not sure if this is a big deal or if someone already posted it under a different thread but anyways here's what I found let me know if you guys think this is legit and or real thanks. https://www.extremetech.com/computing/257044-intel-will-no-longer-provide-per-core-turbo-frequencies-making-motherboard-tuning-impossible summary i guess the general idea here is that intel is trying to not give specifics on the per core clock speeds and motherboards don't always do a great job of per clock boosting and at the end of the day its gonna fall on the community to gather the numbers to find out what works and what doesn't but intel could have just released the numbers from there benchmarks/testing I guess to make this easier. personal opinion i just think that since I've been a fan of AMD CPUs for most of my life that I'm not really worried about it and at the end of the day even if this 8th gen core i5 8400 is better value then a ryzen for performance and I'm still gonna go ryzen out of respect for and not worry about the issues Intel has or doesn't have. *Note; The title is a quote from ARikozuM thanks for pointing things out I don't really want to write all this I simply wanted to share news article I have no interest in writing this much but seems to share it I had to anyways if this isn't good enough then I'll just delete it and leave it thanks.

Hey all, I decided to play through FarCary 4 again as it is such a great game and I was craving this kind of gameplay. My problem is, is the game will drop to 36 FPS fairly often (exactly half of my 72 FPS limiter) and I am not sure why. I do not see how to de-limit the frames in game, so I keep it at the max, 72. Specs: Cpu: Ryzen 3 2200g oc'ed to 3.85 Gpu: Gtx 1060 6gb slightly oc'ed Ram: 8gb ddr4 3000mhz I have played with gsync settings and tripple buffering and no combination seems to change this. I find it pretty suspicious that it cuts my max frames In half and stays there for a while when it decides to. I feel that this happens after a mission has been completed and I get some ui interfering, but it then lingers and I cannot figure out why. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Ages ago i bought a G15 logitech keyboard and G9 logitech mouse for a computer i bought when i was younger to game with friends, when wow was taking off. The keyboard and mouse have fought a good battle. Specifically the mouse (Logitech G9). All my accessories have been Logitech. Fan boy a little here. Recently bought a logitech gaming headset the G230. Not disappointed but not blown away. so my faith in logitech as been constant not to mention the surround sound I've been rocking for ages from them... ok enough about logitech. I need a new keyboard. Out of all the logitech toys i have ... gotta say the G15 keyboard needs replacement. Since purchase ages ago I've come sorta aware of what i have and whats best (thanks Linus). Over the years this boy fought the good fight, i have completely dissembled the keyboard and cleaned it numerous times. you know sometimes with accidents you really have to. To the point i built my first PC (budget) a couple months ago. Build as follows: - BenQ XL2411 (monitor) - Case fractal Design R4 - MSI 970 Motherboard - G.Skill Ripjaws 4GBx4 (DDR3 1866) - AMD FX-8320 Vishera 8-core 3.5GHz (4.0 GHx Turbo) - MSI R9 380 4GB - Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - Kingston V300 120GB - Corsair CX series CX500 500 watt Built this PC for bang for buck. The Sticky/Broken G15 needs replacement. This is why I'm looking for help. Peripherals i just grad a brand I trust and go (usually). with keyboards i need a little help. I want to move to a mechanical keyboard. I hear alot of Cherry MX swithches? lets face it. No idea whats going on hear. If a mechanical keyboard can improve response and remove spongy unresponsive keys thats a win. Very much Appreciatte anyhelp.

Hello last weeks live stream had the topic of better graphics versus better performance on the ps4 and Xbox one and with the responses been mixed I believe I have a solution to make everyone happy. You may remember a game called Halo Combat Evolved launching on the original Xbox in 2001 and 10 years later in 2011 a remake was produced for the Xbox 360 in 2011 known as Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. Anniversary is the only game (that I know about) that runs two engines the original Halo Combat Evolved Engine and the Halo Reach engine and you had the ability to switch between the two with a click of a button. If this feature was to be included in next gen console games the entire gaming community could be satisfied either if they want to play at 30fps or 60fps. A current gen example would be if you could switch between Call of Duty Black Ops 2's engine clocked at 60fps compare to Battlefield 3's Frostbite engine clocked at 30fps. Hello! My big problem is with my new laptop. The first I got it, it had only dos system in it. Then my father took it to an computer "pro" and he installed windows 8.1 Pro, then put all the drivers on, but then I noticed, there was something wrong with the video card driver. My video card is Nvidia GeForce, but he installed Intel Graphics 4600.. I tought: "Fine, let it be." All my games ran fine. League of Legends with maximum graphics 100 fps. But then I tried to play Battlefield 3. First off, it said, that I don't have the right driver on my video card. Then I installed the right driver on my laptop from internet. Battlefield 3 ran, but with low fps and League was on 30 fps . I'll tell you all my specs too: Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i5-4200M Processor (3 MB Cache, 2.5 GHz , 2 core, Haswell) Ram: 4,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz Motherboard: LENOVO VIUU4 (U3E1) Graphics: 2048MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M Storage: 931GB Seagate ST1000LM014-SSHD-8GB (SATA) Thanks for helping, who can!

Hello, so as a fellow youtuber with almost 200 subs (WOOHOO!!!) (just kidding) I need to record gameplay footage from time to time and I noticed frame inconsistencies while recording. I still get 120+ FPS, even while recording, but there is a noticeable stuttering, that makes all games hardly playable for me, especially competitive grade ones like Counterstike. The hardware is not the problem in the meaning of being not powerful enough (i7 3770k @4.6GHz, 16GB 1600MHz Ram, GTX 780, 4TB RAID 0 array for recording (300 MB/s write). As I am using a korean monitor overclocked to 110 Hz, I thought that might be the problem, but even clocked at a normal 60Hz and even with other monitors, obviously, it was less noticeable, as the shown FPS decreased, but the problem persists. I also tried different recording programs. Apart from the my usual Dxtory, I tried Fraps, Camtasia and Bandicam (captured/shown frames not synced in any application). Problem still persists. So then Linus and PC-Per with all their "framerating" "story" came into my mind and I wondered whether that might be the problem. I had 2 7970s a few month ago and it was worse back then, even whine not recording, but I would go as far as to say, that it was the same way/kind of stuttering that I have now. Unfortunately I dont have a THOUSAND GB of RAID 0 ssd to record raw data with a capture card and measure out the frames exactly, so I tried to record the monitor with my S4 (60 FPS camera). As this limits the amount of "data" of stuttering being noticeable while watching, I tried reinforcing the stuttering by using slow motion and upsampling it to 4k to get the better codec on youtube. It is only barely noticeable in the video, but it is there. I guess it is almost impossible to show a problem at 110 FPS with all 30FPS video and 60Hz monitor standards to a human eye, but I tried. I think its kind of sad, that we have almost never been utilizing the capability of your eyes while playing games for such a long time and we did not even know of these problems ... :( Does anyone of you have similar problems/experiences ? Do you just ignore it or not even notice ? Is there any software/drivers fix for that or does nobody even care about this problem ?
