So basically, I recovered a lot of files from an external HDD and now have around 250000 PNG files. And now the problem I am facing is that there are a lot of textures from Minecraft texture packs and Windows applications mix in because the recovery program didn't restore the folder structure. And now I am trying to find a tool to mass delete them when they have a certain size, e.g., 64x64 or 1024x1024. I'd prefer a Linux command line tool, but It's not so important. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone I've been thinking we should have a thread where we post pictures of our pets. I'll get us started off with some cute pics of my dogs.

Hi community, i need to crop thousands of images and will do it via photoshop automate batch feature, but since some of the images aren't in the same resolution, i can't batch them all. So what i can do is the organize the images based on their resolution and then do batch crop on all of em that has the same resolution. But sorting it out is a pain as i need to hover my mouse to see the resolution, so does anyone knows some kind of organizing software like TreeSize but can show the resolution of each image? that way it'll be easier for me to sort them later on. Thank you in advance.

Disclaimers: I'm still learning. I can be wrong. This is not financial or legal advice, just me explaining what I've learned thus far. YMMV, but I'm not responsible for anything this knowledge is used for. All numbers are arbitrary, but somewhat realistic examples. It's confusing. I know. Tis life. I tried my best to explain it accurately. Concise is not something I do unless forced. So I've been learning stock trading basics for a while (terms, patterns, concepts, etc.), and I've been practicing along the way. Unfortunately, my program that I use resets sometimes (randomly) so I can't keep a running total of money lost/earned in this practice. Here is a picture of the program: Currently, I've lost 17% of my (paper, fake, monopoly) money, but this is a long play and I expected something different to happen (the huge dip in the DJIA was unexpected and threw me off). I should start making money Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of next week on this setup. To kind of help you read the above image, the top left is my totals. They give you $200,000 of paper money to invest, but $100,000 is for one type of trading and the other $100,000 is for the other type of trading. So it's more like I have $100,000 since I only trade with one half of it. Net Liq & Day Trades is what I use, and I don't "do" Day Trading. Right now anyway. I'm keeping an eye on Abbott and Tesla for reasons. I didn't straight up buy stock in either company. I purchased a Put for Abbott and a Call for Tesla. This means I make money if Tesla goes up and if Abbott goes down. Unfortunately, the opposite happened, so I lost like 30%, but it's reversing now. The bottom row of charts is the Weekly charts for Abbott, Tesla, & the Dow Jones Industrial Average (average of the an entire market's performance, not THE market, but A market). The top row is the daily chart for those things. But yeah. Still learning. I was really bummed out that the program reset on me. I had doubled my money on a stock going up $1 by selling Puts (literally, I had $100,000 worth of Puts and after I sold them, I had $200,000+). It was very lucky that the stock moved so strongly, but I knew it would go up. Options are Calls & Puts (There may be more, but I've only learned about these). The easiest analogy I've found to understand them is thus: Calls are Coupons on a stock price. i.e. If I buy a call for TSLA (Tesla) at $250, I have a coupon giving me the right to buy TSLA's stock at $250, no matter what the price currently is. Puts are Price Guarantees on a stock price. i.e. If I buy a put for TSLA at $250, I have a price guarantee that I can sell TSLA's stock at $250, no matter what the price currently is. So Calls are for buying stock, and Puts are for selling stock. If you are wondering how they make money doing that, if I buy a Call for TSLA at $250, but their current Stock Price is $255.50, I will pay $5.50 per Call. Then I will pay $250 per share of stock. So they still get the full price, at the time I purchased the Call, of the stock. However, Calls & Puts can expire. Just like normal Coupons and Price Guarantees. If I buy either of them, but I never buy or sell the stock, I lost money, but not a lot of money (what is $5.50?) That's one way the companies themselves make money on Options. What a Call & Put give you is time. If you think a stock is going up, you can buy a Call (Coupon) to buy that stock at, say $250, but then wait until it hits $300 to buy it at $250. So you know for a fact you are going to profit. Or you can let the Call expire because the stock dropped to $200 and you were wrong about it going up. So buying it at $250 would be stupid as it's currently $200. Options are just that. Options. They buy you time to think about whether you want to buy/sell the stock or not. Just for reference, here is how you make money buying & selling options (Calls & Puts): Buy Calls = You make money if the stock goes up - Because you have a coupon that says you can buy the stock at $250, if the stock goes to $300, you buy it cheaper than it currently is, then sell it for a profit. Buy Puts = You make money if the stock goes down - Because you have a price guarantee that says you can sell the stock at $250, if the stock goes to $200, you can sell it for more than it currently is. Sell Calls = You make money if the stock goes down - I'm still trying to understand why and how this works. It's complicated because you are selling someone else or a company the right to sell stock to you at $250 or wtv. Sell Puts = You make money if the stock goes up - I'm still trying to understand why and how this works. It's complicated because you are selling someone else or a company the right to buy stock from you at $250 or wtv. What each scenario does is it basically decides how much money you can profit or lose in the trade. i.e. if I sell a Put, my maximum profit is capped at 100% (double my money), but my maximum loss is infinite (I lose all of my money). However, the reason you would want to sell a Put is because you sold something. You immediately get paid for it, but the amount is small. And it's very likely you will profit, and very unlikely you will lose all your money. These are the things to consider when doing a trade with options: Profit potential (i.e. max profit is 100%, infinite, or what-have-you) Loss Potential (i.e. 100% AKA infinite, or what-have-you) Probability of both of those happening (i.e. odds of profit vs odds of loss) Each of those choices above (Buy Calls, Buy Puts, Sell Calls & Sell Puts) have different values for how much you can earn/lose and what the odds of each thing happening are. That's generally what I've learned so far. This is just practice mode, I'll give an update when I move to real money mode.

Hello LTT forum I have a bit of a mountainous task ahead of me. I'm asking if there's a way to make if more efficient/organize. Because of the pandemic right now we been scrambling to create an online store for the school and office supply store my family owns. I been tasked to picture the items we have to put on the website we're making. I've been given an excel file of our inventory it contains around 8,000 items (I'm just picturing around thousand or two thousand items), is there a program where it can take an item's name from the excel sheet, then create a folder/file system where I could just drop the pictures I taken? or any alternative way that a program could pair an item name from the excel file to picture/s? Thanks for any points to the right direction

Gigabyte has revealed some of their X299 motherboards. At the top of the line, there is the Aorus Gaming 9, follow by Gaming 7, and Gaming 3. All run on socket 2066, for Intel KabyLake-X and Skylake-X 8x DIMMS for DDR4 ram 5 physical x16 slots, all LED illuminated and steel plated, except for Gaming 3 Triple M.2 slots with heatsinks on Gaming 9, only 1 with heatsink on Gaming 7 and dual M.2 slots on Gaming 3 with no heatsinks CMOS battery is place in the path of the M.2. Not sure if heat will cause any issue to it, when a M.2 drive is directly on top of it. 24-pin power + dual 8-pins on Gaming 9 and Gaming 7. 24-pin + single 8-pin for Gaming 3 8 SATA ports, less than what X99 had offered LED debug code only on Gaming 9 and Gaming 7, none on Gaming 3 Built in switches, most likely for power and reset. Additional ones on Gaming 9 and Gaming 7. And a single switch above the front panel header, next to a motherboard mounting hole on Gaming 9 and Gaming 7 Almost similar I/O ports across all boards, dual lan and wifi on Gaming 9 and Gaming 7. Isolated power USB on Gaming 7. Gaming 9 probably has it too, can't tell due to the built in LED I/O plate LED illuminated points on various parts of the board with support for 16.8 million colors https://videocardz.com/newz/gigabyte-x299-aorus-gaming-9-7-and-3-pictured

Hi, everyone! I'm looking into buying a Camera for reviewing hardware and else. So it needs to take good pictures/videos. My price situation is a bit vague I must admit because I don't know a whole bunch about cameras... So the price point I'm targeting is below a 1000$ MSRP if possible. (I have access to employee pricing in a store where they sell cameras so i won't actually pay a 1000$ i don't have that budget) (If something is over that price but would change my life just send it ) I'm looking into DSLR or Mirrorless. Basically, i just want a good camera that will do the trick for tech reviews and general use. I'm looking for a camera that got a really nice price to performance ratio that I will be able to keep on the long run Thank you all in advance!

Any analog photographers out here? If I saw right, theres no thread for all the good analog stuff, so time to create a post everything analog related thread. My gear consits at the moment of a Canon EOS 5000 with the 38-76mm Kit, a Porst Reflex TL and a Voigtländer Vitoret D. I had a Minolta X-700 too, but thats now in the hands of my ex girlfriend. I need to get one again, perfect camera and beatiful pictures. I cant imagine of something better at the moment. I digitalise my pictures with a Canon 9000F Mark II scanner, right now only prints from the photo shop, direct film is still to be tried.

Hi, i know a guy who makes cups, pillows and other stuff based on anime and videogames characters, i've been wanting to get a full body pillow of some female characters for some time and i thought about asking this guy to print them for me, the thing is, i can't find any decent designs (detailed and good resolution) of any of the ones i'm interested on that could be used for this porpouse, and in some cases there's no material i could possibly print on a pillow, i've googled a lot and still haven't found anything worth printing, so i created this post not only to ask your help but also, if someone's looking for a certain design to print a pillow, cup or anything else, feel free to ask for it here ^_^, the characters i'm interested on are: LoL: Elise (preferably blood moon skin). Fiora LeBlanc Miss Fortune Sona (valentine skin) Monster Musume: Rachnera Girls und Panzer: Nonna Tasogare otome X Amnesia: Yuuko Kanoe I'm not gonna use them for pervyy stuff, neither do i want full naked models, i just want something that looks sexy, but nothing gross, i'll leave nidalee's design as an example, thanks in advance:

so i got this when i was uploading stuff for the old computer parts thread yesterday, its a harmless visual glitch but it looks kinda funky: i have never seen it before, but the spaceing is all glitched out and it just got worse as i added more pictures untill i ended up with what you see above. i havent tried to replicate it but here is what happaned: i uploaded all the pictures something freaked out with chrome and i pressed back going back to the forum page i thought but i went back to the general discussion menue went back into the thread and saw that the first two pictures were still uploaded uploaded "DSC_0039.PNG" started to upload the rest, dragging them in in batches of three first batch was fine glitched out with the second batch and third batch everything ended up looking just fine, and it was still functional so its efectively harmless but a bit funny still and should probably be taken a look at if it can be replicated

Update 18.07.17 Eurogamer reports that the console will be launched as part of a crowdfunding campaign. Source: https://www.theverge.com/2017/7/17/15980990/atari-ataribox-specs-pictures No actual specs yet beyond being clad in wood and it's external io. In terms of games the console looks to be able to emulate old titles as well as current ones. Unfortunately this sounds to me like an Android based system rather than a bespoke console. As the article states I hope this isn't the case and that Atari actually developed a standalone system. The physical size of the console gives me some hope though. If it turns out to be an android based box at that size I'd expect something like the X1 or next gen tegra.

Looking for 27 inch IPS in the USD $500-$600 area. Don't care about Hz since i have a dedicated monitor for gaming. Can't go higher in inches due to space on my desk. 4K is not a must but will love if I could get it, I'm fine with 2k though. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Hey guys, as you can already take from the title I would like to compress JPG and PNG pictures extremely into sizes below 0.02 MB. I wonder how to do so from sizes like 1 MB. All those "compress jpg" websites can't do that effectively. Thanks in advance.

I have a home server that I would like to use to store photos from iphone devices and I would like to be able to transfer photos from devices easily. I was thinking setting up FTP would work, but I wanted to see what other options there were available.

For Context, I'm a St. Louisan who had never left the state of Missouri. For my first ever out-of-state trip, I decided to take a weekend in Vancouver (to attend LTX). Here's my account of the expo. And the most memorable picture of all I was super psyched about getting to meet Barnacules, and I'm a big Taran fan as well

Hello there! I have some old broken JPEG pictures that I'm trying to recover. I have tried everything from switching file type to using programs. It might be that the picture is in too high resolution. (When you open the pic for the first time its show it for 0.5 a sec in poor quality before getting like this with a better resolution. I would really appreciate any kind of help! Thanks in advance!
