Budget (including currency): 1100 USD Country: Mexico Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: WoW, Minecraft, Elden Ring, SolidWorks, Blender, Visual Code. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): -https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tmPJ7R This is the PC that i have already, i didn't find the case nor the PSU, but both are from EVOTEC, the PSU it's a P4600W 600Watts, i want to upgrade it to use it for college, my main priorities are: -I want the case to be compact and to have good airflow, but mainly, to be available in amazon.com.mx, since i'm from Mexico -In my budget i include the GPU and the monitor, which i would like to be 1440p and 144 hz if possible. -Preferably the CPU should have integrated graphics because i will not buy all the components at once so i want to be able to use the computer before buying the GPU. -I would like the storage to be fast and reliable, an m.2 NVME ssd would be perfect, it doesn't need to be really big tough because i can put 2.5 inch ssd's in the PC. -If possible i want a modular PSU for easier cable management Other than that i'm completely open for suggestions and ideas and if some part of my actual pc it's still usable then i am willing to use it (pd: sorry for the immense amount of dust, i haven't had time to clean it in at least 4 months or so.) 3d25fb16-e021-4689-b41e-380144713d44.jfif 42827c70-8416-4d15-972b-3b884937cfa7.jfif f34a60ed-737c-473f-9bab-980b440b3e98.jfif

Budget (including currency): $2,400 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I'd like a PC to do my future work on. I'm not really sure what I'd like to do in life yet so I think I'd like to dabble in different things like game development, linux, cybersecurity, virtual machines, programming, IT stuff, etc. I won't really be doing any gaming and the games that I'd like to make are simple 2D ones. Other details: After asking around I was informed that I don't need a discrete GPU since I won't be doing any gaming/crypto/heavy video editing so I should look for a CPU with integrated graphics. I also need a monitor as well, I'm not sure if I'd like to upgrade to 2 in the future. I found this keyboard and mouse for pretty cheap on amazon and they look fine to me and as for the OS I'll just use the free version of Windows 10. Also having an ethernet connection isn't really an option for me so I'm going to have to use WiFi. I also prefer efficiency over cosmetics, I heard that mesh cases are better for airflow so I'd like that if possible. I'm personally not the biggest fan of flashy/RBG builds. I'm also not sure if I'd want to overclock in the future. I'd also be really happy if I didn't have to spend my entire budget. If I could get a good pc that works for my needs and that'll last me for a good couple of years while I could still save money I'd be really happy. I'm also hoping to buy everything by the end of the week. Any advice or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I wanna build a workstation after using laptops for years. Budget: CDN$ 2000 (max). The less the better but if the money I invest can stretch the lifetime of the machine, I don't mind spending up to 2k. Location: Toronto, Canada Aim: Android Development Large Java & Scala Projects (e.g.: compiling TinoDB) Virtual Machines of different Linux distributions with GUI & Windows to test my software (I don't run multiple instances at the same time. Maximum of two instances is good enough) All other (comparatively smaller) development in Java, Python, Docker. Light video editing to prepare programming tutorials. This machine will be my Plex media server Other day to day stuff like browsing, watching movies/Youtube I don't play games at all. Monitor: Already have Dell U3818dw (3840 x 1600 resolution). I don't have any plan to upgrade the monitor in the near future. In case if required down the line, I may add an extra monitor but that's unlikely. Peripherals: Already have the following: Wireless keyboard Wireless mouse Wireless & BT headsets WiFi adapter Dell U3818dw monitor and quite satisfied with the built-in speaker of my monitor OS: Linux Mint 20.2 (No dual booting) Why am I upgrading: My 6 years old laptop with i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz and 8G ram struggles to handle Android Studio and couple of Firefox tabs. Launching IntelliJ Idea is taking minutes. Building large Java projects takes 20-30 minutes. Still I would squeeze more from my current laptop if I can but looks like building a new PC would save me lot of compiling time and let me browse while coding. RAM: Need at least 32G. At the moment, memory is one of the bottleneck with my laptop. I don't expect to keep upgrading the machine so I expect it to handle anything I throw at it for the next 6-7 years without any upgrades. After I utilize it to its full extent, I will go for a new build. RGB: Not my taste. I do prefer a nice looking casing but don't want the fancy RGB stuff. If the case has good ventilation and if possible Type C ports, I'd prefer them. I'm gonna build a PC after 10-15 years. So please bare with my lack of knowledge with the hardware stack. This is what I've chosen using a PC builder app. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, 16-thread unlocked desktop processor without cooler AM4: CDN$ 498 Looks like I need to get a cooler for this processor and read about heat issues. Should I choose something else? Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX Motherboard: CDN$ 389 Don't need RGB or built-in WiFi but prefer Asus over other brands ASUS GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 HDMI DVI Graphics Card (GT1030-2G-CSM) CDN$ 139 I hope it can handle light video editing. Also need at least HDMI to use my Dell U3818DW with the speaker. Didn't go for expensive GPUs since I don't play games. Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 X 16GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 1.35V Desktop Memory - Black: CDN$ 230 XPG SX6000 Lite 1TB PCIe 3D NAND PCIe Gen3x4 M.2 2280 NVMe 1.3 R/W up to 1800/1200MB/s SSD (ASX6000LNP-1TT-C) CDN$ 156 Not sure if the brand is good or bad. Your advice is much appreciated. EVGA 450 BR, 80+ Bronze 450W, 3 Year Warranty, Power Supply 100- BR-0450-K1: CDN$ 39 Picked by the pc builder app. Not sure how good it is. Cooler Master MasterBox MB600L ATX Mid-Tower, Sleek Design with Red Side Trim and Acrylic Side Panel: CDN$ 59 Picked by the pc builder app. Not sure how good it is. According to amazon.ca, current total price is CDN$ 1510. I hope this build can give me good performance for 6-7 years (Please correct me if I'm expecting too much). As I mentioned earlier, I don't mind spending up to CDN $2000 if the value for that money is justifiable. I'd like to get your feedback on how good this setup is and if there is something I can adjust to get the best value for the money without compromising the performance a lot. Thanks in advance.

Not very knowledgeable with hardware; sorry! I bought a new desktop with ryzen 5700 G APU. No GPU. 32 GB Ram (G skills ripjaws), 3600 MHz, XMP switched on. Mother board is x570 tomohawk by MSI, updated Bios. I noticed my computer got hanged twice(Screen stuck with whatever foreground). Both while just running YouTube. Not much background process running, hardly one or two more tabs opened. The second time although it got hanged specifically when I was seeking faster and it just couldn't buffer, screen got stuck and audio started...cluttering. Also, a friend told it could be because of some lag between cpu and integrated graphics; not certain with his guess, and told me to post here. Can any one help my diagnose the problem.

Hello everyone! I've made a decision to upgrade my PC gradually. Currently I am rocking Core i7-8700k, 1080ti and 32GB of DDR4 RAM. When I've started seeing my CPU as "reccomended" for the game I knew the time has come to make the updrage. I am aiming for high-end build with Core i9-13900K or Ryzen 9 7950x with a 4080/4090. I don't have all the money right now to just go online and order all of the parts, so I've came up with this plan: purchase new case, PSU, DDR5 RAM, CPU, motherboard and cooling for the CPU and stick with the 1080ti untill i have the money to buy 4080/4090.(I mostly play online multiplayer games with 1500+ players online on the same server, because of that new processor will be more beneficial than powerful GPU) +because of my plan I have plenty of time for researching the best components for my build(haven't really followed the PC hardware scene from 2018). AMD vs Intel: Current Intel's LGA1700 is basically dead from upgrading POV, 14th gen processors coming second half of this year will have a new socket, AMD's AM5 will be supported 2 more years. But does it really matters if I'm upgrading my rig once every 5-6 years? Today launched the new Ryzen 3XD chips, I don't know about the prices on them @my local PC hardware shops. I'll waint untill CPU situation becomes clearer than it is today for me. After watching the DDR5 tests and reviews it is clear for me that not so fast ram with good timings is the best choise. 5600-6000 speed with CL 26/32. I'm thinking about G.Skill Trident Z5 series. Basically choosing RAM and PSU is not that hard, so I'm not going to write a lot about it, I've already made my mind about RAM and I'll just pick some 1000w PSU from seasonic or corsair later. Please don't laugh at me, but PC case is the hardest choice for me. I've read/watched a lot of reviews on this topic: mid tower vs full tower / mesh vs solid front panel / best fan configuration for the optimal airflow. From what I've read: Mid Tower ATX case should be fine and mesh front panel is much better choice. I don't really have a budget for this build as I'm not purchasing all of the parts at once, but spending 500+ euros for Full tower case seems to me irrational. Currently I have some mid tower case from beQuiet! and it has glass side panel. My PC is standing on the floor next to my desk and I really don't care abot looks/aesthetics of it, excluding the outerior. I'm actually thinking about swapping every case fan for noctua ones in the future case for better airflow/temps at the same fans RPMs. So I'm asking you guys for help. Can you suggest good ATX Mid Tower case without glass panel and with mesh front panel? I want to fit a 360mm radiatior in this case as well(CPU is going to be water cooled.) Thank you for your time!

I Just finished a new PC build: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/s22vMb All was working. But i wasnt able to Sync my Msi aRGB fans with the motherboard software... So i Just unplugged and plugged-in the d_led cable i have connected them with. When i starter the PC again, all was working but the led of the CPU block (that was previously working) and there was no Output on the monitor. I dont know what i did wrong. All the aRGB fans are connected with the thing built in the case.

Hello people of the LTTForums! So ive just built a new PC (WOOP!) and I own the ROG Strix LC 360 AiO Cooler (smexy af tbh). Now ive went into BIOS to disable mobo rgb lights when the pc is off, but I cant find a way to disable the RGB effects on the AiO pump. Also looked for some software tweaking, but the "Armory Crate" gives me nothing when it comes to shutdown state rgb effects. Is there a way even to disable those lights when the PC is off? I know there is somewhere.. Thanks for the support! And for those who wonders: Ryzen 5 3600x 16GB Corsair Vengence Pro RGB 3200Mhz Strix LC 360 Strix 2080 Super Advanced Strix B450-F Gaming ROG Thor 850W-P Came out really good!

Now i'm not sure if any of these GPU's will be compatible with this mother board. (also which is better gpu? gtx1050ti or rx580 8gb?) In matter of building myself the PC i will be able to assemble it myself but choosing compatible parts i don't really know too much for it. Hey there! This summer I will be building my first PC. I am really confused by the power supply/PSU. I know that the 80+ ratings goes from 80+ (white) to 80+ titanium. I am on a strict budget of around $500-$600. 80+ white is obviously cheaper so I was thinking of going with that. I just want to make sure that 80+ white will still be ok for my PC. Thanks!
