a new place and I need your help. Right now my network is a total mess so I decided to try and start from scratch, when moving into a new place that I can lay the cables down and have a separate rack for all my servers and networking stuff. The issue is, I tried to draw a graph like this one below, but I can't seem to find any hardware that would fit this, in the current state. That either means don't know where to look or my plan has some obvious flaws (which wouldn't surprise me with my lack of experience) So this is why I am seeking your help - what should I change, and what hardware would be a "good enough" solution? I don't plan on spending a fortune, but any ideas would be appreciated. I've left some remarks below the graph with some more details Remarks: Things marked in blue are outside the rack, everything else will be inside Things marked in dark green are "planned for future" but not a part of initial scope Things marked in light green are "what I am looking for" Dotted line means optional Backup LTE connection is assigned to (1) but it is not "fixed" as I am not sure where to connect it (maybe directly into 3 or something like that). Right now I am using it plugged directly into my workstation with a USB RJ45 dongle. Spare connection points are "spare" in a sense that I will have RJ45 sockets around the new place, would make sense to populate them I was thinking about 1GbE connection to all of the points besides the group under (3) I am not sure if it makes sense to split into so many devices, maybe there is a single router that could handle all of this, or maybe it would make sense to combine "some" of the parts. The connection between (1) and (3) is my attempt at redundancy Aight, should be all of the details, hope I didn't forget anything. Hope my idea is not that stupid and with a few tweaks here and there I can have a good plan on what to buy and how to put it together Thanks in advance, for any help

  9. Hey all! I wanted your thoughts. I'm wanting to build my first PC. It really sounds fun and I have a few reasons for doing it, but I've done a bit of research, looked at Linus' videos. I'm wondering if you guys think this is a good list or if you could save me if I have any serious compatibility issues. I want a build for the tower to be close to $500 without the GPU, if I have a good reason to pay more, I will but I'm trying to keep this first one small. Right now I have... AMD Ryzen 5 3rd Gen - RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 65W 100-100000031BOX Desktop Processor $229 MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II AM4 AMD B450 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard $89.99 G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-16GVKB $59.97 Western Digital WD Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB PCI-Express 3.0 x4 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) WDS500G2B0C $44.99 EVGA 600 GD 100-GD-0600-V1 600W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Non-Modular Active PFC Power Supply $35.18 Phanteks Eclipse P300 PH-EC300PTG_BK Black Steel Chassis, Tempered Glass Window ATX Mid Tower Computer Case $49.99 That's about $510 before taxes... I'm thinking I'll hold off on a GPU for now since they are so expensive, this probably won't be used for a ton of gaming anyways, I just want it to be robust and have the ability to do so if it needs to. Like, for example, I know I could probably just get 8 GBs of ram, but 16 GBs doesn't need too bad for a $60 price and the power supply is only $35 even though it's 600 w which my pc doesn't need that much but $35 feels pretty cheap and I'd like the idea of getting a GPU later when prices go down. Did I miss anything? I think I got it right, but just in case, are there any serious compatibility issues? Any recommendations about how the cooling system should be set up with this case/configuration? Is there an obvious better choice in a component that will seriously save me more money? Is there an obvious better choice in quality of component that isn't too much of a compromise pricewise? I look forward to and appreciate your thoughts!
  10. Small Introduction This is my first time building a PC of my own, I previously bought a premade PC about 6 years ago with the only upgrade being a GTX 1070. The only PC component I plan on keeping with my current build is the GTX 1070 and possibly my 1TB Hard Drive. I have done a lot of research on the PC and what I want out of it, but I want to make sure I get this reviewed over by people who are a lot more experienced. My main goal is to have this PC for about the next 4 - 5 years, with minimal problems when it comes to games and compatibility with any upgrades. The upgrades I plan on getting is a M.2 4th Gen nvme SSD (500GB or 1TB) and especially get at least a RTX 3060. I also have intention to do some overclocking when I work up the courage to do such a task. Additionally, I got some very important questions regarding to any possible complications that the PCPartPicker website had told me about and also questions about my planned upgrades in the future. I hope to get feedback from people to make sure my PC build is good for my use and any questions I have gets answered, so I can be confident in my purchases I hope to be making soon. It says I may need an additional 4-pin power connector for my motherboard, especially if I want to do higher demand workload and overclocking. Will I need an additional 4-Pin ATX Power Connector? Will I be able to attach an additional 4-pin ATX Power Connector to my PSU? Where can/should I buy an additional 4-pin ATX Power Connector if I need to buy it? 2) I intend for my PSU to work with any possible upgrades in the future, but I don't want to spend a lot on the upfront cost right now. I plan to put in a M.2 4th Gen nvme SSD and at least a RTX 3060 for my additional upgrades. Will my PSU work for what I have now and an upgrade to a M.2 4th Gen nvme SSD? Will my PSU be good for an RTX card upgrade or will I have to get a larger PSU when I upgrade? Is my PSU wattage too large for what I have now? Final Note: Thank you very much for reading my forum post and I await to get some responses regarding my questions and if my PC is good for my use. Again, this is my first time building a PC of my own and I may not know the terminology nor exactly that my parts are good for my use and intended plan for it to last at least 4 - 5 years. I'll be very grateful for anyone who responds to help me out with my PC build and the questions I have!

  13. Budget: Around $2000 USD Country: The United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: DaVinci Resolve 16, Blender, Unreal Engine 4, maybe some light gaming (not priority) Other details: I'm thinking about embarking on my first PC build and I have very limited knowledge about compatibility and really what's best for what I need. I did some research and I stumbled onto Linus' budget 4K editing pc build and based my build around it. However, that video is over a year old so I'd like to use more updated hardware and maybe even have the capability to edit higher quality than 4K, maybe 5 or 6K, without sacrificing too much of a smooth editing experience, if possible. I also would like to be able to use blender and unreal engine as well but my main priority is editing. My current set up is a Microsoft Surface Studio 2 with an Intel Core i7, 32 GB of memory, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, and a 2 TB SSD from Toshiba. I also have a Late 2015 iMac with an Intel Core i5, 8 GB of memory, an AMD Radeon R9 M395, and a 2 TB Fusion Drive. I mainly use the Surface as my daily driver and workhorse. I'll occasionally use the iMac if I need a second computer screen for something. I recently got my Surface back in May (2020) as a birthday gift and I was excited to finally have a PC that had decent performance. It is the best computer I've ever owned and I am still very happy with it. It runs most of the games I play at max settings and can even run older AAA titles (Fallout 4 and GTA V) at medium settings. It can even run some VR games decently well. Where my issues lie is with its performance in DaVinci Resolve. I've been working on a project for school that involves editing music videos shot using 4K footage and I find my computers performance to drop substantially the longer I edit to the point where it almost isn't usable (laggy playback, software crashes, etc.). I believe I narrowed the issues down to my computers GPU. If I understand correctly, DaVinci Resolve is a GPU based editing software and I don't think my hardware is powerful enough for the workloads. I looked into the possibility of boosting performance with an eGPU but after some research I found out that the Surface Studio 2 doesn't have Thunderbolt so it's impossible to connect a eGPU. I haven't tried editing using my iMac yet but I don't think that it will perform any better because it's a much older computer with worse hardware. I think the best solution is to upgrade to a better computer but I could totally be wrong and maybe all of my issues could be fixed with tweaking the settings, I would greatly appreciate some input on that as well. Here is the my attempt to find some parts that I think would work. Please let me know if there are any obvious issues or any parts should use instead of these. Also, I'm using the 3070's retail price of $499 in my cost estimates because I'm going to wait until they are back to regular prices before buying (screw scalpers). Work well in photoshop (will chug with the new neural filters though) This computer is permanently running. OK so I have been running this config since 2013 and upgraded a "bit" along the way. Unfortunately it's starting to show its age in gaming and so I have been planning to upgrade. First thing that build is pretty much maxed out in term of possible upgrades. Now I'm confronted to multiple choices, I could get a ryzen 5 3600x + compatible mobo and 16gig for around 250$ cad. I could upgrade my current build with those but I'm not sure it's worth it performance wise. 2nd choice would be getting those + an ssd and psu and mount a second pc (using my spare case and the gtx 1060) for gaming only and keep my current build for my server oriented tasks (plex + file server + vm.. ). 3rd would be to keep my current build, upgrade the gpu to a 3060 or a Rx6600 and wait for new CPU and ddr5. 4th hold current build and replace cpu/mobo/ram/gpu all at once. I'm aiming for 60fps at high/mid settings. Your thought? Thank you!
  16. Hi. I need help -- never built a PC before. I'm planning to buy a Lian Li Lancool 215 case for a new PC. It will house the Gigabyte B450M DS3H Motherboard I got from my friend's old PC. The case I'm eyeing for includes a fan hub where the included aRGB fans are connected. I looked at the case's manual, and from what I understood, one of the wires of the hub must be plugged in to the mobo's aRGB header, which (I think) would be a problem because the mobo only has an RGB header, not an aRGB one. I'm probably misunderstanding something. Please let me know what I should do.
  17. Dear hivemind, I need your help in planning my next build. I am not actually looking for parts or such but more conceptual advice on how to set up my work-/gaming space. Tell me if there is a different space for such a thing. I am currently working with a gaming laptop (with Thunderbolt dock) and I am very unhappy with the performance the laptop has and constant overheating problems. So I want to switch back to using a Desktop (for Gaming) and Laptop (for work, uni, travel). But I want to be able to use both devices with my peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse etc) at the same desk. So I have a few ideas on how to fascilitate this and concerns with them. I was hoping that someone has been in a similar situation and can lend some advice. First idea: Thunderbolt 4 dock for all So both devices would share the same TB4 dock and I would just plug the dock into either the laptop or the desktop (possibly through extesion cable) Pros easy to use, simple to implement Cons Motherboards with TB4 are like twice as expensive (something like the ASUS ProArt X670E-Creator WIFI at 600€ for AM5, for AM4 it would be 450€) TB4 extensions cards are not much cheaper and appearently the drivers can be quite shitty I have heard that TB on Mainboards isn't often that great and using a dock isn't as smooth as with laptops (can someone confirm or deny that? Second idea: Monitors directly connected to PC and dock Similar to the first idea, but I connect the monitors to the dock and the desktop, so the PC would not need to use the dock to display on the monitors Question Can I still use a TB4 dock if the mainboard doesn't have TB? Will it just not connect or is it just a worse perfomance? Are there any good USB4 (not TB4) docks? When searching I could only find TB docks. Pros Dektop doesn't need the use the dock for the monitors, good if the TB on mainboards isn't really that great Cons Still needs TB4 on the mainboard? Third idea: Desktop somewhere else A different idea I had was to just have the Desktop somethere else and stream games over SteamLink or something like that to my laptop Questions How stable/viable are such game straming things? Are there game stream programs for any game, as I understood SteamLink only works with Steam games? Pros Don't have to worry about dock and TB4 for the Desktop Cons Streaming my games might be unstable and will increase input lag Can you tell me if you have any experience in such a setup, what you went for, how you handled it? Any other ideas on how to set up my space are welcome. Budget (including currency): 2000 - 2500€ Country: Austria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Laptop for Programming/Working/University, PC for Gaming (more CPU heavy games like EU4, MSFS, DCS and some (graphics heavy) VR gaming) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
  18. Hi everybody I have been watching LTT vids for just about two years now (so technically still a newbie) When they reviewed the DAN Case SFF I fell completely in love. Linus's pc build vids combined with Jay and Bitwit vids have made my inner buildsense tingle once again. My current PC was built in 2012 and I only upgraded RAM (added two additional sticks) and GPU (from GTX680 to GTX1070) in all that time. I has run like a dream but I'm beginning to feel its age It may become my NAS server in the future or a gaming rig for my missus Now to my build: Budget and location My budget is around $2,200 (15,000DKK). The location is Denmark Aim My goal is first of all to give myself a challenge to build a SFF PC Because I don't own a car and I like to travel, to my parents house where I can game with my bretheren or to my friends house and game LAN-style, I aim to make the build as portable as possible with as much power as possible. I am also a software developer so, some cpu performance that is not only taking gaming into context is essential. I want to use AMD btw I'm thinking Ryzen 5 3600x but let's see based on your guys feedback Also this is the carrot on the end of a stick for me since I aim to lose 15kg (~30pounds). This is my reward But of course the main use will be gaming! I would love to have a system that runs 1440p games at 120+ fps that is my goal. Monitors At the moment I have got a Optix MAG271C from MSI. This is a part that I will keep as my monitor until I can save up to buy an ultrawide panel that is good for 1440p gaming at a later point hence the aim above. I usually run two monitors. and I think I still will with an ultrawide. But the second monitor will then go from Horizontal to vertical positioning since reading code on a vertically aligned monitor is better imo. My current monitors are 144hz 1080p and a 60hz at 1080p for my secondary display. Peripherals I am quite content with my mechanical Razer stealth keyboard and Logitech MX Master for now My headphones are the Steelseries Arctis 7 - also very nice OS I can handle on my own Why are you upgrading? I want to build again. And I think an 8yr lifespan of my old PC is a fair point of upgrade Also as I have mentioned before, I'm using this as a carrot on a stick for myself and my weightloss. So there might elapse some time before I My current setup (as close I could get on pcpartpicker): PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler Corsair H60 (2018) 57.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler 768.00kr @ Alternate Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V LE ATX LGA1155 Motherboard Memory Corsair Vengeance LP 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Memory Corsair Vengeance LP 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Memory Corsair Vengeance LP 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Memory Corsair Vengeance LP 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Video Card Asus GeForce GTX 1070 8 GB Video Card Case NZXT H2 ATX Mid Tower Case Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total 768.00kr Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-15 13:56 CEST+0200 My suggested DAN build: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 3.8 GHz 6-Core Processor 2067.00kr @ CDON DK Thermal Compound Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut 1g 1 g Thermal Paste Motherboard Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard 2196.00kr @ CDON DK Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory 1420.00kr @ Alternate Storage Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive 1613.00kr @ Alternate Storage Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive 1613.00kr @ Alternate Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB Founders Edition Video Card Case DAN Cases A4-SFXv4 Mini ITX Desktop Case Power Supply Corsair SF 600 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total 8909.00kr Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-04-15 13:57 CEST+0200 So here comes my questions and notes: I havn't decided on the GPU yet. The one I put on the list is just my own sort of "guideline" So now I need your thoughts on my planned build. I also need some pointers to which cablemod cables I should use here. Because I don't want to use the provided cables, because all the build guides I have seen tells me that I could gain some clearance and space inside the case if I used custom length and thin cabling in there. And the next question. How much benefit is there between using the ASETEK 645LT AIO here versus the Noctua NH-L9i chromax black? It looks like that I will have a bit more space for the PSU cabling if I use the heatsink noctua cooler, but then again that is why I asked for cable mod cable advise earlier, because if I go with the AIO I would love to have as much room as possible for the fan not to get suck on the cabling. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your feedback on this one very excited, I am

Dunno if I could get away with cheaper GPU or if I should look at different CPU. I already have some parts like PSU, RAM, SSD and I have Windows 10. So those are not counted into the budget. I'm planning on buying from alza.sk (this online shop is EU based, delivers to many EU countries) CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (rn it sells for around 140€) Mobo: ASRock B450M F-4 (77€) GPU: Either Inno3D GeForce RTX 2060 Twin X2 (the ko model is not for sale anymore on the site I'm buying from) or XFX Radeon RX 5600 XT THICC II Pro 6G Both gpus are around the 285€ rn, will buy which one will be cheaper at the time of buying. But I would want the 2060 more so I hope it stays at that price and that it will still be available. Case: SilentiumPC Regnum RG6V TG Pure Black (60€) Also planning on getting a monitor within this budget too. I was looking at 21.5" Philips 223V7QHAB for 100€. Should be good enough for my needs rn. I'm planning on buying next month. Plus here are the things I already have that I mentioned. PSU: SilverStone Strider Essential 80Plus ST50F-ES230 500 W RAM: G.SKILL 16 GB KIT DDR4 3000 MHz CL16 Gaming series Aegis SSD: Kingston A400 240 GB 7 mm Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
  24. Hello Guys, I am planning to build a Small Form Factor PC, with the config below, but I am not finding a SFF case to go with it. I was wanting something like the Dan A4-SFX, but it is a very expensive case here in Germany. So I am looking for a case like the Dan A4, I was thinking the Cougar QBX but in size comparison, the QBX is much lager. If you have any tips or ideias please share with me, I will be happy to hear. 25. So me and my friend are contemplating a custom desk with some unique features and we need some help from the community with design and construction. Features: *glass top *integrated cable management *Both a PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2 boards will be installed (consoles will have cases removed if possible *a lighting theme over each board representing its color scheme (green of the Xbox, blue over the PlayStation and red over the PC *integrated power (one power and one data cable coming out of the bottom *removable back panel for maintenance of the wiring. *maybe liquid cool on the PC not sure yet *all cables will be sleeved the consoles will be used/out of warranty Questions: is it difficult to run the consoles out of their cases, can the disk drives be wired elsewhere or must they remain next to/on the main-board, what are the dimensions of the motherboards in the 2 consoles (not ready to break them open yet, but i will down the line (if its possible) what would be the best material to build the desk out of what type of lighting would work best to get a good defined glow over each system, cathode, led, etc should the top be Glass or acrylic what kind of monitor should i try to get? 3 monitors is the goal with the center one being the one that switches to the consoles Is this even possible? or should i scrap the idea? if so, why? any misc. suggestions as i try and get the design/budget together Ill be working in my CAD software to try and get some basic designs up
