Hello! today I got SVP latest version to use the RIFE AI Interpolation function but, after a few seconds while trying to play a video with PotPlayer the whole PC freezes, the mouse and keyboard do not respond and the screen all around the area that the video covers do not respond till the video ends, and if I try to do something while it is frozen that action gets performed after the video ends (and this happens without even having the RIFE profile selected, just by using normal SVP, does anyone have any idea what could be happening? thank you in advance Btw I normally can play 1080p content with almost everything maxed out without problem, I have Windows 10, 8gb RAM, the i7-2680qm and the quadro 3000m, if you need any info just ask for it, if you have any idea on what could be happening of coure And I know they have a forum but I post this here because its most likely to get a fastest response here I think Additionally, if I select the RIFE profile, it does nothing, it does not increase the number of frames while a normal profile does

After this, i come back later and was everthing playing ok, when another lightning hit far (believe me i was on discord with a friend who live in the same city and only listen it by the call) and the PC FREEZED only restarting by holding the button, after this ever wen i play an intesive game it freezes after a while, i started to monitor the temperatures and realized that it aways freezes wen reaches or passes 80degrees celcius, with exception of one or two times wen it was at 75, i tried everthing internet give me so far, system checs, memory checs, storage checs, updating drivers, and now reinstaled windows intarly. Nothing has changed. It is probably a damage caused by the lighning but i dont want to believe, so if somoene can help me ill realy aprecciate. more: some other things i did to test it was chage the card with an gtx960, didn,t freeze. And put the RTX2070 card in the old system and played RD2 at max settings for more than an hour and did not freeze, at this point i start thinking im very very dumm and probably put incompatible hardware into my system. waiting for help please, next step is to contact eter an professional suport or the energy company. Hello, So over the past few months, my PC seems to randomly freeze when running intensive tasks. And this has gotten to the point where it's started to ruin my experience when playing games, programming and even just watching YouTube videos at 1080p. I have done various things, such as Swap out the RAM for a new sticks, changed the DIMM slots they are located in. Swapped the motherboard. Swapped the GPU. Re-installed windows 8.1 multiple times on different HDDs. Checked all wires on the motherboard and PSU. Unfortunately, none of these seemed to work and I am totally lost as to what can be causing the issue, below are my computer specifications and software that I currently have installed. PC Specs: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/wRZNtJ Parts that don't exist: Video Card: 2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 200 Series (MSI) Storage: 465GB Seagate ST3500312CS ATA Device (SATA) 2x 1863GB Western Digital WDC WD20EFRX-68EUZN0 (SATA) The current software that I have installed on my machine are: http://prntscr.com/gm7ti4 Jetbrains Toolbox installs applications (IDEs and don't list them on the program features, the programs that have been installed are: IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, PhpStorm, CLion) I have also updated all my drivers to the latest versions just to let you know. If you need anything else, I am happy to provide. Thanks in advance for the assistance!

I asked this question here before, but i'm not actually sure if my HDD is dying or not. As i said before sometimes my pc's mouse cursor will just randomly freeze and portray the loading symbol for a few seconds, then my HDD or Motherboard (not sure which) will make a 3 -4 second screech sound then a single tick sound and everything resumes back to normal. I'm not sure if this is a HDD problem after all. I've done many error checks for my HDD and ram too, and theres never any errors. I don't want to spend a load of money on an SSD if it doesn't fix the issue. The HDD is like 6 - 7 years old, which makes me think it's the problem, but with no errors i'm not really sure. Also I do already have a simular age 120gb adata boot drive, but I don't think thats the issue here.

So recently, somtimes my pc's mouse cursor will just randomly freeze and portray the loading symbol for a few seconds, then my HDD will make a tick sound and everything resumes back to normal. I've got a feeling it's my 6 year old HDD finally packing up, but I just want to be sure if it is that before I fork out cash for a new one. If anyone can assist me with this I'd appreciate it. Thats all, thanks.

Hello all, I'm having some incredibly frustrating issues with my PC. For the last several weeks it will crash seemingly at random. After a few hours gaming, or only watching YouTube, or even doing literally nothing at the desktop. Sometimes it goes a few days with no issues, sometimes it crashes repeatedly. Its usually a complete lock-up. No response from anything, including the power button, and I am forced to flip the switch on the PSU. I've tried 3 different graphics cards, 2 sets of RAM, 2 PSUs, 2 motherboards, and 2 boot drives each with a fresh Win10 install. Both motherboards had the issue before and after updating everything there was to update from manufacturers. At this point the only things I have not tried is a new CPU and replacing my surge protector. Event Viewer shows no useful information. There are only normal "Information" entries showing no issues or errors until a sudden "Critical" from where I've had to hard reset. Temperatures are well within range when this happens. Highest temp was 67C on my CPU during the most recent crashes. I'm truly at a loss here and figured I should check with the peeps here. Been a long time lurker, but never really posted. If anybody has any tips at all, let me know. BTW current specs are Ryzen 2700X Asus TUF X570 Gaming wifi EVGA 2070 Super Black Edition Gigabyte B700H G-Skill Trident Z RGB (2x8GB @ 3200Mhz) Samsung 850 EVO M.2 500GB ADATA SX6000NP NVMe M.2 500GB WD Blue 1TB SSD EK Fluid Gaming kit (probs not relevant but just in case) Be Quiet Dark Base 900 Pro

Earlier I had updated to the October update, i.e. Version 1809. My PC would just freeze up completely. This would happen randomly, either just when I've started to use it, or after a few hours. Even the cursor wouldn't move. I would still keep getting a display output. I would have to hard reset the thing to get it to work again. It froze up regardless of if it was idle or not. The CPU and GPU temps were fine. I checked the memory, it was fine. Eventually, I decided to roll back to 1803, and it was working like a charm. I would keep getting the message to update my PC (Which I would ignore). Today when I got back home, my PC had updated, Somebody in my house might've done it.Anyways, I was just wondering if there was any way of fixing this, or would I just have to rollback again. I really don't want to because I was enjoying dark theme on the file manager, the clipboard history, and the Snip & Sketch thing.

I have this problem, when PC just freezing up/hang on my old rig and new one. The only 2 parts left from old rig are PSU and GPU, everything else is brand new (since june 2020). There is no BSOD, there is no critical errors in the event viewer, only 1 which is kernel-power 41 from me having to do hard reboot. Freezes are pretty random, PC can freeze 2 times within two hours and then 2 or even 3 weeks of flawless work. Since i build this PC, this happened 14times. Most of the time when freezes are happening (IF not all), while me playing WoW. I don't really remember if this was happening without WoW running, not sure anymore. Screen just freezing, sound would continue for 5-10 seconds and stop aswell. I have been playing other games for hundreds and hundreds of hours without any freezes going on, games like BL3, PoE, DOOM, Wolf, Outer Worlds and so on, much much more demanding games than WoW. No, i don't have overheating issues. Bios updated. Windows updated. Ram checked for multiple hours in memtest86 and testmem5 @ anta777 extreme preset. No errors. CPU is at stock atm, in prime it can reach 85c ~, running without any bsods/errors. In gaming it usually 40-60c (depends on a game) with some spikes to 65c (like when loading something up). GPU is underlvolted to 0.95v at 1921mhz with 2 noctua fans instead of stock cooling. Fans set to 900-1000rpm, temp is up to 60c. No errors/driver crashes. As i mentioned before, only GPU and PSU is from my old rig. I can't really test PSU, but i'm using it for about 6years now +-. So yeah, i have tried many different troubleshooting stuff, but it's still happening. I'll try to get other PSU from a friend in a few days. I really hope its a somehow faulty PSU, which is messing up in low gaming load (like WoW). Any help appreciated. Hey there! So I've been having this extremely frustrating issue with my PC for the last month or so. Every now and then when my PC goes in idle mode, when I try to click the mouse or the keyboard, nothing happens. The PC freezes altogether. I tried ctrl+alt+del and everything, but I can't seem to shake this freeze in any way but shut down my computer and turn it back on (from the button). I never got this problem before the last month, I don't know what happened. Like I said, these freezes occur when my computer goes to sleep, but it has happened to freeze right when I was browsing Chrome, playing a game, etc. a few times. When I started to get these freezes I was on windows 7 and I haven't had my OS installed in three years, so I thought it definitely has something to do with that. I installed Windows 10, installed all the drivers and then a day later I started getting these freezes again. I want to mention that I've been also having some issues with my USB for a long time. I can't enter bios with my USB keyboard, I have to plug it in right after the beep when you start the computer to get into the BIOS. I ran software tests, like the windows memory diagnostic, Speccy, afterburner but everything seems ok, every component is way below 50 degrees, something like 35 right after this happens (ssd, cpu, gpu, etc). As suggested on problems like these, I also tried resetting the bios but it didn't work. Here's my config: OS is installed on a Kingstone v300 120gb i5 3550k running at standard speed (3,3) *another Kingstone v300 but this one at 240gb *another 1TB Seagate HDD at 7200 Gigabyte P67-DS3-B3 (Socket 1155) MB GTX 770 a 2gb 600W power supply Corsair 8GB ddr3 at 1600 (dual channel) So these are the facts, I'm not sure if I missed anything, but if you have any questions, please ask away. I'm dying to fix this annoying issue... P.S. - After running some tests I thought it was the motherboard, could it be, should I change it? Or is it something with my power supply? Edit: I always used an Antivirus (AVG) I don't have any viruses on my system.

So I have this problem, we have a PC here hooked up to a TV with the sole purpose of showing photo's. Whenever you select a photo in the directory and click on "photo slider" the PC freezes. With "freezes" I mean that the mouse changes to the loading icon and stays that way, you are able to mouse but not able to click on anything. The PC is running Windows Vista but I don't think that is causing the freezes, everything works perfectly fine until the want to use the slider. Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated.
