Hi I have a Philips 346P1CRH/00 monitor that should be AdaptiveSync compatible according to shops and philips.com. It is attached via a DP 1.4 cable (albeit a 10m /30ft long one). Adrenaline lists FreeSync as incompatible and I was wondering if the cable might just be too long or if there are picture options like HDR that might automatically invalidate FreeSync? I already called Philips support but not only was I called rude for disagreeing with their statement that the monitor did not support FreeSync, they claim AdaptiveSync is a different technology altogether. I'm pretty sure that's false but frankly, lately I feel like I'm getting old (or getting gaslighted, who knows these days) so I thought I'd check with you guys what my options were. I just noticed in the manual that there should be an option to activate or deactivate AdaptiveSync but it just isn't there... The Manual lists compatible GPUs but they're all from the R9. Is there something in the standard that might prevent more modern cards to communicate with this monitor? Is the monitors implementation too old or something?

So, today my X2's arrived from amazon. I got a "very good" used pair and I don't regret I did. They first of all are in great condition, they look new and most importantly feel new. I am gonna go through what I think about these and compare them to my older daily driver, my 990 pros. This review is my first really "review" ever of headphones so don't expect much. It is not as in depth as others. Let me start off this review with build quality and packaging. I was wowed to see these in person because I didn't think the build quality was this impressive as they really and clearly are. They are as sturdy as my computer case haha. Anyways. The unboxing was alright although having bought a used pair. Back to the build quality. The top headband piece is a kind of metal type pair of tubes. They rotate sideways on the head by bending the actual headband which is fine since they are sturdy. The earcups feel like metal as well but they are hard plastic. The earpads are really good, probably not something I'll need to replace in like 2 years. I've seen dekoni released a replacement ear pad for both the X2's and X3's which is great. Cable is good, makes some noise when touched but that wont matter when I actually listen to music or play games. It's not like I rub the cable all the time. Build, 9/10 unboxing, 6/10 The comfort: Putting these on at first, they are really comfortable, just not extremely since they are just opened and tested right out of the box not giving them time to adjust to my head shape yet. But the dense memory foam ear pads with the nice self-adjusting hammock there is nothing bad to say about these. The weight of these is barely noticeable with the comfort of the ear pads and the hammock. But it does put a little bit of strain on my neck muscels since my 990's weigh like 100 grams less which makes me rate the comfort at 8 instead of 9 or 10. But this will definitely change over time due to me getting used to the X2's. Edit: Comfort has gotten much, much better just after a couple of hours. Comfort, 7/10 The sound: Reviewers such as Zeos, him saying these are worth the full price of 300 dollars as they were if I understood correctly, they definitely are. The sound of these compared to my 990's is very smooth. No more piercing treble. Although both shine in different categories. I found these to have more refined bass. Maybe these sound like that since they are almost brand new and not used over a year like my DT 990's were. The bass is tight and EQ friendly if I'd like more bassy explosions in for example battlefield. The treble is still pretty detailed and these give much more of the mid range compared to the 990's. The sound stage is hard to explain. But it feels very open. These also leak a lot and I can hear my own voice with a less muffle filter over it compared to the 990's. Maybe I am so used to my 990's since the sound signature and sound stage is so drastically different. I love the sound stage tho. Tested with CS:GO where I had to put these into competitive use. I got instantly better with the positional accuracy with its imaging. Peoples ears are different but I can locate footsteps as good or even better. The only disadvantage is the treble and footsteps not being as pronounced as they were on the 990's. But giving these a bit more boost in the treble and higher midrange and lowering the bass will definitely help hearing them. Seen some people described these to be a kind of "bass-head open back headphone", not at all as I'd describe them. These have less bass than my 990's but tighter. Kinda makes me feel like the 990's are sloppy in the mid-bass region. These do have less extended sub-bass but still great. Paired with my AE-9 I can definitely tell a difference between onboard and my AE-9. Less difference than my 990's tho. Take my rating with a pinch of salt since I haven't tried higher end headphones over 300 dollars but when I do, I'll definitely see what I'll change my rating to. Sound, 8/10 Final overall rating: 7,5 I hope this review wasn't too shabby and that it might be interesting and helpful!

Hello everyone, I am looking for good headphones for gaming, mostly fps but also some gta online, and MMORPGs like Star wars the old republic and a big range of games. I already have a vmoda boom pro mic. I was thinking about the Philips shp 9600 and the sennheiser HD 558 (I know i would need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, found one that would work) my current headset is a sennheiser pc37x for reference which I really like. I have the upgrade itch but if I don't find anything ill just stick with the pc37x for now. Any suggestions?

I'm curious if someone heard about this. I got a Philips android tv (PUS7906). Works as is should except one thing: the remote only wants to work when the tv is on, meaning that I can't turn it on. It works between 100 clicks, buttons not stuck cuz like I wrote, only when tv is off.

HI, want to ask question about two 4K TVs which we have in office, our boss want them to be connected together, making it run like 1x2 video wall. I found so many video wall controllers and switches but none of them worked like we wanted. I totally understand that 7680x2160 resolution may not even be supported by devices we want to connect to them (Apple TV 4K, Chromebox, Windows PC), I just wonder if somebody have ever tried to do something like that, or if I think about this problem incorrectly. Only solution I can think of is let those TVs downscale into FHD resolution and buy some 4K video controller. Any advice appreciated.

So, my old monitor broke so I'm shopping for a new monitor. I came across this Philips 242E1GSJ monitor. It has a high color accuracy than the Samsung and 1ms. I'm on a tight budget and I don't think i will be able to change another monitor soon. In general. The other alternative I'm considering is a Samsung LF24T350FHEXXM. I'm just worried that Philips monitor's are not reliable and will have a short lifespan. Any suggestions ? FYI im just rocking a gtx1050 so im not sure will i take full advantage of the 144gz monitor

Region: Germany ( but EU is also ok ) budget: 60-80€ I‘m looking for a headset that can also be used as normal headphones without a mic. originally I wanted to use the Philips SHP9500 ( S ) with a V Moda Boom Pro. The problem is that the SHP 9500 are not available in my region so I searched for an alternative with roughly the same price and found the Sennheiser HD 559. so Are they a good Alternative for the Price? thanks

Anyone have any insight on how long these headphones tend to be out of stock. I've heard they're great so really want to get them as first set of proper headphones. The X3 are being released soon but at a much higher price, so hoping they aren't discontinuing the X2HR straight away.

Hi guys! I am looking to buy a good gaming headphones or headsets for gaming (mainly FPS) and I was about to buy the Sennheiser Game One. However, after days of research I found in several youtube channels and webpages about the Philips SHP9500 + V-Moda Bommpro Mic combo. So I want to hear your suggestions. In addition to gaming, I will use the headphones or Headsets to listen to music and rarely watch movies. I will powered the headsets with an Astro Mixamp Pro TR. Appreciate your responses and advise.

Hi. I'm looking for an dac/amp(a two in one) for my pc to replace the onboard soundcard atm. This is cause of the low levels of volume on my pc when i'm using the fidelio's. I've been looking for the cheapest decent solution, and i found either the Asus Xonar DG, or the DGX, since they're both very cheap, and supposedly should provide me with more power, and therefore higher volume levels. If anyone has another suggestion, or knows that i'm gonna be making a huge mistake, i'd love some advice. Thanks.

Good evening, everyone! I'll be buying a 43" 4K SmartTV within the next week and as such, I've been doing some research to make sure I get the best product within my budget, which is 500€ ($596). From all the televisions available to me, the two that stood out the most were the Philips 43PUS6162 and the LG 43UJ630V. Here's the reasons why: - Both are 4K, obviously - Both carry HDR technology - Both carry IPS displays - Both bring 3x HDMI/2x USB slots - Both run at 60Hz Now the reasons why I'm indecisive are: - While both carry HDR, LG's the standard HDR10 whereas Philips' is HDR10+. I did some research on both and it appeared to me that HDR10+ is the better one as it was created to rival Dolby Vision. I would however appreciate some input on this so I can know for sure what this technology consists of and if it is worth it. - The LG includes 4K Upscaling, whereas the Philips does not. However, as mentioned above, Philips brings HDR10+ and LG brings HDR10. Is it a worthy tradeoff? Is it a noticeable and good-looking difference? I tried watching some YouTube videos showing it off but it's not very perceptible. - According to my research, the Philips audio system supports Clear Sound, whereas the LG supports Ultra Surround. Is there much of a difference? Is it noticeable? - While being a minor thing, the Philips seems to support a wide variety of image formats, including PNG and GIF, where as the LG only supports JPEG, MPO and JPS. Does this mean there is no way whatsoever to open, say, PNG files on the LG? Can it become annoying in some situations? - Finally, the operative system. The Philips seems to be running AndroidTV, the LG runs WebOS 3.5. I did some research on both and realized AndroidTV is alot more future proof and focuses a bit more on gaming and a few other interesting apps by giving you access to Google Play. The fact that you can also connect your Smartphone to the TV to stream videos and music from, is also a pretty appealing idea. It seems to have a collection of 4K movies ready to watch too. The only downside is that the interface covers the whole screen, hiding whatever is playing on TV at that moment, which isn't the biggest deal to me. The WebOS 3.5 seems to have a very user-friendly and fast interface that doesn't cover the whole screen and thus not hiding the content. It appeared to have some games too but I got the impression it doesn't focus on that side as much as AndroidTV. It also seems to have a nice collection of 4K movies ready to watch and some interesting settings. However, it felt like it didn't include some of the interesting features AndroidTV offers. This is one of the websites I used to compare the two: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/1cb31d827 Here are a few more details about the two TVs (included in the link above) With that said, at the moment, I'm more inclined towards getting the Philips TV but I still want to make sure I'm well informed before proceeding with the purchase. The price of both TVs isn't a hindrance seeing as they're just 10€ apart, making the aforementioned points my only concern. Thank you for your time!

So my tv got hit with a power surge and I had to get a new board. Put it in and now I have these things at the top of my screen and are evenly spaced out. What are they? Can I get rid of them? The display is a Philips LCD 42PFL3603D/F7, and the board I got to replace it both had the same pcb number and model (PLHL-T721A). The original was newer though.
