Hi Guys, I have a problem with my GPU's temperature when playing heavy games. When i play The Witcher 3 The GPU's load is over 90% and the fan was spinning about 2200RPM and here's the problem: The GPU fan's airflow direction is toward the glass side panel (PC Case) and when it is closed the GPU's temp is very high (around 79-82C), i tried to touch the glass side panel from the outside where the airflow direction blew to and it's hot only at that part of the glass side, the rest of the glass side is normal, it's just hot where the GPU's airflow direction blew to. and when i play game with the glass side panel opened, the GPU's temp is like 10C lower (68-70C) So, should i open it when i play heavy games ? i know 79C-82C when it's full loaded still ok but of course who doesn't want it to be cooler right ? Sorry for my bad grammar and Thanks for your attention

What are these fan headers (please see attached) i opened my case for the seasonal dust cleaning and i noticed my front fans were all daisy chained to each other with these to the psu. no wonder the mobo didnt detect them. And they dont fit into the mobo Cha_Fan headers!! Pls advice. Even if some splitters are the solution but again i have no idea what these headers are.

The M6 Computer - portable mini workstation desk The name is derived from the Star Trek: TOS episode 'The Ultimate Computer'. When Captain Kirk outwitted The "evil" M5 computer? My computer design is one better. It's a M6. I started by designing a case mod of the M5 from the TV prop, then the design evolved into this. My design fills the need between a gaming laptop and a desktop setup with a desk and all that entails. Use Case: someone who wants a full gaming PC but doesn't have room to devote to it or space for a desk. The M6 Computer can be rolled out to use, and wheeled away when idle. The entire desk PC case can be made with a single sheet of 4' x 8' x 5/8" (1219mm x 2438mm x 9.8mm) plywood. Plus drawer slides, Misc. Metal hardware and PC hardware. The PC hardware should have plenty of room for a low profile mITX or mATX system case. My intent was to have the bottom, sides, front of the case milled from smoked plexiglass. Or the front and bottom are a single sheet of bent plexiglass and it serves as a removable motherboard tray. The PC components would be centrally located and 2.1 sound system could easily be integrated into the desk PC case design (as indicated by grilles in the exploded view). Subwoofer and Audio amp on one side and SFX PSU on the other. M6-PC-desk.pdf A 3D model of a variation to be molded from recycled plastic. - I made the model look like an 1890's Art Nouveau steam radiator - The Exploded view shows the Plywood version. In the M6 Computer desk PC, the Motherboard case (gray glass) hangs from the underside of the Red desktop / Monitor stand. Notches and tabs key the side to the top panel. The Blue desktop / Keyboard / Mouse tray can be rolled out on drawer sliders and rolled back when not in use. There are tabs on the keyboard tray that fit into slots on the the sides to guide the sliding lower desktop. Support is provided from the drawer rails. It is integral to the Industrial Design Intent: There must be a generous gap between the underside of the case and the top of the keyboard tray to allow the keyboard and mouse to be slid under the upper desktop and PC. Similar to how the Commodore AMIGA 1000 hid it's keyboard. The rear of the desk needs steel K-bracing for stability. The sides are designed so the front feet are on stationary feet while the rear are on wheels. Once a user is done with the mini workstation, the keyboard tray can be slid back, and then the entire table can be lifted by the front and rolled back out of the way. Should Linus and his team of engineers build it?

Click here to VIEW and DOWNLOAD SketchUp project Click here to download .stl file Some specs: Not interested in beautiful fancy pc cases; don't care about aesthetics and leds; 500mm x 500mm x 250mm (about 19.70" x 19.70" x 9.85"); Motherboard 90° rotated (I/O on the top - I know, there will be many cables out there); 2x Silverstone AP181 front intake, 2x Cooler Master Megaflow 200 rear exhaust; Components will be pretty old: i7 2600k, Noctua NH-D15, GTX 1060, Corsair AX750 and so on... It will be compatible with many future components; Black panels on top, bottom and both sides; front will have metal mesh and dust filter; rear will have only metal mesh; About 40mm (1.6") for cable management behind mobo; I will screw in some plastic feets to rise the case from the floor; There'll be place for HDDs and SSDs There'll be holes on the top where the cpu cooler's fan will blow; I already bought some polypropylene black panels 1mm and some aluminium angle profiles. I think I'll spend about 100€ for this case. After cutting the materials, here some steps I'll follow to bring it together: I think getting here is pretty straightforward... I'll make the holes for the I/O shield and PCI cards on the top panel; Then, I'll mount the mobo on its support; At this time, I should be able to put it into the case and then finish with the missing components; A little detail: I'll use 3 screws and bolts for every corner on the aluminium frame I'm sure I forgot something... I'll update this post Please, let me know what do you think about this project. If you have any questions or suggestions, I'll be glad to read them. Thank you for your help and have a nice day! Luca ----------------------- I bought: From local storage: Aluminium angle profile - 16mm x 1mm x 520cm - 8€ Aluminium flat profile - 15mm x 2mm x 260cm - 4€ Polypropylene black panels - 100cm x 100cm x 1mm - 9.10€ => WON'T USE THEM!!! TOT +shipping: 25€ From Amazon: Stainless steel galvanized and painted (ral 7016) - about 30€ => WON'T USE THEM: I got some steel panels from a friend for free From Aliexpress: Power button Fan anti vibration mounting Magnet tape Nylon door handle Motherboard risers and screws Dust filter 20x steel corner 30mm 100x M3 5mm black screws 100x M3 thin nut TOT +shipping: 28.07€ From other online shops: 2x Silverstone AP181 - 2x130.30€ => TOT +shipping: 31.50€ I'll recycle 200mm CM fan from my case; also I think I'll got HDD and SDD mouting kit from my case. -----------------------

Hi I have this PC Case from AeroCool <<< which has some interesting connectors for the fans which are led. My motherboard is an MSIB450 <<< Which does not allow me to connect the fans. I have another video <<< if you watch at 0:15 you can see the cable labelled 4 pin fan connector is a male and not female like a normal fans usually are. How can I connect this cable to my motherboard? many thanks!

This one of the first cases I have personally bought from the cheaper end for pricing and it did not disappoint at all! The airflow is amazing, design and build structure are on par with the big names in my opinion. Materials used in the construction are beyond adequate and it tells me they are turning out quality for reasonable pricing! If you want more info on the this case go to https://www.montechpc.com/en/products_detail.php?nid=23&s_ok2=. They have 2 color options with 2 style options, The first is white with either a solid front face or mesh front face and the second is black with either a solid front face or mesh front face. It is a gorgeous case and if built right, a beautiful pc and conversation starter.

So i already have a gaming rig i built a few months ago which at the time i thought a 500gb ssd m.2 would be enough but i soon found out how easy its filled up considering most games take up 50-80gb these days (jesus). So my question is i really like to get as much storage as possible and ofcourse that means a hard disk but 2 problems: 1) im wondering how much sound do HDDs these days produce, will it be noticable while gaming or just in general? My pc isnt a silent build so you can hear the fans but id say its pretty quiet when not under load (30-35db). so im wondering if a hdd makes a lot of noise, also does a 7200rpm one produce more sound than a 5400rpm? 2) second problem is kind of my fault and dumb but when they were building my pc the removed the little metal slot where my hdd supposed to be sloted just so they can route the cables in the case, after that i have no idea where it went, im pretty sure they have it but they say otherwise. Regardless can i just leave my hdd inside and not worry? Or can i just tie it with some wire or something. Other than that i wondered if maybe a 500gb sata ssd is worth it more in my case or should i just go with a 2tb hdd, i really dont want to have extra sounds that i dont want but i still want storage arghhh. Opinions??

Hi, im new to linustechtips, have a good day Sorry for my bad english, i know a bit, but it isn´t my native language First, i have a "good" pc as i can guess, but i need help to upgrade 4 components All help is really appreciated Specs: Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB 8GB Ram Intel core i3 2105 3.1 Ghz (yeah, i know its very old, that´s why i want to upgrade!) LG 1920 * 1080 60Hz monitor Some random case i had in my house (DELL) A generic Pixxo Jaguar 600W Power Supply Components i want to upgrade: CASE: I dont really care about the case, but it definitely is an option, i need a 70 $ (US Dollar) pc gaming case, it needs to have dust filters, and have fans at the front and an exhaust, they dont need to be - RGB or LED, but if it has, even better. Processor: Just look at that old Sandy bridge core i3, i need an i5, but i dont know wich, pls help : ( it needs to be a maximum of 200 US Dollars, and preferly to be a haswell generation processor, and it can also be an amd fx Motherboard, preferly Micro-ATX, at least 2 Memory ports and that is durable, and good. Power Supply: i need a good power supply that has to be at least 80+ BRONZE, with a limit of 80 US Dollars, can be 600W, 700W. That´s all i need to upgrade, i will upgrade to a 1060 on half-year All help is rrreally appreciated

So I'm in the process of buying parts to build a PC used mostly for (1440p I think) gaming. I have already bought an AMD Ryzen 5 2600x, an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC, 16gb 3200mhz ram, and a 1tb ssd (and the peripherals). I would like the power supply to be modular, but I'm sort of budget oriented, and I'm not sure what to choose. Same for the case. I know it has to be ATX, and the smaller the better, but it can't be too small either.... and still sort of budget oriented. Something in the 85-135 range hopefully. OH and I want to buy 120mm case fans if that helps anything. Please help?

I am looking for a case with good aesthetics and airflow (which looks similar to the nzxt h510) and a minimalist look for around $70-80. Any suggestions?

Hi Guys, I've been following Linus's channel for a long long time, even though I couldn't buy new hardware I still liked watching. Some time ago my GPU died (GTX570) along with my 24" monitor so I ended up using Intel HD graphics on my i7 2700k and using some old TFT via DSUB. After 4 months, I've finally got some cash on me and I've decided to buy Gigabyte GTX770-OC and DELL U2312HM. My current setup: Intel Core i7 2700KASRock Z68 Extreme 4 Gen 3Kingston HyperX 16GBIntel SSD 240GB Series 520 / 1 TB WD Green / 640 GB WD Black / 320 GB WDLiteOn DVD-RWSeasonic 850WChieftec Matrix TXViewSonic VA2216w I'm looking to transfer my current setup and new GPU into a new computer case. The only thing that I'm interested in at this point is to silent my computer as much as possible. Cases that are avaliable to me: Cooler Master Cosmos SE NZXT Source 530 Black Cooler Master Silencio 652S Fractal Design Define R4 Titanium Grey Window Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl NZXT H440 Black/Orange Thermaltake Urban S71 Black Cooler Master Storm Trooper I can purchase any of them, I just need to know which one is the quietest.
