I've been asking this same question on multiple platforms and haven't got a clear answer and this my last attempt. I built this pc to run games at 4k 60fps with high settings. Also built it for VR as well. My pc runs terrible with most games with lagging when loading new scenes and random fps drops. I was told it's my CPU, then was told it's my graphic card and I'm just confused. Hopefully someone can tell me what part needs to be upgraded. My Specs: Processor: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700F 2.50GHz Ram: 64gb DDR4 Clocked At 3600ghz Graphic: AMD Radeon 7800xt (Ver. 24.3.1) Storage: 2.5tb SSD OS: Windows 11 Pro (Ver. 23H2)

i've put all my parts in a pc part picker list down below, i currently already own the gpu and power supply. the only part i would prefer to not swap is the case (its pricey, yes, but it looks so damn good) my list planning on mostly using it for 1440p/5120x1440 (super ultrawide) gaming, and 1440p video editing. as a whole i'd like to stay around the $1500 price range. Budget (including currency): $1500 Country: U.S Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: davinci resolve, higher end singleplayer games

✮ Budget: £2000 - £3500 ✮ Location: UK Based ✮ Use (gaming, rendering, etc): Gaming, Music Production and Graphic Design ✮ Peripherals required (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc): 27 inch monitor thx ✮ Would love it to have RGB as much as possible but also working very smoothly for everything!! Hey you lot, I am thinking about this pc build that I put together I just would like to know if you think all these parts will work together and smoothly with what I request it for as a Graphic Designer and Gamer. First to start with my main job is as a graphic designer so an Ideal setup where my PC can run smoothly with Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro etc would be so so so ideal Secondly, I love playing video games such as GTA RP, Red Dead Redemption and other high end games that need to go the extra mile without making the PC go into overdrive and having to work a-lot more power than it should do as I wouldn't want to have to replace any parts right away if there is any issues... CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5 GHz 16-Core Processor CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 A-RGB 48.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte X670 GAMING X AX V2 ATX AM5 Motherboard Memory: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory Storage: KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G3 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE V2 GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB Video Card Case: Deepcool CH510 MESH DIGITAL ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM1000e (2023) 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home Retail - Download 64-bit Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 PST A-RGB 0dB 48.8 CFM 120 mm Fan Case Fan: ARCTIC P12 PST A-RGB 0dB 48.8 CFM 120 mm Fans 3-Pack Lastly, It would be so ideal for some recommendations of some 27inch monitors (can upload just one link) as I would love to have a triple setup where I can have my productivity on two screens and one for discord or something. I already have in mind what speakers, mouse, keyboard, audio interface etc sorted so I would just need the PC itself as I have already bought the other peripherals for it. P.S. I would need a-lot of storage and if the PC was RGB illuminated as I want it to look nice too lol

I'm stuck on which GPU after returning to build my 1st PC since Xbox 360 lol. My spec and parts so far are: Gigabyte X570s UD Ryzen 9 5900x Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Crucial P3 Plus 2TB M.2 SSD Phanteks PH-P1000PS Revolt X 1000W ATX -- the reason for this PSU is for building a server later on a mini-itx--- Games I enjoy for fun not competitive but also for some 3D work such as doll creation for my daughter to 3D print off a Neptune, so blender or fusion 360 -still looking at which 2 will be best for a starter COD pUBG Anno 1800 Warhammer 40k total war Space marines 2 when released City skyline2 Ms flight sim 2 Cyberpunk 2077 Tomb raider Assassin's creed Resident evil Alan wake 2 To name just a few Help on which GPU to take on a budget of no more than £800 would also look to purchase 2nd if there is no issue with that option. Read about FSR. DLSS. Ray tracing etc. And how these can effect game play and graphics on AMD and Navida ... Just stuck on which direct to go. Budget (including currency): Less than £800 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming and some 3D model making with daughter for 3D printing fun Other details. Hi, I’m building a sleeper-kind of pc in a really old case. There are 2 front side usb’s and this is the internal cable (see picture). This is’t the usb 2.0 standard, the “filled” hole is on another pin. Is there any way I can plug this in? It can plug in half of my usb 3.0 mobo header but I’m no sure if that would be a good idea… anyone experience with this? motherboard is MSI b450m -A pro Max II EDIT: It's a Compaq Presario 5WV396 5000 series. If anyone knows if they have a special USB pinout or something, let me know pls. Thanks!

Budget (including currency): $2000 USD (not a hard cap) Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: R/RStudio, Excel (I know I know not the optimal tool for the job), probably some Pythonu (not sure if I will get into PyTorch), I will probably play some games on it but not the primary use case Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently using an ASUS Laptop from 2013 with an i7-4700HQ, a GTX 760M and 12 GB of RAM that had throttling issues due to absolutely horrendous thermals from Day 1 (it could barely run CS:GO and TF2). It’s on its last legs (and has been for a while). While usable for basic web browsing and data manipulation, it chugs pretty aggressively with even relatively modest data tasks in Excel or R (or even just opening a webpage). I run the laptop connected to a 2560 x 1440 75 hz monitor and use the laptop screen as my second screen and would definitely want to continue to run two screens (I have a second monitor I use for work). I am a bit of a hobbyist when it comes to data science and analytics and have been slowly teaching myself R and RStudio but I still do a lot of the modeling I have been doing in Excel. The data sets I work with are not that big, which is why I have gotten as far as I have with a computer I bought over 10 years ago. I am looking to upgrade to a desktop that should hopefully be able to handle these kinds of workloads better than my current machine as well as give me enough horsepower to be able to comfortably expand into more resource intensive operations like ML and Computer Vision. Obviously I would probably do well to get as fast of a CPU with as many cores as possible within my budget but I am not sure if it’s worth going all the way to an i9 at the expense of forgoing or significantly limiting my graphics card. I am also concerned about cooling an i9 as my perception from watching enough LTT videos is that A. They are impossible to cool and B. The AIOs that all the system integrators seem to use to cool them all suck at cooling. If I made it this far with a mobile i7 from 2013 is the latest generation of desktop i7 and an air cooler going to be all I really need and maybe I don’t even need to spend my whole budget? I do not game on my current system at all because of its limitations but would like to have the option to do a little gaming on the new system without having to worry if desired. If I could give myself an easy upgrade path on my GPU in the future if I did decide to go deeper down the gaming route or I end up doing more gpu intensive data processing in the future. Lastly, a couple pieces of errata. I have never built a computer before. I certainly think that I could build my own computer if needed, but my preference would be to buy a system from a PC Builder if it’s not too much more expensive to do so. If I do build it myself, a custom water cooling loop is probably out. I am relatively strongly team blue and team green (yeah…I know) but could probably be convinced to defect if there’s a significant cost or performance based reason to.

Budget (including currency): No budget but would like to not go over $2000 CAD for the parts I do not own already. Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All games and any future games I hope. Streaming. Other details https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/TwoNinjas/saved/7CvjWZ So I have been flip flopping on which CPU to buy for DDR5 so I would like some advice on the pros and cons of both. I have a lot of trouble on comparing the cpus and the price/value. I have an AMD processor already listed in my parts list but the Intel cpu I was thinking was a i9-12700k. I At the moment in this build I already have the GPU and the Case from my previous PC. I will be buying the parts on sale and one or two at a time. If you think there is anyway I can save on the build that would keep the DDR5 speeds be awesome.

I am very new to PC Building, my friends introduced me to it and I love it a lot already, without even buying anything. That's because i'm afraid i'm doing somethinng wrong, like too little psu, great components but due to limitation by bad components there's no effect, too many/few coolers. Etc. I will use my PC to get the best possible performance at gaming and in general, from FPS to storage to using multiple applications at once. Here's a list of what i'm planning to buy (I do not have a budget limit but I don't need the best of the best of everything, I think.) SSD: 2TB (What else should I think about when buying a SSD? Is 2TB enough? I'll download many shooters and racing games.) HDD: 8TB | 5400 RPM RAM: 2x 16GB | 6000 Mhz CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G | 6-core GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT | Boost freq: 2430Mhz | Normal (?) freq: 2124Mhz Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus (What do I tell about this?) PSU: EVGA 600 GD | 80+ GOLD 600w Coolers: EK AIO 280mm | D-RGB (Water cooling) 2x PC Case: Magniumgear NEO Qube 2 (Simple but efficient and sleek) Let me know if there's anything I forgot, should remove, add, etc. I get that you don't want to read all of this, so even if you check just 4 components, or for example tell me if my PSU is alright, you have my thanks!

Budget (including currency): $1000 but I have parts so it is now at 536 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fortnite, Fivem, Construction Simulator, ATS Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): List to Current Parts I have: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/SheriffColeLive/saved/#view=NfFfmG // I want to play at 1080p 144 FPS. I don't need any peripherals. Based on the budget I have, I need help choosing a motherboard (DDR5 support) , RAM, GPU, and Case. If I go slightly over my budget, I totally understand and it is not a big deal. I appreciate any help as I am a newbie and this is my first time building a computer!

So I'm going for a high end PC build, going to use a 7950x3d and 7900 xtx Red Devil, but I'm kind of torn on which Motherboard I should go for. Want something equally as functional and quality as well as stylish. Any suggestions?

Should I opt for a first generation Intel graphic card in my pc build or just go for a NVIDIA RTX 3060? Here are the full specifications: Processor: Ryzen 5 5600 Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 GPU: Intel Arc A750 or RTX 3060 (haven't decided yet) RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB PSU: Cooler Master 650watt SMPS Need help choosing the graphic card, also if anything other than GPU seems off in this build I would appreciate your advice Thanks

Budget (including currency): Max. 1000 Euro Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Everything Gaming (1080p to 1440p), Occasional rendering/editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 240+fps for Shooter (Cs,Valorant), ~140 fps for other games (Cyberpunk, Modded MC), I've been using my Computer for around 6 years now with an 'Intel i7 8700k';'RTX 2080' and 4 x 8GB 2400Mhz RAM. My reason for wanting an upgrade is that I can't run said shooters at 240+fps making my 240hz monitor I got gifted by a friend "useless" and some hardware problems I can only relate to my systems age/usage proportions (more frequent blue screens or sudden power-offs for no apparent reason). It's honestly painful letting go of this once "power-house"...but I was able to finally save up said budget with my college-job. Anyway, enough lore and into my upgrade idea: Corsair Crystal 570x with 6 fans (Current Case) Gigabyte Aorus X670 Elite AX (New motherboard for CPU) Ryzen 7 7800x3d (CPU replacement) 2 x 16 GB 6600Mhz G.Skill trident (RAM replacement) RTX 2080 (GPU stays, for now) 950W Be Quiet (Current PSU) Concerning CPU cooling I'm already expecting my old 'Corsair H80i water cooler' to not be sufficient anymore/fit onto the socket. Any recommendations? ALSO I'd really love being more mobile in terms of case-size, so if there are any recommendations in the ATX, mATX category let me hear 'em ! Thanks in advance for reading, and (maybe) answering! Have good day!

Hey everyone, I am building my first pc in a fractal torrent compact, I have everything set up and it turns on and temps are normal. I have a Z790-P PRIME WiFi Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard And i cant find where to plug in this last cord that starts at the top of the case. Its not apart of the psu. It came attached to the case and it attaches to a metal plate on the top of the case where the psu compartment is. To me it looks like a grounding cord but i dont know where it plugs into on the motherboard. Any thoughts? (I attached an image of the plug and where it starts at the top of the case)
