Hello, i encountered weird behaviour on my PC. When i turn it on it goes into the UEFI with no debuging leds on, on the motherboard besides the boot led. And the weird thing is the PC works since i use it. Also this behaviour only appears after the PC goes into standby mode. Motherboard: MSI tomahawk b650 CPU: Ryzen 7800x3d GPU: Amd RX 7900 XTX Ram: 32gb gskill ddr5 PSU: be quiet 1000w CPU Cooler: Noctua nhd15 Sorry for inconsistent small and big lettering i am writing this off my phone. Help would be appreciated.

So I was playing Minecraft as well as watching YouTube on my PC about an hour ago and then suddenly I hear this loud "POP". My PC immediately turned off and the lights in my room turned off too. Reset the circuit breaker, my lights are working now but the PC still won't turn on. I tried resetting the PC and the circuit breaker a few times but nothing happened. I currently have it unplugged. The computer is an IBuyPower, I've had it for two years and I got it from Best Buy. I'm unsure what happened, can someone tell me what happened and what I should do? I just wanna make sure my PC isn't permanently screwed over.

Hello all. I am trying to solve this issue with my pc. I checked for all components one by one. GPU ,ram, storage drives even changed the psu. Removed CMOS and plucked it back. Now the cpu light on the ez debug led which comes on my h310m msi Mobo lights up and stops. Any suggestions? I followed the instructions from the video by Techsource. The problem still persists.

Hello guys, I just finished building my new PC and I can`t get it to work properly. When I turn on the PSU and then press the power button the PC turns on, the RGB comes to life, the fans start spinning slowly. Some of the motherboard´s EZ debug LEDS turn on: The red CPU led turns on first for about 7 seconds, then the DRAM led is skipped and the white VGA led turns on for about 5 seconds and in some cases the green boot LED also turns on (They sort of cycle through chronologically and only one LED is lit at a time but the DRAM one is skipped). During this time the fans start to spin increasingly faster until, about 20 seconds later, I hear a click and the entire PC turns off. Of course I never got a display signal. First of all here are the specs of my PC build: Specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900x GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080 LHR Motherboard: MSI MPG X570s Edge Max WiFi RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL 2x16GB PSU: Corsair RM850x (2021) SSD: Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 NVME SSD CPU cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 360mm AIO with 3x 120mm fans Other fans: 4x Corsair LL120 2x Corsair 120mm Case: Corsair 5000d Airflow Things I already did: -I made sure all the cables were connected correctly -I reset the CMOS with the board´s dedicated CMOS button and by physically removing the battery: Nothing changed -I updated the BIOS: Nothing changed -I re-positioned my RAM sticks checking all RAM slots in single channel & dual channel configurations. I also tested all RAM slots with a single RAM stick: Nothing changed -I swapped the SSD with another M.2 NVME SSD: Nothing changed -I put the GPU in a different PCIE slot and even removed it entirely to see if the PC would at least not shut down immediately, knowing that I wouldn`t get a display signal anyway: Again nothing changed -I tried using different ATX, PCIE & Sata cables (Leftover cables from the PSU): Nothing changed The only possibilities left are: Damaged CPU, broken motherboard or malfunctioning PSU (Although the fans & lighting turn on, the voltage may vary) I can`t imagine having broken any of the parts myself, since I grounded myself and handled all of the components with more care than you anyone could imagine. I also made sure not to touch any sensitive areas of the components. Since I don`t have any parts to test the rest of my PC´s components nor do I have the budget to acquire further ones or friends that could lend me their components, I´m truly frustrated. I hope somebody on this forum can help me. I would be eternally grateful! Thank you very much in advance!

CPU AMD 3800XT Mobo Crosshair VII GPU GTX 2070 Ram Corsair 3600mhz 2x8gb PSU Corsair HX750i So I just moved and my PC was working fine etcetc, when I plugged it in I got the Qcode “8” which I know is a CPU related issue. When I have the 8pin and 4pin plugged into the CPU I get no CPU lights but taking the 8pin out leaving the 4pin in I get the red CPU light. When I power on the CPU fan spins then shuts off, the GPU stays powered. I’ve reseated my ram multiple times. When I tried to reflash BIOS it didn’t actually work through the USB port on the back either. What should I do? I’m lost at this point

PC Not Turning On and Windows not booting correctly
NoIntrosWooooo posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Okay sooooo, figured I would explain everything to understand history of my computerfrom the start as my local tech guy cleary doesn't know enough for the situation of my computer (this is all in a 6 week time frame since this started happening to my computer) Orignally I would turn on my computer and sometimes it would go into the wrong boot device screen. (I would have to turn off and than on, go into bios than load optimize defaults and would always than work) and than sometimes my computer would only turn on for split second than off again. I would leave it for 5 mins and than would power on and I would more often than not I would have to go into bios and load optimized defaults. But than it just never let me boot into windows againand I tried every youtube tutorial out. So than I took it to my local tech guy the guy that installed my 5900x cpu for me like 10 months (important info for later btw) and told him what was happening and he immediately was like oh yep your windows has gone glitchy/faulty you are going to have to hard wipe your ssd and reinstall windows. I was pretty annoyed as this meant I would have to lose a shit ton of footage but my computer would be fixed atleast. So i wiped my ssd from bios and reinstalled windows from usb and when I turned on pc it worked and I didnt have to do the load optimized defaults so I was happy. So once logged in I thought I would turn of my pc and see if it would turn on straight away and ofcourse it turns on for a split second exactly like before and my heart sinks as I had now realised I had lost all the footage for nothing. I take it back to him and he mentions nothing about getting me to hard wipe my pc not even a sorry and tells me that it must be because my 5900x is too beefy for my motherboard as its only kinda compatiable? Aorus b450 pro wifi. He than tells me I need to get anew motherboard so I buy one of him and he puts its in for a price. And now the pc is atleast turning on flawlessy but still geting the boot device not detected and would have to go back to the load optimized defaults for windows to work. Fastforwad to today 5 days after the new motherboard and my pc turns off randomly while on and wont turn back on but my motherboard lights are on and I cant take it back to him as I have just got covid (i have had great luck recently I know) I also don't really want to take it back to him (and cant fkr the next 5 days till covid is gone) and I reallly dont want to give him more money to fix it when he made me factory reset my ssd and buy a new motherboard and its still not working ahhaah (ps I will be active in this forum and happy to give any more further detail pictures etc as I cant really do anything for the next few days without a pc and covid ahahah) -

Hi I was using my pc last night and my girlfriends accidentally unplugged the wrong plug from the extension lead causing the pc to turn off, I thought nothing of it. I tried rebooting the system and it didn't seem to boot. Usually on the gfx card there are 2 lights were the pci connects, but now once the psu is turned on and the system hasn't booted there are no lights. when the psu is on and I try to boot nothing happens no fans no lights apart from the 2 gfx card lights blink for sec then die. I have took the whole system apart and looked for anything visually wrong with the system, nothing wrong. reconnected it all back and reset the bios battery and the cmos, still nothing. so I thought it would of been the PSU so I just decided to go into town and grab a new cx750m to see if the psu was the problem and the same issues are present, now the only thing that I can think of is it the motherboard? specs; i5-4670k gtx 770 16 gb ddr3 ram gigabyte b85-hd3 corsair 650w 120gb evo 1th wd hhd

System Specs: Custom Build OS – Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.10 – Dual Boot x64 bit Age – Aprox 7 years old CPU – Intel i5 4670k GPU – Radeon R9 280x MB – GIGABYTE Z87X-UD3H PSU(OLD) – CORSAIR TX 550X PSU – CORSAIR RM 650X Hello good people. I’ve come to you for help in saving an old computer. Back story: From the start, the computer always ran just fine, except for an occasional blue screen. I started noticing some weird power behavior not too long ago, where, sometimes turning off the machine would result in it automatically turning back on again. Not a big deal. And then I started getting these strange crashes with a grey screen and vertical lines. I never managed to figure out why, and I didn’t pay them too much attention as they would only happen ever so often. About 4 months ago, my PC randomly switched off, without any reason at all. In fact at the time I was merely browsing the web. Naturally I thought it was my PSU gone bad, so I just replaced it ( see system specs ) After that everything seemed to be running appropriately again. At least for a while… I started getting the vertical line crashes again, this time more frequently, I lowered the clock speeds on my GPU and that seemed to minimize the issue. Also suddenly my secondary monitor started jumping and twitching like an epileptic. Weirdly enough, I could fix this by reinstalling the GPU drivers each time I booted up the machine. But that wasn’t the end of it, just until about a week ago, my pc started randomly shutting off again. This increased in frequency until yesterday, where I was playing a game and it turned off again. Only this time it wouldn’t turn on again. What’s strange to me though, is that some times It will turn on and immediately turn back off again. But other times it will turn on completely and won’t boot, I get a b2 error code ( or 62 not sure ) So my general thought is that I need to replace my rig. But maybe there’s still some hope for it? Any thoughts?

Long story short, in hopes of reaching higher frequency, I set the ram timings to max and then thought of decreasing them step by step to get the lowest timings and highest frequency. Now pc won't boot up, even after removing and reinserting cmos battery. The fans spin at max speed and pc doesn't 'bootloop' like it used to after a failed oc attempt. One thing I observed that when i press the power button just after reinserting the battery, led's in fans get dimmer for a second then become bright again, otherwise they remain brightest throughout. Pls help me out and thanks.

So while I was playing TF2 and destroying f2ps, my screen suddenly turned a brownish colour and the sound was stuttering. After a minute or so the screen turned black and the sound stopped. So i've unplugged my pc... When I tried rebooting it, my monitor displayed a 'check this connection' message. When I plugged my cable into the iGPU, it said there was no connection. So I turned it off. I cried. I waited a few minutes and plugged my cable back into my main GPU. And then there were the marvelous windows updates. And it seems to be working now but I'm still freakin worried...

I've searched around a bit, but honestly I'm to lazy to look into this deeper now because I have to study for a midterm that's tomorrow. So in short, my parents' PC died this morning while they were skyping. I was not present (I was still sleeping) so I can only tell you what they said, which is that when they stopped the call the computer restarted, but at the login screen (win8, the part where your picture comes up to be extra specific) it restarted again and this went on. So after a few hours I said "ok, I'll have a quick look at it". So I push the power button and almost nothing happens. The fans start up, and the optical drive starts clicking (at about 1/3 Hz freq.) despite it not having anything in it (meaning a disc... not, you know, components... anyway). I know this because I pushed the eject button and there was no disc in it. Then the very first screen in the startup sequence (you know, the one before the motherboard pic.) came up, and then nothing happened, just went back to black again. I tried booting again but now that one screen didn't even come up. So at first I had no idea what this could be, now I have a niggling feeling that it's a power supply faliure. But since I've never had a psu faliure I have no idea. It could be the motherboard or the CPU for all I know. The HDD is fairly new (maybe 4-5 months old), I doubt it is that (at least I hope so, I have all my "You rang m'lord" on it...). I can check the video card because I do have an other one (5770) but I doubt it's that. I also have an other mb with a cpu that's wedged into it, but I don't know weather it still works. I think I'm goint to have to take it to the repair shop because I don't have the proper parts to do a thorugh sweep, but I'm wondering what you guys' thought are on this.

My friend just finished building an AMD cpu build with a Nvidia gpu and the pc doesn't turn on. No fans or lights power on at all. The little gpu light shows when the psu is powered on. He has tried different combinations on the front panel connectors and has done the exact method shown in the motherboard manual but still no power. He has tried different outlets around his house but still no power. Any ideas on what is happening? When I start my computer my screens and keyboard does not work, any idea what can be the cause? I have of course tried to disconnect everything and restarted but nothing helps. Can it be the motherboard that is not working?
